PE11 Blu-ray play problem, etc.

I just created my first video in PE11 and burned a Blu-ray disc. I made it as an auto play instead of with menus.
When I played it in my Blu-ray player, it would play but functions such as fast forward and rewind were not available.
Any ideas about what would cause this?
Also, I'm somewhat confused about the best method of creating a Blu-ray disc image to burn multiple discs rather than
waiting for each burn to render. It doesn't seem to have this function in PE for Blu-ray although it is available for DVD.
However, I noticed that there are multiple choices for saving as an HD file. Would any of these work?
Also, I have Roxio Toast 11. Would it be better to burn the first disc in PE and then copy the disc in Toast as a disc image?
This would seem to make sense, but I'm wondering if it is the best way.
I'm using a recent model Macbook Pro.
Thanks for any help offered.

Unlike the Publish+Share/Disc DVD and AVCHD, Blu-ray has never had a burn to folder option, just burn to Blu-ray disc.
Many have used the Phantom Burner in conjunction with Premiere Elements to create a disc image for the Blu-ray. I have written about it in several places. Here is the latest.
http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/11/pe12-disc-imagephantom-burner-pe.html
The above is applicable to Premiere Elements 11 Windows.
You wrote for your autoplay Premiere Elements Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc...
When I played it in my Blu-ray player, it would play but functions such as fast forward and rewind were not available.
Any ideas about what would cause this?
This would seem to me to be a function of your player and its remote, not Premiere Elements. For comparative purposes, have you looked at "fast forward" and your player with an autoplay disc as well as a disc with menus in this instance? Are you using a BD-R or BD-RE Blu-ray disc? What do the instructions for your player say about it fast forward function and Blu-ray discs?
You may not be alone.

how to connect my sony blue ray play to wifi via my airport utility?

The airport utility has nothing whatever to do with the sony bluray player.
The airport utility is to setup wireless in the airport.. once you setup wireless then you use the sony setup for wireless in the player as per its manual.
Please do keep the wireless names short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
As well as pure alphanumeric passwords if you want to do this successfully.

  • HP DVD PLAY AND BLU RAY PLAYER PROBLEMS

Hi guys, just had a few problems recently with my HP dvd and blu-ray software....
I have been using the software for about the last 2 years without problems, but recently i have tried using both DVD's and Blu-Ray discs, and they do not start playing either through autoplay (inserting the disc), or hitting the play button on the player.
I have tried updating from the menu, but whenever I try to do this my Internet says that "Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded". However, I do not have any other problems downloading different files and other updates.
If anyone has experienced this problem before or knows how to fix it, please help me out!

Temporarily turn off your internet software. Download and SAVE the update to your desktop, disconnect your computer from the internet, then turn off your antivirus. Do not plug in any USB flash drives as this may transfer viruses. Install the software, when you're done, turn on the antivirus, re-connect your computer to the internet.
I have more HP devices than you'd expect.
1 HP TouchPad 32 GB with Android
    2 HP Touchsmarts (310-1000z and IQ527)
    2 HP Printers (J6480 and J5750)
    1 Laptop (HP DV6253CL)
Have at least some experience in each of those devices, and i'll do my best to help you.
    Kudos if I helped!

  • Premiere Pro CC H.264 Blu-ray rendering problem

    Hi!
I have a problem when try to render AVCHD files (.m2ts) to H.264 Blu-ray. This is the issue that follows me from Premiere Pro CS6 and old machine. When I create a sequence from AVCHD (.m2ts) files and try to export it with H.264 Blu-ray settings (only two changes I made in default settings are multiplexing to TS and change audio to Dolby digital) i got few seconds shorter video file than the original timeline and automatically audio and video are out of sync. I notice that when I try to play rendered video with Windows media player (Media player classic and VLC player also play it the same way) after a while audio is starting to be out of sync. When I import rendered file again into Premiere Pro CC and put it in timeline I can see that my rendered video is shorter than original timeline (I have 4h 30min project and rendered video is 4sec shorter; everything is there but 4sec shorter - probably faster, it is hard to notice how faster because of long timeline, but obviously 4sec faster)
Also, when I take that same project to my friend and render it again everything is ok. He is running a little bit better machine but also he is running Premiere Pro CS6 and I'm running Premiere Pro CC. That was the issue also when he was running Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and run Premiere Pro CS6 a year ago. All settings stays the same when I render and when my friend render the same sequence. I have audio out of sync and he haven't
One more question: Premiere Pro and AME not using Mercury Payback Engine GPU Acceleration at all. In AME I chose renderer: Mercury Payback Engine GPU Acceleration but when I look at NVIDIA inspector I can see that GPU usage is 0% when rendering is in progress. Any idea?
    THX!

    Thank you Jim,
but I'm confused. Same project, absolutely same settings but with different hardware got different results?
About 2 years ago I had AMD Athlon 3200+, ATI Radeon X800XL, 8GB DDR2 RAM, Win 7, Premiere Pro CS6 (AVCHD input, rendering to .m2t, all settings to default, just multiplexing set to TS because I need audio and video multiplexed to be able to play directly from external HDD to LED TV via USB) - result: audio is out of sync.
My friend had Intel i7, nVidia GTX 550, 16GB DDR3 RAM, Win 7, Premiere Pro CS5.5 (same project, AVCHD input, rendering to .m2t, all settings to default, just multiplexing set to TS) - result: everything OK.
Few days ago same thing, but with new hardware - my hardware: Intel i5, nVidia GTX 760, 16GB DDR3 RAM, Win 8.1, Premiere Pro CC (AVCHD input, rendering to .m2t, all settings to default, just multiplexing set to TS) - result: audio out of sync (as a matter of fact video is shorter - I didn't realize that few years ago, but just now).
My friend with his same hardware as above, few years old (AVCHD input, rendering to .m2t, all settings to default, just multiplexing set to TS) - result: everything OK.
Why is video (rendered) shorter than the original timeline? Is it possible because of multiplexing to TS? If it is the reason, why Adobe left us to choose do we want to use multiplexig or not, when it causes such drastic problem? Why Adobe left us so much option to play with? They don't want to certificate every peace of hardware (graphic card, although many graphic cards are compatible and can be used "at our own risk") because, as they said, it can cause problems, and they left us so much option to change before rendering, and some of them causing problems and aren't compatible with each other If I check some box then I got bad result, and if I not check it, then everything is OK? Don't understand why they left us that option when it's not OK to use it, because it produce bad result?
Not to mention that rendering (AVCHD to H.264 or MPG2 Blu-ray) is significantly faster with i7 than with i5, because, as I can see, GPU Acceleration is not used at all for rendering (maybe just for few effects, that I didn't used yet).
    THX!

  • Encore CS5 Blu-ray Track Problems

I've burned my Encore CS5 project to Blu-ray several times now. It chiefly consists of a Main Menu, a Scenes Menu, and a single timeline containing around 41 tracks (only one soundtrack). When I preview the Blu-ray version within Encore, it works perfectly. Not so with the burned version.
When I play the finished Blu-ray disc in each of my two Blu-ray players (completely different brands) and move from track to track, I can't jump from track 28 to 29. In fact, when Chapter 28 finishes playing, it bumps me back to the Main Menu. The only way I can continue playing the disc is to manually go to the Scenes Menu and start playing from chapter 29 (which, of course, won't let me jump back to chapter 28). It's as if Encore has split my single timeline into two different timelines.
Furthermore, when I start playing from a chapter within the Scenes Menu, then press the Menu button on my remote, it takes me back to the Main Menu even though End Action is set to return to the last menu.
I know I haven't done anything wrong because if I burn this exact same project onto a standard DVD, it works exactly the way it's supposed to!
Is this some sort of Encore bug? Or is it a limitation of the Blu-ray standard (which I thought maxed out at 90-something tracks, not 28).
Can anyone offer some insight here? If it's an Encore problem, any suggestions on how to get around it without having to wait for an Encore patch (I'm fully up-to-date on my versions)?
    Thanks!!

As a follow up, I tried knocking down the number of chapters by 1/3 so there would be a total of 28 chapters instead of 41. As it turns out, the disc is still exiting the timeline and returning to the main menu at exactly the same point (which happens to be one second into a particular chapter of the timeline, just shy of 90 minutes into the timeline). It's as if Encore has split my single timeline into two timelines.
If it's of any help understanding what's happening, the entire timeline is 02;05;23;21 long. When Encore creates the Blu-ray disc, playback of the timeline ends at approximately 01;26;43;10. I then have to go to my Scenes menu and pick up where I left off as it's the only way to see the last ~39 minutes of the sequence.
As I mentioned, if I burn this as a standard definition (4.7GB) disc, it plays normally with no breaks. It's only if I burn it to a 25GB single-layer Blu-ray disc that I see the problem (using multiple Blu-ray players).
Thanks in advance for any light that can be shed on this problem.

  • Blu-ray Encore problem

When i go to burn a blu-ray disc, Encore does all the necessary things as encode, render etc and then states that is is burning the disc but the time it takes to burn the disc is almost instant and as you can guess it has not actually burnt the disc although Encore thinks it has. Does any one have any suggestions on that might be the problem?
I have tried doing an ISO image and burning from there but i still get the same issues. I have tried other progammmes to burn an disc and this works so the Blu-ray burner (LG GGW H20L)is certainly working. I did a reinstall of Encore but still no luck. (I did previously manage to burn Blu-ray discs successfully using this burner si I can't understand what is wrong)

I have had the same problem occasionally, and it usually comes after I've done a change or two of assets, or menus. The only way I could get it to work was to carefully completely rebuild the project.
    Have you rebuilt the project?
I never have used the Encore burning to disk part (I always have burned a SD folder and burned the disk using Nero and more recently ImgBurn, so I've carried that over to BluRay, burning a BluRay folder)
Since I've usually had short projects, I usually burn the BluRay folder to a DVD. I see you already burned an Image which works as well when ImgBurn does it.
Sorry, but rebuild is all I can suggest.

  • HP DV7 Blu-Ray player problems. Please help!!

Hi i have a HP DV7 laptop with a blu-ray drive. I have watched many blu-rays on it in the past but recently they just aren't working.
I put the disc in and nothing happens i can hear it working inside but it doesn't even recognise that their is a disc in. Standard DVD's work fine though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello,
There may be several reasons why this is happening to you. What troublshooting steps have you completed as of yet? Have you changed anything in the OS or installed any big programs since you last used the Blu-ray feature of the drive?
What program do you usually use to play Blu-rays?

Can any one out there help, my new touchsmart that is compatable with Blue Ray DvD's is unable to read or play bule ray DvD's, but has no problems when it comes to CD's or DvD's it plays it perfectly with no hickups, i've tried up dating my BD ROM firmware and software programs for playing blue ray DVD, yet no solutions. its been suggested that i do a power drain, upgrade to Window 7 as window media supports Blue Ray DVD's, and i've  done a full system recovery, and the Only thing i can think of is exchanging the BD Rom drive, but very puzzeled that since i am able to read every other format, i dont think its a hard drive issues.

I checked my start menu/program list, and dont have the "DVD Play & HD DVD" but i do have Hp MediaSmartDVD and done an update already and also tried other license software player programs but to no avail. less i forget, the first time i did try playing a blue ray dvd it worked for only 5mins and since then it no longer works, when i insert the Blue ray DVD, you can hear the system/DICS spining, trying to read the BlueRay DISC & making a clicking or skipping sound, and it then finally stop spinning. I've tried every little or major thing, from software, firmware, drivers to a FULL system Recovery and am now only left with changing the actual DVD/CD HardDriver.
If you could think of any other solution please feel free to post it as it probably benefit the whole forum.

  • Encore CS5.1 Blu-ray Replication Problem - Master Failed BDA Compliance Testing

    I've authored a Blu-ray in Encore 5.1
I purchased and used BluStreak Tracer with Export BDCMF
I sent the BDCMF to Cinram for duplication.
From Cinram I received "Master Failed BDA Compliance Testing"
    The specific error is:
Verifier: Sony BD-ROM Verifier for FS and AV
    Version: Version 2.04 Build 0049
    Compliance: ERRORS DETECTED
    Errors: 1
    Warnings: 0
    INPUT INFORMATION:
      Source: DISC IMAGE
      Type: BD25
Layer 0 Logical Sector count: 9008416
      Path: Z:\01 TO_BE_BD_AACS_PROCESSED\SA_BPVZBG1001.1.A\Lovers Exile BDCMF\UD.DAT
    ERROR INFORMATION:
Code: ES1711: Dolby Digital (AC-3) and Dolby Digital Plus audio streams
Summary: The bsid field is not set to 1000b (8), or 110b (6). (See BD-ROM Part 3-1,
                9.9.4)
How may I fix this problem? How do I get Enocre to set the bsid field to where the specs require it?
Are there any other work arounds to this particular problem as I am in a bit of spot because my client wants to distribute this fine disc we have created and Cinram will not because the Encore authoring does not appear to be conforming to the official specifications?  A fair bit of money is on the line.

Finally made it throug to tech support and they created a case number and they will call me when they have a solution.  I'm not holding my breath.  In the meantime I've got to find a solution.
The audio is encoded in the m2ts file so I’ve got to do the audio and video together.  I’m considering re-encoding via Encore but using H264 instead of mpeg but I’m not sure what audio encoding options are available as of yet if I go that route.
I’m first trying to establish the tools (mediainfo run in cli) to be able to evaluate what BSID is spit out.
Another option I’m exploring is to re-render the m2ts files output by Encore (located in the stream dir) in Sony Vegas and see if they conform to BDA spec.  I’d then have to replace the files in the Stream dir and wash it through BluStreak tracer but I’m not confident it will compile the CMF properly doing it that way.
A third option is to encode all the video via vegas, replace the footage in encore with the pre-encoded stuff (telling encore not to transcode it).  I'm not sure if I can do this in Encore though.
Again, first step is to get the tools to “see” the problem.
    Any advice is appreciated!

Hey I know this has been battled a lot but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me.
I have an external blu ray player that sis recognized by my Mac, I can see the Blu Ray drive and the Blu Ray disc information but I cannot play the video itself. One third party software that kind of works is the macgo Mac Bluray Player but it only plays the video itself it doesn't let you access the menus or anything. • LG BE06LU10 Blue Ray burning problems

    Hi everybody,
I don't know whether I can post my question here at the FCP directory, but I try in any case.
Problem: I can't burn Blue-Discs any more with my LG BlueRay burner BE06LU10.
In the last one and a half years, I burned 3 HD Blue Ray Discs with this burner successfully.
    What happens:
    • In FCP I exported the edited video in HDV 1080i50 format (1440 x 1080, 25 fps)
    • Export was successfully and I can dissplay the video in the Finder or when I double click the video is is being properly displayed on the computer screen. So I may conclude that the video is good!
    • I use Toast-10 Titanium Pro, with BD plug-in option for burning.
    • After start up of Toast, I placed the video in the main section of the screen and the Big Red Button on the lower right comes on and the first image of the video is shown as well. So far so good.
    • When there is NO disc in the LG burner, Toast shows a selection of the two burners, eg either the Pioneer DVD burner of the Mac and the LG DB burner.
    • After selecting the LG BD burner and pressing the Toast button, I get prompted with a screen indicating how many copies I like to have and the writing speed.
    • By placing a blank BD disk in the LG burner, I click record.
    Now here comes my problem:
    • The tray is closing but a screen appears which may also shows a comment like "Please insert a blank disc" and "Waiting for writer" in case I did not inserted a disk in the first place.
    • The burner keeps on spinning and makes a clicking sound about every four seconds. So it seems that either the burner is not being recognised by the computer or there is some sort of communication problem between the Computer, Toast program and or LG burner.
Can anyone please advise what to do?
    Thank you,
    Regards Hans

There was a firmware update for the LG burners towards the end of last year. I believe it was to do with compatibility between burners and the latest media.
    Might be worth trying that:
    http://www.lg.com/uk/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCo de=BE06LU10&initialTab=drivers&targetPage=support-product-profile
(Click on "Drivers and Software" ---> Version "YE05".)
You can see your current Firmware Version under System Profiler, but....
...there is a gotcha: the updater is Windows only - you'll have to beg/borrow/steal a PC to connect the drive to temporarily, to do the upgrade. At least it's a USB-connected external - and is easily moved between computers.

  • GX660R-Blu Ray Player Problem

I wonder if someone can help......but please bear in mind that I have the technical capacity of a glass of water.
I recently bought an MSI GX660XR with the following configuration:
    CPU: Intel Core i5-460M
    Graphics - ATI Radeon HD5870 / 1GB DDR5
    RAM - DDR111 6GB
As far as I can make out all drivers are up to date.
I was under the impression that this was a blu ray enabled player but, despite having PowerDVD 10 installed, it does not recognise any blu ray discs.  Nothing happens at all.
In checking the hardware descriptionfor the "DVD/CDROM Drives" in the Device Manager it reads: HL-DT-ST-DVDRAM GT40N.
Is this a Blu Ray player does anyone know?????  If so, any ideas what is going on?

yep....in re-checking the Overclockers website I now find that I have in fact bought the 'B' grade model.........
it's what you get for reading the advert but not double checking the product description properly.
for anyone reading this please be careful not to make the same mistake
