PE12 APPCRASH dvamarshal.dll

This is an informational post, as others have had this problem with no solutions given.  I just had a long chat with Adobe support and wanted those who might have the same problem to hear what they have to say.
I have a new install of Windows 7 64bit on an i7 with 8GB RAM and on-board Intel video (driver from 1/2014).  Two weeks ago I downloaded and installed Adobe Premiere Elements 12 (I had used 1, 2, and 3 before, and finally 12 will import my MJPEG files!).  It worked fine for two weeks, then last night is crashed with this error:
Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    APPCRASH

I had not made any changes to my computer between it working and not working, other than Windows Updates, and Restore did not help.  So I checked the forum first of course, then I uninstalled, reinstalled, performed System Restore to various dates when it was working, removed all references to Premiere Elements from the registry (it leaves a lot behind) and reinstalled. I tried running the app directly from the exe. Nothing helped. Organizer runs fine, just not Editing.
Chat support (which BTW I discovered is not accessible if you use the MVP Hosts file) told me that there is a possibility that uninstalling and then reinstalling in Safe Mode (you need to run the Windows Installer service manually) might work.  But their real answer was to FORMAT and RELOAD Windows (and obviously every other piece of software you have and all your data!!!).
Haven't been back home to do this yet, but wanted to get this out to the community in case someone has this happen.  I will be back and let you all know if Safe Mode install worked.
I'm wondering if I should create a separate boot partition just for PE12 and Windows with no changes being made to it ever. Maybe that will keep any dll's from becoming corrupt.

Thanks for the reply. I understand your concerns.
Have you tried the classical steps, as just in case measures, in spite of the  Problem Signature data?
First...does the problem exist with or without the antivirus disabled?
1. Deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole 12.0 Folder in which it exists
Local Disk C
Users
Owner
AppData
Roaming
Adobe
Premiere Elements
12.0
and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then you delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
2. If necessary...
a. If you can get into the program at any time, Help Menu/Sign Out (otherwise, skip this step)
b. Uninstall (Control Panel/Programs route)
c. free ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) to get rid of leftovers from incomplete installs and reinstalls.
CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
d. reinstall the program with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
By the way, in order to work with MotionJPEG in Premiere Elements 12, did you have to download and install any codec packs that might be
contributing to the issue?
Sometimes unlikely suggestions hit the issue head on; sometimes not. Let us see.
Thanks.

Hi, I have successfully downloaded and used a few CS6 programs in my new Creative Cloud membership, i.e. Photoshop, Flash, Bridge.
However, I've downloaded and installed and updated, twice, Adobe Premiere CS6. I did uninstall it in between installs.

Any suggestions on how to correct this? I don't want to go to a full computer reformat if there is a simpler solution since I just did one recently. Is there anything I can update or download as a patch, perhaps to fix this?
Thanks for any advice! I appreciate your time and looking into this.

Adobe Community: PPro CS6 Hanging on Startup - Crashes or stops working.
    Hi Jeff,
I actually did this yesterday, since I came across the same post. It didn't help. But thanks for suggesting it.
I've taken Premiere Pro CS6 off my computer and will try to reload it today. I am also having issues with the computer itself. If I go away from it and come back in say 10 minutes, everything is frozen. I need to contact HP about this and who knows, maybe Premiere will actually open if I get this other freezing problem taken care of.
I read to fix the HP freeze problem, to shut off the CoolSense feature, and I did, but it's still locking up. I have turned off any sleep, hibernate or other feature like that so it shouldn't be going into any kind of power saver mode. I adjusted my power settings.
I'm still under warranty, so will contact HP. Then I'll get back on the Premiere issue. When it rains it pours, eh? :>)

  • Adobe premiere elements organizer appcrash msvcr90.dll windows 7

adobe premiere elements 11 organizer appcrash msvcr90.dll.  Hoe dit oplossen ?

Elements Organizer 11 on Windows 7 (assumed 64 bit).
When did you post this question before today. If all you posted today is all you sent in this thread, then be advised that this is not Adobe. Rather user to user. The replies are not automatic and depend
on a reply from a user based on the use's personal schedule.
I am not sure if the following will target the "msvvcr90.dll" but consider the following for the "crash" aspects
    1. Delete the Elements Organizer 11 settings file named psa.prf found
    Local Disk C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    Elements Organizer
    13.0
    Organizer
and in the Organizer Folder is the psa.prf file that you delete or disable by renaming it from psa.prf to psa.prfOLD.
    2. If the Elements Organizer 11 will stay open long enough, create a new catalog.
See Elements Organizer 11 File Menu/Manage Catalog/Catalog Manager.
    3. Some times certain formats can bring the Elements Organizer down. What kind of files have you been
importing into the Elements Organizer and are the crashes associated with certain source files?

I think, .NET framework may be the cause of the crash, but anyone had the same problem?

There are many factors causing ntdll.dll crash in WIndows.
Hardware failure could be one of them.  Please check your harddrive for file allocation errors and/or bad sectors and memory errors.
To check for hard disk errors (This may take hours)
Open Computer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Computer.
Right-click the drive that you want to check, and then click Properties.
Click the Tools tab, and then, under Error-checking, click Check now. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select Automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will report problems but not fix them.
To perform a thorough check, select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. This scan attempts to find and repair physical errors on the drive itself, and it can take much longer to complete.
To check for both file errors and physical errors, select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
Click Start.  The Check will start automatically when you restart Windows.
    To check for memory problems
Open Memory Diagnostics Tool by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type Memory, and then click Diagnose your computer's memory problems. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Choose when to run the tool. If you choose to restart your computer and run the tool immediately, make sure that you save your work and close all of your running programs. The Memory Diagnostics Tool will run automatically when you restart Windows.

  • APPCRASH javascripcore.dll ITunes is dead

ITunes is dead. It now only runs about 10 seconds and gives me APPCRASH fault module name JavaScriptCore.dll. I have uninstalled itunes, deleted all itunes folders, and i still have this error. Really could use some help.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the "(64-bit - for older video cards)" release as a workaround for performance issues.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

My situation was that customer could not
send emails without Outlook immediately crashing.  Event log reported this same error pointing to OUTLOOK.EXE & wwlib.dll.
It is probably related to the signature file.  Outlook might only be attaching the sig to new emails and not replies or forwards.
Try creating a new one or just recreate the existing signature.
We ran outlook in safe mode.
scanned the .pst with scanPST tool.
turned off ALL of the add-ins, and removed a couple of them completely.
backed out the recent MS updates.
Uninstalled some unsupported apps that had been installed.
    created new profile in Outlook.
Followed advise from Technet,  MSDN, and SpiceWorks forums.
cleared out temp files in App Data under his user profile directory.
Ran CCleaner and cleared out more temps.
    upgraded to Office 2013
ULTIMATE FIX was recreate the sig.
    Sho Nuff!

  • APPCRASH - KERNELBASE.dll

Hi, just wondering how to solve this problem in DI API library. I've created a windows services that imports data from XML to SAP. Everytime the transactions complete. The services crash and its really frustrating. I've created the windows services using Visual Studio 2012 (VB.NET) 4.5 framework. This is not microsoft problem I think. Just wondering also, where did they create the SAPBobCOM.DLL? Is it .NET?

    Hi Eric,
The memory leak is not the problem. Because this services read a folder which contain the XML file. So if there's no XML file. The function will return, it will not go to the DIAPI code. This is what I'm trying to say :
            Try
                If Directory.GetFiles(oPath, "" & fName & "*.xml", SearchOption.TopDirectoryOnly).Count = 0 Then
                    'oWriteText(oForm.lsViewLog, Now & " - " & "No file(s) found... on " & oPath, Color.Red)
                    Return
                End If
            Catch ex As Exception
                Return
            End Try
              If Not oConnectDI() Then Return
Here's the exact error from event viewer :
