PE4 clip scale ignored when "shared"

I've searched for this topic but can't find anything that helps, and Google is no help either. I've got PE4, and I've got a 4 minute clip that I've scaled up to 130% by right-clicking on the clip, choosing Clip Properties and using the Motion function's Scale slide bar. Everything looks perfect in the preview pane. If I use File>Export to avi, the final product is perfect. However, if I use the SHARE menu to create the wmv file I actually want, the final product ignores the fact that the clip is scaled up... it reverts to its original scale.
I've right-clicked the clip and unchecked the "Scale to Frame" option. I've gone into the preferences and unchecked the "Default Scale To Frame Size" option. I can't find any other settings that might cause the scale to be ignored or superceded when using the SHARE menu.
I have figured out the long way to work around this... first File>Export as an avi (since wmv isn't an export option) and then load that avi as a new project and use the SHARE menu to convert it to the wmv file that I want. But I am frustrated that I have to go through these extra steps (and long long rendering time) when I should be able to use the SHARE menu to create a wmv file and get exactly what I see in the preview pane.
Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by the exact values for the various parameters. Which parameters? It's a widescreen miniDV clip imported directly from the camera via PE4. There's some junk at the bottom of the shot that I wish was not in the shot, and the main subject is a bit small anyway, so I am able to use the Clip Properties and the slide the scale up to 130%... then the junk is no longer in the shot and the main subject fills the preview pane just fine. I can watch it in the preview pane, in Full Screen, I can export that as an avi, an mpg, a mov, or even burn a DVD and it looks just fine (i.e. the shot is still scaled to 130% and the junk is no longer in the shot) BUT if I create a wmv file through the SHARE tab, the resulting file has ignored the 130% scale and returned to the original scale (so the junk is back in the shot and the subject is small again).
As mentioned, I can export an avi file and it's fine, so of course I can then import that avi file as a new project and create a new wmv, which is also fine, or use any external converter to create the wmv file. But the question is WHY this would happen... why would using the SHARE tab to create a wmv end up ignoring the scale when every other method of rendering the video seems to work fine?
As far as the parameters of the wmv file, I don't have the program in front of me, but I'm using the presets. I've tried it using the various wmv presets (each one rendering a different pixel dimension) and all the wmv files ignore the fact that I've scaled the clip and instead they all produce a file that looks like the original clip (with the junk in the shot).
If it's something I can fix so I don't have to use my little work-around, I'd like to fix it. It'd save me a lot of time and effort and disk space.

I fixed the problem.. but it was very, very strange. I had a very long section for credits and set the line spacing to 1.0.. for some reason this caused it. I removed it, and it worked fine. I put it back, and I couldn't preview or play the video.
I don't know why that could cause that big of a problem, but it did..

After phone support from apple I ended up creating a new project and adding all 117 clips back in individually till I found out what clips flagged and would not allow me to export. I had 3 I deleted and replaced and everything works now 1hr after tedious work....
Where do Your material come from
• Camera
• External hard disk
• USB-memory
And all are connected so that iMovie can find it ?

Bad Quality When Sharing with iWEB

Sorry if this is posted somewhere on here. I could not find it.
I am having a problem with real choppy video when sharing with iWEB. My videos when viewed on my website are very blurry to the point that you can not see faces. Any help would be most welcome.

I am importing from miniDV. I believe it is HD, not sure if that matters or not. I recorded a clip off of the cam into iMovie. I added a soundtrack and a few sound effects. I saved my project and then shared it with iWEB. It is now on my website but just real blurry and the sound effect don't hit at the right times. It is perfect when view in iMovie (great picture quality). I also shared the same movie with iTunes and noticed, while better then iWeb, it is still not as good as when viewing in iMovie. Thanks for any help

Most probably it's the Start-Up/Boot/Mac OS hard disk that has less than 5Gb free space.
To let iDVD run OK - This Start-up hard disk should have 25Gb or more due to that
Your Mac is running a sort of UNIX (Mac OS) and this makes Mac OS and iDVD to use
lot's of temp files - AND they can not be addressed to any other hard disk at all.
More RAM - will not help
External/Second hard disk will if You first formatte it as Mac OS Extended and
move material over to this (or use it as Start-up hard disk)
External Start-up hard disk must be FireWire - NO USB2 will do this.
Must be Mac OS Extended formatted
Western Digital - My Book Serie - Can't do this.
My Lacie - works gladly as secondary start-up hard disk.

Well, taking the example you mentioned, if you decrease or increase the size of the image, it doesn't have to affect the original quality of your media. Of course, if you increase the image size, the quality will be "poor" in the sense that you are zooming to the details of your image. Depending on the compression you are working on, the more compression have (DV as lowest), the more decreasing on the sharpness will happen in the increasing of the picture.
Increasing doesn't gets better than decreasing.
Sometimes I work with photos in FCP, and to prevent this loss, I save the photo in 1440x960 to keep the most definition that a picture can give me, when the zooming in time would arrive, that Image Size covers me up on keeping a good quality in my Final result, is simply the double of the standard.
Obviusly, decreasing does not affect so much in quality.

IMovie project stuttering when shared to iDVD

I have a 38 minute iMovie 09 video that I exported to iDVD. It stutters about a minute in to the movie. I have done the following:
1. exported a shorter version (1:48) into iDVD. The same thing happened.
2. exported this shorter version into quick time. Worked just fine. Don't know how to make a DVD that I can watch on a player from this though.
3. tried to export this shorter version to youtube. It said that "youtube reported an error"
3. backed up my Macbook and used migration assistant to put all of my data on my husband's iMac. I ended up with clips missing or replaced by others when shared to iDVD.
I tried to get it in a format that I could show all of you but because it was multiple files, I couldn't use dropio or dropbox.
Any suggestions? I know the movie is large, but the shortened movie displayed the same behavior.

IMovie 10.0.1 crashing when sharing

Trying to share short 1080p clips (about 1 minute) to youtube using iMovie 10.0.1. The program crashes a few seconds after initiating sharing. Tried a number of times with different clips. Also erased all files in my imovie library, restarted the program, but still crashes when trying to share (also when sharing to a file). MBP retina mid 2012 10.9. Any ideas?

Hello, I have also many problems with IMOVIE 10.0.0.1. At first it crashed for the generation of the film, I had to uninstall IMOVIE, MAVERICKS reinstall the recovery procedure and reinstall IMOVIE. Then it worked. This was the version 10.0.0. With the 10.0.0.1 version, I crashes during editing, I pasé there a few hours, it bothers me a lot. I have a Macbook Pro intel core duo ... The machine seems to lack power, but I feel that this version is very buggy IMOVIE .. Regards.

ARD 3.3 slow when sharing screen with 30 computers

I have a lab of 30 Mac Pros running 10.5.8. When I connect wirelessly at 300mbps (n), it takes almost 30 seconds for the refresh to begin and it seems to be updating about 0.5 fps. It seems that RD does not "broadcast" the image, rather it sends each workstation the screen refresh.
Is this the expected behavior? Are there other, faster solutions for Mac Labs out there that take over the workstation and display the instructors workstation screen?
I have tried the wired connection, it seems to run about 2x faster, but this solution is not feasible for my setup.
Any help is much appreciated...

They both use VNC, so keep Remote Management on and ignore Screen Sharing and leave it off. It will still function with RM turned on.

Notification when shared item deleted

Hello,
When someone deletes an item shared with me, or just removes the sharing to me, in Filr 1.0.1.65 I do not get any notifications. Perhaps I am not setting up notifications correctly, but I cannot find anything in the documentation about notifications for changes in the sharing of a file. I do get notification when someone shares a file with me so I would expect notification when sharing is retracted in any way. Is this working as designed, or could it be a bug or configuration problem?

When sharing my 60 minutes iMovie project with iDVD inmediately message 'The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred (Error in user parameter list)' appears. Could not find the user parameter list, so I've no more info about this error.
Option File - Finalize Project gives inmediately the same errormessage.
Also option Share - Media Browser - Large/Medium/Mobile give the same errormessage.
Please advise, thank you!

Yes, of course. iTunes was around before there was an iTunes Store. And I think Apple cares MORE that you purchased an iPod, and LESS about where you get your music to play on the iPod.
You can buy music the "old school" way, on CD, and "rip" them into your iTunes library using iTunes.
You can download/buy music from other sources, as longs as the format is MP3 or AAC, and don't use copy protection (DRM). NOTE: iTunes Store music downloads do not use any DRM.

They offer a utility called Amazon MP3 Downloader, which automatically places your downloads into your iTunes library.
If the source just provides you with the downloaded song files, all you need to do is open a window showing the files or the folder containing the files. Run iTunes and select Music in the sidebar, under LIBRARY. Then drag the songs files or the folder containing the files from its window to the iTunes window, and drop them there. iTunes will add the songs to your iTunes library.
Once the songs are in your iTunes library, you can automatically sync or manually load them onto your shuffle.

I'm confused. What do YOU get when you push the feed button? And why is it working on yours and not either of my machines?
Today, my Mac (w/Safari 4) gets the same error message: Safari can’t open the page Safari can’t open the page “feed:http://vibrationalvoyages/vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_andApplications/rss.xml”. The error is: “The feed could not be loaded because the content is not in a known feed format.”
My little ASUS (with a Linux operating system) gets a screen that says "The requested URL was not found". The URL on that page is http://vibrationalvoyages./vibrationalvoyages.com/DivineLight_Vibrations_Principles_andApplications/rss.xml
On both error messages, the URL I was checking was:

So, my question still is:

Outlook 2007 denied calendar access when shared by other outlook 2007 users....

i have exchange 2010 with latest sp. we use outlook 2013/2010/2007 on windows os's vista through 8.1. Calendar sharing via setting explicit permissions in outlook 2010/2013 works fine. in outlook, select calendars, right click calendar, set explicit permissions
for user you want to share calendar with to Free/busy/subject/location. works ok for 2010 and 2013. However Outlook 2007 client does same and the other outlook 2007 intended recipient gets "you dont have permission to access xxxx calendar. DO you want
to send a request?" WHen you send a request you are automatically granted "Reviewer" permission to the mailbox. Our staff dont want to give that much detail. Is this a bug or config error? I expected to set the permissions on a users calendar
to a mailgroup and share it using the free/busy/subject/location permission set. SO i was surprised to see this didn't work and generated the permission error + request permission email. any ideas would be appreciated.
The main reason to share this way is to avoid giving reviewer permission to everyone you share with.
Also please note that an Outlook 2013 user who uses the method above to set permissions for groups will have other outlook 2013 users view his calendar based on the permissions set. Outlook 2007 clients still get permission denied...do you want to request
permission...
After more testing I found that upgrading to outlook 2010 seems to work. I would prefer to avoid the cost of the upgrade if possible however it seems that Outlook 2010 works correctly and Outlook 2007 does not.

My understanding is that no matter the calendar owner shares the calendar via Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2007, the Outlook 2007 recipient can't open the calendar and receive the message to send a request, am I correct? If yes, please let me explain.
In short, it is by design in Outlook 2007. In Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007(and later), the "Free/Busy time" and "Free/Busy time, subject, location" permissions only apply when checking the user's free/busy information (for example,
when looking in the Scheduling tab of a meeting request) and not when looking in another user's Calendar folder.
To workaround this issue, when sharing the calendar in Outlook, please add "Folder visible". Thus the Outlook 2007 recipients should be able to open the shared calendar.
