PE4 - Data restore - lost links for a project

Let me start by stating that I am a newbie at Premiere and video editing in general. I recently had a hard disk failure, but lucky for me I did have a backup. When I restored my data, much of the file structure was lost, even though I have the files. I was in the midst of working on a large PE3 project and had all of my clips edited, sorted etc and was about to laydown the music tracks. Then the hard drive failure.
Now I can fid all of the raw footage, I can even find the Adobe project files. When I open the project files, it cannot link to the clips.
I am simply in over my head trying to restore this so that I do not have to start over.
Any assistance is appreciated. I would even be willing to engage someone on a consultation basis.

What I would do would be to create a folder structure [Filemane=Project name] for your Project with your .PREL (Project file) in the root of that structure. Sub-folders would be Video, Audio, Stills, etc.. Place your AV files into the Video sub-folder. Do all of the "gathering" first.
Then, when you launch PE, choose Open and navigate to the new folder structure, choosing your .PREL. When PE opens that Project, it will see that your media files are missing, and will provide a dialog to locate them. Navigate to your Video sub-folder, and locate the first file that PE is looking for. Once found, it *should* locate all of the others. If your original folder structure had Assets spread all over, PE will be asking again, but with all Video in one spot, you know where to send it. Keep this up, until everything has been found, and re-linked in PE. Once done, do a Save_As of your Project, and choose a new name, but keep it located in the root of your Project folder structure, say [Project Name]_01.prel.
Note: if you have opened your Project, and chose Make Off-line, for the Assets, and have then done a Save, you will have to re-link each Asset from the Project Panel by hand. This consumes a great deal of time, and effort, and the "semi-automatic" finding of files will not take place.

I have read a lot of messages on the forum about a similar situation, but not exactly the same as mine.
I have 4 partitions on my computer. One I was using for my music. This has become full. I decided to move only some of the files to another partition. So I have the library split over two partitions. Now the iTunes cannot find the new location. I don't want to put the whole library in one area, but it's a pain now you relink over a 100 mp3. Is there a way to universally search as a multiselect option.

Seems the easy way to do what you wanted was to tell iTunes to NOT COPY files of songs you add to the library. Then, remove the items from the library but DO OT let iTunes delete any of the actual files.
Now place the files you want to move where you want them to live. Drag and drop that location into your iTunes library.
This will result in having some of your song files in one place and others elsewhere and all of them in your library.

BEx Broadbasting: Online links for object type WB not defined

I got this over in the Portal Content Development forum but figured it would get more views here:
I'm trying to broadcast an online link to the portal for a workbook. I can publish it as a MS Excel file but I get the following whenever I try to Broadcast to portal as a "online link to current data".
"Online links for the specified object type WB are not defined"
I've been beating my head against it for several hours and know the help.sap.com links to broadcasting by heart. Anyone have any clues as to what I missed?

Check the transaction RSPOR_CUST01. I guess you are using BEx 7 in which case integration with the portal is a must. Check whether the settings have been maintained in the above said transaction.Let us know.

End user error. they were not converting their queries from 3.5 to 7.0 before publishing.

yes it was the same device with the same PIN and BB ID.. i have manage to extract the backup file and the manifest.xml contains the software version it was backup to and i can see the blackberry id is the same one i have used..

i get also 3 files app.tar, media.tar, setting.tar this is all 3 data backups from link extract, could we modify it to make another restore files or somehow decrypt the tar backups?

No, You can not use sql as a data source for a project.
You have 3 options to achieve it:
1. You can create a Sharepoint list with desired column ,fill desired data in that list then you can create a MS project from Sharepoint List.
2. You can create a SSRS report in which you can display grantt chart Joe has given you that link.
3. You can write a macro in MPP which will take data from your excel. In excel you will fetch data from your stored procedure. write a schedule which will run every day to update your data or
create an excel report in which will update automatically and write macro in mpp which will fetch the data then publish it so that it would be available to team members.

How do I create an installer for my project that allows for variable data entry like a server unc path?

I have a questions and a few hours of scouring the internet hasn't brought me much closer to an answer.
Here's what I want to do. I have created a visual c# wpf application. I want to have an installer that during install time will have a text box or something where I can enter a server path as a string. Basically my application needs to know where to look
for a server unc path \\server\somesharedfolder that it will be accessing primarily for its work. Secondly, how do I reference said information from within my code.
I have come across application/user scoped settings, which appears to be what I'm looking for. However I can't find a way to have the installer prompt for a value "Server Path:" __________ that I could type into during installation. So far it appears
the only way would be to edit the config.deploy file before running the installer, which isn't a big deal but you'd think there'd be an easy way to take in variables during install.
EDIT: Apparently I can't edit the config.deploy file as I get an error message about the hash not matching.

The forums I found confusing, didn't know the best place to put this question so I put it here.
I have found the answer over at stackoverflow and will detail here for anyone who may stumble across the same problem.
The problem is ClickOnce seemingly doesn't support this feature. Installshield LE either doesn't or does but its incredibly too complicated if all you need is one variable passed to the registry during installation. And it seems the words used for googling
this particular problem will never lead you to the solution.
So here's how to do it (we will be first adding the Visual Studio Installer Add-on to restore original installer project functionality):
1) Inside of visual studio 2013 go to Tools -> Extensions and Updates
2) On the left-hand side click on Online -> Visual Studio Gallery
3) In the upper-right search box search for "Visual Studio Installer"
4) Download the extension labeled "Microsoft Visual Studio Installer Projects"
5) Install, then open a new project under Templates -> Other Project Templates -> Visual Studio Installer -> Setup Project
6) Now for the gold. In the solution explorer there are icons in a bar just below its title bar, highlight till you see "User Interface Setup" and open it.
7) Now you can right click on Start, Progress, End etc any Category heading and hit Add Dialog.
8) From here for my purposes, I used TextBoxes A
9) Once you add it, click on it and observe its properties window. You will see Label, Property, and Value. Make a note of the property name as it will be used to store the data directly into the registry. *Note: there appears to be no way to perform data
validation using the built in textbox dialogs, users can enter whatever they want and move on.
10) Go to the registry editor on the same icon bar under solution explorer.
11) Specify your registry folder, make a new value (I used string) and name it whatever you like. In the value section enter the property label formatted as such [EDITA1] depending on your value.
12) Now when you run the installer for your project, it will take data into that field and place it into the registry provided it has access to that key with the permissions you run the program under.

Yes, it is the same with me. I know a friend how upgraded to iso7 and lost all of his game center data. He tried singning in and re singning in but no change. Plus on to of all of this, apple is like have me and him to re-validate our itunes acount. Somthing weried is going on. So verified my itunes acount and it shows under settings that I am signed in, but when I go to the app store on my iPhone and try downloading or even updating a app, it says "can not conect to itunes store" after singing in! AND I'M NOT SURE I AM GOING TO UPGRADE TO ISO7 YET UNTILL THEY FIX THIS BUG!!!! HELP!

Issue in confirmation links for personal data ESS application (CA)

We have implemented EXIT button configuration for ESS applications and the Exit button along with 'Go to Home page' link is navigating to custom created page in portal.
The configuration done earlier for ESS applications like Address Update, Family Member/Dependents works fine.
We got a new service added (Personal data) & tried configuring the Exit button for this application also.
Some how the exit button doesnt seem working for Canada besides it working for US.
Please help in figuring out if there is any cause of the Exit button not working for personal data application for molga 07 specially. Adding to it, the links for confirmation screen are also not working for the same application

1. The select statement in the sql for the report should not include the BLOB column. I decided to select only 2 columns, the column that has the key and the column with the filename.
2. On the first column ( the primary key ) I put in the format statement that was simply DOWNLOAD:TABLENAME:BLOB_COLUMN:PRIMARY_KEY
This works. I believe that the Oracle error I was getting was because I was trying to apply this format statement to the actual BLOB column.
So, it appears that you can use any of the columns in the report to hold the DOWNLOAD format statement since in the format statement, you are defining the BLOB table, BLOB column and the primary key into that column.

Problem providing download link for BLOB data in apex report

I am trying to create a report on a table with BLOB data so that the report displays a "download" link for the BLOB data. I am trying to give users the ability to download files from a website.
I have been following the instructions in OBE "Defining and Viewing BLOB Data in Oracle Application Express 3.1".
In the report, for the BLOB column, I have specified values for the following fields in Report Attributes->Column Formatting->Number/Date Format->BLOB Download Format Mask:
BLOB Table
BLOB Column
Primary Key Column 1
MIME Type Column
Filename Column
BLOB Last Updated Column
However, when I run the report, I get the following error, even thought there is data loaded into the table:
report error:
ORA-01403: no data found
When I remove the BLOB Download Format Mask information for the BLOB column, then the data displays in the report, but without the "download" link for the BLOB data (which is expected):

Lost username for WRT54GS, resetting router doesn't seem to restore defaults

I lost username for WRT54GS so I tried resetting as per instructions, holding down reset key for 30 seconds, but can't log in using 'admin' and blank password, which I understand is factory default, and which should have been restored on reset--right? I have reset the router at least 3 times, always making sure I push reset key in for 30 seconds. That's the simplest to explain of two related problems.
On a second computer on same network, I have no Internet access at all, and if I try to get to the router it says it can't find 192.168.1.1. Since I can access the Internet on computer #1, and also have a voice over IP device hooked up to router that is also working, I assume this problem is on computer #2 and not the router EXCEPT--how does this relate to the problem stated for computer #1?
Before this particular way of acting, computer #2 was announcing that there was an IP address conflict. It doesn't say that now, it just can't connect to anything. What's odd is that if I display network connections on computer #2, the Linksys connection shows and displays strong signal exactly as it does on computer #1, so obviously computer #2 can 'see' the router, but clicking 'Connect' on the wireless network connections window doesn't work, it simply won't connect. I tried setting up network again but that didn't clear the problem.
I have a great suspicion this has to do, at least in part, with IP addresses but don't know where to go from here.
I appreciate detailed step by step instructions because I am a novice at this. Brave but ignernt.
