PE8 and now Premiere Pro CS-5 - have I gone mad? ;-)

Hey gang!
Just to let you know, that I now have a new souped up PC with Premiere Pro CS-5 and also PE-8 installed on it! I finally bought the Adobe Creative Suite Pro Premium to go along with my new PC. It was time to bite the bullet with some extra funds at my disposal lately. I haven't abandoned PE-8 and I will still do my next ukulele VID in it. I'm too overwhelmed right now by Premiere CS-5. It could take months to figure it out! Is it that different?

I'm also a long-time Photoshop CS2 user as well. It's nice to have the Creative Suite Pro Premium. I installed it all. I only wish it had Acrobat because my Acrobat 8.0 cannot install on Windows 7 and there are no workarounds. It wants a Vista DLL. One has to buy at least Acrobat 9 and I did that since it was cheaper than the forthcoming Acrobat X.
Those books should give me a good solid grounding. I also can't complain with my new PC: Intel i7 (8 CPUs), 12 GIGs, 3 terrabyte HDs, Fatality soundcard, etc...
I originally had the Win 7 Pro OS on a 60 GIG solid state drive, but that proved to be problematic and I took my PC back to the shop and had them replace it with a standard TB normal drive. Why? When one has a lot of programs to install, one always has to be on guard not to install on the small solid state drive. Even when I accidentally installed programs on it and deleted them, it wouldn't give up its space. I was soon left with only 10 GIGs... Also, I like to use the DESKTOP as a temporary space for files at times.... that was on the C: drive profile. I heard one could switch the whole profile to another drive but no one could tell me how to do it and new profiles would go on the C: Anyway, it was nice having the OS boot so quick, but installing programs became tiresome.

HT3224 I am new to Mac and started transferring data from my PC to my new Macbook Pro. Connection was lost once I started and now my Pro is stuck on the 'Transferring Information' screen. How do I get out of this screen to attempt the connection again?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If your Mac and PC are connected by Ethernet, unplug and plug that cable again. If not, you have to turn off the MacBook by holding the Power button.
In the next startup, try to transfer your files again. It's important not to interrupt the transfer process, because in most cases, you will stop it and you won't be able to resume it

I have tried all of the sounds in Prem cs6 but didn't work. My question is, do I need to get a separate sound software download and install to be able to use it?

In the CS versions, there was some audio capability in PrPro but you needed to get a separate audio program for major work. Lessening a baby definitely qualifies as major work. That's lessening, i dont mean eliminating. Adobe's audio program is Audition. There are others "out there'. In the CC versions one just downloads Audution also.

Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool. The CC Cleaner Tool is designed to be used after running the uninstallers. Without running the uninstallers first then a complete removal may not be possible.

Does your Cloud subscription properly show on your account page?
If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?

Directx 11 and now Premiere CS5 will not work.

I finally got my ATI 5770 working with Directx 11 and now Premiere CS5 will not work

I just installed what I thought was Directx 11. The latest file update I downloaded is only 9. dxwebsetup.exe from Microsofts web.
I have a Dell XPS 8100. I was on the phone with AMD/ATI, DELL, and XFX. Dell said the card was an ATI, and AMD/ATI said that ATI now just makes the chips. I tried Sapphire ATI 5770 and they didn't work, then I tried a program the took off all the drivers and I got the Dell drivers from the web, thinking that they are on OEM and with the DP Adapter, I finally got the 3rd ATI Eyefinity monitor to work. I tried Cuty of Duty and it worked for a couple of minutes. I'm not into games, but I like the three monitors for learning software. One monitor is the video training and one is the software and the other is the Internet or an ebook.
Now Premiere doesn't like anything. I tried going back to one monitor, and different resolutions. I had two monitors working at one time on this computer. I like the Time line monitor window on it's own monitor and the rest of Premiere on the left monitor.
I was reading that Premiere likes 1280 x 900. That is not a mode on the ATI 1280 x 960 or 1280 x 1024.
Could it be the latest Directx it installed or the fact the Display Port is in the card?

That is becuase Pages 5.1 has numerous unnounced surprises for the unwary user. Among the surprises:
- it strips out images from headers and footers without warning
- it strips out bookmarks without wanring (yes, all those bookamrks you laboriously put into a document: poof! Gone.)
- it strips out alternating left/right margins, without warning.
There are many more suprises, as you'll see from glancing through these discussions. They fall into two main categories: things that are present in version 4.3 but that are missing in 5.1, things like
-mail merge
-meaningful Applescript/Services support
-non-contiguous text selection
-ability to set defaul zoom
-ability to see comments while editing
-ability to print comments
-ability to read RTF files
-ability to drag in hyperlinked ted from a browser
These about about 90 other features are gone.
Then there are the bugs. Hyperlinks do not reliably export to a PDF file any longer. There have been multiple problems with printing report. Some fonts place stray characters in the headers. Many reports of the program crashing, courrupting files, etc.
Fortunately for you, the previous version of Pages is still on your system. Export any documents you may have created or edited with Pages 5.1 (another great surprise: files created with version 5.1 cannot be read by any previous version of Pages: not just 4.3 but even 5.01!). Then trash 5.1 and use 4.3 until (unless?) it is stable and has a reasonably robust feature set.

Go to Apple Menu > App Store > View my account > sign in and then edit the payment details with the new card details.
I am assuming that your card and supporting bank are in the same country as your residential (billing) address and that you are using the App Store of that country.

They most likely got pushed to another page. Try swiping all the way from righ to left.
Also folders have mutiple pages now (used to hold 16 now only 9 per page) too. If the app was in a folder, go to that folder and try swiping to a different page inside the folder.
If not check your restrictions:
Settings > General > Restrictions
Can you find it by searching (swipe down from the middle of the screen)?
If so does it say something on the right sid of the app in the search box, if so that is the folder it is in.

If iTunes is telling you that you need to restore your phone again, I would restore the phone again.

Without access, you're gonna have to wait until you reach the 5 authorized computer limit, then you can de-authorize all.
