I am loyal customer of Blackberry, I have been using Blackberry since 2008.I have been facing issues with regards to call log history ever since I have upgraded to Blackberry Classic.Smartphone with BB10 OS. Its strange that call log history for any contact doesn't show history for earlier calls made. It gets deleted automatically. For instance, if I want to track calls made to a particular contact for entire month(date & time). historydoes not show details. whereas this feature was available in Bold BB OS7 and it was on of the best feature ofBlackBerry.

  • Call Log auto deletes

I let my brother borrow my 8130 for a day and ever since then my call logs, messages, and emails are all automatically deleted once a day.  I dont know how to disable this feature.  Any suggestions?

i had this problem before and it was related to the memory.  i purchased a memory card and transferred all my pictures, ringtones, etc on it.   You might want to close all your opened conversations, maybe clean out some of the items in your custom dictionary as well. I also run the memory cleaner everyday and that seemed to help.
    hope that helps!

  • If u are not the account ownr, how can text and call logs be erased

if I am account owner, and no one e;se is allowed on my account, how did text and call logs disappear today

What do you mean by "disappear"?  If you are at the end of your billing cycle, the current logs will reset and the previous info will be unavailable for a couple of days while your bill is generated.
Once the bill is generated, you can got to "view bill" and see the usage details for the completed cycle. The details for the current cycle will show as unbilled usage on your home screen.

  • Call logs getting erased every day

After a recent software update my call logs are remaining only for one and a half day.Earlier i used to have the call logs for more than a month.I went to a service center guy who told me there is a bug in the software update which is causing this and there is a team working on it.I dont know how true it is.I get a lot of calls and i cant store a lot of those numbers because they are not useful to me much later. Can someone please help

I'm in a huge problem... My E72 is set to log 30 days but it only logs 1000 entries which is not enough for me so my oldest entries get deleted after approximately 22-23 days...
Can anyone from Nokia confirm this? Is S60v3 log limited to 1000 entries? It happened before and it happens also with the newest 051.xxx firmware.
How to resolve this? Cut back on phone usage?!

  • Pearl 8130 Call Display

    Hello.
I can't seem to get call display to work on the phone. Everytime someone calls, it says unknown number. Even if I have the person in my address book. I tried doing what the FAQ said to do but it still didn't work. Maybe I did something wrong. Can someone help please? Thank you!

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
There could be any one of three solutions... Try these:
    1. Make sure you set your own country code at Phone Dialer Screen > Options > Smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+xx" where xx = your country code. Some countries have two or three digit Country Codes. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
    * In the US, set this Country Code as "+1", and place your loca area code in the proper box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).
    2. At the same location, change the National Number Length to the number of digits for your country (since some countries will have less than 10 as set as the default in the BB). Find out the total digits, minus the country code. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (plus 3 for country code). You would enter "8".
    3. You may have "Content Protection" set on your Address Book.
Look at Options > Security > General Settings. Scroll down to Content Protection > Include Address Book = NO.

  • E65 call log - 2 sims

The call log is erased when I change my sim (2 different networks) on my e65, which is kind of annoying. Never happened on my N70. Can anyone confirm this or is it a bug on my phone. And if not a bug, can anything be done about it?
    Thanks

it seems that this problem of call log showing 1min duration for 1min.55sec call is older one. even 2min30sec call is showing as 2min call and 3.30sec call is showing as 3min call, and confirmed same thing seen with iphone 2g 3.1.3
    any clues?

That's a pretty common question asked and answered here on this site:
First thing? Check the File Free at Options > Status, what is the number at File Free?
Now, remove the battery of your device, hold a minute, replace and reboot. What is the File Free now?

  • Help! My blkbry Pearl 8100 is deleting my emails and call log...

Can anyone help me with this issue?  I've read that this is a very common problem with the Pearl.  My emails and call log will be erased in a day, an hour, or even a few seconds after having received a message.  I don't know what to do.  I've tried erasing some things to free up memory, which was someone else's solution in another forum.  I've taken the battery out for at least 5 minutes, not sure what this can do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

with the phone take the battery out for about 30 seconds and put back in the phone will boot its self up that should recover some memory for you. you can also hold the alt key down and type LG LG and you can clear that history out to free up more memory and if you have any thing like games that you don't use or want get rid of them.

  • Call Logs in Verizon Pearl

I have the Verizon Pearl 8130 and although I have selected to save all phone calls in a list for 30 days, they get deleted within hours from the meesage/log list. I called Verizon and they said it is a RIM problem and they have no solution. Anybody have the same problem or any other suggestions? Thanks

Your phone is low on internal memory.  Most common cause is you've had some fun with the camera I bet.   You've likely filled up the internal memory, and as a consequence the BlackBerry deletes Call Logs, SMS messages then old email to free space.   Please reference the following document:
Call and SMS logs disappear when BlackBerry smartphone is low on memory
Its also recommended that you get a Micro-SD card for media storage.

  • 8100 Flashing white, erasing call log & sms

I have the 8100 and just recently whenever I unlock my keypad, the screen flashes white and erases my call log & all of my text messages.  Really annoying, if I miss a call there is no log when I check.  I have had my Pearl for over a year now and problem free until now.  Any ideas on what is causing this or how to fix it?
    TIA!

Go to options>status>file free and file total. What is the number displayed under file free?
The phone is purging the data because it is most likely low on memory. File free is how much memory you have available.
Remove the battery and check your file free afterwards. Also if you have a lot of downloads you may want to remove the unnecessary ones.

  • Randomly erasing messages and call logs.

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100, it's started erasing my messages and call logs. When it starts doing it, it will delete messages before I even have a chance to recieve them, or read them. It will also freeze up while loading some applications.
I've checked my memory and it says I have 11379836 bytes free. I have a memory card so the only things  saved on the phone are the defaults and one picture. The only way to fix the messages thing is to take the battery out for a few minutes but it ends up doing it four or five times within a day.
    Please help! (=

  • Pearl 8130 Emergency Call Mode

Hi,  I've been issued a Pearl 8130 at work and generally like it. It does generally work well for me, except for one deal-breaking flaw.
Occasionally the phone jumps into "Emergency Call Mode" when I try to unlock it. I'll have the "Unlock" keyword highlighted but it jumps to Emergency Call just as I press the pearl, probably due to slight motion because I am using the phone on the train. Twice now an inadvertant second button press caused the phone to call 911. I hung up ASAP, but they called me back and I had to explain that I am OK and it is just this stupid phone making unwanted 911 calls.
How do I get disable Emergency Call Mode?  It is really annoying, and a terrible design flaw.
    Thanks

Sorry, you can't disable it, and if you are in the USA, emergency calling is required by federal law.

  • BB Call Log erased itself off completely. (several times)

Several times my BB has erased my Call Log. Was told to turn off BB and remove the battery from BB for couple seconds. This is to reboot the BB. Then return the battery to BB. Usually when this happens my BB is "very slow" and every screen I go to is stuck on the "hour glass". Anyone else experienced this before? What is the fix for this or is it a requirement with BB to remove the battery once a month? Please any helpful response appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is caused by the device having a low amount (or none at all) of memory. When the memory gets lower (lower than 12MB in some cases, although there is not a set number) the device will start deleting messages and/or call logs to conserve memory. You can check your available memory by going to Options > Status and checking the File Free parameter.
The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is still powered on) for about 30 seconds, then reinsert. Also, look at the links below for ways to maximize the memory:
