'peek' Glance on my 928 doesn't work

Question

I just recently noticed that the peek glance screen isn’t working for me any longer. When I turn the screen off with the button, then the glance screen shows the time. But after a few minutes, it goes away (as expected.) If I put my hand over the phone and then remove, it doesn’t turn back on. If I put the phone in my pocket and then pull it back out, it doesn’t turn on. This USED to work. I know it did. Any ideas on what’s changed? I thought it was just my phone, but my wife’s phone seems to be exhibiting the same symptoms. That makes me think that there was a recent update that might have changed things…
I’m not seeing anything on the web about others having this issue. One suggestion was to use some ‘nokia suite’ to test the light sensor, but I can’t find any other info on that. I also noticed that my screen doesn’t turn off when I’m on a phone call. My wife, again, is having the same issue. All these things seem related.

Yup, everything is 100% up to date.
Actually, in poking around on this site, I think I have it "solved". Turns out, others are having issue with their proximity sensor failing to work after the phone has been on for a period of time. That was my issue as well. I never turn my phone off; it stays on all day, is on the charger at night, then back in my pocket the next day. After rebooting my phone, the proximity sensor seems to be working again.
Others have suggested that it will stop working at some point, and restarting the phone (using shutdown/button on, not soft reset) will set things back to right. Hopefully someone at nokia figures out why the proximity sensor turns off or stops responding after a period of time and get the fix into the next glace/firmware update for the 928s.
