Pen / Touchscreen stopped working

Hello Everyone,
I have a HP Touchsmart tm2t CTO-1100 series. Recently, the Touchscreen and Pen just stopped working. In Computer properties under Pen and touch it used to say Pen with 2 touch points. Now, It says Pen input available. I've tried just about everything to my knowledge to fix this issue and have branched out to HP with no results. Any help anyone could provide would be very helpful.

  • My pavilion touchsmart all in one pc touchscreen stopped working

I had my sister and nieces over today and to keep the kids occupied we brought up the freshpaint app. We left the room for a few seconds and when we came back in the touch screen stopped working. I went into my system info and it said that pen and touch is not available for my computer even though it was in use just 5 minutes ago. Is there a way to toggle this feature?

  • Wacom Tablet Pen Pressure stops working in Photoshop after using Lightroom Local Adjustment Brush

    Hi all,
I am experiencing a problem with my Intuos Pro Medium (driver 6.3.9w3 on Windows 8.1)
I am using Lighroom 5.6 and Photoshop CC 2014.
I an get the pen pressure to work in Photoshop without any problem. However, if I go into Lightroom and use the Local Adjustment Brush and then transfer the photo into Photoshop (Right Click Edit In => Edit in Adobe Photoshop 2014 CC) then the pen pressure stops working in Photoshop.
Really frustrating... The only workaround is to close both Photoshop and Lightroom, then reopen Photoshop, then usually the Pen pressure feature starts working again.
Has anyone experienced this before or has any idea how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Guillaume

Your tablet driver isn't reporting pressure correctly.
The knockoff tablet drivers usually need to be revised for each new version of Photoshop (and we have no idea why).
Contact your tablet maker to see if they have updated drivers to fix their bugs.

  • Lenovo Flex 10 touchscreen stops working after 1 hour of use.

Just bought a new Lenovo Flex 10 from a retail and it works perfectly except that after an hour of use the touchscreen stops working, the computer still works ok, but only with the mousepad. The notebook came with Windows 8.1, and I haven't installed any program on it. I need an urgent response please, since i've been looking for days in the community and other support pages, and still can't get a satisfactory answer and the period to get the a refund are about to expire.
    Thanks in advance.

    hi riglesias,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Once the Touchscreen stops responding, can you check the following:
    1. Open System Properties and see if the Touch functionality is still there
      - Link to picture (Touchscreen feature is not detected)
      - Link to picture (Touchscreen feature is detected)
If the Touchscreen feature is detected, proceed to Step 2.
    2. Press the Windows key‌ +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the Device Manager, navigate to the Human Interface Devices section and uninstall anything that says HID-compliant device (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen). When finished, reboot the system and observe.
    3. If the Touchscreen is still not working, hold the Shift Key and hit the restart button inside Windows and you should be able to see the image below then try to tap on the screen to test and observe. I
If the touch capability is still not functioning, I recommend you contact lenovo for service.

  • Why does my touchscreen stop working?

I have an all-in-one computer (HP Pavilion 23-h017c TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC (ENERGY STAR) )that I purchased just about a month ago.  I have noticed that every other day my touchscreen stops working all together, nothing I do will fix it.  Finally I just shut my computer down, waited a sec, and turned it back on.  Once I did that my touchscreen started working just fine. If I just restart the computer my touchscreen still doesn't work - I have to shut it down.
My question is: Why does it stop working all of a sudden? This is driving me mad, I've never shut my computer down so many times before!!

I had the exact same problem. I had my HP Pavillion for less than a month when the screen stopped working all together. At first the screen would just shut off or not turn on when I tried to power up my laptop. It eventually stopped working all together. I had to wait 30 minutes on the phone for a customer service rep to tell me "press the power button" over and over again. Then I had to wait four days for HP to send me a box and then a week for HP to receive my laptop. I just found out after waiting on the phone for 45 minutes that it will take another month to receive my laptop. HP should recall HP Pavillions. They suck! The worst part of my customer service experience is they said they might not even send me anoher  Pavillion. Apparently they are going to send me whatever is in their stock that has the same specifications as the Pavillion. I can honestly say the BIGGEST MISTAKE I ever made in my life was buying an HP product. HP SHOULD SERIOUSLY RECALL HP PAVILLIONS. Clearly they aren't working properly. No laptop should crap out after less than a month of use.

  • Touchscreen stopped working & can't connect to iTunes

So my iPad's touchscreen stopped working. I could turn it on but wasn't able to enter my passcode. So I held the home & power buttons to reset it. When it booted up, it says it needs to be connected to iTunes. I plug it in to my computer and iTunes says "You must enter your passcode on the iPad before it can be used with iTunes." But my iPad won't let me type in my passcode (it's just showing the iTunes image with an arrow and a USB cord), and even if it gave me the passcode screen, I'm not sure the touchscreen even works. Help?

Nevermind, I'm doing a restore of the iPad. Thanks.

    Hello @alantaub1 ,

I understand TrueVision has stopped working on your computer. To assist you, please provide the following information:

  • Tx2-1375 pen just stopped working

Pen worked fine until yesterday. Just stopped working but touchscreen still works. I had an extra pen from another tx2 that i tried but it didn't work either. Any suggestions? Is there and on/off for the pen since everything else seems to work fine? Thanks for any help.

Hi, I've had a similar problem, and discovered that it is in fact the pen.
Inside the digitiser pens is an electromagnetic coil, with a soft ferrite core in the middle (I opened mine up when it stopped working). This is what reacts to the electromagnetic field generated by the active digitiser screen.
If your pen has been dropped, or even just rolled off the table, chances are this soft core is broken. This will prevent the coil from reacting to the magnetic field correctly.
Short answer - buy a new pen.

  • [Ubuntu, Windows 8.1] Touchscreen stopped working.

    Hello!
From about 1 year I'm lucky owner of Lenovo Idea Pad Flex 15 Laptop. I love it!
Today touchscreen of laptop stopped working after reboot from Ubuntu 14.04 to Windows 8.1. On both system screen is detected but, there is no input. I tried to turn off usb power saving on Win 8.1 and reinstalling all HIDs, without any success. On Ubuntu I tried to calibrate screen - still no luck. If applicable there is dmseg output:
    dmesg | grep eGalax

So, how to make screen working again?

    Hi,
A VPN 720 Error can occur if your server's VPN configuration doesn't point to a valid DHCP server on its network.  The result is your client can't connect since it doesn't have a valid IP address to use.
On the VPN Server, go to "Routing and Remote Access" under "Administrative Tools" and go to the "DHCP Relay Agent" configuration.  Check the DHCP server IP addresses that are listed for correctness
Regarding to restore point as mentioned in the post, do you have a anti-virus software installed? if you have, I suggest you temporarily disable it, then try restore point again.
For that specific update KB2920189, any error messages prompted when you uninstall it, you can also check the cbs log (Windows\logs\cbs), for detailed information.

  • HP Pavilion x360 touchscreen stops working with Win 8.1 pro

I currently have a HP Pavilion x360 2in1 convertible laptop.  The model # is 11-n010dx.  My issue is the touchscreen was working just fine with Win 8 on it, however, I need to be able to connect to my work network and that requires Win 8.1 pro.  I did the upgrade to Win 8.1 pro 64-bit and the touchscreen is not even recognized by the OS.  It states "No pen or Touch input is available for this display."  I have installed all of the drivers, nothing is missing from the device manager.  I try to install SP57846 but get an error that states that my computer does not meet the minimum requirememnt for this update.  I just need drivers to run my touchscreen in Win 8.1 pro 64-bit.
    Thanks

    Hi @ThundarTheOrk ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 11-n010dx x360 and the Touchscreen not working correctly after a Windows 8.1 update. Here is a link to a document on troubleshooting the Touchscreen.
Here is a fix I found from Microsoft.
The touchscreen shouldn’t need recalibration, but if you or another user has recalibrated it, it may affect the performance of the touchscreen.
Here’s how to check or restore the factory default calibration using a keyboard or mouse:
Press the Windows logo key Type Control Panel, then use the arrow keys to highlight Control Panel, and press Enter.
In Control Panel, use the arrow keys to highlight Hardware and Sound and press Enter.
Under Tablet PC Settings use the arrow keys to highlight Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input, and press Enter.
Use the Tab key to select the Reset button, and press Enter.
If the Reset button is grayed out, your Surface touch calibration is still at factory settings and nothing further required.
Use the Tab key to select Yes, press Enter, and then follow the instructions on the screen.
    Hope this works for you.
    Thanks.

  • Touchscreen stopped working on two areas

I have a problem with my pre, the touch screen stopped working on two areas. The first one happened like a week ago, then I used webOS to restore my pre but it didn't work and today the touch screen stopped working on other area, is there any fix to this problem?
Using Paintr app I located the zones that are not working: http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb219/alvaro_qc/photos-temp-0jpg-6.jpg

    Hello and welcome to the forums;
If your touchscreen has stopped responding in certain areas, this is a hardware issue, not a software one. I would recommend visiting a local service center to look into replacing your device either under your 1-year warranty, or insurance if outside the warranty period.
    Hope this helps,
