Pencil Tool not working properly.

Hi, I am trying to draw rope in flash but when I try to use the pencil tool it doesnt draw anything because in the fill and stroke pencil tool properties it is set on transparent as seen in the picture below:
It doesnt let me change the color.
Why is this, and how do we fix this?

The pencil tool uses the stroke color, the one on the left. Right click on that color indicator in the Properties window. The color selector should show up. At the top of the color selector will be an indicator for the density of the selected color. Change that number to 100. Now you should be able to draw with the pencil tool as you expect.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 12: dropdown boxes for tools not working properly in Win 8.1

Elements 12 system requirements are indicated up to Windows 8. Does that mean it should also work on any Windows 8 upgrades, more specifically 8.1? The drop-down boxes for the tools are not working properly in the program. I've installed it, uninstalled it, and installed it again with the same results. It worked fine on my old computer with Vista.

Yes PSE12 will work on 8.1
If problems persist try re-setting the prefs.
Go to: Edit >> Preferences >> General (Photoshop Elements menu on Mac)
Click the button Reset Preferences on next Launch

Selection tools not working properly -- Illustrator CS6

The two selection tools in CS6 Illustrotor not working properly. They don't select the object when I click and drag a box around them and the handles on drawing path won't stay highlighted when I use the direct selection tool so I can adjust them -- Worked in Illustrator for about 12 years and never had this problem.

Can no longer access iPhoto from the iMovie camera browser..not working. Also the Inspector tool not working properly. Cannot change clip duration.

How can I fix the INSPECTOR Tool? Clip duration is not working properly, it is very erratic. You type a number and a different one comes up on the clip.
Suddenly the iPhoto Camera browser in iMovie is not working properly either. Can not access my iPhotos to include them in iMovie project.

Have you tried this?
From the "HOME" screen, go to "SETTINGS > PRIVACY > PHOTOS" and see if iMovie is listed in the "PHOTOS" page. If it is, then tap the iMovie switch to "ON"
Now your Videos & Photos should be accessible in the iMovie App.

Pencil Tool not working after resize on CS5

Hi, just has the title says, every time i draw and resize, the Pencil Tool stop working, i need to close the file and open it again to have it work. Please any help will be valuable.

Selections tools not working properly in Photoshop CC 2014

Just installed Photoshop CC 2014. For some reason I cannot get my quick selection tool and quick mask to work properly. I can make a selection but when I try to make a mask I get all kinds of artifacting going on. I try to use quick select to clean up the artifacting to no avail, in fact I start to get different artifacting in the selection that cannot be removed by the brush tool. HELP. To bad I uninstalled Photoshop CC. Can I reinstall Photoshop CC somehow? Anybody out there with the same problems? The focus area will not work also?

At this moment, I have tried : Reset the "Adobe Photoshop Settings File" (When you open Photoshop, push "option + command + shift" for Apple).
Not ok.

CS5.1 scaling tool not working properly

The scaling tool is working oddly. If I scale it something down (like a logo) - even with the shift held down and scale it back up - it is all distorted. Is there something that I need to turn off or on? Because the scale tool isn't working properly it is destroying logos. I'm not new to illustrator so unless something in the program has changed I'm not doing anything I haven't always done - without the bad effects.

Edit Audio with pencil tool not working LP8

I am using Logic Pro 8.0.2. I am trying to edit an audio track in the "sample editor" window to remove a couple of clicks.
-I am highlighting an audio track, and then opening the sample editor
-When I get to the spot that I want to edit - I am dragging the pointer tool over that area to select it
- I am selecting the pencil tool in the sample editor window. When I go over the area that I want to work on and click the mouse, the magnifier turns on instead

Cant see where to start a new post so....
I'm running Logic8 on my 3.02 imac xtreme with Waves Mercury plugins with 4gig ram 10.5.5 and I'm trying to node a mac mini 10.4.11.
I'm getting the sync pending dull green on node enable tracks but NO actual node precessing at all
I've tried every conceivable comdination of plugins on trax Waves Non waves a mixture but still NO offload at all
Any ideas??

Brush and Pencil tool not working in Photoshop CS5 trial

I dowloaded the Photoshop CS5 trial yesterday 2 days ago. Everything worked perfectly yesterday. Unfortunately, today...the brush and pencil tool doesn't work. Anyone have any idea why?

We need a few more details like what doesn't work
with the brush or pencil tools.

Eyedropper Tool Not Working Properly: Photoshop CC 2014

I have the very latest version of Photoshop CC 2014. But, even before updating, all of a sudden, my eyedropper tool isn't working properly. It used to be that I could pick up a color from any place on the image, no matter what layer I was on. Now, it seems that layer MUST be the active one for the eyedropper tool to pick up the color. So, what's going on?
If it means anything, I recently updated from OS X 10.8.5 to 10.9.5.

FW CS6 Align tool not working properly with lines of text

Much to my surprise the align tool is not aligning properly with text and I'm not sure what the issue is. My snap to grid distance is set at 1 in preferences.
Task: Left-align several vertically-stacked lines of type using the alignment tool. All lines have text-align: left.
Result: Some of lines of type display 1px off from each other. Using the right-align tool yields the same issue.
Oddly enough shapes align pixel-perfect.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm not certain of this, but I believe the Align panel aligns the text runs as opposed to the text boxes themselves. This should be a good thing, as it's usually the text that needs to be aligned, not the invisible boxes containing the text.
Could that be what's happening?

Crop tool not working properly

I have CS4 photoshop. The crop tool was working correctly before, but now when I try to crop an image the tool doesn't cover the whole image the way it used to. It doesn't pull down across the whole image. Did one of my preferneces change? Please help me!!

Text select tool not working properly

When I use the text select tool, it selects columns, not words in a row, which is what I want. It used to work correctly. I am using Acrobat Pro, version 9.0.0.
I tried adding the ALT key, with no good result.

Is it with this specific document o any pdf you work on?
If it was earlier working fine for you, try repairing Acrobat by going to 'Help' menu > Repair Acrobat.
Also make sure you have updated it to the latest patch.

Marquee tool and shape tool not working properly

I have Photoshop CS five, and today while working in it, the behavior of all of my tools changed.
Tools are now defaulting to “select from center” mode, which normally requires holding down the option key.
As another clue, if I create a marquee selection, as soon as I release the mouse button the Marquis tool switches to “intersect with selection” mode.
I quit Photoshop and deleted all of my Adobe Photoshop preferences, however when I relaunched Photoshop the problem was still there.
I thought maybe my option key was stuck down, but when I tried typing in stickies, characters typed normally, so my option key is not stuck in the down position.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I actually spent some time with Adobe tech support working on the problem. You are correct it was a bug; they had me update my Photoshop AND delete this file from my preferences folder: com.adobe.Photoshop.plist — those two things did the trick.

Color change tool not working properly

I am running Photoshop CS5.
Now when I try to replace color, these are my steps
color replacement tool
mode: color
sampling: continuous
limits: find edges
tolerance: 33%
anti-alias: selected
I pick my color that I want to replace. If it is a green, or a blue, it will replace the color, but it replace with a neon color instead of the color that i pick.
If i use a white or a black, it will not replace the color at all.
Any ideas how to fix the problem?

Plain and simple: Learn how to work with selections and then use adjustments or e.g. the paint bucket tool. You are fundamentally misunderstanding how the tool works. All of what you see is as it should be - based on your settings it retains luminance and just replace the color info which explains why black and white don't respond (as there is no color) and how substituting a color while retaining the luminance would yield an unexpected visual result. Again, your approach is wrong, not the tool.
