Pending Confirmation in the Mobile Sales Inbox

Hi all,
when we change a field entry of a Business Partner and execute ConnTrans everything seems to work.
But the changed data has not been taken over to CRM although there was no ConnTrans error message.
When we look at "Inbox>Pending Confirmations" there is an entry in the "Pending Confirmation List".
So there has been no Confirmation from the CRM to Mobile.
Looking at the BDoc list, there is an entry with the same time stamp as in the "Pending Confirmation List" that has a yellow status. Executing this BDoc manually solved the Problem. After executing ConnTrans again, the Pending Confirmation List was empty an the changed data was taken over in CRM.
Any ideas or workarounds to eleminate this issue?

    1 year later, I am facing the same problem.
    I want to build MSA 4.0 SP8, everything runs fines until the end of the generation of the Tiles, the next step fails :
    Error intializing RT Generator !.RT Generator Failed for ".Error arsrep.dat is in use so Generation cannot be done
    Then around 10 thousands of error messages of that kind follow in the output window ; howeverin the end it says "Generation End" without telling whether it was successful or not (the first time the output window was too small, I thought all was OK )
    Anyways, the Mobile Sales icon appeared on the desktop and when I try to launch it I get the error "Starting MobileSalesfailed".
    During another attempt, I check with "Unlocker" the 2 arsrep.dat files I found under the BOL directory, it reported that none was used and locked at that moment.
    Also I killed the vbagen.exe process before starting the build, but it was automatically launched after. (first build was launched after a reboot, the 2nd after the 1st failed + vbagen.exe process killed)
    Does anyone have any clue ?
    Another question is : what are the rights required ? I am a local administrator but I do not have full admin rights (the only thing I saw at the moment is I cannot access to Add/Delete Programs in the Control Panel)

  • Mobile Sales - Error while Saving Sales Order

    Hi,
    When I try to create and save a sales order in the Mobile Sales, the error message UI_CONT_STATUSBAR_ICON_TT is displayed, blocking the saving process and the new order is not saved.
    I tried to debug the SAP Mobile Application Studio(Visual Basic) side and I didn`t find any error there.
    Does anyone knows what could be happening?

    Paul don't feel jealous  behave like a professional when you are unable to answer the threads that doesn't mean that no body can answer it, I have more than 6 years of Exp in Siebel CRM and and SAP crm, i don't have any necessity to get points it's may be u r focus getting points that's why you are worrying more than others  but not my focus is to share my ideas in SDN mean while if iam getting points means it's a diffrent issue, CRm new users SDn can rise any  doubts which they are having

    i think there is nothing wrong in answering questions when sitting ideally, remeber that yesterday iam at my work place till late night
    i was answering the questions, and the people  who are in Production Support, will login genrally night times , If you still have any Objections you can go to SDN and Report they will decide whose Id is to keep and whose to delete. Feeling jealous about others is not a Good practice and Not Professional

  • Variant config for Mobile Sales scenario

    Hi Experts,
    I am just looking into possibilities for this particular requirement and would really appreciate any inputs
    Req: Being able to use variant configuration in an offline mobile sales scenario involving graphics (i.e. selection of characteristic: color should be reflected in the image of the product being configured.)
    currently we using ECC 5.0.
    the possible option at hand is to use CRM MSA but we still need UI which can handle the interactive graphics.
    What other options do we have ?

    You're correct  - MSA is an offline application, with ocassional synchronization to CRM server.
    What we've developed - was on the front end ( UI ) in the Mobile Sales application.
    I'm not sure if this can be done in CRM UI ( with ABAP coding ).
    I understand your requirement, and to me it sounds similar to what we have done.
    You would need someone who know's Visual Basic or .NET really well, to develop an OCX control. Then, you have to incorporate this custom control into MSA.
    After that, according to your requirement, you need to build a custom code to change UI based on the user actions.
    So, to your point, whenever user changes the values of particular fields ( product type, quantity, status or category ) - the color will change.
    I'm not sure what type of functionality you are looking to customize in MSA, but it definitely achievable.

    Hi There,
    I have just been involved in a European implementation of SAP CRM 4.0 with a rollout of the Mobile Sales Application to 250 laptops.
    As this falls outside 'NetWeaver' at the moment I found that we were breaking new ground in terms of some of the problems we faced. It would have been very useful to have a forum to share the mobile sales experience and to see if other customers were facing the same difficluties.
    Is it possible to set up a new forum to deal with this? I have a lot of experience that can be shared especially related to the data rollout within a short space of time using the Rollout Manager.

    Why is it when I bought my first generation iPad in October 2010 the sales rep at the Orange County California South Coast Plaza store suggested that I buy Mobile Me service for $99 which he assured me was a one time charge and now, of course, Mobile Me has been discontinued and I've been "forced" to move to the Cloud and I'm being provided with another year of what Apple calls complimentary service with the clear indication that in a year I'm going to be asked to pay again for something I paid a one time charge for two years ago?

    Mobile Me was the successor to .Mac (dot mac) which was "free" to all users but for a limited time. It included a free email address @mac.com and an amount of what we would now call "cloud" storage that went by the name of iDisk. iDisk worked great but with only dialup service for me it was barely useful.
    So I didn't think much of dot-mac but lots of people thought it was worth paying for, so they did. Apple wanted to make it even more useful and integrate it with their portable devices which we all know as iPads and iPhones, and assembled a team to make it all work. This was to be called Mobile Me.
    They failed miserably. Lots of people including me looked at the final product and said "huh?" Unfortunately for the Mobile Me engineers, one of those people was Steve Jobs. He first humiliated them quite publicly, then disbanded the team, including firing at least one senior manager who shall remain nameless.
    This was the rocky beginning of what is now called iCloud, which is the "free" service I should have explained. iCloud includes an email address @me.com, and the 5 GB of "storage" which aggregates things like iWork documents, your email, calendars, Photostream, and iPhone backups.
    You can buy more storage if you need more than 5 GB, but if you have more than that it's still free through September 2013.
    What happens if you have more than 5 GB stored on iCloud and on September 2013 you don't pay? I'm not sure, but you have a year to think about it.

  • Confirmation of the production order qty equal to sales order qty

    Hi Experts,
    I need to control the confirmation of the production order should be equal to sales order qty.
    I'm having the scenario as follows
    If sale order qty for X material = 3
    while running the MRP, system will plan the order qty as 8 because of we maintained rounding profile in the Material master and enhancement we used for this.
    Rounding Profile Qty=5
    Total Production Order Qty=8.
    But, finally they will do the GRN for sales order qty only, remaining will be used for testing purpose.
    So, the confirmation also has to happen for only sales order qty. There, we need to control the qty based on the sales order.
    Is there any exit or Enhancement is available for this.
    Please help me.

    Exit for confirmation check is CONFPP04.
    However, opening orders for quantities higher than demand and leaving pieces undelivered and unconfirmed in production orders does not make sense. I could not get the requirement of incresing production quantity by adding rounding value? Moreover, if rounding is to be used for test purposes, why not do you receive them into stock? Why don't you receive 8 pieces into stock, deliver 3 pieces to sales order and transfer 5 pieces to related department?
    If it is because of MRP and you really do not want to produce extra 5 piece immediately, you may use material reservation or any other form of demand for 5 pieces, use EX for lot size calculation and have MRP create two planned orders for sales order and testing requirement, then you can convert planned order for sales order requirement into production order and continue processing.

    I checked the UID and PWD under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFWARE\SAP\MSA\MW\secutiry for IDES DB and they are consistent with the ODBC parameters for IDES.

    Hi All,
    my issue is resolved. The problem with my issue was the missing entry in the table SMO_AUTH_SYS. I found the note 687679 and ran the report according to it. With that table SMO_AUTH_SYS was populated with the record. Later i was able to connect to AMT and gave the standard role SAP_AMT_USER and since then i am able to log into MSAA application and also MSY application
    My issue is resolved. Thanks for everyone who tried to help me out.

    after the we generate thge sales order how we will give the confirmation to the customer automatically or in any way in SAP SD

    A confirmation can be given to the Sold to party for the sales order by means of an output type, which is the  most used functionality.
    You can create an output which can be a word or PDF document, or an email , fax etc. Based on the kind of confirmation you want to give (Document, email, fax) do corresponding settings in the output for printers, email settings, fax settings etc. and enable this output to be triggered during sales order creation by assigning the output to output procedure for sales documents. This part of configuring an output is done by Functional team while the email, fax settings are done by basis team in combination with tech team.
    The output should have a smartform and corresponding report program to populate the smartform. This part should be taken care of by the technical team.
    Once all these things are done, if a sales order is created, the output will be triggered which will send a confirmation document, email , fax as per the configuration to the sold to party. If you want the confirmation to be send to more partner functions, that is also configurable in the output configuration.

    Hi,
         Using the set method in this scenario is not reliable. The set methods are triggered only for displayed items, whereas you need to change the value for, I presume, all the items. In the code where you change the header field value, write the code to change values for items as well. The approach will differ depending on whether you are using the BOL method or directly call the maintain APIs.

  • Install Mobile Sales on Windows 7 64-bit?

    I found note 1469507 today, which enables Mobile Sales 7.0 SP4 to work on Windows 7. However, it is not mentioned which bit-versions of Windows are supported. The documentation for this version of Mobile Sales hasn't yet been updated, so Windows 7 isn't mentioned in the compatibility list at all.
    Has anyone installed MSA 7.0 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or can confirm that this is supported?
