Pending 'stuck' print jobs don't appear in Mac interface but appear in CUPS

We use a product called Equitrac to manage/authenticate print jobs from the OSX 10.6 workstation through to our Windows print server. When a print queue gets stuck on the 10.6 workstation the jobs do not appear within the native Mac printing interface, you have to log into the local CUPS web server to see the jobs and manage them. Here is a screen shot.

I was of the understanding that Equitrac run on a Windows box and was simply monitoring the spool files for user names and copy counts for internal charging. I think you are right about the level of user access the person logging in has, I will check in with our Mac admins and see what account they are logging in with to check these queues. One other twist is that the Mac does authentication through our Windows 2003 domain so people log in with their Windows credentials.... not sure if that makes a difference.
For an AD login with the Mac this would typically mean the users would be using managed accounts rather than local admin accounts. Since the printer proxies are at a system level then this could also mean the managed account has no rights to view the printer proxy. A test would be to log in to the Mac with an account that has Admin rights on the Mac and then see if the print jobs are visible in the printer proxy.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Assuming you are logged into your iCloud account and have enabled photo stream on your device, then any photos you take on your iPad will be added to photo stream and can be shared to any device that is logged into the same iCloud account.
If while away, you lose your iPad, then upon your return you would need to log into your iCloud account on your girlfriend's computer and enable photostream, by doing this you would then be able to download all the photos you added to photo stream whilst you were away.

'Laserjet 1022n Windows Update' causing printing problems: print jobs don't stop printing

Hello,
a few days ago, I installed the Laserjet 1022n Windows Update on my Windows 7 64 bits and since then, I can't print a page normally: the page doesn't stop printing. I am using a network port with TCP/IP.
I made several trials to solve this problem:
- uninstall the printer driver and installing it again (I tried the last version on the HP site and an older one that worked perfectly before)
- update the firmware of the printer to the last version on the HP site.
When I pause the printer and start the print job, you see it arriving in the list. Resuming the printer, the print starts on the printer but you see that the job stays in the list, flashing again and again. The printer keeps printing the same page.
I don't know what I can do to solve this problem. There is no mean of uninstalling the HP Laserjet 1022n software update because it doesn't appear in the list of installed programs (well on the list of the done updates by the way op windows updates).
I have the same problem printing on the same printer from another Windows 7 PC (with the same windows update done)
But I have no problem printing with my laptop on another network printers.
Is there someone having the same problem and how to solve it ?

You just have to uncheck the chekbox "Enable two-way communication" on the "Ports" tab of the printer properties and it works normally again !!!!

Iphone icon dose not appear in ' My Computer' , but appears in Itunes.

Could someone help me out.
I am using the Windows XP platform.
I have an Iphone 8GB (1st Gen), initially the 'Iphone' icon would appear in 'My Computer', but recently it has stopped appearing! I have tried changing USB slots, reinstalled the driver, but it still dosent work.
Itunes has no problems detecting the Iphone. The problem now lies with the 'My Computer.

Reason I ask if you have pictures in your camera roll is because if you don't then there is nothing to transfer thus no reason for the iPhone to report out to Windows that it is a camera. Thus won't show up under My Computer as a camera/scanner and won't pop up the options of what to do.

All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

Brading Image Not appearing in Portal Logon But appearing in /NWA /U

I am stuck up in a situation where in while doing the branding , I am able to see the branding image and text in
http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/NWA
http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/cms
http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/useradmin
But when I click on http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/IRJ
The red cross apears on the top woth no image being there . I am confused since what I did was changed the SAP stndard image name to branding-image1.jpg and Put My Image as branding-image.jpg .
this I did in both the folders - com.sap.portal.runtime.logon / layout
and com.sap.security.core.admin / layout
No changes were done in Visual Admin since the name of image is same as provided by SAP .
The worry part is if I click ln the Logon Page and check the properties : it shows
http://<Server>/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.runtime.logon/layout/branding-image.jpg
But when I go to http:/SERVER:PORT/NWA and see the image there properly and check the property of Image by right click :
it shows : http://XXXX/logon/layout/branding-image.jpg.
Now can someone tell . Why is there a mismatch ? Bcoz that is the reason I am not able to see the POrtal Branding Image .(In Visual admin we set the propeties as layout/BRANDING-IMAGE.jpg .. any connection there ??)...

As you told me I added the file extension here now .jpg and .gif But no difference it maked .
I think the link here is that in Visual Admin it enters as layout/branding-image.jpg
Can I change this to Path as appearing in IRJ :
irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.runtime.logon/layout/branding-image.jpg
beacuse the layout file as shown is prefixed with a root ... If someone can point to the root of that I can go prefix with my Root folder and Give exact path like irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.runtime.logon/layout/branding-image.jpg ...
And Yes there are no other servers / Its a single Instance , no Cluster wide instances here .

Flash not appearing in IE 8 but appears in all other browsers

I've inserted my flash swf file using Dreamweaver CS4 and it looks great and appears in all other browsers including IE 7 and IE6, but when I try to view it in IE8 nothing appears but a big blank white space. Can someone help me figure out how to make it appear in IE8 as well? Here is the page I've having trouble with.

Unable to see your Flash in IE6 on WinXP. Also, in IE6 your page is not centered. Possibly caused by code validation errors and the fact that some of your file paths are pointing to your local computer drive instead of the site. Specifically these.

I re installed osx before i did anything so now I am rolling my 500gig 7200 drive. I really like this computer. I bought it from best buy and it was $2,706.24 cents. I cut my finger taking the case off then i almost lost one of the screws when it hit the floor but i found it by sweeping the floor. The app store is cool. But the app went to the apps folder if i don't want to reinstall the app i can just copy it from that folder right?
Again i love this computer it has some big changes from tiger i had back it 05. i sold it and went windows.

Album art is not appearing on my iPad but appears when plugged into iTunes.

Having a major issue: I have about 8000 songs accumulated on my iPad Mini 3 with Retina display [running iOS 8.2] from my main computer in a different country. All my album art used to appear and everything was all well and good until I plugged my iPad into my MacBook Pro this morning to charge. While charging, I made one small spelling correction to an album error, at which point my iPad started to sync and then all the album art disappeared from my iPad. When I play the music in iTunes with my iPad connected, the album art appears in the small square at the top but whenever I play it on my iPad, there is no album art.
Is there a fix to this inconvenient issue? I'd appreciate your help!

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Restart your mobile device.

I am using Pages for iPad and since new update, it won't open. I do not own a MAC computer, therefore I have no idea how to solve this issue. I have a bunch of important docs on pages.

How do I purge print jobs on an officejet 4215 using windows 7 64 bit OS?

The all-in-one officejet 4215 will not print a print job nor will it delete the print job from the queue. I have uninstalled the printer and reinstalled, unpluged and disconnected from the network and nothing works.

Please clarify your meaning "reinstalled" the printer - The driver for your printer already included within Windows7, any software you may use is not intended to Windows7.
May the stuck print job being printed upon restarting the PC?
If so, i would recomment you to try and disable the USB Ports power Management. It may cause connectivity issues with the LIDIL printing language being used by your printer:
Right click on Computer.
Click Manage.
Open the Device Manager from the left pane.
Locate the Universal Serial Bus Controller category, double click to expend it.
Locate the first USB Root Hub
Double click it, then click the Power Management tab.
Clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
Click OK.
Repeat steps 6 through 8 for each USB Root Hub listed in the Device Manager.
Now follow and check for any improvement.

Printer connected to AE suddenly won't print jobs submitted by Mac clients

I have an HP 2015 Laserjet connected to an ethernet port on my AE. It has been running fine for almost a year. Suddenly (today) it no longer prints jobs submitted from 2 different Macs (10.5.7 and 10.5.8) on the wireless net. There are 2 Windoze machines on the wireless domain which have no trouble printing.
I can see the utility page from the Macs, so the connectivity is there. When I submit a print job, it shows up in the print queue, the green data light on the printer blinks, the job now is displayed in the queue as "completed." But no printing occurs.
Yes, there is paper in the printer. I can print a test page but only from the printer's control panel. The 2 Windows machines can print.
I have tried everything I can think of: removing the printer and reinstalling it, rebooting the machine, cycling power on the AE, cycling power on the printer. Nothing helps.
I run network diagnostics and get the following error message:
+Network Diagnostics was able to connect to the Internet,+
+but not to the server "HP Laserjet P2015 Series+
+(20D501).pdl-datastream.tcp.local." This could be+
+caused by problems with the server, or an Internet+
+problem between this computer and the server.+

Problem has gone away.
Removed printer from printer list
Shut down everything -- iMac, AE, printer, wait 5 minutes, power back on,
added printer to list
Everything works.

Print job will not delete, which halts other print jobs

Maddening issue with some print jobs sticking in print que, then failing to delete when attempting to clear que, which halts any print jobs that follow. Que shows "deleting" but in reality it does not delete. I have tried to go into spooler system and it seems to work when I hit "Stop" then "Start," but do NOT want to have to do this every time. thx for any help.

On order to clear the Spool, the easiest way is to turn off your printer,
Reboot your PC and then cancel all the documents from the Printers screen.
After the documents has been removed, turn the printer back on.
As the issue ocours more often, please let me know your printer model, how it is connected to your PC and your operating system version, it will help to better understand any possible cause.
