I ran into a similar problem recently while attempting an upgrade. I didn't find a solution to my specific problem but, I was wondering if you had run the pre-upgrade query. There is a SAP note
1000846 that refers to upgrade issues and the pre-upgrade query I would run this if you haven't already and see if it returns any results.
Also: here is a link to the query directly

SP 2013 upgrade error on all discussion lists
Has anyone had any issue with discussion lists in the upgrade process? Our client based all sites off the team site template and so most all have a discussion list.
All sites are failing to upgrade on this feature and not sure why. Doesn't seem to be very common problem. Ignore the TimeMaskedControl feature errors, we have resolved those already.
Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated!did you run the test spcontent database and what about the output?
Test-SPContentDatabase -Name <DatabaseName> -WebApplication <URL>
do you have data in the discussion list? also if you can share the upgrade error log only, it will be great help.
Please remember to mark your question as answered &Vote helpful,if this solves/helps your problem. ****************************************************************************************** Thanks -WS MCITP(SharePoint 2010, 2013) Blog: http://wscheema.com/blog -
Version upgrade error JOB_RSVBCHCK_R
Dear experts,
As part of our test upgrade from SAP 46C to ECC 6.0 we faced an error in
phase JOB_RSVBCHCK2, where upgrade phase list ToC suggests to check
t-codes SMQ1,SM13 and we couldt find any outstanding update tasks, so we
continued by ignoring the phase. Now one more error occured in
JOB_RSVBCHCK_R phase,again we check the SMQ1,SM13 T-codes,didt find any
outstanding update tasks. so when we try to ignore the task it is
asking for password provided by SAP to ignore the phase.
is it recommended to skip this phase?if yes does anyone have password to skip the phase?
regards
raghuI know this was answered, but just wanted to post this for the greater good, in case someone else gets stuck as we did...
During Prepare, we got this error
CHECK OF UPDATE TASK Errors and RETURN CODE in RSVBCHCK.EQ0
A2EEMCEX 151 Entries for application "11" still exist in the extraction queue
Long text:
Cause
Changing extraction structure &V#& for application &V#& is forbidden,
because there are entries that have not yet been processed into an
extraction queue for application &V#& for at least one client.
If an extraction structure is changed to the entries that are still
open in an extraction queue, then these are no longer able to be read
and can cause terminations with the collective update.
What to do
Start the collective update using the function "Job Control" in the
<DS:TRAN.LBWE>Logistics Extraction Structures Customizing Cockpit</>.
To get an overview of the logistics extraction queues, see the
<DS:TRAN.LBWQ>Logistics Queue Overview</>.
During Prepare we clicked Ignore because we checked all the active clients on this QA box and nothing for those existing clients was in SMQ1 (or SM13 for that matter). And in LBWE we had turned all the extractors to Inactive (because our BW system has been not operational for years, and we did not really need extractors RFCs running).
Prepare ended with this error in the checks.log but we thought we could proceed with the SAPUp.
Then during the actual upgrade, we get the same error, only it won't let you past it without fixing it or getting a password from SAP. One problem is - you can only login to client 000 at this point. The other problem was that the Upgrade was checking these RFCs in a non-existent client!
As prerequisite, we know that we have to go to SMQ1 (same as LBWQ) and delete any outbound RFC queues. The problem in our QA box was that there were some from an old client 444 which did not exist. So we can see these old RFCs pending from SMQ1 because it shows the client. But SMQ1 doesn't let you delete entries from other clients.
SAP has a ABAP RSTRFCQD which (per note 763255) deletes queue easily in background. But this ABAP can't delete in other clients other than the client in which its executed.
We tried recreating the client just so we could login and run this ABAP, but we did not have the SAP* password for that old client.
We felt it was easier to just manually delete the entries rather than deleting SAP* and restarting the system.
So we just used SQL and deleted the entries from client 444 in the same table SAP's job RSVBCHCK was checking:
delete from TRFCQOUT where QNAME = 'MCEX11' and MANDT = '444'
delete from TRFCQOUT where QNAME = 'MCEX12' and MANDT = '444'
Restarting the upgrade gets back the check in the phase of RSVBCHCK.
In Production, we don't have extraneous clients, so this should not be a problem. -

ERP6.0 EHP7 Upgrade error in phase PARCONV_TRANS
Hello,
If you have any idea or information , I hope your help!!
I'm upgrading ERP6.0 to ERP6.0 EHP7.
I have encountered the error in MAIN_TRANSEXEC/PARCONV_TRANS.
The error mesaages is like this:

Please see PARCONV.html for more information.
I checked the table status. There were no database tables.
This is my second upgrade of EHP7. At first time , I choosed 'Starard' mode.
At this time I choosed 'Single System'.
I activated one table(/BA1/F4_RELEASE) and repeated phase , then passed its table.
But there are almost 1,300 talbes.
Is this bug of 'Single System' mode ?
Or is there any solution?
My configuraion is
OS: WIndows 2008 R2
DB: SQL Server 2008 R2
CPU: 2
memory: 16GB

Upgrade Error phase STARTSAP_NBAS
Hi all,
I am upgrading from 47-200 to ECC6 on SQL server.
I am using downtime minimized. I am having issue in STARTSAP_NBAS phase with error : "System start failed code 02, test RFC did not work, try to log on to system with user DDIC"
When I am trying to logon to system with user ddic, I have a message at left bottom corner this function is not possibile.
This is my question:
1. Am I logging to shadow instance or the original instance?
2. Is it possibile that DDIC user is locked?
3. How do I solve this issue?
I have read note 955695. It is suggesting to upgrade the kernel to minimum patch 55. I am not sure if I need to upgrade the shadow kernel or the original kernel. Also this error is not specific to this note, I am not sure if this will solve the rror.
Can some one shed some light on this error?
Regards,
KGVamshi,
I unlocked the system, Tried logging in client 000 with my id as well as DDIC. message is, this function is not availiable.
System is starting there is no problem with starting the system. On OS level, I see the WP table and everything looks good. Upgrade manager is giving me rfc error and asking me to log on with ddic. When I am logging in with DDIC, Iam getting this function not availibile error message.

Runtime Errors CALL_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND
Except. CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC
Date and Time 10.09.2010 09:41:37
Short text
Function module "POSS_UIREQ_OPT_SUBMIT" not found.
What happened?
The function module "POSS_UIREQ_OPT_SUBMIT" is called,
but cannot be found in the library.
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSTXC" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC', was
not caught in
procedure "OPEN_FORM" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The program "SAPLSTXC" contains the CALL FUNCTION statement.
The name of the function module to be called is "POSS_UIREQ_OPT_SUBMIT".
No function module exists with the name "POSS_UIREQ_OPT_SUBMIT".
All function modules are listed in the Function Library (SE37).
Possible reasons:
a) Wrong name specified. Pay particular attenti
upper/lower case and underscores ("_").
or
b) Transport error
c) In the case of an enqueue/dequeue module,
the lock object may not have been activated
(ABAP/4 Dictionary).
When i tried to check function module it is not there..
Could you please help on this?

ITunes won't start after upgrade--error message
When I launched iTunes after upgrading to 6.0.1, I got the following message after agreeing to the usual legal terms:
"The folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "Music" folder."
Any suggestions?Jeff,
Thank you for the reply and your suggestions.
Yes, I did take a look in the Music folder--and no, the file was not there. I then used Spotlight and did find an iTunes Music folder, but when I tried to copy it to the Music folder I got error message -36, saying that parts of the file weren't readable and, therefore, not copyable.
I also used my disk utility to repair permissions and re started the computer---with the same results.
I'm not sure what else to try and may take my computer to my local expert.
best,

HELP ! HELP ! HELP ! "An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists." appears while attempting to upgrade or install BlackBerry Device Software. upgrading my Z10 OS to 10.3 on both (link & web). but facing same problem again and again. plz help. internet speed is 1mbps and working fine.
I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...
Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Good luck and let us know!

Upgrade errors without using a gui
I am on linux or unix and using exceed to run the installer across the network. It is very slow. I have done several installs/upgrades of different versions and types of oracle recently.
Is there an easy way to get the errors or prereq failures without scrolling in the gui? Just using the scroll bar on the prereq screen is a problem. Is there a way to do a silent install that only does the prereq checks? I got some warning and I want to find them?
When I look in the InstallActions file, i can't find the logs from prereqs. where would they be? I think they only write when I cancel out of the oui (I would prefer not to due this since its really slow).
yeah I know about silent installs. No time to create the response files right now. for now, I just want the prereeq warnings or failures?Pl post details of OS and database versions. I believe you will find your answer in the documentation - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/em.112/e12255/c_oui_appendix.htm#BABDADJE

Dear Experts,
We are having one unique problem , We having one BWP server CI install on AIX + Oracle 9i, and one application server on windows application server(the server resided on diffrnt windows domain) , But now since we have installed these systems . while kernel upgrade we have forgotten to upgrade the kernel level of application server. Hence the kernel got differed.
Now we have ci installed on kernel level 196 and Kernel level of app. server is 22 . and we have tried to upgrade it to 196 but instance is not getting up after copying kernel pacth.
Kindly suggest what to do, I am sending the Devloper trace at the time we have tried to upgrade the kernel level.

Sun Jul 06 21:54:41 2008Hi,
don't upgrade kernel on windows server.
stop application server.
copy kernel of windows on AIX machine under \sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NtI386
start application server.
if still fails then do following
delete the old patch number in the message server status area
which previously contained the old patch level:
- Transaction SMLG
- Goto -> System Diagnosis -> Message server status area
- delete old patch level of dialog instance.
restart application server.
