  • People cannot hear me at the start of our call on the Iphone 4s?

People cannot hear me at the start of our call on the Iphone 4s. What could be the problem? IOS? Home button? Lag when I swipe?
ONLY when I am getting a call, I will swipe the home button and the awnser option will lag a little bit, therefore the caller cannot hear me right away. After saying "Hello" the second time, everything returns to normal. I have tried everything and I am not sure what the problem is? It cannot be hardware since Skype, Memo, Facetime, all work perfectly. Everyone on these threads has the problem from both sides, while I only have it when I receave calls. I have tried it with head-phones and it does not fix the problem. What can I do? Will it be fixed in the upcoming IOS?
Although its a small problem that doesn't effect other parts of my phone, I would like to find someone who faces the same problem.
    Thanks

  • I make calls and people cannot hear me. what do I ...

HELP.  People cannot hear me and I am in the middle of a big project and I need to be ablke to make calls.   What do I do?

It's hard to tell you what the problem may be based off what little info you provided.  The issue can be driver related or maybe your upload speed is to slow, so people can't "hear" you.  You should try to do the Skype echo test and see if you can hear yourself.  To change things up, try another mic.  You never know if your trusty mic is failing.  Something in your audio settings like mic boost, etc. may be causing the issue.  If you are using a 3.5mm jack mic, try something like a USB-based headset or a converter from 3.5mm jack to USB.

At times people cannot hear me when I call.  Is there a setting I should check?

Having the same issue with iphone 4s, I can call another iphone, a landline another cell phone and I cannot hear the person and they cannot hear me unless I toggle the spearker button on the iphone... just got apple to exchange for a new 4s and there is no difference, I am still having the issue, on top of that, Apple store even, though the girl experienced the issue with me in the store, told me they could not verify the problem and then noted on my account it was an unverified problem exchange when they changed my phone.  I have yet to book another appointment since the people at the apple store made me feel like I was lying.  yet I see over the net a lot of other people are having the issue, and as I was walking out of the store I over heard another man explaining the same issue to another apple employee...............

  • People cannot hear me properly, problem with speaker?

I think there is a problem with my phone when I talk to people, they say I sound like I am far away I have to shout, or cup my hand to the bottom of the phone in order for someone to hear me.
I have done, i have restarted my phone, removed the battery, checked the settings. Still people cannot hear me. It has only been seven months, I never had a problem with my old BB Bold.

First, make sure your mic isn't full of pocket lint. It's right below the "k" in BlackBerry on the front of the device.
Then go to the Help app. At the bottom go to Testing. You can do different diagnostic tests in there and one of them is the mic. Does the test pass for the mic?

  • HT4972 People cannot hear me properly on my iPhone 4, although I can hear them very well. Would upgrading to iOS 5 perhaps sort this out, or any other software matter, or is it more likely to be a problem with the microphone?

  • If people cannot hear me when on FaceTime, is it my IMac microphone?

All of a sudden when I am on Skype or on FaceTime from my IMac, people cannot hear my voice.  I attempted to look at my audio settings.  Then, realized that I have audio when downstreaming a movie, or playing Itunes.
Is that an indication that my microphone has failed??

When you see the same issue on more than one hardware device, it means that the problem is likely to exist outside of the hardware.  Two things to investigate would be the software/firmware on the backup and issues with the cellular network.  It's probably safe to rule out the cellular network as well.
First, make sure that you have imported copies of all the information (pictures, videos, documents) on the device.  Do this thorough itunes, and the applications (photographic and document processing) on your computer.  Perform a firmware update then restore the device as new.  If the problem persists, then you may actually have the worst luck and discovered two devices with an identical issue.
Read each of the steps before initiating the DFU.
!.  Connect the iPhone to any computer running a fully updated version of iTunes.
    2. Press and hold both "home" and "sleep/wake" buttons
    3. After eight seconds let go of only the sleep/wake button.
    4. Keep holding the home button until you see a popup mesage in iTunes.
    5. Read all all the popups, then use iTunes to update the iPhone's software.
If the popup fails to show, repeat steps 2 through 4

  • TS1630 people cannot hear me when they call me in my iphone, what is wrong? it's either I need to keep tapping the phone or they will not hear me

I am having difficulty with Iphone4.  For two weeks now, when people call me or I call them, there are times that they cannot hear me.  At times I need to tap the phone and it will work but most of the time it does not.  What is the problem?  Is this a major problem?

    Hello arendss1,
Thank you for sharing your audio concern with your iPhone 4S! As your wireless provider, we want to make sure that you are able to get the maximum usage out of your device! I would like to partner with you so we can get this issue resolved once and for all! May I ask is there any physical or liquid damage on the device? Also, what software version do you have on the phone? Below are some steps to try to resolve the audio issues.
Turn off bluetooth and wifi in the Settings Menu.
Verify that the headset jack is clean.
Adjust the volume from the Settings menu. (Settings > Sounds > Ringer and Alerts)
Confirm that "Change with Buttons" is on.
Perform a soft reset by pressing & holding the home key & the sleep/wake key for 10 seconds.
Once you have tried these steps then please retest to see if the audio has returned to the device. I would also like to suggest test the device on speaker phone and with a wired earpiece as well. If the issue persist then please advise of any changes as all new information may prove to be beneficial in achieving a resolution.
    Thank you...

  • People cannot hear me... but I can hear them

I am having a problem with my phone, when people call me, I can hear them, but they cannot hear me...any suggestions.  I have restored my phone and I am still having issues.

    Hello,
i have the same issue and as i can see in the internet many people have the same problem.
Since i tried to find a solution and i could not, i started observing when i had the issue and i discovered that this most probably happens due to temperature increase. I live in a hot country during the summer and the problem appeared when the temperature was high and also i had use my phone alot playing around with apps.
The problem was happening randomly but once it happened i immediately put my iphone to the refrigerator for 5 minutes and then i could make calls succesfully again.
Please try to observer yours as well in order to confirm that this is the problem

  • Cannot hear anything in calls only. Works for Skype.

    Hi,
I am facing a strange problem. I cannot hear anything when making or receiving a call. Neither the earphone or speaker would work. The person on other side can hear me so the mic is working. Strangely this seems to be only a problem while calling via network. Can use facetime, Skype, play music. So assuming there is no hardware issue.
I have tried restarts, restoring to factory settings, none have helped.
Any idea or help will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

  • Cannot hear sound in calls

Something happened to my phone. There is no sound on either side when a call is in progress. If i attach head phones, i can hear their sound but they still cannot hear my sound. Has been happening from past couple of days. The phone did not fall down. Increasing ringer volume shows that volume is being increased for headphones even when headphones are not attached. Same with call volume. Any help is appreciated.

I just got on the phone with tech support. It was found that my phone was thinking that the head phone is still plugged in. This is because of dirt stuck in the head phone slot. The support person asked me to rapidly insert and remove the head phone jack to dislodge the dirt and it worked. Check if this works for you. If you increase the volume on your phone, it shows 'ringer' and below it '(headphones)'. This indicates that it thinks the headphones are still on.

  • People cannot hear me!

Not allways, but often when I make or receive a call, the person on the other end cannot hear me. I can hear them but it is as if the microphone is not working

Sorry I can't help, but oddly enough, I have the exact opposite issue. I can't hear anything through the handset. Speakerphone, headphones, and bluetooth all work fine, but I can't hear anything through my handset earpiece.

  • People cannot hear me properly

Im having issues with my iphone 5 where by i can hear people perfectly well but after a couple of minutes conversation they cannot hear me properly, they miss out on words and sounds stuttery. Not sure if its related but only the left headhphone will work now too, i have tried another set and get the same problem
    Any ideas appreciated
    Thanks
