People not receiving photos

Why are people not receiving photos sent from my ipad

Do you have some sort of small size limit on emails that is imposed by your email provider? All providers have a size limit of some sort, but I don't know of any that would be so limited that you couldn't send a photo.
I wish that I could think of something a bit more specific that could be causing this, but try some really basic troubleshooting steps like closing all apps and reset your iPad. You won't lose any data if you do this. I am assuming that you are running at least iOS 7.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

• People not receiving photos in texts from me

I just got my BlackBerry this week and sometimes when I send a photo through a text, my friends don't receive it. In one case, a random girl texted me to say she had received a photo from me. What the heck is going on??

• Using Adobe SendNow and so many people not receiving the mail!

Using adobe sendnow and so many people not receiving the mail! How do you stop or limit the messages going to spam/junk? Is that where they are going? Please help!

There are many hundreds or thousands of different spam filters, so it's impossible to say what triggers them. You can do a test though: send the same file, but for a subject use only "File for ...." and give the person's exact name. No other words. If this gets through, your words unfortunately have been used by too many spammers. (Rather like someone with the misfortune to be called James Viagra - nobody would ever receive their email).

• IPhone 5 not receiving photo messages

Help? My iPhone 5 is not receiving photo messages. Anyone trying to send me photos just gets the exclamation point. When I send photos they go through just fine. iMessage, SMS, MMS and Group Messaging are all switched on. This only started happening a few days ago and I have not recently changed any settings or downloaded an update. Advice?

Hello ,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Please follow the troubleshooting steps to fix this issue of not being able to receive MMS.
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps
Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you're roaming on a cellular provider network that is different from your billing provider's network.
Make sure that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar of your iPhone.
Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
Make sure that you can send and receive SMS. If you can't send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above. MMS might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
Restart your iPhone.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
Remove your SIM card and insert it again.
If you still can't send or receive MMS, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you're sending a group message.
Make sure that you're using the area code with the contact's phone number. When you send messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
If you're using a "Pay as you go" MMS plan, make sure it has enough available balance. If you're unsure of your MMS plan or available balance, contact your carrier.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact from the Contacts app. Send a new message to the new contact.
Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process might not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
Contact your carrier to verify that you're provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
Contact your carrier to verify that there aren't blocks or filters on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
Your carrier might require modified APN settings to use MMS.

• People not receiving my e-mails since 1st Jan 08

No one has received e-mails from my mac account since 1st January 2008. I've discovered this today and done various tests. One of them being sending e-mails from and to two different hotmail addresses via entourage. This works.
Anything sent from my mac account is not received. I have received e-mails, but anything I've sent from my computer using entourage (hotmail) to my mac account is not received.
I've used a different computer to send a hotmail e-mail to my mac account and that does not work. Nor does receiving mail on my mac account on the different computer. I can't.
I've tried resetting my mac account and that has made no difference either.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

Right-Click (or Ctrl-Click) on any mailbox and choose Get Info (you can also invoke this window by typing Command-I). Now, in the Account menu, choose the account that isn't working properly. Does Mail display all your messages there, even those that it fails to download?
If the answer is yes, don't close the Get Info window yet. I'm going to propose a solution that will cause all your mail still on the server to be re-downloaded again as if it was all new, no matter how old it is or whether Mail had already downloaded it. Hence, before proceeding, you may want to delete any messages still on the server that you don't want to be downloaded again. You can accomplish this in the Get Info window by selecting the messages you want to permanently delete from the server and clicking the Remove From Server button at the bottom right of the Get Info window.
Now, follow these steps:
1. Quit Mail.
2. In the Finder, open the HOME/Library/Mail/POP-<account-name>/ folder.
3. Move any files in that folder whose name starts with MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded to the Trash.
These files keep track of which messages have already been downloaded, so that Mail does not download them again every time it connects to the server. Moving them out of the account folder causes Mail to forget that information and start downloading from scratch all over again.
For some reason, the information in these files can become inaccurate at some point for people with Comcast accounts. I'm not sure it is a file corruption problem. When these files are the problem, Comcast seems to always be involved. I wonder why your wife has not experienced the same problem, though. Maybe she just hasn't yet or maybe Eudora keeps track of downloaded messages using a different technique...

• Not receiving photos on ipad 3 from iphone 4s

Just wondering if someone has the same problem of not being able to receive photos from Photostream from iphone to the ipad. Mine was working but has notwstopped. Tried resetting and other stuff. but still not working.

Hi,
It does seem at times the iPhone loses it's "Registration" of the iPhone Number to the iMessages Server.
Get the User to Check their iPhone > Settings > Messages.
The app should be ON.
The Apple ID should be present.
The Send and Receive should then list both the iPhone Number and Apple ID as ticked items (the phone number will be greyed out)
I have had the iPhone number appear greyed out like it should be but become Unticked (Inactive).
The the greyed out state means you cannot turn it On or Off manually this does seem strange.
The process if it is "un-registered" is to remove the Apple ID.
Place the iPhone in Airplane Mode to break with the servers.
After a few minutes take it out of Airplane Mode and go back to the Messages Settings.
The iPhone Number should be verifying.
Once that is complete re-add the Apple ID and then choose the "Start Conversations From" option.
If the Number is also missing from the Mac version Restart the Mac version and Accept the pop ups.

• Iphone 4 not receiving photo text messages - would welcome your thoughts

Iphone 4 is receiving word texts but not photo texts - set up with MMS not imessage. Would welcome your thoughts.

Initially it sounds like something with your backup data caused the issue with your new device but if you restored your device again without using the backup and the issue still exists it wouldn't appear to be the issue at all. Since the problem seems to only be with one person are you sure it's not an issue on their end and with their network that is stopping you from receiving the messages? Have you tried *228 option 2 to see if that helps?

• People not receiving mails i send

For the last 5 days, only one of my emails has reached its recipient. The others are all lost somewhere... When I send, everything appears to be fine, but they are not arriving. Would be very grateful for any help

When a message is successfully sent (a message will remain in the Outbox and not be moved to the account's Sent mailbox if not successfully sent), the message is either accepted or rejected by the recipient's incoming mail server.
If rejected by the recipient's incoming mail server for whatever reason, you will receive a return email error message from the recipient's incoming mail server indicating why the message was rejected.
All or most incoming mail servers have a spam filter and virus scan. If a message is accepted by the recipient's incoming mail server, the message may be incorrectly marked as spam and if the message includes an attachment, the attachment may be infected with a Windows virus if a received message from a Windows user includes an attachment and is forwarded by you. False positives also occur but regardless, the attachment (correctly or incorrectly determined to be infected with a virus) is usually removed from the message at the incoming mail server and the rest of the message is available for download by the recipient.
Basically if a message sent by you is accepted by the recipient's incoming mail server, the problem lies at the recipient's incoming mail server or between the recipient's incoming mail server and the recipient's email client.

• Since upgrading to Lion, my PC recipients are not receiving photos I attach to the email sent from iphoto. Why?

Since I upgraded to Lion, my photos are not attached to emails. Example: I select photos in iphoto, click Share and send the email.
Recipients tell me that there is 'nothing attached, no photo attached." Can you help?

This doesn't work for me at all. I tried entering exactly the same information that I used to set up my regular email account and I'm still getting an error message. I even tried switching to using my gmail account and neither one worked. Then it got hung up and had to repair my database! I have a lot of photos on my Mac (thank goodness they're backed up) and I was really sweating it for a moment.
Apple is so easy until it's not. I find this to be really aggrevating and I'm irritated that it hasn't been fixed. In fact I did an online search and someone described this same problem in detail and it was exactly what was happening to me. Same error messages.
I'm frustrated that Apple keeps updating it's operating system and then we go through these glitches.
And while I'm at it, I have never had such a frustrating time using my login information as I have to get into this forum! Why do they make it so difficult? There's just something about the way it's worded that get's me messed up every time. Meanwhile, at least get iPhoto fixed!

• I am all of a sudden not receiving photos in text form, anyone know why

People are trying to send me pictures through iMessage and they are not going through on my end. It is not just happening from one person. Both people trying to send are using iPhones but one is verizon and one is AT&T. Not sure if one of my settings needs adjustment or what??

Make sure you're connected to the internet of course if you both are using imessage. If you're attepting to send images via text, it requires your data to be on.

Hi there-
Click Edit > Preferences
Click the iPod tab
Click the Music tab
Set it to "Automatically update all songs and playlists"
At the bottom, there are checkable options... Make sure the only ones you have a checkmark on are "Open iTunes when this iPod is attached" and "display album artwork on iPod."
Click OK
Let the iPod go through its automatic update process. When it's done, the top of iTunes will say "iPod update is complete, OK to disconnect"
Leave the iPod connected.
Click Edit > Preferences
Click the iPod tab
Click the video tab
You should now be able to enable video sync to your iPod.
If not...
Restore the iPod according to the instructions in the link below. Once you restore it, disconnect it and set the language on it. Then, reconnect it to your computer, and set it up in iTunes. When you name it, you'll see the option to "automatically update..." You want to leave that selected. Click Next, click finish. The iPod will go through an automatic update... once it's finished, you should be able to click Edit > Preferences, then iPod tab, then the Video tab, and allow automatic sync of video.
Hope this helps you out. Feel free to reply if you have any more problems or questions.
Best wishes,
CG
