I have a SB Audigy 2 NX, it works great in Vista, but the driver posted on the driver section is not complete. The one in XP is much more complex. The one in vista doesn't support the remote control for example. And another very big complain: Even in XP I have a very big dissapointment - there is an option, to activate the noise reduction, but it doesn't work only with the media source. What's that all about? Why doesn't Creative just addmit that Winamp is better and a lot easier to use, I spent 40 minutes to add all my music into the library. I would like to use the noise remover option?for any sound!!! Please tell me anyone, can I make at least the remote control work in vista?

Can't Instant Message Certain People - Please help
I am unable to IM two people on my buddylist. When they IM me it says I have an IM but nothing pops up. When I click the window tab- it shows a few screen names. Now when I got to click those certain screen names on my buddy list to have a conversation- nothing pops up. These people are not blocked, although I have tried blocking and unblocking them to see if it had any affect. The only way I can communicate is by inviting them into a chatroom. Also files can't be sent between me and these people.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled iChat.

a. This returns all files in the app to their usual UNIX defaults.
b. Some apps will require r/w permissions on the group to function.
c. All OS X apps should bear admin (80) as the group ID
d. Some apps require owner be set same as user, most like owner set as root.
Snow Leopard's Sudo visiblepw flag is no longer set as it was in 10.5.x
The "visiblepw" option must be entered into the Defaults
section of the /private/etc/sudoers file in order to allow
sudo to run in 10.6 when a tty is not allocated. From the
sudoers manual:
"visiblepw
By default, sudo will refuse to run if the user must enter a password but it is not possible to disable echo on the terminal. If the visiblepw flag is set, sudo will prompt for a password even when it would be visible on the screen. This makes it possible to run things like "rsh somehost sudo ls" since rsh(1) does not allocate a tty. This flag is off by default."
Using visudo, Add the line "Defaults visiblepw" to the Defaults section of the /private/etc/sudoers file and the following error message will no
longer appear:
sudo: no tty present and no askpass program specified
A valid workaround is to use the
"-S" (capital S) option with sudo.
I noticed you used su with sudo, that is not cool.

ok, so i'm going to be starting my architecture classes soon and the school has given me a list of hardware requirements for the computer that i need to have. they reccommend that i get a DELL with the specs i'm about to list, but i really really really want a macbook pro! so here's the list:
Hardware Requirements
Desktop or Laptop Workstation with:
-Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz Processor, minimum (Celeron processors not recommended)
-4 Gb MB RAM minimum; (for rendering and 3D applications, more RAM is preferred)
-512 Mb AGP Video Controller
-160 Gb or larger internal hard disk.
-DVD and DVD-RW dual drives, DVD/DVD-RW combo drive on a laptop is a good choice.
-100/Gigabit Ethernet connection, and Wi-Fi Network card (these are now built-in on most laptops)
Now i know for sure that the macbook pro has an intel core 2 duo 2.5 ghz processor, and i can get it with 4gb of ram, and i know it has way more than 160 gb of space on the hard disk. and of course it has the dvd/dvd-rw drive and the ethernet port and airport/wifi card. but i have NO IDEA what a "512 MB AGP Video Controller" is. I tried to google image search it but the pics just looked like a bunch of internal parts... so does the macbook pro have this "512 mb agp video controller" inside? or if it doesnt, is it something that can be plugged in and used via the expresscard slot? and if it can be plugged into the card slot, will it work in bootcamp mode: Windows XP (which they're making me use for autocad ugh.. :/)?
somebody please reply soon, i really dont want an ugly DELL with only windows on it.Yes the MBP with the 2.53 GHz proc will meet all your needs. It comes standard with 4GB RAM and 512 dedicated video card. The video card will work in the windows virtual environment.

i have an iphone 3GS and its playing up....ie: when texting i get multiple letters and sometimes a tab comes up with different forgien letters,if i press delete it will mostly delete my message if i dont quickly press another letter or the space bar but then if i press the space bar i will get a full stop and have to delete that,bit of a pain and im starting to go mad! its not just the text it happens on the apps too,as if i have held down an APP to delete it so it wiggles but i havent held it down,sometimes the screen will lock up altogether and i have to restart the phone holding down both buttons for the 11 seconds as advised,also,the apple shop told me to back up and do a restore as it sounds like just a software issue,ok,i tryd that,my iphone has the latest update and is not due again until 1st sept!
i dont have applecare or insurance
i cant upgrade til may 2012 and a fast track to the iphone 4 will cost me £185

MANY THANKSIt will wipe out the iphone and restore it to factory settings, your contacts should be on your mac/windows address book (anyway you should have a backup or a copy of your contacts) from where itunes take them to sync or in mobileMe if you have a suscription, your music and apps should be stored in your itunes. So you will have to reconfigure the iphone again (i.e. choose the music and apps you want to sync with your iphone, configure wifi setttings, configure email accounts, etc.) Some work to do here! but after your iphone should be working normally.
Just make sure you sync your iphone with itunes before doing this it will copy apps and music you bought lately to your computer. -
Please HELP, "iTunes has stopped working" error after connecting iPod video
People please help me out! I have a Razer Blade gaming laptop with Windows 8 64bit.
I have an iPhone 5, iPad 2 and an iPod video (80GB). I had some weeks from not connecting the iPod to my computer, but this morning that I did so I can upload some new music to it, iTunes just crash, I get the "iTunes has stopped working" error message when I connect the iPod video. I do not have this problem with either the iPhone 5 or the iPad 2, when I connect these, iTunes works fine, once I connect the iPod, then all goes down
Procedures that I already tried and that were unsuccessful to solve the problem:
Uninstall Quicktime
Uninstall iTunes and reinstall
Reset the iPod (several times)
Delete TEMP files on computer
Restart the computer (several times)
Use a different cable and a different USB port
The iPod is working fine, if I plug it to my car stereo or if I use it with headphones it works great, no problems nor errors. My computer also identify the iPod as a hard disk, no error messages from Windows, it is just the freakin' iTunes that freezes everytime that I plug the iPod
PLEASE HELP ME OUT, I've searched forums on this particular issue but with no luck.

Do you have the "Convert to 128 kbps AAC" preference enabled for syncing to the iPod, laur?
If so, it's quite plausible that you've got the iTunes 10.1.0.54 bug and we need to get you updated to 10.0.1.56 as per the following document:

The cause is likely that the configuration during installation of IPM went wrong somehow or the particular way you are starting the server is missing the IPM libraries. This is not so much a WebLogic Server issue as an IPM issue. I recommend you try posting in one of the Content Mgmt forums like WebCenter Content or open a support case with the IPM team. -

I have an iPad 2 and everytime i try to sign in to imessege it will say "Please be sure you are connected to the internet" but i am! This is making me really mad because I want to talk to people please help! I feel like I've tried everything!
The wifi symbol only shows the presence of wifi, not that you are connected. At the time you want to use iMessage, does email and Safari work.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

this is my first post here.so im extremely sorry if this is the wrong section.
i purchased the nokia n82 in india around January 2008.last week when i decided to connect the phone to my pc and update it using nokia software updater to the latest version...it was running all fine suddenly "NSU" said that the connection to the phone was lost and remove and insert battery again... i did it as many times possible den some sites indicated the three finger salute.. i tried that also but no use..all i have is a black screen with a backlight on which vibrates when switched on.
then i took it to the nokia care in Bangalore(RT nagar) the place is called shilak.The phone is under warranty so i thot nokia care would help.. first time i went there the incharge there took my phone looked at and said to me you hav dropped your phone and u hav damaged ur screen.. there are a few scratches on the phone due to a bit ruf use.. then he took the phone sayin warranty was void and i had to pay for the services.. there was no feedback from them.then i went back to the place 2 days later... the lady in the counter said "its board problem we hav no solution for it".. then i went to the dealer i bought the phone from..he said hell giv a try with the nokia care...i went two days later... now the reason given by nokia care for waranty being void is water logging...i was like omg!! i hav never even brought the phone near water..
people please help me.. as i really doubt whether nokia care in bangalore or india will help me repair my phone.. for a mere 400rs or 10$ they are ruining nokias name..Sorry to read about your disgraceful treatment and the hands of nokia vinaydas.I'm afraid that these FAKE voiding of warranties are becoming more and more common.Nokia stop caring after they have your money.My advice to you would be to seek legal advice or some offical goverment body such as trading standards.Maybe even search here and other forums find others in the same position as yourself and get them to support you in a joint claim against nokia.This has to stop its nokia cannot be allowed to get away with this.I have a thread on here named QUALITY CONTROL AND AFTER CARE please add your voice to it.

I decided to change my apple id on my iphone 5 to have a seperate account from the other people in my family. I changed all of the settings to the new id and I can't sync new apps or music to my phone and apps on my phone will not sync to my computer. Please help!!!
If you didn't already do so, authorize your computer for the new ID by opening iTunes and going to Store>Authorize This Computer. Then sync your phone with iTunes.

Go to Settings>Notifications and turn alerts/sounds on for the app(s) in question. Not all apps have all options.

Thanks for the help, but i've actually done that before.
It does not help, because it only shows the photos on the camera roll and do not show the photos synchronized with that pc that i dont have access anymore.
The photos/albums all appear on the ipad, i can see it without problems but i cant get them out of the ipad to save onto pc for backup.
And i reaaly need it, as it is the only place that i actually have these photos now... -
