People Soft users???

I have a report that is based on a PSoft query.  There is a selection prompt built in to the query.  I have another report, based on a different query,  that prompts on the same field as the first. I want to bring the second report in as a subreport.  I had thought that since they both use the same prompt fields (which are identical) that the linking should be straight forward.  This does not seems to be the case.  I have played with the linking in all manners possible, with no luck.
Any ideas?

I'm confused. You install ORACLE on a day by day bases just because the pw "got lost"? ORACLE would be out of the market if that is the only solution.
I assume you are on windows right?`You installed under your account right? The database services got started right? So go into CMD
