People stop hearing me but I can hear them!

Hi,
I hope someone can help me with this. I have had my BB for about 8 months and for the last two months for some reason during phone calls people stop being able to hear me. I can hear them perfectly but they can't hear me at all. It is usually after a longish call but it is starting to happen more frequently--i.e.. more than 4 times in a week and after only a 5 minute call. Very frustrating as this is my only phone and my phone calls tend to be important.
I can usually get up and working after hanging up but I occasionally have to take the battery out and wait a bit. I called TMobile and the best they could do was tell me to take out the battery and send me a new security package. This didn't help. My software is up to date. I am using BB desktop for mac.
Can anyone share any ideas? Do I need a new phone?

i have the same issue and as i can see in the internet many people have the same problem.
Since i tried to find a solution and i could not, i started observing when i had the issue and i discovered that this most probably happens due to temperature increase. I live in a hot country during the summer and the problem appeared when the temperature was high and also i had use my phone alot playing around with apps.
The problem was happening randomly but once it happened i immediately put my iphone to the refrigerator for 5 minutes and then i could make calls succesfully again.
Please try to observer yours as well in order to confirm that this is the problem

Apple Store Genius makes all decisions regarding implementation of Warranty Coverage. Maybe you have AppleCare coverage and don't even know. If the Genius decides to cover under Warranty then it was worth taking to Apple. If Genius decides no Warranty, then replacement iPhone 4 is $149.

Eh?
Quicktime doesn't play "muxed" video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
You need a 3rd party converter such as Videora, or MPEG Streamclip to convert the video file.
The file must meet the following specifications to play correctly.
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats.

MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats.

Just for your info,
1)Pls do try to turn off n on the phone for up to 5 times. ( to reboot the program )
Maybe you need to take out the battery n put in back again. Just be patient. The phone may not be okay straight away. Maybe after a day or two , the phone will go back to normal operation.
2) Try using the handfree set or earphone. If it is working, this shows your phone is ok. Maybe you have to bear with the inconvenience of using the earphone for a day or two.
3) Remember, if you send back to the supplier like digi,maxis or celcom - the technician over there will do just the same. They will say they need to send your phone back to factory or they will ask you to register the complaint
and ask you to wait for the spare parts.
4) IF IT IS POSSIBLE, JUST ASK THEM TO REPLACE A NEW PHONE FOR YOU ! DEMAND YOUR RIGHTS!

good question. try to record a voice memo on your phone. if you can't hear yourself, it means likely that your mic isn't working, which would explain why no one can hear you on the phone

Try disconnecting the headphones and then adjusting the volume, does it say headphones?
If it does, there might be something in the headphone jack, maybe lint, dirt, or something else in there.
You can try getting it out by connecting the headphones 5-10x or spraying compressed air into the jack.
If it doesn't say headphones or there isn't anything in there, try restarting or restoring the iPhone.

I have an iPhone 4.
When I make a call I can't hear ringing or called party when handheld but they can hear me.
I can hear fine on speaker or through headphones.

This rectified itself after two days!! Must be a new feature from Apple to help you save on phone bills.

Ive tried resetting the phone and this has not worked. I have also tried using the voice recorder app to see if its a problem with the microphone and i can hear myself perfectly when i play it back. just wondering what to do?

I saw one post where a user said dust got in the small mic hole. Used a vacuum cleaner to remove and audio restored. Try it.
