People Who feel Apple needs to focus on RAW quality.

Question

Ok, it is widely know that everyone loves Aperture's workflow. The workflow aspect alone has saved me thousands of dollars. UBER PROPS TO APPLE!!!
However we have had to settle for sub par RAW conversions and poor color accuracy compared to CaptureOne, ACR, CaputreNX (i use nikon gear). I would pay over $1000 for Aperture to have the Conversion quality of any of these apps.
Anyone who agrees to the following speak up!
1. Apple, please focus your efforts on Nikon and Canon DSLRs. Perferably the Pro line down. People who can afford the hardware required to run Aperture will most likey have one if not more of these cameras. This is a Top End Pro app. Every Pro I know shoots with atleast a Canon or Nikon DSLR. Tifs from Medium format backs work fine for now.
2. It would make me feel better if Apple would express PARTNERSHIP not just support with Nikon and Canon to make the fastest and best RAW converter out there! Get their code and algorithms if you have to raise the price of Aperture to "licence" it, I will be happy to pay for it!
3. I want Photoshop and Aperture to be the only 2 apps we need as pro photographers.
I don't know if this will make any difference but please Vote if you agree with the above!
Maybe Apple will listen.

So you guys are saying that you don't have any problems with color accuracy? The white balance processing is not nearly as accurate as any of the other programs also any fine detail eg hair, cloth weave and other things isn't rendered as clear as it is in ACR. Also shawdow detail gets very blockly..like fine detail such as hair does. Gradation into highlight areas sometimes becomes "solarized looking" when its not in other processing software. When bringing down hightlights you sometimes get a pixely crosshatch pattern in the affected area.
But at anyrate my overall biggest complaint is white balance accuracy even with a grey card there's still a tint of Green or Red that i can't quite get balanced within aperture colors don't fall in line as well as they do with ACR. When doing product and fasion photography this is a big issue as color management needs to be consistent and closely monitored. Aperture also chokes on Mixed lighting conditions. Loosing reds at lower color temperatures when in other programs it compensates however it needs to. Whatever adobe does color wise is 10x better than what Aperature is doing. also recovering highlights. CaptureNX is even better with color rendering but very cluncky. I know this is very nit picky stuff but it does matter. I shouldn't have to super tweak color from a controled light source "IE strobes". The light renders properly on film and the files render properly when processed in any other program the color is dead on with a simple eyedropper click. Again it gets very close but not as close as others. Right now i'm telling myself its good enough and I'm hoping that apple will address the color conversions when setting the white point....one of the main reasons of shooting raw.
and as stated above get Canon and Nikon cameras rock solid on raw processing not just good enough.
