Peoplebooks HCM 9.1 issue

Hi all,
I noticed in the [Peoplebooks HCM 9.1|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28727_01/hcm91fp2/eng/psbooks/index.htm] ), that the Workforce Development section shows the peoplebooks related to the Enterprise Learning Module, while the Workforce Development in the application contains 'Performance Management, Career Planning, Profile Management...'
What am I missing?

Now mine is installed in the different folders. Which is wrong, application must be installed in the same folder of Peopletools.

HCM - IDM Integration issues

Hello Experts,
I am working on the HCM & IDM Integration and I have done the configurations on HCM & VDS as per the Systems Landscape document.
When I Run the export query from the HCM, The data is not coming to the staging area.
I have turned on the Operational log trace and reran the query and found the following is logged in the logs. But it is not of much help to understand why the roll back is happening.
Could anyone face such kind of error earlier ? Any thoughts on how to proceed further !!

Yes, I am using PERNR to calculate my MSKEYVALUE. But I believe in the current issue, it is not going to that stage at all.
1. When we run the extract programme from HCM, VDS first writes the data to HCM_Staging_Area identity store to the MX_HCM_EMPLOYEE entry type.
2. When this happens, based on the event tasks defined on MX_HCM_EMPLOYEE type attribute, the job "Write HCM Employee To SAP Master" will be triggered where the MSKEYVALUE is calculated and be written to Master ID store.
In the current scenario,VDS is not writing the data to HCM_Staging_Area at all.
When examined, the logs i got entry rejection as mentioned the screenshot in my initial post.

HCM BI Landscape Issue

Hi,
We are implementing R3 HCM and BI HCM in parallel.
HCM and BI are in the same box for sandbox, dev, qa and prod as well.
Any inputs on such a landscape, interms of performance, administration issues etc ?
Have you faced any issues when R3 and BI co-exist in the same box ?
Expert advice needed pls.

Hi Vaishali,
I had the same experience but not in Production. Definitely u can expect some performance problems becoz No. of R/3 users will be much more than BW users who always work on the system. For this type of systems its better to run BI jobs in the background and non-working hours of R/3 users.

HCM PnF - "Send" button missing while saving the form as Draft

Hi All,
We are facing an issue in HCM PnF.
Issue is - Whenever we are saving the form as Draft and later on when we open it and try to send it, the "Send" button is missing.

I think u are viewing the Display Form Records, When you select the Record in the Draft status then it just opens the form which just gives the option to view not to check and send.
You have the select the Record from the Above tabel (UWL) which will open the appln which will be having the different buttons in different view of Process..

MSS Requisition Error for a different logon language

Hi Friends,
Need your help related to eRecruitment.
The issue is: when the manager is trying to create a requisition via MSS Simple Requisition Request form he can not able to see the recruiter details in the drop down in the designated recruiters field when the Logon language is set to PT(Portugal)
when we change the logon language on the same person to EN then he can able to see the recruiter details of the recruiter in the drop down in the designated recruiters field.
Could any one of you help me to fix this issue please..

Issue with SAP_PD Service in HCM Forms

Hi Experts,
I am facing this issue when trying to create/update a Position using HCM Forms.
We have the HCM_ASR_CL_2 Business Function Activated
We are on EHP4.
I am trying to create/update a position using forms - SAP_PD Service and facing the below mentioned issue -
When I am trying to add the Object Type S in the LEAD_OBJECT_ID, I get the error - Object type S not supported.
As a workaround that I got from a help.sap - 3.In the navigation pane, go toValidity Period.Enter Start Object Type as S = Job, enter Application Type as PD. - Even this workaround doesnt work!
Am I missing some config here?
Also, once we activate the Business Function - do we get the node for SAP_PD in IMG just as we have for SAP_PA and SAP_PT service?

Decimal Issue while posting annual salary using HCM P&F

Hello All
We are facing a strange problem while updating the Annual Salary of Infotype 0008 using HCM P&F. User in the form can enter a wage type amount, based on this wage type amount the annual salary is getting calculated by the std. way.
Now the problem here is, say we are passing Hourly wages as 55.000 USD3, the annual salary should have been updated as 114400.00 USD (i.e. 55 * 2080 Hours Annually). But after the posting when we see the annual salary amount it is displayed as 11440.00 USD (Strange!! It is divided by 10 ). But the wage type amount is properly displayed as 55.000 USD3 in PA20. All the other infotypes are updated correctly with the new pay structure and work schedule details correctly.
Appreciate your help, if any of you have come across this issue before.

Been down this road before.
Pretty much it is exactly as said....decimal for currency issue. Some currencies use 2 decimal places...some use 4...and better yet, SAP allows you to even configure your own if needed.
Now, how did WE solve this. We tore apart (debugging) the actual code SAP uses in PA30 when showing/editting/updating Basic Pay. You will see in there how they work the "magic". Oddly.....the look at the decimal setting, multiply it out in the background to store correctly but pull a "switch-a-roo" on the front end to display it correctly as the user would expect (ie 4 decimals for example). It's pretty crazy stuff.
But we got it working....via code in our own generic service......and it worked like a charm.

Try to have a clear understanding of requirements and find the best solution in SAP. Keep as much as possible everything standard and based on SAP best practices.
In PA look for a comprehensive enterprise structure. It's base for everything.
DON"T do anything through development(ABAP code) as much as possible specially in PT and PY. Try to do claculation by PCRs and Schema.

HCM Process & Forms: Date & Time Stamp issue in Prev Comments Box

We implemented HCM Process and Forms and we are in EHP4. We need user name, date and time stamp in each step for audit purpose.
Form Process Example:
Step1: Manager -> Initiates a Form for employee pay/position changes (REQUEST)
Step2: 1-Up Manager -> Approves a Form for employee pay/position changes (APPROVE)
Step3: HR Admin -> Process a Form for employee pay/position changes (PROCESS)
Process Overview: HR Admin can open a form once all steps are completed and they want to see all 3 steps date & stamp here.
New Comments -> To enter user comments in each step. Used data type HRASR_CURRENT_NOTE
Previous Comments-> To display prev. step / user's comments including user name, date & time. Used data type HRASR_PREVIOUS_NOTES.
I tried all different property settings in the form. May be I am still missing some property settings here.
Issue: If user enters any comments in "New Comments" box then only date & time stamp is coming along with their comments in "Previous Comments" otherwise not showing anything, just blank in the Prev. Comments. I added some code in form script in case no data in "New Comments" then default a value ":" . It is working fine for first step but not working the same for other 2 steps.
Trying in different way:
Creating 3 text fields in a form just for display purpose and modifying each field (data set) with some text (combination of user name, system date and time) at each stage/step in a BADI.
Method: IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~DO_OPERATIONS
Here it is updating correctly for first step/stage (REQUEST) and other 2 fields are not updating accordingly. I did debug for each step and updating the data set correctly but finally not dispalying the valuse in a form except first field.
Can someone please share your ideas or inputs.

As I explained in my post, user details with date & stamp are coming when user enters some comments otherwise it is blank., All users may not enter comments because it is not a "required".
HR is needed this for audit purpose, just at end of the process they need to see all user names, date & stamp in the form. Forget about comment boxes, Can't we make just simple text fields with user details for each step (all 3 stages)?

PeopleSoft SES Configuration issue (PT:8.53.04 and Application HCM:9.2)

I have installed and configured PeopleSoft SES in my own machine.But When I am going to search anything through PIA I am getting issue. One issue is describing below:( Issue for any kind of search)
I have searched with keyword "corporate" in my PIA page and all the link came and After that I have clicked any link like her I clicked "Career Plan - Cynthia Adams | Empl ID: KU0101".
But the page is not opening. Can anybody please tell me the solution?

OS: Windows 7 64 Bit

Pls change Contenent URI Text and Portal URI Text of all the relevand locl nodes (portal tab). Re-generate the search indexes after doing this. You may to at least do this for PSFT_HR and HRMS nodes.

Authorization issue on hire action through HCM Process and Forms

Hi All,
We are executing hiring action through HCM form process. The process is using the HR_PL_ADMINISTRATOR role on ECC which is super admin access to execute the action and HR administrator role on the portal. If we restrict the role with personal area, we do not see the hire process on the portal.
Could you please let me know if anyone has faced this issue?

We have HR_PL_ADMINISTRATOR_000 role. The role has P_ASRCONT P_ORGIN and P_PERNR object. Object P_ORGIN needs to be set as
Authorization level            Read
Infotype                           *
Personnel Area                *
Employee Group              *
Employee Subgroup         *
Subtype                           *
Organizational Key            *
in order to show the Hire Process in execute hiring link on the Portal. If we put a restriction on personal area, we do not see the Hire process on the execute hiring on the portal.

HCM P&F workflow issue

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue in HCM P&F wokflow.
I am working on Employee Transfer scenario. So I copied the standard Process ORG_CHANGE and made the changes in Workflow, Form scenario and Form according to my reqirement . But when the Reciever manager opens the form it is throwing one error like" Error reading in process object" . But the form is not blank, it has the text elements,buttons etc.I am stuck here and dont know how to move further.
Process Object in Workflow container the following properties
Type CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT, properties:IMPORT , initial value :CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT
Name :POBJ
Does anybody know the reason for this error?

But the First manager can see the data in the Form . The problem occurs in the second activity in workflow. That means, at the Receiving manager stage. The data what First manager fills in the form is not passing to the Second activity.

Any known issues with HCM 9.2.006 PUM image?

I am facing issue with the HCM 9.2 Demo image. It tries to create the virtual disks. When its creating the 4th disk, it hangs after creating about 10GB.
Is there any workaround for this issue or re-downloading will help? I have downloaded it a week back.

Your title has a question that I'll answer below. (Then you describe an issue that I'm not sure is impacted by either of these issues.)
One is unique to OVM and occurs when there are more than 4 disks. The default mode is PVM and that only supports 4 disks. So it is necessary to edit the VM to use PVM drivers AND SAVE, since PVM will support more than 4 disks. (I believe this was documented in the installation notes.) Note: if you simply view the configuration ***but do not save it with the PVM selected***, you loose the 5th disk. Recover by re-importing the template.
The second issue is related to the swap volume. There was a bug where the swap was attempted to be mounted by label and the label was incorrect, hence no swap. That is fixed in bug 18546213. The fix is to mount SWAP-VM as the swap volume in /etc/fstab.

Issue with the Task TS17900100 in HCM p & f - Transaction brackets damaged

Hi Experts,
We have a custom HCM processes & forms which updates the backend INFTY as the result of execution of Step Process Forms - with the Workflow Task TS17900100
This works absolutely fine in the DEV System. But when I transported the workflow in the QA environment it worked fine for the first time.
Ever since then we are getting follow issue -
The backend INFTY does not get updated.
On further checkin in SWIA we found that step with the task TS17900100 ( Process Form ) fails and throws the following error
1.Transaction brackets of the workflow has been damaged
2.Exit CL_HRASR00_POBJ_WF_EXIT triggered exeception for event STATE_CHG and (target) status STARTED
3.Error updating the process object
Would appreciate if I can get any help in this regards.

Hello,
Make sure the wf is active in QA (re-activate if possible), check the transport for errors, check authorizations for WF-BATCH perhaps delete and recreate via SWU3?), refresh the buffers (SWU_OBUF).

Issue with HCM Forms

Hi
We are implementing HCM Forms and Process. We have landscape EP7 SP18 and ECC6 with HR600.
We have done all the Adobe configuration, credential. All the test are successful on portal and R/3.
But we are not able to see adobe form on portal,when we select process (standard/custom) it ends with dump ie
'Connection Time out' / pdfobjectruntimeexception: Failed to updatedatainpdf
Please give your inputs if you have faced this issue. Also can I use upgraded packages in portal (WD Abap applications);let me know the versions for both HRAdmin and ECC HR.
