PeopleSoft Basic transaction

Hi everyone,
My system: Windows Server 2008 R2 ; Oracle DB 11g ; PT 8.52 ; PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and Campus Solutions 9.0 - Revision 5 ;
I install the system and is up and running. I can login with user PS/PS .
Now I have to create a simple transaction because I have to monitor this system.
But a lot of the tabs are not working and I can only add Favorites.
What I can do to create a simple transaction. I need a very simple thing .

When I execute this step :
7. Load PeopleTools Messages and Data Project
7.1. Logon to Data Mover in bootstrap mode as the database owner using PT 8.52.12
7.2. Run <PS_HOME>\scripts\msgtlsupg.dms to load the updated messages into your database.
I receive this error what to do ??? :

[TEM] Allowing Basic Transaction maintenance of Relationship IT.

Hello Experts,
User wants to allow creation of relationship A025/B025 (is attended by/takes part in) between Business Events (E) and Person (P) using Basic Transaction. (PP01 or PP02)
I've check the "No maint" in T778V in the Allowed Relationship for E to P on A025 and its counterpart B025.
Time constrainst for each relationship subtype A025 and B025 for E is also set up.
However when I try to create the relationship in PP02. E 1001 A025 P, I am getting the error:
"Protected tab titles are not supported (tab TABSTR_025 title TAB1)"
Points to those who can help.

(despite of your name you don't seem to be that clueless ) )
I have done a research and found some other customer messages dealing with the same problem within SAP.
The fact is, that the relationship 025 cannot be maintained via basic transactions (pp01, etc.) in our standard, but in the transactions of Training and Event
Management.
'Protected' in this case means, that the flag 'input' for the pushbutton of the tabstrip is set to 0. For a normal pushbutton this is allowed, but not for a pushbutton which is the title of a tabstrip. As a solution, you need to reset the attributes in the PBO.
I have found additionally an SAP note: 185036 -> Transaction variants for TabStrip controls
According to these modifications I also would like to warn you that the changes and the side-effects wont be supported by the SAP.. This must be considered before doing changes.

I assume that you are using either Event Management to collect the load/unload events OR your manually entering this data onto the Freight Unit?
If the answer to the above information is correct, then it would depend where you are storing this data. Are you adding the data to the Freight Orders or to the Freight Units? If you are using FOs then some of the fields might be present on the FO work list and you could create a query/view there to view this data. There is also a work list on the FWO side but it would only contain a summary of the FUs. That is due to the one to many relationship between FWOs and FUs.
You might be better off building an ALV report to gather the fields that you need. Alternatively this could be done in SQVI but it is more limited.
An alternative to all of this if your using Event Management, is that you could produce a report in EM to give you this information. This however would only be possible if you are sharing all of the info that you need in the report with EM.

Basic JDBC transactional question

Hello all,
I have (what I believe) is a basic transactional JDBC question.
Here's what I want to do:
begin transaction
select a row from a table where (some condition).
that row may or may not exist.
if the row exists: update the row
else if the row does not exist, insert a new row
end transaction
I want this entire thing to be atomic .. I don't want the select to complete, then have something else come in there before the update/insert takes place.
I'm using MySQL .. I seem to remember hearing about some proprietary MySQL command which would do a SELECT + UPDATE atomically .. which would be fine, but I can't find it.
Wrapping this with a row-level lock would be fine too .. I'm just not sure how to do that in JDBC.

By thte way, and not that it helps the orignal poster, who's using MySQL, but Oracle has a proprietary MERGE statement that does "insert or update" in one go. For example:
MERGE INTO bonuses D
   USING (SELECT employee_id, salary, department_id FROM employees

Error in Invoking peoplesoft component interfaces from BPEL process

I developed a sample bpel process to invoke peoplesoft component interfaces.
I followed the steps mentioned in the document.

Can anyone help in sending the right input xml to component interface?

I do the same thing.
Take wsdl from axis and save it somewhere.
Then you can create a standard project in Oracle BPEL PM. Create partnerlink, give a name and click on first icon to take your wsdl. It will add some needed code, you answer always yes. Then you can create receive, assign, invoke, assign and callback or similar and deploy it.
Try it through BPEL Console...

[IWAF JCA PeopleSoft] **** Error in parsing the input document.

Hi,
I configured Peoplesoft Adapter 10.1.3.1 with Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.1, I am able to invoke BPEL from Peoplesoft using JCA configurtaion. But I am not able to invoke Peoplesoft component interface from BPEL PM, Invoke call fails with following error. Did any one know solution to this issue.

I tried your suggestion, but it didn't help. I think the Ci jar file is getting loaded, because when I try to call any other interface whos class files are not included in CI jar file, it gives different error like "Not Authorized (90,6)Failed to execute PSSession request Cannot find Component Interface {LACATION_TABLE} (91,2)".
We verified all the configuration on Adapter and Peoplesoft aerver, every thing seems to be absolutely fine, even I turned on debug log level for adapter but that is not of any use.
I tried searching on the google, it seems many people who used Component Interface Java Classes faced such type of problem, they recommended some peoplesoft configuration, I tried their suggestions as well, but that also didn't work out.
Even though we are using Peoplesoft 8.4 Adapter asks for pstools.properties file whenever the BPEL Process is invoked, this file is there in the adapters lib directory, and jca-app-adapter directory, see below the log.

How to get the transactional codes.

Hi all ,
I have just started working in the SAP HR and have been referring to the hep.sap.com. I have started off with the Personal Administration and i found that the help.sap.com does not provide the transaction related to the module. Is there anyway we can find the transactions related to each submodule of PA which would help me learn the module better.

It's good to have an idea of all the Transaction codes... but how many can you remember or how many will you access is something thats difficult to ascertain.....
It is suggested that you start working in SAP with the basic transaction codes and over the period of time you will have an idea of all the transaction codes demanded by the work...
Do not strain yourself at the very start... The Big thing is yet to come.......

BDC on transaction CV02N handling the Custom Control

Hi Guru's,
I am developing a BDC program for the transaction CV02N. This transaction is for Changing the document link. Here I need to delete the existing Document links and create the new ones.
I am facing the issue for Deleting the document links. The custom control has the links for each document. I need to select each document link in the custom control then delete it. But the BDC recording is not showing this selection of document links in the custom control, If I write the program using the recording, it is stopping me at the time of pressing the delete button, and giving the message make the selection.
I dont know how to handle this custom control's in BDC program. Please help me.

Use the [search tool for CV02NBDC|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=cv02nBDC] and then [for CV02NBAPI|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=cv02nBAPI] (look for BAPI_DOCUMENT*)
Basically, transaction ending with "N" are Enjoy, and not fully suitable for BDC, so look for BAPI, or sometimes for older version of the transaction, without the trailing "N" (til they become obsolete)

Transactional InfoCubes differ from Basic InfoCubes in their ability to support parallel write accesses which means data can be written to the infocube by several users at the same time . Basic InfoCubes are technically optimized for read accesses only.
Transactional infocubes are used for planning purposes.Basic cubes are not used for planning purposes.

Call To BP transactions

Hi Experts,
I am trying to call the transactions with the call transaction statement , but only basic transaction is opening and not the transaction with corresponding ativity number.
Is there any program or function module that call the transactions BP with perticular id.

How to log on to SAP GUI 6.4?

after installing SAP gui 6.4 i have to log on into sap
i read many Documents that says i have to copy a saplogon.ini
to the SAP directory when i copy this file in description
i have logon names.when i logon with one of them i have to connect to Internet and have a username and password.
but i want to make logon without connect to internet.
what should i do?

Hi Javad,
the server installations I mentioned are compete insofar as you can run them and connect to the server using SAP GUI. You can also run the basic transactions and do ABAP development.
I assume when you say 'complete system' you mean including all business applications. This is not available as some sort of download, and I don't think it's feasible to set this up just for testing.

2 transformations into a cube

Hi everyone,
I need some help from experienced guys!
I am doing 2 transformations from 2 different DSOs into a cube,
one of them loads basic transactional data, which is fine,
but the other one should be populating one of the fields in the cube (Vendor), depending on the key fields (batch number and reference) matching with the corresponding record.
Instead of populating the existing records with additional data, it inserts new separate records with that data...
What am i doing wrong and how should i do my second transformation so that it only inserts the Vendor name into the right record?
