PeopleSoft SES integration

Hi,
I have integrated the Finance application with OSES and peoplesoft search framework is working fine.
Now I want to integrate ELM application also with the OSES.
Can it possible to integrate the ELM application with the same OSES or do I need to install one more OSES for ELM application?
If possible what are alll the steps I need to perform on the OSES side?
Your help on this is highly appreciated.

Yes, it is possible and nothing is needed on SES side. Just create a search instance in ELM, same way you did for FIS and start deploying the definitions and scheduling the indexes. Remember , on search instance the callback URL would be for ELM environment not FIS. SES will maintain defintions from both FIS and ELM environments. Also , authentication will only be from one source, either a PS environment or an AD or whatever you are already using.

I have installed and configured PeopleSoft SES in my own machine.But When I am going to search anything through PIA I am getting issue. One issue is describing below:( Issue for any kind of search)
I have searched with keyword "corporate" in my PIA page and all the link came and After that I have clicked any link like her I clicked "Career Plan - Cynthia Adams | Empl ID: KU0101".
But the page is not opening. Can anybody please tell me the solution?

Application : HCM 9.2
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
Database: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production

Pls change Contenent URI Text and Portal URI Text of all the relevand locl nodes (portal tab). Re-generate the search indexes after doing this. You may to at least do this for PSFT_HR and HRMS nodes.

[Help] Search Instance Properties Setup in PT8.52 for SES integration

Hello,
I've got an issue for the Search Instance Properties to integrated with SES in PeopleTools 8.52. Here's the Scenario of my testing environment:
I've installed 2 VM on VMWare soft as following:
*1.* a.mydomain.com - using NAT as the VMWare NIC protocal, Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 with DNS & Active Domain Controller installed, PT8.52.06 with FSCM 9.1 FP2 installed (all Database server, App Server, Batch Server, Web Server, File Server in one box) - PIA working fine
*2.* b.mydomain.com - using NAT as the VMWare NIC protocal, Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 as memeber of the mydomain.com, the SES installed and the SES is working fine.
Below is what the check list I've gone so far to following the Search Framework setup:
Then I followed the instructions from PT8.52 installation guide for Oracle, Chapter 11. For the check list prior to the implementing the Search Framework,
SES installed & running - passed - I can open the http://b.mydomain.com:17777/ page (changed the default port from 7777 to 17777)
PeopleSoft configuration - Database, App Server, Process Server - Running, PIA working fine, Background process posted, etc.
IB configuration - Load the gateway, update the domain status, Gateway App Server Node / Default Node updated - Ping Successfully
As following the installation guide, create new trust entity on SES site, update Timeout value
Also validate the App Server with at least 2 PSAPPSERV (Actually 2 or 3), Pub/Sub is enabled as well - PSRENSRV (with Auth Token enabled as well)
Creating a new User PSOFT to included both the 3 Search Framework Role of Developer, Admin and Server.
Validate the Local Default Node (Note: Renamed the default local node from PSFT_EP to MY_NODE), Gateway ID is LOCAL, and Connector ID is PSFTTARGET for the node.
And in the Gateway properties page, the secureFileKeyStorePath is default path, secureFileKeyStorePassword is encrypted via the tool below with the value of "mypwd".
Node Portal info such as Content URI and Portal URI updated. - Node can ping success
Service of ADMINSERVICE & ORACLESEARCHSERVICE exists
Then I create a new Search Instance under the Search Instance page from PIA, (Named PSSES)
Below is the value setup on the page:
Search Enginee Detail:
SSL: Disabled
Host: b.mydomain.com
Port: 17777
Admin Service Credentials:
User: eqsys
Password: <password> setup during the SES installation
Query Service Credentials:
Proxy: the new created trust entity name on SES global settings
Password: password for the new trust entity on SES global settings
Call Back properties:
URL: http://a.mydomain.com/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector/MY_NODE
User Name: PSOFT
Password: <password> for PSOFT
Then Save, after saved, the test Ping button appearred, and when I click the Ping button to test search enginee b.mydomain.com at *17777*, it show the following error:
Cannot establish HTTP connection (158, 2842)
Can be caused by any of the following:
*1. Cannot load certificates due to keystore password (not encrypted)*
*2. Keystore file not found.*
*3. Proxy server not configured.*
Then I checked the following, and looks to me all are correct.
I've checked the Gateway properties page, and the secureFileKeyStorePassword is encrypted as something {V1.}xxxxxx= value
I've also check the pskey file is under the a.mydomain.com server, also to ensure the access, add addition permission on the file with everyone read permission.
For Proxy, not sure if this is needed, and if so, how to setup? I don't think there's any proxy server needed under my test case.
My PIA Url: http://a.mydomain.com/XXX/signon.html
My SES Url: http://b.mydomain.com:17777/
Both the URL can be accessed from Firefox directly from a server and b server. But from the PeopleSoft Search Instance Properties page, the test Ping failed.
Please help to give any hints on this issue.

Thanks for your reply, I follow the same as you posted in your blog, the only difference is that I didn't installed a MS Loopback adapter.
Yes, the keystore full path contain all the windows drive, folder and the key filename as well.
I may find out the issue, the pskey file does exist under the %PIA_HOME%/webserv/psft/piaconfig/keystore folder, but I found the last updated date is 3/16/2004, even I grant everyone permission on pskey file with write/modify rights, after I do some change in Gateway Properties from PIA page, the pskey file didn't get the last modified date updated, still the old 2004 date.
It should be the issue with related to this file not update. Do you have any idea how to get it update? Currently it seems the modification on PIA page for gateway property didn't auto update this file. Even I change the new of pskey to pskeyNew, but no pskeyNew files found under that folder after saved from PIA page.

PeopleSoft Financials integration

Hi All,
I have a requirement of integrating PeopleSoft Financial with OIM and am at loss about it. I read through the OIM PeopleSoft User Management Connector guide and am not sure whether it supports the provisioning of users from OIM to PS Finance. As far as I understand, the user management connector is for the HRMS part of the people soft and that provisioning to PS Finance would require a custom connector. Am I correct in my understanding?
Or if when we say "Provision a user to PS Finance" does it implies that we add specific roles to the user while provisioning to the PS User Management and that would be sufficient? If this is correct then does the PeopleSoft User Management connector support provisioning of roles? The connector doc talks about USER_PROFILE and DELETE_USER_PROFILE component interfaces but as I understand, ROLE_MAINT component interface is required for the Role Management at PS.

The PeopleSoft User Management Connector supports provisioning to all the various pillars. You just wont be able to provision the EMPLID field which links back to the person table if you dont have them integrated together like that. They all perform in the same way in use the same Component Interfaces for their actions. As long as you can connect to the integration broker, you should be able to validate the functions work correctly. You'll need to obtain the information as far as permissions lists go, and roles available, but it should be fine. I've configured provisioning to CRM, Financials, LMS, HRMS, and another one i can't think of the name off hand, just by duplicating the connector and changing the connection information.

I tried integrating using the App integrator but all in vain. Perhaps i am not using the correct parameters.

1) Has anyone used Oracle Warehouse Builder for ETL in conjunction with PeopleSoft EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) Data Warehouse?

You need to import data from EBS database to OBI data base through DAC and the u need to give connection to OBI database in Admin tool and it works

Peoplesoft Enterprise Integration with Oracle Portal 10g

I am looking for documentation which explains the steps in detail on how to integrate peoplesoft Enterprise with Oracle portal. SES Integration with EBS - Are MOAC Data Security Constraints Applied?

We are implementing SES at a client in order to allow document searching within their e-Business Suite Oracle Contracts Module. The client uses multi-organisation access control (MOAC) in order to restrict the data available to the multiple Operating Units (OUs) that they have on the platform.
I wanted to know if SES is restricted by the Security Groups we have in place that restrict data from being shown in different OUs?
For example: OU A belongs to Security Group A, and OU B belongs to Security Group B (the security groups are set so that the OUs data are separate). When a User from OU A searches with SES with a term that applies to a document in OU B - is the document from OU B shown, thereby ignoring the security group rules set in EBS?
If anyone has some experience with this please could you advise

Hi,
Contracts Objects have security enabled and obeys MOAC rules fro EBS. We have org_id field as security enabled for all our objects.
So user should be seeing only data from their Org setup.

SES integration with Oracle WMS

1) How do we dispatch the events from the SES database (SDR, EDGE
SCHEMA) To the EBS WMS Module, such that when an item in an order is

You will need to call WMS APIs in EBS from SES. There are multiple options available ranging from simple to complex and it also depends on what dispatcher you are using. The simplest option is to call WMS APIs using event flow dispatcher. You need to specify the WMS data source in data-sources.xml and specify which API gets called under what circumstances in event flow XML. For more complex needs you could potentially use other dispatchers such as streams dispatcher and use other fusion middleware components such as BPEL, BRM, etc to call WMS APIs.

Peoplesoft uses mainframes and we cannot use JDBC ...JDBC adapter is used to read the records from the table,
If your Landscape has Tibco/MQ you can ask the Peoplesoft team to run the Job Card to post the messages in the Queue of Tibco/MQ from there with the help of JMS adapter you can read the message and pass to PI.

PEOPLESOFT Time & Labor TO PRIMAVERA P6 INTEGRATION

Recently came across an Oracle data sheet on PEOPLESOFT PROJECTS (ESA) TO PRIMAVERA P6 INTEGRATION, In this data sheet I found the following information:
"Primavera P6 timesheet data can also flow into PeopleSoft Time & Labor via the existing integration between PeopleSoft Expenses time entry and PeopleSoft Time & Labor"
Does anyone have any information on PeopleSoft Time and Labor and Primavera P6 timesheet data integration as mentioned above and the steps to be performed for this integration to get working?

So the flow is Primavera -> PeopleSoft Expenses > PeopleSoft Time & Labor

Peopletools 8.52 and SES configuration

This is a fresh SES installation with Demo database Peopletools 8.52 and HCM 9.1. With RDBMS Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 (unicode database).
I downloaded the software from edelivery and installed complete installation using the reference guide.

After performing all the steps in the chapter, It failed in the verification when performing the peopletools> search framework > administration> diagnostics
It fails in deployment stage.

I saw one support article 1478247.1 and verified the password are same in Peoplesoft and SES. But still seeing the error.

Also I created a SR with Oracle support, As this one is not in Production, it may take few days to address. If anyone had similar issues and resolved, please respond. Thanls.

Like the MOS doc says your already found verify if you use the correct password in PeopleSoft and SES for the Federated trusted entity.
Also after I had configured PeopleSoft & SES, I was able to deploy the search indexes, but no search results were returned regardless of what I was searching.
My issue was that I had defined the HTTPS target location on the service configuration whereas PIA was not configured for HTTPS.
Feed framework was sending the header in HTTP, but the search details were defined as HTTPS.
After removing the HTTPS target location in PeopleSoft and rebuilding the search index I was able to get search result.

I have configured Peoplesoft SES as per all the documents shared by everybody in my own machine. But I am facing one issue after search I am not able to go that component.
can you please tell me what is the reason behind this?

Application : HCM 9.2
Machine : Windows 7 64 Bit

In case you come back here - make sure that the HRMS node in Integration Broker has the Portal tab configured with the URI, same as your local node. There is an entry on MOS mentioning this (sometimes wotu will see an error in the lower left of the browser status bar, sometimes not, but clicking a link returned on the search won't do anything).
Barring that, also make sure that both the SES master user doing the crawl and the oprid you are using to search has access to the page and data.

ERP INTEGRATOR and FDM

We have new requirement our Source is PeopleSoft from that we want to load data to essbase and planning using ERP Integrator
Previously we use to get text files from Peoplesoft and we use to load it FDM to Planing & Essbase
What are prerequisites to connect to Peoplesoft -> ERP Integrator -> FDM
Do we require ODI to connect to Peoplesoft ?
Can anyone explain me the flow

1. Hyperion 11.1.2.2 Essbase ,Planning and FDM
2.ODI 11g
3.Now we want to Connect to Peoplesoft using ODI -> ERPi -> FDM ->Essbase and Planning
One is connecting ERPi & FDM through the use of the appropriate adapter, and additional metadata information.
If possible can u explain the above clearly
