Windows XP is no more supported than Vista as a Peoplesoft server.
Install VMWare, a Linux OS (like OEL), Oracle and PS.

Having upgraded to Firefox 24 it will now not start at all after clicking on the icon. My OS is Windows Vista premium. It will start in safe mode.

Upgraded to Firefox 24 and now nothing at all works despite uninstalling and reinstalling it several times and losing all my bookmarks etc. However it does start in safe mode. At first I thought it was my security Norton 360 but after 2 hours in contact with them I'm still in the same position. When I double click on the Firefox icon I can see the cursor timing out and then it just disappears and nothing loads.

i just bought windows vista premium from microsoft market place then tried to download it .... not working ... please advise

In order to install Windows Vista using Boot Camp on a Mac you will need the disk version, as the install process will not be able to read the downloaded files from the Mac drive.
If the download hasn't downloaded then you may wish to check with Microsoft.

ITunes being rubbish with Windows Vista Premium

Anybody with Vista Premium having a problem with iTunes 7??? Mine is rediculously slow when i impport anything and takes about 20 minutes to update my iPod with 1 song in which i can't do anything in iTunes! It just locks up until it's done it....
I have an Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB of memory and it worked a treat on Windows XP.... Just for some reason it won't run properly on Vista....
Any Ideas?????????

Hi, You didn't say what version of IE you use or if you are using another browser also. Did you Uninstall before Installing and did you Install into IE or?
Also have you had any virus? If so which Anti-Virus program removed it?
Do you have any other Anti-Virus/Spyware program in addition to AVG?

Converting InDesign CS3 document to HTML - windows vista premium

I have created a beautiful (for me) document that I want to post on several blogs. I have been told it needs to be in HTML but I do not see any options on the file menu to export as an HTML. What do I do.
(I tried exporting it as a PDF and then providing a link in the blog but the problem is that it is a large (3mb) and it takes a "long" time to load, and if any of the links are accessed, when you go back to the PDF it has to reload which is frustrating for anybody that wants to study the document.

You can't export the document directly to HTML, but you can use the Cross-Media Export to make and XHTML file for Dreamweaver (or other editor). It will generate an HTML page and a blank CSS style sheet, as well as gathering the images, but web and print are entirely different formats so you won't have anything resembling your ID doc when you get through, as far as layout is concerned. If you want people to see your layout as is, you need to use PDF. Try changing the compression settings for the export to bring the size down, but it will be a compromise somewhere most likely.

Let's try it this way.
While in Control Panel in the top right hand corner should be a search box.
In the search box type "Auto Play" and then the options you are presented with should include "Change default setting for media or devices"

Hello jmills74, When the system boots and you see the HP Logo, start tapping the F-11 key and you should enther the HP Recovery Restore Utility. If you manage to get to the HP Recovery Restore Utility, select the destructive method and the hard drive will be formatted and all the data removed.
The original software would be installed and the system should reboot.
When the system boots, you would need to enter all the information as you did when you first got the system.
All the data that has been added to the system will be lost.

I'm trying to install Tuxedo 9.1 on my laptop within Windows vista premium
I get this message "This application has unexpectedly quit. Invocation of this Java application
has caused an Invocation TargetException. This application will now exit(LAX)"
This error is due to null pointer exception.

I'm not sure what the differences are between Vista Premium and Vista Business, but I believe Tuxedo 9.1 has only been certified on Vista Premium. Is the Windows system a 32 bit or 64 bit system? In any case, this would be something to contact Oracle support about. I know at one point some of the Tuxedo installers had difficulty with certain JVMs, although I think they mostly now include their own JRE.

am using a Dell XPS GEN 5 PC with Windows Vista Premium Edition as the current OS installed. I have latested up date for Itunes and QuickTime (7.1.6) Installed. I have recently bought and downloaded 3 of the Original Star Trek Tv Shows from Itunes. When I try and play one of them, they don't work. The Screen comes up, the show starts, then stops. Sometimes the sound keeps on playing, and then stops. Sometimes it just dosent even come on. I'm guessing (as a highly advanced Windows PC User) That this ia a "video/playback issue, related to a Apple/Vista Compatibility problem. I would like help solving this problem.

good lord. are you getting any sort of blue screen? if so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)

That is unfortunate and may now be dated. I recently bought a laptop with Windows Vista Premium as OS. At work, I did try to logon wirelessly to apps server. I could logon to the applications. But when the applet starts running, IE7 tried to download the JInitiator and it took a very long time to complete. Thinking it is in hung state and going nowhere, I closed the window and downloaded JInitiator from OTN. Installed it and then tried accessing apps. No luck. The browser restarts and goes back to the browser's default home page. The same happened with Firefox 2.0 also.
Finally, I tried Netscape browser 8.1 and after prolonged patient waiting, it worked. But did not work in IE7 and Firefox 2.0. I suspect it may be something to do with the firewall settings. I am now planning on uninstalling Firefox 2.0 and reinstalling it.
Bottomline, I could access apps via the applet using Netscape browser 8

The same problem with Windows Vista 64bit-iTouch not recognized by iTunes

Happy Holidays, all. I was just hoping that someone had come up with a fix to the problem with iTouch and Windows Vista Premium (64bit). All I get is a picture of the plug pointing to the iTunes image on my iTouch, can't even see the regular icons yet. The device is not picked up by iTunes, either. Tried reinstalling iTunes, the whole bit. Thought I'd try one more time to get a fix before returning the product. By the way, if you ever finally do get through to Apple Tech Support, they'll act like they have never heard of the problem (at least the guy I spoke with did. He wasn't very nice or very helpful). Anyway, good luck and thanks.

I have I think the same issue. iTunes can see a Nano but not an iTouch. Vista see the device when I plug it in, but no luch with iTunes. I ended up using a old laptop with XP which is slow and out of hard drive space, so I need a fix.
