Hi,
Windows 2003 is not certified with Peopletools 8.52
Certified Microsoft windows OS list for PT 8.52:
Windows 32 bit -> 2008,7,vista
Windows x64(64 bit) -> 2008 R2, 2008, 7, vista

Since you have access to Metalink, you could be looking at the Certify tab to find this information. But, the answer is that 8.1.6 is no longer supported by Oracle. However, you should be able to install it on Win 2000 advanced server. You just can't get any support for it.
The earliest version of db supported on Win 2003 was either 9.0 or 9.2, but 9.0 is desupported now as well.

CSA 5.1 windows 2003 server 64bit support

Could anyone tell me CSA 5.1 support windows 2003 server 64 bit OS.
I am trying with this machine but not installing.

Currently CSA does not support 64-bit platforms. This is because Microsoft has included a feature called patchguard or something like it in those platforms in order not to allow to touch Kernel, yet this is the way CSA works.
Microsoft and Cisco still working on it. It's likely that CSA v6 will support 64-bit platforms but there's no release date yet.

Oracle 8 hit the market when Windows 2003 didn't event exist.
Consequently Oracle 8 is not certified on Windows 2003 (so is not guaranteed to work) and as it is both not certified and desupported Oracle won't help you out.
Consequently you are on your own, when you continue your road to hell.

Hi,
1. Discoverer 4.1 has been desupported but was only certified for Windows 200 and XP
2. Discoverer Desktop and Admin is support on Windows 2003:
2003 SP1+ 10g (10.1.2.0.2 )
One thing I have to mentioned is that Oracle does not support any Citrix client operations.
If ever you encounter a problem you will need to reproduce the problem
outside of the Citrix environment to prove that it is not the cause of the problem.

EM12c and GC11g Agent for Windows 2003 R2 64 bit

Hello Everyone,
I have setup a GC 11g on Oracle Linux 64 bit to monitor the servers in the data center.
The problem is, I'm having difficulties installing an agent in Windows 2003 R2 64 bit.
Few months ago when I checked the certification matrix for GC 11g Agent, I saw that it didn't support Windows 2003 R2 64 bit platform.
Apparently, now I cannot choose 11.1.0.1.0 in the certification matrix anymore and have left with 12.1.0.1.0 and 12.1.0.2.0.
However, even the 12c also doesn't put Windows 2003 R2 64 bit platform in the list of supported OS platform.
The strange thing is Windows 2003 R2 32 bit is supported.
So, my questions are:
1. Is there any of you who was successful in implementing the EM12c or GC11g agent on Windows 2003 R2 64 bit?
2. If you are successful, did you experiencing any problem after the installation and during the installation phase?
3. Can I use 10.2.0.5.0 agent which is supported to be installed on Windows 2003 R2 64 bit and managed by either GC11g or EM12c?

Windows 2003 R2 is not supported.
The only supported platforms are :
XP,Vista,7,2008 R2,2008,2003
Even 10.2.0.5 agent is not supported.

Rac one node in windows 2003?

Hi,
Do RAC one node support windows 2003 64 bit?
I could find neither the patch 9004119 nor documentation for windows.
All are about RAC one node in linux.

On 11g R2, yes you can have a one node RAC and the patch you are looking for is only available for Linux. Please read note 220970.1

For MuVo TX FM 52mb, creative doesn't support Windows 2003. I am just wondering is there any known issue for windows 2003. if user use it to transfer files, is it gonna corrupt the mp3 player?

It shouldn't corrupt at all, because it should just detect the device as a removeable storage device. I'm sure you can drag and drop your MP3 files without any problems. I'll try it at work Monday to see if it detects as an removeable dri've. What does Windows 2003 detect your MuVo as or have you tried it yet? Good luck.

Is Windows 2003 member servers still able to authenticate against Windows Server 2012 R2 AD after mirgation?

We are planning to migrate Windows Server 2008 R2 AD to Windows Server 2012 R2 AD. But we have some Windows 2003 member servers (Running RADIUS for VPN user to authenticate their AD accounts). Does anyone know that existing Windows 2003 member
servers still able to authenticate on Windows Server 2012 R2 AD after migration and function properly? Just wanted to make sure Windows Server 2012 AD support Windows 2003 member server.

Jrun 3.0, windows 2003, IIS6

I am trying to install Jrun version 3.0 service pack 2a,
version 3.024.11614 on a windows 2003 server running IIS6.... It
all appears to install fine but when trying to access the default

I have installed ERP 6.0 IDES version in Windows 2003 server with DB2 LUW 9.1 / FP5.
I have selected "Row Compression" and "Deferred Table Creation" during installation.
Now when I am importing add on BI Content 7.03, I am getting error during Movename tabs phase.
Error in phase: IMPORT_PROPER
Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE

Acrobat 9 pro support windows server 2003 32bit?

in the acrobat 9 pro readme file,I see the system requiement:
Windows Server® 2003 (with Service Pack 2 for 64-bit);
my question is that does acrobat 9 pro support windows server 2003 32 bit?
I have install it at windows server 2003 32bit,
but when i open it, a message box
"Licensing for this product has stopped working"
i have try the solution in kb405970, and can not resolve it.
so manybe really it doesn't support windows server 2003 32 bit?

John makes some very good points but I would like to clarify one thing from his post: you are planning three migrations:
1. From 32bit -> 64bit
2. From Windows to Linux
3. From Oracle 10gR2 to 11gR2
The second of these is the one most liekly to give you grief. You certainly should not attempt to combine it with a database upgrade. Either move the database to RHEL and then upgrade it, or upgrade it on Windows and then move it to the new server.
Of these, the first is the least controversial. So it's a nice point whether it is worth upgrading from Windows 32bit to Windows 64bit prior to moving to Linux.

Java 1.4.2_03 support on Windows 2003 RC2

I installed Windows 2003 RC2 64-bit onto a Sun X4100.
Put in all the drivers and tools and everything works fine.
There is a cool tool called "LSI Logic MyManager" that utilizes java to monitor the status of the hardware OS mirror on the LSI controller.
However, after my customer installed some of their applications, the LSI Logic MyManager couldn't start anymore. Further investigation found out that the java went quiet.
Below are a few findings:
1. After new installation, when java was still working, the command "java -version" will show the correct java and version installed. But now, the same command just skips a line and back to prompt.
2. When I start the LSI Logic MyManager, it shows an error saying "Couldn't find the correct java version (1.4.2_03)"
3. Tried installing newer java like 1.4, 1.5 and also 1.6 but the software specifically looks for 1.4.2_03 only.
4. Tried uninstalling the software but erred with "Couldn't find the correct java version (1.4.2_03)" too
5. Tried installing the software onto another server (the application is able to start, as well as java) and copy the whole directory back to the server with problem. Application behave the same, shows error, and java has no response (like dead).
6. There are no newer version of LSI Logic MyManager available that hopefully supports newer java version.
So, that'all above things that I tried to solve the mystery. Anyone, any advice or solution will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry for the duplicated message. It's my first post and I messed up a little with the right section.
A new downloaded copy of the file or other versions of Java failed to install with the same error message.
I've learned there is a product ID in the registry that must be present for the installer to run. I'm searching for this "mysterious" product ID and how to set the right Windows XP Registry entry for the JSE 1.4.2_03 version.
I'm still not sure this will fix the problem.
