Is there a published api to create/update employee contacts ? I did some research but i couldn't find. Or do we create this contact link create person api ?
I need to create employee contacts with procedure.
Thanks.

  • Lync 2013 client - Set people to "Blocked Contacts" relationship by default?

We are in the process of implementing Lync Server 2013 (on-premises). We have already implemented one front end pool and one edge pool and successfully tested the basic functionality.  Now we are moving on to configuring the various policies based
on our requirements. One requirement that has come late in the planning is to prevent people from receiving IMs unless they explicitly allow people to IM them and to have the ability to whitelist IMs from people on an individual basis.  This is a feature
that was submitted as a requirement by way of our IT HelpDesk manager.
From what I gather, this could be accomplished if someone had the ability to set the default to the "Blocked Contacts" relationship for everyone instead of "Colleagues".  In my research on how to set that as the default, I found
a setting "ShowManagePrivacyRelationship" in Set-CsClientPolicy.  I created a new per-user client policy called "TEST" and applied it to myself.  Then I set ShowManagePrivacyRelationShip to $true via PowerShell on the TEST policy.
However, even hours after making the change and signing out and back into the Lync 2013 client, I still don't see any change in functionality or new options.
Now, if I instead sign in with the Lync 2010 client, I can indeed see a "Manage Privacy Relationships" option in a drop-down near the right side of the client which takes me to a view where I can see and move "People in my company" and
"People in domains connected to my company" pseudo-contacts from the "Colleagues" relationship to "Blocked Contacts" and this accomplishes exactly what we want to do.
Where can I find the "Manage Privacy Relationship" setting in Lync 2013 client?  If there is no setting called that, how can I accomplish what I am trying to do using Lync 2013?
I would rather not use the Lync 2010 client, as our HelpDesk technicians all use Windows 8.1 and Office 2013.

    David:
Yes, I have all of those relationships categories in Lync 2013.  What I am missing is the ability to set the rest of the organization to
Blocked Contacts by default.  I can do this with the Lync 2010 client using the same user login and the same Lync Server 2013 environment.
The following image demonstrates the location of the Manage Privacy Relationships option I would like to leverage in Lync 2013.  The image is of the Lync 2010 client.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/i0g83i9su9e5zox/Manage_Privacy_Relationships.png
If I click that Manage Privacy Relationships option, I end up on the following screen.  Note that there is a
People in my company object under Colleagues.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/kkatgtoexea7evt/Default_Privacy_Relationships.png
I am able to move that People in my company object to another relationship option.  I moved it to
Blocked Contacts, as you can see below.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/956kw0ih15uksgr/People_In_Company_Blocked.png
As you can see in the following image, after making this change if I do not have a person on my Contacts list, they are unable to IM me.  As you can see in my Lync 2013 client relationships list, no one is in my
Blocked Contacts list yet the Lync Test Account is being blocked due to the fact that I put People in my company there and haven't added them to my Contacts list.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/cue09wjj8tidbau/Blocked.png
After adding the Lync Test Account to my Contacts list, the Lync Test Account is able to IM me.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/nalju5ia980lc30/Unblocked.png
I hope these images help make clear that there seems to be a capability present in the Lync 2010 client that I am unable to locate in the Lync 2013 client.  I can't find this
Manage Private Relationships option anywhere in the Lync 2013 client or any other option that lets me see those People in my company and People in domains connected with my company objects.
With regards to the EnablePrivacyMode option, I am already aware of it and that is not what we are looking for.

  • How to delete a Contact Relationship in BADI

    Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to delete Contact Person's relationship -  BUR001 with the Account he is associated with. This should be done in a BADI implementation when the user changes the status of the Contact Person and clicks on SAVE on WebUI.
Initially I tried to delete the Contact Person relationship using the FM: BAPI_BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_DELETE which actually resulted in a DUMP error on WebUI in runtime because that FM was trying to interrupt a COMMIT. So I tried to find few MAINTAIN FMs which can solve this issue , as COMMIT anyways happens later internally.
I found this FM: BUB_BUPA_RELATION_MODIFY which takes BUT050 structure and the action as input. Below is the Code snippet of the FM i used:
    CALL FUNCTION 'BUB_BUPA_RELATION_MODIFY'
       EXPORTING
                 is_but050 = ls_but050
                 iv_aktyp   = '06'.            " 06 means delete action
Now the Contact has been successfully saved but the Contact Relationship is not deleted.
Please let me know if anyone has got a solution for this.
    Thanks,
    San

    Any idea on this query?

  • Nokia 2323 Contacts: Multiple entries per contact ...

    Hello Everyone,
    Greetings
I am planning to buy Nokia 2323 Classic phone. gsmarena informs that it can save 1000 contacts. What I need to know is that does this phone accept multiple entries per contact. For example: Work Phone, Home Phone, Fax, Mobile Phone etc. If yes, then how many entries can each contact take? Also, if we add multiple entries then would it reduce the number of contacts we can save?
I have googled but it doesn't help. Also tried looking at the online user guide of Nokia 2323. It talks about going into Details menu and then entering Add detail but doesn't mention what kind of "details" it takes. I would be really glad if some one who has seen/used the phone could help.
    Thank you.
    Regards

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Now that I'm not so sure about. The phone will either have a certain amount of memory put aside for contacts and usually you can't tell how much but you can check how much of it you have used as a percentage or it will let the contacts share the same memory as your messages and everything else and when you check your memory it will just tell you how much the contacts are using. I haven't used that phone but I think the 1st case applies to it

  • Preferred Language per Contact

I'm quite a fan of iOS. However, as a European Citizen I'm quite used to communicate with different people in different languages. However I generally use the same language with the same person over and over. When writing emails or iMessages, I have every time to switch language myself. I don't understand why iOS doesn't do that for me by remembering per contact which language I prefer to communicate to that person with. Sounds like a small feature that would add a lot of convenience for their users (especially in other regions than US).

What exactly are you looking for? Hopefully it is obvious that in any given email or text message (or any app for that matter) you may type any language you wish, regardless of what your device language preference is set to. In addition, you can install any key board you wish (again, not language dependent) and switch with a simple tap on the keyboard.

  • Max phone numbers per contact in the phonebook for...

    Hi,
I have Nokia 5300 which is running s40. I also have a Nokia N70 which is running s60.
Nokia N70 can store more than 5 phone numbers per contact where as 5300 can only store 5 which i found out when i tried sending a business vCard. I was wondering whether this is a problem because of the s40 version on 5300 and whether there is a software update for this. If not, i would just like to know what is the reason (out of curiosity - is it the 5300 hardware and runs s40 or something else ...).
    Thanks & Regards,
PS: I found out that Phonebook is part of the OS/firmware for the phone.

The S40 Nokia operating system - what the 5300 is based on - is in many ways simpler & more limited than S60/Symbian. (In some ways it is also more efficient and at least simpler/smaller.)

i need to come up with a report on the number of members a leader has.
the problem im facing is that when i create a report to list all the [Related Contacts] . i get all of my data. but when i add the [Contact Name] the person is related to only a few data shows up.
This is how my report should look like.

John Doe Leader Jane Doe Follower
im not sure why the data is not appearing. any suggestions?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
I am having the similar problem for getting the report from Contact Relationships.
I was trying to create the report from "Contact Relationships" subject area. The column I used are

  • Workaddress in contact relationship person2person

    Hi together,
we are working on the go-live for the CRM 7.0 EhP2. I got an issue, which is not
clearly assigned to be a technical  or a process problem.
If a contact relationship between 2 persons exists , the workaddress at the contact
    persons view is not editable.
I debugged and found some hints in code which lead me to the opinion, that
a workaddress in person to person relationships does not make sense. So these
fields are deactivated trough coding not through customizing.
Am i right? I can't find any ressources, which confirm my way of thinking.
Thank you in advance for useful help!
regards and a nice Weekend, Jens

    Hi Jens,
You have my vote. And to support this idea, there are some SAP notes that here and there talks about that scenario impossibility, like note 1484558 that states: "This occurs during the check of work address duplicates which is not required for a person to person contact person relationship, since the work address assignment is not possible for this scenario."
Kind regards and have a nice weekend!

  • App to calculate call minutes per contacts, from the stock iOS Phone app.?

    Hi,
I am looking for an app to keep track of my call minutes consumed per contact, so that I can have a summary wise view at regularly intervals (week/month).
Most of the apps that I came across on the AppStore have their own in built Call Dailer and they track calls made from their app itself and not the regular calls made from the stock iOS app.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi.
Because Apps are sandboxed on iOS (to prevent viruses and to increase data protection), there is no way an app can have access to this information. You cannot do this on the iPhone. However, you might want to contact your cellular provider/ carrier to see if they have such feature on their app or on their website (which would use your cellular provider server data instead of the internal iPhone info.)
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    James

  • Contact relationship to person

    Hi all,
I'm new to oracle,so correct me if i'm wrong..
I've created a party (Party A) using the HZ_PARTY_V2PUB API, to be a contact to a different party (Party B).
Next I created a contact point for Party A using the HZ_CONTACT_POINT_V2PUB API.
So, for Party A to be a contact within a Service Request of Party B, I use the CS_SERVICEREQUEST_PUB API which have the Contacts Table (cs_servicerequest_pub.contacts_table)
    l_contacts_tab (1).party_id := 89765 ; --Party A party_id
    l_contacts_tab (1).contact_point_id := 73154; --Party A contact_point_id
    Error message:
API Programming Error (CS_ServiceRequest_UTIL.Validate_Person_Relationship): The value "89765" for parameter p_party_id is invalid.
Should I create the relationship between Party A and Party B before it can become a contact?
What is the API to create the relationship between 2 parties?
    Please help..
    P.S.
I change the the contact_point_id to Party B's and the same error message appeared...

    Hi,
I have gone through your query. The question here is bit misleading. You have mentioned that when you delete the contact person relationship of a Sold to party, relationship to another contact person is deleted. No two contact persons can be identical in the system. Whenever you create a new BP in the CRM system, every one are unique in its own way with a New GUID and New BP number assigned to them.
Even though they can remain as duplicate, but 2 contact persons cannot be identical which will lead to a scenario like you have mentioned here. In my opinion this cannot occur. If you elaborate further i can help you out.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Venkat

  • Grouping '# of Tasks' per Contact for Graph

I'm trying to report in a Graph that: X amount of people have 1 task under their record and Y amount of people have 2 tasks under their record. It seems to work if I list each Contact ID, but I want to plot it on a graph. I've tried different formuals, but the amounts do not add up. Can anyone help please? thank-you.

No, I was really asking for the formula so that all the people with one task would be grouped together and all the people with more than one would be grouped together. I used a CaseIf but it didn't capture them all. Luckily a colleague has been able to provide the additional formula needed.

  • Need in-call timer option and per contact ringtone...

    Hello Members and guests,
I was using N 2300 which had those 2 facility mentioned in subject. Even though 6150 is 3G phone, it lacks them. I am currently using V04.10/21-12-2006/RM-200 firmware. Is there any way to get them on this 6150?. Any newer updates from Nokia for this?
I think Nokia could have retained the basic facilities of N2300 as a standard accross all the models. Can this be done in any new releases from N6150?
