Perfect Portrait Blur, Elements 11 will not Work

Dear PhotoShop Elements gurus,
I am using Elements 11 on Windows 8.
Under the The "Guided" function and "Perfect Portrait", attempt to blur (Apply Smart Blur), the Smart Blur" window pops ups,I click okay, nothing happens.
Any ideas, comments and direction would be much appreciated.
I have used this fuction successfully under Windows 7, and installed the latest patch

What is not working. Editor or Organizer. These are two options yo get when you click on PSE icon from desktop which launches Welcome screen.
In case it is Editor try this first
1. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
2. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.

Barbara Brundage in the Photoshop Elements Forum will probably have the answer to your Photoshop Elements Epson scanner issue. Look into that Twain driver. She will give you good input on all this.

Facial Recognition in Elements 12 will not work

Have installed Elements 12 - previously had version 10. All images copies across OK as did tags and previous people tagged. But now have lots of new images in Elements 12 that will not respond to the Add People. It prepares the files, searches for a missing file. When located I try to reconnect it as suggested. Do that - nothing seems happen. Then I get the message. 'People recognition supports photos only. Your selection includes invalid items which will be skipped. 'Fair enough - though why that is the case I don't know. But then I can't seem to get to the next stage where the program identifies shots with people who are untagged. Any help would be much appreciated.

In the Organizer, go to the Preferences (under the Edit menu on a PC) and ensure that all of the options are turned on for the Media Auto Analyzer.
I'm not sure why you're seeing so many missing files. Did you recently upgrade your software, move to a new computer or move your media files?
What operating system are you using, by the way?

Photomerge Panorama on Elements 9 will not work

I have a copy of Elements9, which I purchased from Adobe, downloaded and installed but Photomerge Panorama will no work. It comes up with an error and shuts down the editor.

Recently purchased a Canon T5i and now my Elements 11 will not work. Just purchased this program before I updated my camera. Is there anything I can do to get it to work?

How do I get my Canon T5i to work with Photoshop Elements 11? Do I need to update? I just purchased 11 just before 12 came out so am not that anxious to purchase the new one.

If you do have the MAC App from the Apple store, you can always download the free Adobe DNG converter and use that to convert your CR2 file to DNG files. The DNG files can then be used by PSE 11.

Alternatively, you could use the Canon software (DPP) to conver the raw files to TIF files and use them in PSE 11.

Link for Adobe Premiere Elements 11 will not work. Any help please?

I bought my Premiere Elements package from another seller which gave me a link to download from Adobe. The product key thing is legit but every time I click on the file link for windows, my laptop comes up with this message: "The file archive of Adobe Premiere Elements 11 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adpbe Premiere Elements 11. Please download all parts."
What does this mean??? Can anyone help me??? Please!

it means you only download of the 2 needed files. there are files 1 of 2, and 2 of 2. you need both. try again.

If PSE8 uses an Unwelcome Screen, bypass the Unwelcome Screen by creating Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor, and restarting your computer.
The Editor's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The Organizer's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
The Unwelcome Screen leaves a zombie process running which prevents the actual program from launching again.

Java7 and Java6 will not work opening pogo games on firefox, but works perfectly for IE, what can I do to fix this issue?

Java will not work on the computer all of a sudden. Now when I go to open a Pogo game room up i get a Mozilla red lego piece in the corner saying "Some plug ins have been De-activated for your safety, in the box will be "Java (TM) platform SE 6 U". I have removed Java7 and reloaded it, after that not working found Java6 and loaded and reloaded it and it is not working.
Now after 3 minutes of the room not loading Pogo will give me the error message of
Java Not Found or Not Working
Explanation:
This error means Java (one of the technologies built into most browsers) is not working correctly on your browser.
You must have Java installed on your computer in order to run Pogo games, and it must be functioning properly. Either you don't have Java installed yet, or the Web browser you're currently using doesn't support Java or you have Java (or Javascript) disabled in your browser.

I have done the click here in last sentence and all it wants me to do is download Java7 which was the first reason it was not working.
Hopefully I have explained this well enough, from Mozilla this is what I get BUT if I go to Internet Explorer (which I HATE) the Java6 and Java7 work perfectly fine. So apparently the Java is downloaded correctly I just can not get it to play nicely with Mozilla and that is my main goal.
EA games help page has gone through it all with me and have proven over and over (after 1 hour sessions, 45 waits for them) Java is working on my computer perfectly with IE just not on Firefox and with the rural situation I have become dependent on Mozilla because of the no fiber optics here it has been my best and only source of successfully using the internet here in the far out part of the country.

I am getting a bit concerned about what is happening in your situation. Yesterday you posted your question in at least two different forums, one of them being here in the Premiere Elements Forum.
Don't Have Serial Number for Premiere, Only Photoshop?
Wherever you posted, the reply was to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat. It is the only one who can sort out this matter for you.
In the thread cited above I offered to help you with the difficulties that you were having visualizing the Adobe Chat in its web page. I was waiting for your follow up on that in the above thread. Instead, I find your same question in a new Adobe Premiere Elements Forum thread this afternoon with no refer the prior threads or prior recommendations given you.
I will also mention again...when you buy the Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements bundled in one packaging and with installation files for each on the same installation disc, each program has its own serial number. The Photoshop Elements serial number does not work for Premiere Elements and vice versa. The serial numbers are on labels on a box which houses the installation disc envelope(s). So, if you purchased both programs and found the Photoshop Elements serial number, then the Premiere Elements serial number should be in a label right underneath the label with the serial number for Photoshop Elements. I recall writing this in your yesterday's thread on this matter.
The moderator will no doubt be along shortly to close or delete this thread. So, just in case, please bookmark your yesterday's thread cited above so that we can continue this communication which is trying to help you.

Yes, if the system requirements do not include XP then an XP machine will not be able to use it.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Elements 8 was not working OK so I reinstalled it off CD. Will not install and says installation interrupted. Try again - OK - no go. Also lost initial installation so I now have no Elements 8!!!

OK. Have you got any other Adobe products like Photoshop or Dreamweaver? IF the answer is NO then I suggest try to use this Adobe cleaner:

This utility works very well in PSE so it is a good idea to clear the registry entries using the official tool from Adobe.
If you have other products then PLEASE DON'T USE THIS TOOL BECAUSE THE TOOL CLEARS EVERYTHING FROM THE SYSTEM PERTAINING TO ADOBE. (sorry about capital letters but it is essential you read it carefully)
