Perfomance Order in Planning

I am trying to move dimensions in the Performance Order in Planning for my WFP database. Some dimensions will move up/down the order but I have a couple that will not move when I click on the arrows. I am trying to move Periods up (dense dimension) so that it is below Accounts (also dense), however it will not move above Version and Entities (both sparse dimensions). These two sparse dimensions will switch with each other in the order but will not allow Periods to move above them. Any ideas?
None of the other databases in this Planning application are having this issue.
BTW we are in version 11.1.1
I saw a thread about this from back in Feb, but there wasn't a resolution listed.
Thanks in advance

I have come across this issue a few times and if it is the same issue it is a problem with the ids that are created in the backend tables of planning.
It does not seem to order the ids in the correct order.
In the past I have updated the table (HSP_DIMENSION I seem to remember) to correct the ids, I don't have the exact process to hand so unless somebody tells you the correct process then I can tell you tomorrow.
Cheers

  • Sales Order value updating in the Internal Order Revenue Planning

    Dear All,
We have created an Internal Order and entered the planned value of the Revenue & Costs. When we create the Sales Order ,the Planned Revenue value of the Internal Order is updating by the Sales Order Value, but as per the client requirement ,the planned value of the Internal Order should not get updated by the sales order value.
Please note that we have activated the CO-PA.Is this CO-PA activation is affecting the Internal Order planned values by the Sales Order value?.If so how to come from this issue.
Please help me as how to resolve this issue.
    Regards
    Subbu

    Hi,
Thanks for giving the appropriate SAP Note and I have referred the said note, but in note the SAP has said that
"The attached modification deactivates the update for the order for all order categories (CO internal order, PM order, CS order)."
In our scenario we need to update the planned vales in the CO Internal Order ,PM Order and CS Order except the Sales Order value. Is there any other alternative solution without affecting the CO Internal Order,PM order and CS Order?
Please share as we are in the process of testing.
    Thanks

  • Link between process order and sales order for planning strategy 52

    Hello,
I investigate the possibility of a link between "sales order" and "planned order / process order" for the usage of planning strategy 52 (planning w/o final assembly, make to stock).
I know, this is not conform to the basics of planning strategies (EITHER make to order OR make to stock) and I suspect it would be a modification. Of course we have the alternative "make to order" - strategy 50, but we do not want to use individual customer stocks.
Is anybody there with similar customer requirements or project experiences?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joerg

    Hi Jorg,
To my understanding if you need hard pegging then in SAP only Individual requirement is possible.
Or else you need to create a custom transactions/table to identify Sale order and when ever a process order is created by selecting the sale order record, the process order detials should also get updated against that.
You need to take the help of ABAP expert for this,

  • Order cost plan in report CN41N

    Hi Gurus,
Would appreciate if any one of share what is  'Order Cost Plan" in report CN41N.
Infact, the values displayed in Order cost plan column neither coincide with either Project Cost Plan nor Actual cost displayed.
Looking forward to hear and thaks in advnace.
    Thanks,
    PSR

    Hi PSR,
Order Cost Plan in CN41N is PM Order Plan Costs figure.
If you create PM Order and assign WBS Element/Project Def in Additional Data Tab of PM Order after planning Material services system will consider WBSE as Costing object and Plan and Post cost on WBSE. It will appears in CN41N in Order Cost Plan column.
    Please check
    Hope this will help you.

  • Re-order point planning

    Dear Sir,
We have configured Re-order point planning. Accordingly we have created
the MRP controller and updated the material master (812 materials) with
all the values required for re-order point planning.
With all these settings, system is not running planning after executing
MD01 (total planning), only planning start and stop time is displayed
as a result. Where as if I run single item, single level planning with
MD03 for the same material, system runs the planning and proposes the
purchase requisition also for that material.
Is the planning file creation is the solution of the issue...
if it is then how to create the planning file for bulk material (800 no approx). Do we need to do create the planning file again and again, if we want to add the mateail in Re-order point planning
    Regards,
    Sachin

    Dear Mr Sachin,
For the materials that are relevant for re-order point planning, the planning file entry will be made automatically by the system when the stock level falls below the "Re-Order point".
Then in the next MRP run procurement proposals will be created for these materials.
Hence unless the stock level falls below the re order point, planning file  entries will not be made & system will not create any proposal.

  • Re-order Point Planning -- PR

    Dear Team,
I have created a Purchase Requisition manually. Same is not being considered for MRP run for re-order point planning.
System is creating new Purchase Requisition when i run MRP.
    Where we have gone wrong?
    Thanks and Regards,
    RC

    Dear Chakrapani,
MRP is considering Manually Created PR for one plant. And not considering for some other plant. If Manually created PR are not considered then you will end up in Procuring More material than required.

  • Creating Production Order from Planned Order

    Hi,
We are trying to use the BAPI 'BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_PLORD' to create Prod. Orders. But it is failing with the message, 'Cannot be saved. Maintain serial no.' Now, the problem is there is no input parameter in this BAPI for providing the serial numbers. Our current Z program manually generates the Serial Numbers and uses BDC for 'CO48' to create the Prod. Order but has a horrible performance and for that reason we are trying to switch to BAPI instead).
Now, the question is how best to achieve this objective: Use the BAPI to generate Prod. Orders from Planned orders with user-given serial numbers when there is no input option in the BAPI?
I think of couple of options but not sure how good they are:
    1) Can we create/attach the serial numbers to the equipment/material first and then create production orders?
    2) Use implicit enhancement to add another parameter to BAPI and use it instead. This one seems little technically complicated because the BAPI itself calls tons of other programs (including CO48) to create Prod. Orders so the right place to insert the numbers might be difficult.
Any clues how to solve this problem would be appreciated..
    Thank you

    Hi,
REM manufacturing is simpler way to book the production.
What is needed for REM is first question.
    1) REM profile
    2) Material on REM with this profile and REM tick
    3) Have normal BOM and routings/ rate routings and work center
    4) Define Production Version
    5) Define Product Cost Collector on which all costs are booked whenever you do your confirmation thro MFBF
Having defined these master, once you run MRP you get planned order of PE type. It was earlier also callled as RS i.e Run Schedule.
By using MFBF, backflushing transaction can book the production. REM is period based type of production booking unlike discrete where you make a production order of particular material for some dates, it is lot based production booking.
    Hope it is clear.

Please help me if there are any standard datasource available or ECC tables to pull the data or any standard function modules available.

  • Manual Re order point planning

    Hai Gurus,
I have one doubt regarding manual re order point planning inputs in MRP view.
    CASE :1
    1) MRP type = VB in MRP - 2 view
    2) Lot size = EX
    3) Re order point = 10
In this case if MRP or MPS is done on back ground daily , procurement proposal will be created for qty = 10
also if stock goes to 5 , then again after next MRP/MPS run again procurement proposal will be created for qty = 10.
    CASE :2
    1) MRP type = VB in MRP - 2 view
    2) Re order point = 10
    3) Lot size = FX
    4) Fixed Lot size = 15
In this case If MRP or MPS is done on back ground daily, procurement proposal will be created for qty = 15
also if stock goes to 5 number , then again after next MRP/MPS run again procurement proposal will be created for
    qty = 15.
Kindly confirm if I am right.
    Regards,
    Sekar chand

    Sekar,
Case 1 part 1, generally yes.
Case 1 part 2, assume stock of 5 and existing unfirmed proposal of 10, assume that if you run REGEN and  MRP parameter delete and recreate, you would get a new proposal.
Case 2 part 1, generally yes.
Case 2 part 2, assume stock of 5 and existing unfirmed proposal of 15, assume that if you run REGEN and MRP parameter delete and recreate, you would get a new proposal.
This topic and related Reorder point topics have been discussed in this and other forums dozens of times.  Such scenario questions usually go on and on: 'Yes, but what about this case; yes but what about that case.....etc etc etc.'  Such basic questions are generally not the type of questions that these forums are designed to answer.  Forums are not a substitute for basic training.
It does not appear that you have diligently searched the forums before posting this question. Moreover, if you spent 10 minutes in a sandbox with these basic scenarios, you would learn more there than by reading a hundred forum posts.
This is my last post in this thread.

  • Collective orders-Mrp is not considering partial orders in planning.

We are using collective orders,Backflush for goods issue. The order below the main order is partially confirmed(child order).
The order qty is 100.The child order is confirmed for 75.i.e: it is partially confirmed.
But the main order is confirmed and delivered for 100 and the status is REL  CNF  DLV  PRC  CFCO GMCO GMPS MACM.
    Help

I want to explain this more clearly.
we are using collective orders and planning strategy 10.
Say we need 1 roh to produce 1 halb
and need 1 halb to produce 1 fert.
    target qty =100 say
    MRP run
Production order qty for fert 100
production order qty for halb 100
purchase req qty for roh 100
say GR for roh qty 50
we confirmed qty of halb = 50 i.e:partially confirmed
Now went to fert order and will be able to confirm 50.But this is not happening.User is able to confirm 100.
we should be able to confirm only 50 since we have halb=50.
How to restrict this.he should be able to confirm fert qty 50 since confirmed  halb qty is 50.
Could  you please tell me what config setting i should do and where.
    thanks

  • Manual cration on planned order in Planning w/o Final Assly segment

    Hello everyone,
Is there any way to change/create SNP planned orders manually in SNP Planning book or product view in Planning w/o final assly segment.
I am not able to create manual order in RRP3 view in Planning w/o final assly segment. It is giving below error.
Note: I am able to create planned order in MTS segment.
I am not sure whether SAP has purposfully not given this functionality. However, I believe user should able to create/change planned order in planning w/o final assly segment.
    Regards,
    Abhay

    Hi,
If the planning strategy is Make to order, planned orders should not be created manually in RRP3 view and it comes from sales order only.

    Hi Ravi,
I'm unsure whether this will help you or not. In VOV7, choose your It Cat, in detailed screen of It Cat settings there's a checkbox with "Business data" when not checked which will allow you to change Data at Item level.

we are converting refurbishment order from planned order usin MD04 (stock requirement lis). when we convert it, there is a error number IW828 with message

  • Dispatching of Planned Order in Planning Table

    Hi Gurus,
What do we understand by dispatching of planned orders?
When the orders are need to be dispatched?
Is it after firming of order?
What impact it will have on the system after we dispatch the planned order?
I observe that after dispatching the planned order, we have tick on capacity dispatched. In MD04, for the planned order there are double stars for dispatched orders?
Can anyone explain the this functionality in simple way.
    Points will be rewarded.
    Srini

    Hi,
Normally we can do the capacity leveling  for Plannend order and Production Order. In R/3 , MRP run dosenot consider  Capacity Over load, Capacity leveling is required to for Planned order.
U reserve the Capacity  on particular date by despatching the planned order at Planning Table. Which results in Capacity is scheduled on that Particular date & time for  that Planned order.System will not allow to despatch another order  in the same date.
Firm & Capacity scheduled check box is activated when u despatch the Order.  MRP will not reshedule that Planned order.
when u convert that Planned order to production order, system will schedule the order with  same date  & set the despatch status for Each opeartion. No need to despatch the Prod order Again.
