Performance Appraisal Document final rating

All Expert:
The appraisal Form will has a final  appraisal rate. how to exacter the final rating in the Appraisal Form, which FM can be use?
and how to distinguish the zero and blank final rating? I want to distinguish them. Can any one can help me? Thank you.

Assuming that your are using Objective Settings and Appraisals component,  you may explore if FM HRHAP_PA_ECM_PERFORMANCE_GET can be executed in transaction SE37 to compute appraisal result.
Mandatory input parameters are staff number, start date of appraisal, end date of appraisal and appraisal template object number.

  • SSHR Performance Appraisal

    Hi,
    1) We are implementing SSHR, they are doing objective based and competency based performance appraisal. Also giving different ratings for objectives and competency. At the time of annual appraisal, system should combine both ratings of objectives and competency. Is it standard facility? If not, how can we achieve this?
    2) Our client is using Oralce Portal. Is it possible to keep iRecruitment External Candidate responsbility in one of the portlets in oracle portal?

    My situation resemble that posted by Raad and even with some added feature request:
    We are implementing Oracle Human Capital Management(Oracle Talent Management) for a client and there are some issue that look tricky
    1. The client performs appraisal 4 times in a year: Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4
    2. The client promotes staff 2 times in a year in Q2 and Q4
    3. To calculate the final Rating for Q2 appraisal, the Final Rating of Q1 appraisal is referenced as an input e.g. Q2 Final Rating = ((Competence + Objective)/2 +(Q1 Final Rating)/4 )
    4. To calculate the final Rating for Q4 appraisal, the Final Rating of Q3 appraisal is referenced as an input e.g. Q4 Final Rating = ((Competence + Objective) /2 +(Q3 Final Rating)/4 )
    What we have done
    ================
    1.I have created a Performance Management Plan attaching 4 differnt appraisals representing Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4
    2.(Not really done yet) In the fast formula that calculates the appraisal Final Rating, IF statement will be used to determine if appraisal is Q1, Q2, Q3,or
    Q4 and appropriate calculation carried out as stated above
    My Questions

    1. How do I bypass the use of the Seeded Rating Scale method used (often called Final Rating Scale) in calculating the Final Rating of employee appraisal ?
    I will actually like to be able to do and form of arithmetic with the competence and the objective scores in order to arrive at Final score.
    2. How do I reference the past appraisals in a present appraisal period (through a fast formula). What database item to use if any?
    3. As Anand mentioned, the seeded fast formula that calculates the Final Rating (precisely SUM_COMP_AND_OBJ or AVG_COMP_AND_OBJ ) will have to be customised. How do we do this customization because I think it will go beyond just modifying the fast formula and attaching it in the appraisal template.

  • Changing the Final rating after the appraisal process is completed

    Hi Experts,
    Is there any way to change the final appraisal rating when the appraisal document is in the completed state?
    I tried to change the rating only VA rating using standard FM HRHAP_DOC_FINAL_WRITE, but it deletes all the other records(VC, VB).
    Can someone guide me on the same?

    Changes to Appraisal Template can only done when it is NOT Released, to Cancel Release there should not be any documents created by using this Appraisal Template and deleting completed appraisal documents is not Recommended in PRD enviornment.
    You cannot make changes to appraisal template when it is in Released Status and it is not recommended to make changes to appraisal template which has appraisal documents.
    You need to copy the appraisal template, create new appraisal template and make the changes to new template.

    I think I misunderstood your question, if you want to change the attributes of final rating column, above is the answer.
    If you want to make changes to the value in Final Rating Column, you can do that by using T code PHAP_ADMIN

    I need to provide the functionalities of Character count and Chacter restriction.
    For this After my investigation I found I need to implement the BAdi HRHAP00_DOC_BC ( Business Check BADi).
    Can any one provide me some sample code How I can implement My requirement.

    The Badi "HRHAP00_DOC_BC" is a business check badi used to check the appraisal data in the appraisal document against the business check defined by the customer.
    How to use: Create the Filter value in the OOHAP_BASIC tcode and add the Badi to the appraisal template under further template behaviour. This should make the appraisal docuemnt respond to the badi call.
    Implementation expamle: This Badi has the method to check the data in the appraisal docuemnt against customer specific check points. Say if the custome wants the minimum rating per employee to be 1. Or Promotion as YES/eligible for employee rated at 5.
    This check can be done here and an appropriate error can be raisedthrough the "return" (BAPI_RETURN ?) parameter of the method.
    I dont have a SAP system with me right now. But this should be easiliy implementable by an ABAPer.

    We are in the process of building Performance Management using Enhancement Package 4 in ECC 6.0. I am having issues with getting the Appraisal Document to work for MSS. Just to clarify too, I have no experience with Performance Management and the fact that we are using Enhancement package 4, our Functional consultants are not sure what to expect either. One more thing, the SICF service is activated.
    *) When trying to preview the Appraisal Document (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.hap_document), I am receiving a Portal Run Time error.
    *) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Application HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT, I am receiving u2018Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.u2019
    *) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Configuration HAP_AC_MAIN_DOC, I am receiving u201Cu2018Error in Calling Up Applicationu2019 The Web Dynpro application was called up with the wrong URL parametersu201D.
    QUESTIONS:
    1) Do I have to implement Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) to call the appraisal document?
    2) Is there any special configuration that needs to be done to make the HAP_MAIN_DOC work (portal or R/3)?
    3) Do I need to manually create an SICF service for this?
    4) Is there any documentation on how to implement the Flexible?

    I copied the Iview Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) with Application Name 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS' and the Application Configuration Name 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC'.
    Activated the SICF services of 'hap_main_document', 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC', 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS. Also, I would activate the services that begin with 'HAP' that l thought that I would need.
    In SE80, there are 2 locations to find these Applications: 1) Web Dynpro Comp./Intf. = FPM_OIF_COMPONENT and 2) Package = PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UI.
    As for the notes, we are on SAPK-60420INEAHRGXX, these are the notes that we applied:
    1468466 - PM Launchpad Config
    1463821 - PM Portal Config
    1416756 - OBN Config in PM
    1408243 - Config for OBN

    Want to know that is there any  place where we can define the year relevance for the Rating Scales and Rating scale text ? My client want some changes in  Rating scale text for 2010 Appraisal and this changes should not effect previous appraisal document. I know oohap_value_type  is for Rating scale.

    Hi SP,
    Once u define your Rating scale in SPRO->PM->PD->Appraisal systems-> Define Scales, goto your appraisal template using transaction code PHAP_catalog_pa or OOAM.
    At the category level, goto tab Value List and select the newly defined rating scale.
    Now the new rating scale will also be available for you to use for elements in the appraisal template

    Hi Chris,
    This component must be deployed in Portal because have a lot of services which need ESS in order to work properly. According with note 1408243 you must add those business components in your iView and only are available in that component. Once you deploy this component you do not need to assign any special role to users. The business object component is in Content Administration --> Portal Content --> Business Object --> ERP Common Parts --> Human Resources --> Employee.

  • Performance Management (Appraisal Documents) ABAP webdynpro error on HTTPS

    Hello all,
                      Please help , in resolving the issue with Performance Management Application "Appraisal Documents" getting Blanks Screen on the routing back from "Appraisal Document" after user close the application. Issue is only applicable in 'HTTPs' and work fine in internal network.
    On HTTP Watch :  "ERROR_HTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE"   in the trace.
    Steps to replicate :
    1. User click on the "Appraisal Documents" link on the Area page and open the application on the new window.
    2. User select one of the "Appraisal document" from the list available to work on it , which result in another window.
    3. User close the application after finishing the work on the "Appraisal Document" and return on the Parent window "Appraisal Documents".
    4. At this point "Appraisal Documents " window get refresh and every things looks great.
    5. Now if user want to select another appraisal document to work on it in "Appraisal documents" window, it freeze or give blank screen.

  • Performance Appraisal - Processing of rejected document

    If part appraisers are utilized for an appraisal form and the appraisal is rejected, can the appraisal be directed to a specific part appraiser? If so, how can this be setup. If not, how does it work from a process stand point.

    This can be achieved.
    Try the following way. Assume that the part appraiser sequnce is 1->2->3 and then final appraiser. If the rejection has happened, then the appraisal document has to be available to say Part appraiser 3.
    For this u need to create a new rule in Tcode PFAC. Just clone any of the standard rule from OOHAP_BASIC and create a rule and code in the Z function module as per your requirement.
    Now after doing this add the new custom rule to OOHAP_BASIC.
    Also add the rule to the category group, category and template in PHAP_CATALOG.
    Then in the flow logic of the template, after the complete button is pressed, make sure the person authorized is the new rule which u have created.

    Employees will undergo performance evaluations on a yearly basis.  After the managers and employees go through the evaluation process, they conducts a calibration meeting and will change some of the year end results.  Client would like to be able to upload these final results to the appraisals via a spreadsheet. 
    So i need to create Inbound Interface to change the appraisal documents.Can i use
    'BAPI_APPRAISAL_CHANGE' ?

    As per the SAP Documentation, you can use this to change the appraisal elements if the appraisal is in status "In Process".
    However I am not sure which version of SAP you are on and which version of Appraisals you are using.  If you are using the new SAP appraisals, you should review function group HRHAP_IF_DOCUMENT.  The new Appraisals are more complex to work with.

  • How to trigger follow up processing actions in appraisal documents?

    Hi gurus,
    We are customizing the performance management process using Objective Settings and Appraisals (ECC 6.0; Enh.Pack 4, ESS/MSS with business pack 1.41) and we have customized the evaluation templates (transaction PHAP_CATALOG_PA) with the enhancement "Follow-Up Proc. (Background) - Adjust Qualific. (Start Date)" in Follow-up Processing section of the Processing tab, at template level (VA object).
    The system functions is ok, and the cualification appears in the employee profile (transaction PPPM) correctly after the performance management especialist trigger it using the admin report (transaction PHAP_ADMIN_PA).
    My question is: Is there anyway to automatically trigger the follow-up processing after the appraisal document is finished? Do we need to develop in ABAP a new implementation of some BADI?

    That's not what happens for our (custom) appraisal: follow-up process(es) are not started when the status becomes "completed", neither from the backend nor the portal. We always have to manually launch the follow-up process from the phap_admin transaction, and select the ones we want to be done.
    In phap_catalog, we have a couple of follow-up processes that are selected in the "Processing" tab.
    when the approval process is activated (infty 5025) and or status 6,7,8,9 are selected then the follow up process only takes place after status change to close approved.
    Even when setting the status to "closed approved", no follow-up process is started.
    Any suggestion? Isn't there a setting somewhere that should be set in order for the follow-up prpcesses to be automatically started when the status is set to "completed"?

  • Appraisal document after 'Completed' status

    In OSA, the status of the document is completed. But the apporval pro9cess is not triggered and I am not able to use the 'Approced', 'Rejected' or other subsequent statuses. Any idea of how to do it, through workflow or some config settings?
    Also, I have to include the curve-fitting or normalization process in the flow. After the superior gives the final rating, the normalization process takes place at HR level. Based on this, a new Final rating is generated. The status of the document is Approved. Where do I store this Final rating, which column or field.
    Pls provide your valuable suggestions. Max points assured!

    Which release of OSA are you using? If release 1.10 then the document can only go into status approved or rejected via the administrator functionality.
    With Extention set 2.00 you can control the statusflow on the template configuration.
    For your normalization question, that is not possible when the document is completed, this because we turn then the document to display only.
    However, when release 2.00 or higher, you can create a sub-status under main status in process. The document goes into this status when the superior gives his final rating. After that only HR has access to the document and can normalize the ratings. Then HR sets the document from status 4.x to 5 (completed).
