Performance Management: Pushbutton Date Restrictions

Hello Experts
My client has a requirement to restrict the use of certain pushbuttons based on specific dates (they do not want a manager to be able to "approve" until a specified date has passed). We are implementing EHPK 4 Flex. I have attempted to use the Tab/Process config (HAP_TAB_CONF) to input the specific dates for the corresponding status/substatuses (process steps) however these dates do not seem to provide restrictions based on the Start/End dates input rather the dates are just available as information to the end users. Is there a way through config to restrict the use of pushbuttons based on a date?
Thanks
AJC

Thanks Nicole
I have already considered the use of Pushbutton Badi, the reason I am posting here is because restriction based on dates is not a standard implementation of HRHAP00_BUT_ACCESS, it will have to be a custom implementation.
I am aware that in the PMP (predefined process) the type of date restriction I am looking for is available through standard config. I am still looking for a solution that does not require customization. Of course if no one is aware of how to accomplish then pushbutton badi will be the solution we implement.
Thanks again

  • Performance Manager  and Data Gatherer

    Hello,
I am looking for some basic info (I think). I have been using the EM Console - standalone for some time now but would like to use the diagnostic pack and Performance Manager. Can this be used in a standalone configuration or do I need to buy Enterprise Manager? If it works in a standalone configuration and I do not need to buy it, could you point me in the direction of documentation on how to start the data gatherer on my 9i database on AIX 5?
    Thanks,

you have to find the keyword to see...
i suggest you to uninstall businessobjects and install again(else it's very hard to add the performance management program).
while you install, check the install performance management also(you have to have the keyword).

  • Performance Management - Legacy  data migration

We are going live in mid-feb. We would like to migrate the legacy appraisal data (non-SAP) into SAP Performance Management
    How do we do this?
Is it possible to create the VB , VC objects by a report. I am considering creating a transition appraisal document for this migration.

    Hi Guys
Setting of the STATUS is possible via BAPI.
Once you create the Project definition you can then use the GUID and set the status of the newly created project.
I you want to set the STATUS to anything other than RELEASE. Make sure to set it to RELEASE 1st then to wat ever you choose. You can do both all of the above before you COMMIT
Below is some nasic code which worked for me.
    *& Report  YYPY001_TEST
    REPORT  YYPY001_TEST.
    data i_trans type BAPI_TS_BUSINESS_TRANSACTION.

  • Problem Exporting Performance Management ScorecardData From MaxDB to Oracle

    Hi all,
Iu2019m using the Transporter Utility in order to move a Context from QA to Production. However i´m having the following problems to do that:
Here are the specs of my systems:
    QA System:
    - SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP 1
    - MaxDB 7.7 (DB Schema DB1)
    - SAP Strategy Management 7.5 SP06
    Production System:
    - SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP 1
    - Oracle 10.2.0.4  (DB Schema DB1)
    - SAP Strategy Management 7.5 SP06
I followed the steps from the Strategy Management Upgrade Guide 7.5:
    1) Access http:///strategy/tools
    2) Click Transporter
    3) Select Export all data (From All Databases, there are four)
    4) Click Export Database
    5) Click Download Export
    6) Open the downloaded .zip file and sort by size and checked if files have a length of 0.
On the production system I make a clean install of Strategy Management 7.5 SP06, and everything seems to be OK, but when I import the performance management scorecard data with the transporter utility, it said it's OK, and then when I look in the Administration area, I cant see the context that I want to migrate, I can only see the samples contexts that brings the SSM which I haven't imported, I imported the latest boostrap.zip.
But I can see the migrated models and test them with PAS.
(Can I create scripts from Strategy Management tables with MaxDB and then import them into Oracle?)
If anyone can help me, or has a similar problem and could fix it, I appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    David

    Hello Agudelo,
First of all, just for clarification, the models in PAS have to be transported manually between the systems, there in no export and import function. This is done independently from the transport of the scorecard databases.
For the transport of the scorecard databases, how many are then available if you use the demolauncher? You can also go to the tools page, in the Add Database options and see how many DBs were transported. If you access the administration link directly, only the contexts from the PWSAMPLE database will be displayed. You can change this property in the Java System Properties so that this link points to the administration page of a different scorecard database. If you want to see all links to all scorecard dbs, then use the /strategy/pilotworks/demolauncher.htm link.
    Best regards,
    Ricardo

  • Graphs for items that Performance Manager doesn't do

OnCommand Performance Manager has a fairly limited scope in terms of what performance it actually manages. Apparently it does capture the statistics but just doesn't show them. Despite the interface being pretty awkward to use in general, it would be nice if the range of graphs was expanded similar to what is available for 7mode. That aside, the recommendation is to use a third party system to pull the data from Performance Manager over API, for example Graphite. I'm wondering if anyone out there has setup Graphite for this purpose or have used other tools (if so, any in particular)? I was hoping to be able to see the traffic on a network interface, something that I had thought would be quick and easy, but setting up yet another tool is a bit of a speed bump.

OnCommand Performance Manager collects data only from clustered data ONTAP systems. However, there are two ways to get performance counters into Graphite (or any 3rd party monitoring tool): * API feed from Performance Manager - benefit - best quality metrics due to proprietery counter post processing not available through ZAPI* Collect counters from cluster using ZAPI and push into Graphite Our solution for customers using both 7-mode and Clustered data ONTAP uses both options concurrently so that in Graphite you are able to see metrics for your entire NetApp estate. This can be put together by customers today. What we are working on is a simplified pre-packaging of the above - allowing "quick start". Best,Yossi

  • Pre-Populate Data in HRMS Performance Management

    Hi experts !
My question may be a bit basic as I am not an expert on HRMS but if anyone one can give me a hint , will really appreciate the help.
Our customer is using the performance management module (appraisals) for capturing the annual reports of employees. Moreover, the assignment history is also being captured. My question is regarding a use case. If an employee has performed her duties under a specific supervisor, her annual report is also suppoed to be written by that specific supervisor even if at the time of annual report e.g 1 Jan of each year, she has moved to the other department.  Moreover, based on the nature of job, a group of employees have a specific appraisal form which we have customized.
My question is that is it possible in the standard performance management module that it automatically populates the dates an employee had performed under that specific supervisor and based on the job of the employee, the relevant form is also selected.
I hope my question makes a bit of sense and is answerable.
    Really appreciate your response.

So i revert back the vo extension and i tried by extending the controller and added where clause after

You can do that by simply sorting the alv display by <b>object type</b>, all the data after that will be group according to its object type and the object type will only be printed once.

  • Oracle Performance Management doubts

    Hi All,
I have some questions related to Oracle performance management and hope they will get answered over here:-
Que1. The weight of all objective should be 100 but in my case it is allowing any value. What I need to do to restrict it?
Que2. Can we do objective setting and Appraisal process simultaneously? That would be allocate objective and rating in parallel?
Que3. When and how the rating provided by manager would reflect in the Performance (People --> Assignment --> other --> Performance) widow and what would be the effective date. I have completed all setup and process but the final rating is still not available.
Que4. What is difference between Talent management, Performance management and Workforce performance Management?
Que5. When I include the Appraisal in the PMP and select the Appraisal template (that just has final rating) and click on the "Go to Task" against "Manage appraisals" (to initiate it) I do not see anything. Do we/manager need to create plan every time using the link Appraisal.
Sorry for asking too many questions.
    Thanks,
    Avinash

Que1. The weight of all objective should be 100 but in my case it is allowing any value. What I need to do to restrict it?
ANS : This is a seeded one. If you want to restrict it you have to customize the page.
Que2. Can we do objective setting and Appraisal process simultaneously? That would be allocate objective and rating in parallel?
ANS : There is a checkbox "Allow Objective Setting outside of the period" (something like that).
Que4. What is difference between Talent management, Performance management and Workforce performance Management?
ANS: AFAIK, Oracle Talent Management and Oracle Performance Management are same. Prior to Oracle Performance Management, the module name was Oracle Talent Management.
Que5. When I include the Appraisal in the PMP and select the Appraisal template (that just has final rating) and click on the "Go to Task" against "Manage appraisals" (to initiate it) I do not see anything. Do we/manager need to create plan every time using the link Appraisal.
ANS : You can schedule the concurrent program, "Mass Appraisal Creation".
    Hope it helps!.

  • Replacimg performance Manager with SSM(SAP Strategy management)

    Hi,
Can any body tell me  how to migrate all the scorecards, KPIs  based on Performance Manager to SAP Strategy Management. Is there is a tool for that in SSM if not should those be rebuilt in SSM from the scratch.
how do we replicate everything fromPM to  SSM
From the developer perspective what will their tasks.
    Edited by: chrisbaker1999 on Jun 16, 2011 1:01 PM

    Chris,
What the External Data Loader does is to allow you to transfer your scorecard structure from Performance Manager to Strategy Management. What you are importing is the structure of Contexts, Perspectives, Objectives and KPI aspects. It allows you to put all of these in the loader, verify the structure in the loader, and then using Transport to bring into SSM.
There are additional definitions and settings that SSM requires that will have to be added after you Transport the loader's data.
You will still have to build PAS models separately, because the External Data Loader does not build models.
The Transporter tool in SSM allows you to export (and then import) your scorecard metadata from DEV to PROD. Moving between systems is a two-step process, and Transporter is step one. PAS is separate (step two) and you make a dump of the model in your DEV system, take that dump file from the Home directory in DEV and move it to the Home directory in PROD. In the PROD system you create a new PAS model frame and then load that dump into the new framework.
Each SAP customer has a super-administrator that can add users to the SAP Service Marketplace. Find out who your super-admin is and get yourself added to allow you access to those areas on Service Marketplace.

  • Can i use "Oracle Database 12c: Performance Management and Tuning " training for getting certification on "Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning 1Z0-054"

i have taken "Oracle Database 12c: Performance Management and Tuning new" training from oracle university. Now i would like to get certified on "Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning 1Z0-054" exam. Is it possible ?

I essentially endorse and refer you to Matthews' and John's post above.
I would differ with slightly with Matthew because my guess is you would often be able to use like for like 12c training for an 11g certification ( I believe there are precedents).  BEFORE ANYONE ASKS THE OTHER WAY DOESN'T HAPPEN.
.... but totally concur with Matthew you would ill advised to procede on that basis without one of:
    - This being advertised as possible on the website : e.g. https://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=654&get_params=p_id:169 ... option 2 show courses.
    - Confirmation from Brandye
    - Confirmation from an Oracle Certification Support Web Ticket ( http://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/OU_SUPPORT_OCP.home?p_source=OCP )
... The more common (and in my opinion usually better) way would be get your 11g DBA OCP ( or higher first) and then take the 1z0-054.  I am almost certain they will accept your 12c course for the 11g DBA OCP.
If you are choosing the route of not being a 11g (or 12c ) DBA OCP first but are on option 2 and relying on the course for certification then the issue is more in the balance and you are even more strongly advised to get confirmation before proceding (remember if the rules need to be changed for you only then any profit out of the exam is lost).
In general my understanding is Oracle would prefer to encourage people to train on the latest version of product that is available for training  and will prefer to avoid restrictions which would cause you to train at a lower version.  ( This is simply my guess at Oracle University Policy ... personal opinion only).
Having said all I have said I'd encourage you to go with the advice of the earlier two posts.

  • Configuration Error in EPM 11.1.2 in Performance management Architect

    Hi All,
I Installed 11.1.2 in my laptop but database configuration in Performance Architect Database got failed.
When i select Configure database for the Performance management architect i am getting a popup window which says _"The Oracle Data Access Client is not Installed"_.
I clicked on ok on the popup window and clicked on next and after that i am getting Configuring database is getting failed in the configuration window.
Let me know if anyone got this type of issue and let me know how you resolved this issue.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Siva..

It is important to install the Full database client as part of the installation, because the PATH variable is updated to include the path to the bin folder of the Oracle client.
Make sure ODP.net (Oracle data provider) and ASP.net component of Oracle client are installed on your system. when you do Oracle cleint install, these components are not installed by default and this could lead to configuration failure.
You need to do custom installation of Oracle client and select these components to make sure they are on your system.
    Cheers,
    Jasmine.

  • Spend Performance Management

    Hi,
In spend performance management we have inbound layer, outbound layer, Reporting layer and multiprovider.
Tha data is passing from one layer to another layer i.e inbound to outbound like...
But here my question is where is the data coming from and updated in Inbound layer...
In, Inbound layer consists of all DSO.
    Regards
    KS

Just to add to to Rohit's Response. As he mentioned, data into Inbound layer is via Direct Update  when you trigger data load from SPM UI there are a bunch of API's that run in the background and get data nd update the Inbound DSO's.
Next would be moving Data to Detail layer. We do something called as SEND Process in SPM UI and that generates E files in the application server. Then we load these E Files ( Raw Data Files - Out of Inbound DSO's ) , we do Data Standardization and Enrichment basically Data Cleansing of E files and then load these E flles back and thats when we move the data into detail layer DSO's.
Next would be reporting layer , here we move data from Detail DSO to Cubes using the process of release to reporting and thats when Data Classification happens and this would also ensure that data is available for reporting .
@ Rohit correct me if I am wrong.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
