Performance Manager graphs "export" via url

Hi, I am using performance manager (I think).... when I do a Help->About->Configuration I get this : Application name: NetApp Management Console Version: 3.3 Build number: 3.3.0.7209 Installation directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\NetApp\Management Console Java VM OS Architecture: x86 OS Name: Windows Server 2008 R2 OS Version: 6.1 Java VM Name: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM Java Version: 1.6.0_29 Java Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc. Java Free Memory: 22.0 MB Java Total Memory: 93.1 MB Java Max Memory: 494.9 MB DFM Version: 5.2.0.16233 (5.2) DFM Serial Number: 1-50-122030 DFM Host Name: ilcwdfm01 DFM Node Limit: 250 (currently managing 8) Provisioning Node Limit: 250 (currently managing 8) Protection Node Limit: 250 (currently managing 8) DFM OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) x64 based DFM CPU Count: 2 DFM System Memory: 8191 DFM Install Directory: C:/Program Files/NetApp/DataFabric Manager/DFM DFM System Time: Aug 08, 2015 08:08:25 PM Data ONTAP Operating Mode: 7-Mode So, the question is..... *I* can see the graph that I'm interested in - it's a volume IOPS graph. However, I want *others* to be able to see that graph, too - not necessarily admins (ie, management types). I don't want them to have to log into the app to see it, either. In some docs I've seen an option called "copy link to page", which seems like EXACTLY what I'd like to do - copy the link to the page I'm looking at, and then send that link to the others that I want to be able to see it.  (see https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1552961/html/GUID-E000CFC4-C568-4181-AAB5-790BF331FD6C.html). However, that option does not show up under my "Actions" pulldown, like the link above says it should. Does anyone know where to find this option, and/or how to acomplish the same thing ? I was thinking there must be a "standard" url that points to these types of graphs, but can't find any reference to that, though.     Thanks,      John

Hi John, From the output you shared it looks like you using Performance Advisor and want to share a graph of a 7-mode system.  The instructions link you shared is from Performance Manager which is for Clustered Data ONTAP only.  In the Performance Advisor there is unfortunately no way to share a link.  You can 'save as' to png as you probably already saw, or you can use the dfm CLI to generate the same and email, perhaps as a daily report.  There is also a data collector that will post to the NetApp ToolChest that submits data to Graphite with dashboards in Grafana.  This solution would allow sharing of a URL like you desire.  If you want more info on this let me know. Kind Regards,Chris MaddenStorage Architect, NetApp

  • OnCommand Performance Manager CPU Graphs?

All, Does the OnCommand Performance Manager CPU graphs report average CPU utilization or ANY load? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi, As per the documentation: Cluster CPU TimeDisplays a graph of the CPU usage time, in ms, for all nodes in the cluster used by the selected workload. The graph displays the combined CPU usage time for network processing and data processing. The CPU time for system-defined workloads that are associated to the selected workload, and are using the same nodes for data processing, is also included. You can use the chart to determine if the workload is a high consumer of the CPU resources on the cluster. You can also use the chart, in combination with the Reads/writes latency chart under the Response Time chart, or the Reads/writes/other chart under the Operations chart, to determine how changes to workload activity over time impact cluster CPU utilization. Thanks

  • Problem Exporting Performance Management ScorecardData From MaxDB to Oracle

    Hi all,
Iu2019m using the Transporter Utility in order to move a Context from QA to Production. However i´m having the following problems to do that:
Here are the specs of my systems:
    QA System:
    - SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP 1
    - MaxDB 7.7 (DB Schema DB1)
    - SAP Strategy Management 7.5 SP06
    Production System:
    - SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP 1
    - Oracle 10.2.0.4  (DB Schema DB1)
    - SAP Strategy Management 7.5 SP06
I followed the steps from the Strategy Management Upgrade Guide 7.5:
    1) Access http:///strategy/tools
    2) Click Transporter
    3) Select Export all data (From All Databases, there are four)
    4) Click Export Database
    5) Click Download Export
    6) Open the downloaded .zip file and sort by size and checked if files have a length of 0.
On the production system I make a clean install of Strategy Management 7.5 SP06, and everything seems to be OK, but when I import the performance management scorecard data with the transporter utility, it said it's OK, and then when I look in the Administration area, I cant see the context that I want to migrate, I can only see the samples contexts that brings the SSM which I haven't imported, I imported the latest boostrap.zip.
But I can see the migrated models and test them with PAS.
(Can I create scripts from Strategy Management tables with MaxDB and then import them into Oracle?)
If anyone can help me, or has a similar problem and could fix it, I appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    David

    Hello Agudelo,
First of all, just for clarification, the models in PAS have to be transported manually between the systems, there in no export and import function. This is done independently from the transport of the scorecard databases.
For the transport of the scorecard databases, how many are then available if you use the demolauncher? You can also go to the tools page, in the Add Database options and see how many DBs were transported. If you access the administration link directly, only the contexts from the PWSAMPLE database will be displayed. You can change this property in the Java System Properties so that this link points to the administration page of a different scorecard database. If you want to see all links to all scorecard dbs, then use the /strategy/pilotworks/demolauncher.htm link.
    Best regards,
    Ricardo

  • Graphs for items that Performance Manager doesn't do

OnCommand Performance Manager has a fairly limited scope in terms of what performance it actually manages. Apparently it does capture the statistics but just doesn't show them. Despite the interface being pretty awkward to use in general, it would be nice if the range of graphs was expanded similar to what is available for 7mode. That aside, the recommendation is to use a third party system to pull the data from Performance Manager over API, for example Graphite. I'm wondering if anyone out there has setup Graphite for this purpose or have used other tools (if so, any in particular)? I was hoping to be able to see the traffic on a network interface, something that I had thought would be quick and easy, but setting up yet another tool is a bit of a speed bump.

OnCommand Performance Manager collects data only from clustered data ONTAP systems. However, there are two ways to get performance counters into Graphite (or any 3rd party monitoring tool): * API feed from Performance Manager - benefit - best quality metrics due to proprietery counter post processing not available through ZAPI* Collect counters from cluster using ZAPI and push into Graphite Our solution for customers using both 7-mode and Clustered data ONTAP uses both options concurrently so that in Graphite you are able to see metrics for your entire NetApp estate. This can be put together by customers today. What we are working on is a simplified pre-packaging of the above - allowing "quick start". Best,Yossi

  • Performance Management - Legacy  data migration

We are going live in mid-feb. We would like to migrate the legacy appraisal data (non-SAP) into SAP Performance Management
    How do we do this?
Is it possible to create the VB , VC objects by a report. I am considering creating a transition appraisal document for this migration.

    Hi Guys
Setting of the STATUS is possible via BAPI.
Once you create the Project definition you can then use the GUID and set the status of the newly created project.
I you want to set the STATUS to anything other than RELEASE. Make sure to set it to RELEASE 1st then to wat ever you choose. You can do both all of the above before you COMMIT
Below is some nasic code which worked for me.

  • Error on Flexible Performance Management Appraisal Document

    Hello Experts,
We are in the process of building Performance Management using Enhancement Package 4 in ECC 6.0. I am having issues with getting the Appraisal Document to work for MSS. Just to clarify too, I have no experience with Performance Management and the fact that we are using Enhancement package 4, our Functional consultants are not sure what to expect either. One more thing, the SICF service is activated.
*) When trying to preview the Appraisal Document (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.hap_document), I am receiving a Portal Run Time error.
*) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Application HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT, I am receiving u2018Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.u2019
*) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Configuration HAP_AC_MAIN_DOC, I am receiving u201Cu2018Error in Calling Up Applicationu2019 The Web Dynpro application was called up with the wrong URL parametersu201D.
    QUESTIONS:
    1) Do I have to implement Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) to call the appraisal document?
    2) Is there any special configuration that needs to be done to make the HAP_MAIN_DOC work (portal or R/3)?
    3) Do I need to manually create an SICF service for this?
    4) Is there any documentation on how to implement the Flexible?
    Any direction would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Mike

    Hello H2R,
I copied the Iview Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) with Application Name 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS' and the Application Configuration Name 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC'.
Activated the SICF services of 'hap_main_document', 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC', 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS. Also, I would activate the services that begin with 'HAP' that l thought that I would need.
    In SE80, there are 2 locations to find these Applications: 1) Web Dynpro Comp./Intf. = FPM_OIF_COMPONENT and 2) Package = PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UI.

  • Performance Manager - How to purge ALL metrics?

Is there a way that I can purge all the metrics within Performance Manager without having to go and select one metric item at a time and purging it?

    Hi Gavin,
Via DM, selecting individual metrics and purging them is the only way, and as per desribed in the post above.
However, though not recommended at all, and should be done with extreme caution... You can truncate the CI_PROBE_VALUES table in the repository, but you will also need to update the CI_PROBE table by setting the refresh dates again. This process also entails stoping the AAxxx servers and restarting them after you truncated and updated the tables. Again CAUTION, but it can be done.
Then, there is the other way using the PMDT tool. Again you need to understand how and what it is capable of. You will export all the assets to the XML files. Remove the universe(s) in the setup tab and add it again. Then import the XML files with the assets again into the repository. Remember, removing the universe(s) is as good as reseting the repository...
Also, depending to what extent you are using EPM, choose these methods carefully. Else start clicking away and purging them individually...
    Regards
    Jacques

  • Performance Manager LUN latency

Hello,Can you tell me if I can see LUN layer latency in OnCommand Performance Manager ? I can see the LUNs on volume but performance data seems to be gathered only on Volume level. Can I see it also on LUN level? And another question - is there any way to disable performance alerts until certain latency? F.e. I don't want to see alerts for 5ms latency especially as they are logged as critical. It really makes no sense so for the moment I have disabled all performance alerts.

  • 404 NOT FOUND -- Performance management in portal.

    Dear Gurus,
I have configured the WD UI based flexible appraisal process in the SAP Backend and it seems to be working fine when I test it via SE80 -

Now the problem is from portal end.
I have gone through the SAP provided notes mentioned below..and the portal consultant has configured the EP accordingly.

  • Replacimg performance Manager with SSM(SAP Strategy management)

    Hi,
Can any body tell me  how to migrate all the scorecards, KPIs  based on Performance Manager to SAP Strategy Management. Is there is a tool for that in SSM if not should those be rebuilt in SSM from the scratch.
how do we replicate everything fromPM to  SSM
From the developer perspective what will their tasks.
    Edited by: chrisbaker1999 on Jun 16, 2011 1:01 PM

    Chris,
What the External Data Loader does is to allow you to transfer your scorecard structure from Performance Manager to Strategy Management. What you are importing is the structure of Contexts, Perspectives, Objectives and KPI aspects. It allows you to put all of these in the loader, verify the structure in the loader, and then using Transport to bring into SSM.
There are additional definitions and settings that SSM requires that will have to be added after you Transport the loader's data.
You will still have to build PAS models separately, because the External Data Loader does not build models.
The Transporter tool in SSM allows you to export (and then import) your scorecard metadata from DEV to PROD. Moving between systems is a two-step process, and Transporter is step one. PAS is separate (step two) and you make a dump of the model in your DEV system, take that dump file from the Home directory in DEV and move it to the Home directory in PROD. In the PROD system you create a new PAS model frame and then load that dump into the new framework.
Each SAP customer has a super-administrator that can add users to the SAP Service Marketplace. Find out who your super-admin is and get yourself added to allow you access to those areas on Service Marketplace.

  • PDF Error in Performance Management

    Hi
When launching the Performance Management link from Manager Self Service (Role) --> Talent Management --> Performance Management I am getting the PDF error. Seems the page is trying to open the form in PDF, instead I want it to be displayed in html itself.
For Travel Expense form I have changed the URL parameter "sap.xss.tra.UsePdf=true" for the resource EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_TRIPFORM_SRV05.
What is the PCD Object and the resource key for the corresponding Performance Management iView.
    Thanks,
    Murthy

Did you get this error in the initial landing page?
Please detail out the error. And for the pcd location, it depends on the role you created unless you are using standard objects.
This iview should have a webdynpro application.

  • Spend Performance Management

    Hi,
In spend performance management we have inbound layer, outbound layer, Reporting layer and multiprovider.
Tha data is passing from one layer to another layer i.e inbound to outbound like...
But here my question is where is the data coming from and updated in Inbound layer...
In, Inbound layer consists of all DSO.
    Regards
    KS

Just to add to to Rohit's Response. As he mentioned, data into Inbound layer is via Direct Update  when you trigger data load from SPM UI there are a bunch of API's that run in the background and get data nd update the Inbound DSO's.
Next would be moving Data to Detail layer. We do something called as SEND Process in SPM UI and that generates E files in the application server. Then we load these E Files ( Raw Data Files - Out of Inbound DSO's ) , we do Data Standardization and Enrichment basically Data Cleansing of E files and then load these E flles back and thats when we move the data into detail layer DSO's.
Next would be reporting layer , here we move data from Detail DSO to Cubes using the process of release to reporting and thats when Data Classification happens and this would also ensure that data is available for reporting .
@ Rohit correct me if I am wrong.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
