Performance of ITS interface to SRM

We have a Windows OS server with two instances of WAS: one for SRM and the other for XI. SRM web interface via ITS works fine when XI Java stack is down. Once the XI Java stack is started, the SRM web interface suffers
significant performance deterioration. We can still access SRM via SAP client GUI but the SRM web interface experiences major delays. It appears that when XI Java stack is started, it hogs the resources commonly used by ITS (interfacing to SRM) and the Java stack.

Hello Amjad.
What are the hardware specifications for the server?
Best regards,
Jacob

No, it will hurt your battery, but it is not recommended by Apple. Additionally, since you have a model with a removable battery, you should calibrate the battery once a month if you leave it plugged in at all times.

Advice on constructing a test engine and formatting a spreadsheet test file to perform command line interface testing on a range of products through telnet or serial interface and output pass/fail results.

If I understand correctly, you want to do the following:
    1. Create one or more tab-delimited files that specify a series of query strings (that LabVIEW will send to your products) and expected reply strings (that LabVIEW will look for in response to each query)
    2. Run your LabVIEW program (the test engine) and have it execute one or more test scripts from file using either TCP/IP or serial communication to your units under test
    3. Track how many of the queries are met with the expected response, and output an indication of whether each step passed or failed
If this is close to correct, then I've attached a sample test file and LabVIEW VI as an example; I chose the TCP/telnet method because it allowed me to use the ni.com Web site to simulate my tes
t hardware. If you happen to own the LabVIEW Internet Toolkit, there's a VI called "Telnet Play Script" in the Telnet palette that does something fairly similar using TCP. The same general model would also work for Serial communications.
    Hope it helps,

Advice on constructing a test engine and formatting a spreadsheet test file to perform command line interface testing on a range of products through telnet or serial interface and output pass/fail results.

    Hello j. smith,
TestStand gives you the ability to create "sequence files" which are lists of tests to be run sequentially or in parallel. These tests can be written in any language: LabVIEW VIs, C/C++ DLLs, EXEs, ActiveX objects, .NET Assemblies, etc.
You can run your TestStand sequence files from a command-line prompt using the following syntax:
    \bin\SeqEdit.exe" /quit -run
This will launch the TestStand Sequence Editor (and optionally prompt you for TestStand login information if you have this configured), run your sequence file, then exit.
If you're using the TestStand process model, it can output your results to a report file or database if you configure this. To use a TestStand process mo
del to execute your sequence file, use the following syntax:
    \bin\SeqEdit.exe" /quit -runEntryPoint
    Here's an example:
    C:\>"C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 3.0\bin\SeqEdit.exe" /quit -runEntryPoint "Single Pass" "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 3.0\Examples\Demo\C\computer.seq"
Note that multiple sequences and sequence files can be specified on the command line.
TestStand supports remote sequence execution using DCOM (Distributed COM), which is an east way to remotely execute tests. But as for running tests or commands through a telnet or serial interface, you would have need to check Windows documentation on how to execute command-line remotely like this.

  • Has adobe adopted the compound math feature like quark has in its interface.

I am currently working with CS3. Has adobe adopted the compound math feature like quark has in its interface.
For instance If I want to duplicate an item 29/6" vertically but I know that that step should be 1/8" short, in quark I can type 29/6-.125, or 29/6-1/8. Either method will give me 4.708333. Same issue when I just want to draw a box a specific size minus or plus 15/64 or an inch. Adobe forces me to look up the decimal equivalent before I enter it or I will get the message: "INVALID NUMERIC VALUE"
This applies to all adobe products I use.
This really slows production down and I hope CS5 allows this now.

Seriously Bob, Seriously. Quark has had this feature for 20+ years.
Quick, do the following, draw a box or a line or anything.
    Now move it to here.
    2.0416 in +3/64 -7pt -3in -9.7mm
I can type this verbatim in qxd and end up with what I want, I CANNOT do this in any adobe product that I currently use.
There is nothing wrong with my attitude, this is a feature that I use daily in my work and having indd and ill require me to look up decimal equivalents of inch fractions is not productive.
If my priorities do not match your priorities why does that make mine a total mess?
Oooh Gotchew on that one. Gotchew on that one. You have no answer for that.
"Hard to believe all the cool stuff you still can't do with Quark, too."
I don't like one app over another I use both daily but indd seems more stable. If you want to argue Toyota vs Chevy, go ahead. I think one software company should look at competing products and implement functionally positive features in their own.
I suppose to carry my analogy further, Adobe may have added nice features like a sunroof, and power windows but has not added power steering like their competitor has had for 20+ years. I really don't use the "Cool Stuff" in the products I manufacture.
I will waste no more time here and will simply flood the company with this feature request as I have been doing.

  • Customizing performance threshold for interface utilization in LMS 4.0

Am running LMS 4.0, i want to customize performance threshold for interface utilization from the default 40% to x%, please help.

Based on your other post, I think you're talking about Device Fault management.  You can go to Monitor > Fault Settings > Setup > Threshold Settings, and select the DFM > System Defined Groups > Interface and the interface type you want, then edit the thresholds for this group.  Change the default utilization threshold from 40% to your desired value.  Save your changes, then go to Monitor > Fault Settings > Setup > Apple Changes to apply them.

  • Does OEM 12c keeps track of tasks performed by its users

    HI All,
Does OEM keep track of all the tasks performed on it by user. Suppose a user say "A" has created a group or incident rule and a user "B" deleted the group or incident rule created by user "A". Now can the sysman user or "A" user would anyway know the fact that the user "B" has actually deleted them. So does OEM keeps the tasks performed by its users somewhere where it can be checked and confirmed?
    Thanks in Advance!

Yes, EM has it's own auditing, although it is set up at a minimal level to begin with including EM login/logout.  You would want to enable additional auditing to monitor this type of activity.  See the Security Guide for more information:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e36415/sec_features.htm#CJAIEIDD
In addition, since this is a target delete scenario, there's a query you can run to see the time of deletion, but not who deleted it:
    select entity_type, entity_name, created_date, deleted_date
    from gc_manageable_entities_hist
    where entity_name = <group>;
Perhaps between the two you can deduce who was logged in at the time of the delete.

But how is this used in our context?

  • Integration or interface to SRM

    Hi,
I need some information on integrating SRM system with non SAP system. Can any one among you share your knowledge what is exact process of communicating SRM with non SAP backend system and how do we send the bulk data to SRM to carry out the business.I mean what kind of interfaces used to communicate both the systems.Your useful information can solve our problem.Presently we are trying to develop a tool which is based on SRM.Maximum points will be awarded.
    regards,
    IGA

You may design your interfaces using XI as middleware.
3rd party system can communicate with XI and then XI to SRM system. Creating bulk data using interfaces is possible in SRM.

  • Get a better performance with audio interface?

    Hi all.
I got a silly question. I run Logic 7 on a Powerbook G4 12" with 1.33 Ghz and (only) 768 Mb RAM and a (hard to built in) 160 Gb Harddrive.
After having often the "Disk is too slow..." message I was thinking about buying a external audio interface (presonus firebox).
My simple question is: does an external audio interface give Logic (or CoreAudio) more free DSP-Power? So that maybe I got a better performance? Or do I need to get something like a TC Powercore Firewire?
An answer would be great ... otherwise I have to sell my nice and small 12incher and buy an Intelbook ...
    Thanks. Frank.
    Powerbook G4 12" 1.33 Ghz Mac OS X (10.4.8)

A new audio interface won't help.
You should start by getting an external 7200 RPM Firewire drive to put your audio on. That right there will help, especially with higher track counts.
Secondly, get more RAM. 768 of RAM is borderline for Logic. I always recommend at least 1 gig. Go ahead and max out that Powerbook to 2 gig of RAM, if you can.
All that to say, an Intel mac would be a huge improvement over the Powerbook. And if you do go that route, still get an external FW drive for audio, and as much RAM as you can afford.

  • VLC refuses to integrate video into its interface

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. The option is, of course, checked under preferences and I've messed with VLC's configuration as much as possible, as well as remove the current config files to try and restore it to defaults, but no matter what I do VLC always displays video outside of its controls. This is also causing a problem with fullscreen videos as VLC doesn't display the pop-up controls that it would if the video was contained in the interface.
Anyone else with the problem? Any solutions?

I just went back to vlc-0.9.3-5 for now until vlc fixes it.

  • Create an interface for SRM , RFQ

    Hi ;
I am trying to develop an interface in XI to post 'Request For Quotation' into SRM system. Can anybody help me on this.. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

    Hi,
In XI you will seeing the namespace http://sap.com/xi/EBP. In that you will have the interface RequestForQuotationResponse_CreateOrChange_In. Use this interface directly as inbound interface and it will be having the message type and data type.
So you create outbound datatype, message type, messageinterface and do message mapping and interface mapping as your requirement.
So your scenario will be like File - XI - Proxy etc. I dont know how you are getting your source. So Source instead of file it may change depending upon your requirement.

    Hi,
yes, Karsten is correct. Just some background:
"User Mapping not fully available.." finally means that user mapping is configured to use strong encryption, but the main crypto key for user mapping is missing. Usually, that's because "SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit" and/or "JCE policy files for unlimited strength encryption" are not installed (or the server hasn't be restarted afterwards). The note will most likely help
