Performance report in ops center.
It is possible to create performance reports in ops center like PRM module in SunMC is doing for CPU Usage, Disk, Memory, Network.. etc.. ?

Hi Antonio,
You can also look at the Halcyon Neuron Performance Manager (http://www.halcyoninc.com/products/PerformanceManager/index.php). It hooks into Ops Center and/or SunMC to automate a lot of the reports (on top of what Ops Center provides out-of-the-box).
Note: I work for Halcyon, but part of my day job is also deploying and configuring Ops Center, so I hope this post is considered relevant.

Is there a way to schedule a report in Ops Center 12c on SMF services chang
We are looking for a way to report on Solaris SMF changes (needed for PCI DSS). for example: If telnet service is enabled or disabled.
We are using Enterprise Manager Ops Center 12c which alerts on SMF changes. but we would like to baseline the SMF enabled services and or run/schedule a report on which SMF service's are enable/disabled, compare host-A to host-B.
Enterprise Manager Ops Center 12c has the knowledge of all that. the question is, if we can generate a report with the SMF changes?

BI Service do not allow consumers to select the document instance they want their data from. You can only get the data from document latest instance (in case it is scheduled) or from the user instance in their inbox (in case document is published) from the two corresponding call input parameter (getFromLatestInstance and getFromUserInstance).
We are considering an improvement to allow consumers to select the document instance to use, but we are still in the process of gathering user feedback in order to implement this in the most convenient way (as we find challenging for consumers to know which instance are actually available when web service is called, and have them identify the one they request as well).
Any idea or feedback is welcome.

Configuring email alerts in Ops Center
Hi all,
I have been struggling quite a while to get email alerts working from Ops Center with no success in 11g nor 12c. In the Ops Center GUI, Administration -> EC -> Local Users -> configured user to receive all alerts and emails. I have also configured email relay host correctly(checked a million times).
Sending emails from the host through the email relay works fine, so I'm baffled.

GT70 2PC – Software testing and performance report.
It is so excited here again. Currently, my first/only object after work is playing Titanfall.
I intended to share another performance testing today. But I didn’t. I found there are too many great open box posts on different forums. Therefore, I decide to dig the MSI software compatibility and do a touring. What can I say? I’m Mr.Curiosity who really desires to know every built-in application in system. That is why I share this article with you, my friends. I would like to discuss with everybody who is interested in MSI software. Of course, I have some performance reports for you, too. Please also remind me if you find any typo/wrong in this post. Thanks in advance.
1. MSI Boot Configure
This is the first software which pops up immediately. It is thoughtful design because we can choose enter the [Windows 8.1 metro] or [desktop] by ourselves now. I give it two thumbs up!!!
Select your favorite boot configuration and press [OK]. If we want it work immdiately, we can logout the system and re-login again.
2. MSI Remind Manager
Honestly, I didn’t know what it is in the beginning. The cute robot shows every time when I login the system. I found this is a reminder for product registration. Good, I would like to have best MSI support and warranty for my lovely GT70 2PC. But don’t worry, if you don’t want to get this message again, you just need to select the right option and close it.
3. Synaptics TouchPad
This is a driver for mouse. [Mouse property] will show if we do the double clicks on TouchPad icon in tray. You can choose enable/disable internal pointing device when external pointing device is attached. This is brilliant. A tough guy (like me…HA! HA!) didn’t like to play game with touchpad. Because the character in game will be weak and slow if I control it by touchpad. Of course, I need the external mouse all the time and don’t want the interference from touchpad.
4. System Control Manager (SCM)
We can enable/disable the WLAN/BT/camera devices by SCM. Besides, it can control the display brightness, volume, screen on/off and ECO. ECO is special mode for gaming watching movie.
5. Sound Blaster CINEMA
Sound Blaster CINEMA is come from an old school audio company – CREATIVE. The software can adjust the surround sound easily. We also can adjust 5.1/7.1 surround sound for the internal speakers and external headphone. That is great, isn’t it?
Besides, we can also adjust CRYSTALIZER/BASS/SMART VOLUME/digital output by ourselves.
6. Killer Network Manager
This is a major feature of MSI NB.
In Killer Network Manager, we can set the network priority for each of applications and we also can abandon the connection from malicious software.
[Performance] shows current status of network. We can find out which application occupied the most greedy resources by it.
[Network -> Test Network Speed] will detect the network environment automatically. Furthermore, it will adjust the priority for applications.
[Killer Ethernet] show the LAN connection info.
[Killer Wireless] show the router info.
7. SteelSeries Engine
This is another major feature of MSI NB
If we do the right click on icon in tray, the menu will show following list. We can select [Launch SteelSeries Firmware Update Tool], [Updates]…and so on.
If we select the [Settings]. It can help us change default language and set application auto running when system power on.
I. Buttons
Double click to open the SteelSeries Engine. I think it can set 4 different keyboard settings for each of profiles. And it can switch by FN+1~4.
[Keypress Marc] can record what you input. And [Record Delays ] can modify the delay time. HA! No game can block us anymore. Please remember to press the [SAVE] for your setting
[Launch Application] can launch any application immediately. I suggest to set the cold key for this function.
Here is example. I use [PgUp] to quick start the 3D Mark11. See, it will pop up when I pressed [PgUp].
It is simple to use [TextMarco] set our own phrase. Now I become a quick speaker in my team. One key, only one key can help me to type a lot of words.
Are you tired to press some keys that you never want to touch in game (Like WIN KEY)? It is not the problem now. [Disable Key] will do the favor and disable any key which you hate.
II. [Colors] can change the color of backlight keyboard. Also, you can set different modes (Gaming/Audio…etc) on it.
We can change the color zone. There is not only 4 or 5 colors. The engine provides thousands of colors for us. [Audio mode] is the coolest. It will change colors by itself when we play music by speakers. I like to dance with my keyboard.
III. We can select different languages by [Settings].
IV. [Properties] can save our hard works of settings reliably.
V. If you want to defeat your competitors, it is important to know your enemy. However, It is more important to know yourself. [Statistics] can help us observe which keys are most popular by our fingers.
Right click on [Profile]. It can modify/export/import/delete the profiles.
Mouse can use the same kind of settings as keyboard.
DPI setting for mouse.
Save files.
We can record the mouse, too.
8. Norton
Norton Internet Security: Anti-Virus software, MSI provides 60 days for free.
Norton Online Backup: Online data backup software, MSI provides 30 days for free.
Norton Anti-Theft: Anti-Theft software, MSI provides 30 days for free.
If you like Norton’s products, you can buy it online.
If you don’t, I believe we can uninstall it directly.
So, the decision is ours.

9. Dragon Gaming Center
I. System Monitor:
It can monitor CPU/GPU loading and temperature. We also can find the network speed and fan speed in it.
II. Utility:
You can set your favorite apps in [Add new Utility].
E.g. I added a [MSI Afterburner]. Click [Open] to build the link. Do you feel familiar with something? Exactly, [Launch Application] of [SteelSeries Engine] can do this, too.
III. Instant Play:
We can define [Fn+F4] to enable the quick start. But there is more secret.
We can also use [Browse] to assign the game which we want.
Click the icon of game and [Fn+F4] will be ready. We can only use 1 program at once.
I usually change the brightness, volume and mouse sensitive before the game. As you know, every games are different. It is sweet because we can use [Apply Setting] to do this.
I can’t believe it. We also can find the clock feature in it. How convenient it is!
IV. Hybrid Power is another MSI feature.
It can provide the power by AC adapter and battery in the same time. We can monitor the status in here.
10. BurnRecovery
It can create the recovery CD/DVD/USB for MSI NB.
Here can select Recovery disc/USB/ISO.
I will make a ISO file first.
We can select where to put the ISO.
Creating the recovery file...
Finish!
Open the folder and we can find 4 ISO files in it.
Well…[BurnRecovery Help] provide the details spec.
In my opinion, everyone should create their own recovery image. You will need it in one day.
11. Battery Calibration
This is software for battery calibration. In order to keep our battery good, we should do the calibration every three months. Don’t forget to plug-in the AC adapter and battery during the process..
Press [Start] to begin the process. It will make the battery fully charged first.
Then, it will empty the battery like this.
System will shut down after the empty process. At last, fully charged again. It will take 4~5 hrs to complete the process.

13. Super-Charger
There is no message when I click this app at the first time. But when I attached my IPAD, it pops up the [Super-Charger]. It is amazing because IPAD can’t be charge by this USB port. As far as I know, the USB 3.0 only provides maximum 900mA for its device. IPAD will need 2.1A for charge process. I have no idea how MSI NB make IPAD charging okay.
14. XSplit GameCaster
This is one of important features. I saw many different first class gaming machines this year. All of them have the broadcast software. (Like PS4, Xbos ONE)
It can switch the default language after we login.
Twitch/YouTube / Facebook/ Twitter/Google+ can be used by [Accounts]. It is easy to start the live show.
We can modify the resolution and use twitch by [Setting]
We can configure FPS/CPU loading/where to show on display by [Status label].
Hotkey configuration.
Videos storage.
Press [Ctrl+Tab] to call Gamecaster in game. And we can twitch or modify setting. I will provide my gaming video for you later.
15. Power DVD
This is a famous video player. Also, it can support BD format.
We can use the [Setting] to change our language.
We can change 5 times for default country .
It is glad that I’ve finished the introduction of GT70 software.

Report - P&L Report by Profit Center
Hi All,
Have a reporting reqmt in BPC 10 for which trying to figure out the best way.
There are about 20 profit centers and wrt every profit centers, there would be certain GL accounts which need to be considered while being displayed in report.
Ex - Combination of Profit Center A with Accounts 100001 - 100010, 420000, 430000 etc.
Combination of Profit Center B with Accounts 100001 - 100010, 520000, 530000 etc.
In the report, we need to display the profit center wise consolidated results
When the data for A is displayed, it should correspond to all those accounts.
2 Options which I can think of -
1. Create a static report with profit center and account in rows, with member recognition, get the data for all desired combination of Profit Center and Account, then create a local member to do a summation of data. hide the individual rows.
Pros - Easy to create
Cons - If business asks to add few accounts, the report needs modification. Also, it's a local member so result not stored anywhere and the same can't be used anywhere else in other reports.
2. Create additional members in account dim and use script logic to write the data to these members. Use these members in report.
Cons - With this calculation to help for 30 odd company codes, 20 odd profit centers, performance may be a thing to consider.

If you have hierarchy node like "ALL" which have all the base members of Account and there is no data for other combination.
Ex - Combination of Profit Center A with Accounts 100001 - 100010, 420000, 430000 etc.
Combination of Profit Center B with Accounts 100001 - 100010, 520000, 530000 etc.
In this case if there is no data for combination of Profit Center A and Account 520000, 530000 etc.
and Profit Center B and Account 420000, 430000
then you can use hierarchy node.

could someone explain me how I can run an Performance Report for my Clients for an specified collection! (I do not have OPS Manager configured/installed)? The reason is that my team leader is asking me that some VIPs are complains about network (IE, Filebrowser).
Performance problems. And they have the opinion that it is coming from the SCCM. Therefore I wanted to check where is it coming from.

Normally the webpage display is < 5s
And they are telling me, this is coming from software update or something else (Application Deployment...). Therefore I wanted to get report where I can see how is causing this issues.

I have problem starting OPS Center services. Ops Center is not coming online as scn/repordb is in the maintenance state. svcadm clear scn/reportdb too doesnt work.

SQL Broker Performance Reports are empty
Good day,
I'm running SCOM 2012 SP1. I was requested to deliver a couple reports for an SQL migration/upgrade.
The relevant data is in The SQL Broker Performance Reports both for SQL 2008 and 2012.
I have been looking at troubleshooting article such as: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2573329
And all my system configs are OK, as well as positive logs. I have reviewed overrides and enable all performance ovverides on SQL MP just to see if it was going to make a change. I added an MP from VEEAM (quite cool actually) thinking I would get better
results but that also failed.
Has anyone encountered this issue before. The funny thing is that other reports give data :-).
Is there something I need to enable further, am no SQL guru.

How about Clear the Cache for the SQL agent by following the below steps?
In the Monitoring workspace, expand Operations Manager and then expand
Agent Details.
Click Agent Health State.
In Agent State, click an agent.
In the Tasks pane, click Flush Health Service State and Cache
In addition, we may
1) stop scom agent Service (OPsMgr Health service)
2) rename forlder.C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2012\health service state.
3) start scom agent Service.

Ops Center 12c Java API - Any tutorials?
I'm trying to figure out how to extract alert information from the Ops Center server, using the Java API. I have the API package installed, but other than the javadocs, I don't see any information on how to use it.
I found this, but the examples it gives aren't useful to me.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!... After some troubleshoot steps, we detected that the both OVM Managers has the same UUID (install 1rt OVM Manager and clone it to deploy the 2nd OVM Manager). Because this the Ops Center has problem to configure the second OVM Manager. To fix it the following steps were performed:
- uninstall OVM Manager
- remove file /etc/sysconfig/ovmm
- install OVM Manager
- import config (server pool, VM, etc...)
To prevent this issue (false job status), Ops Center could return a error in the discovery job saying that there is already another OVMM with same UUID... -

We previously had PRM running but disabled it as it didnt seem to run very well. We are trying to reinstall it now but are hitting a few problems.
Launching /opt/SUNWsymon/sbin/es-uninst and selecting the Performance Reporting Manager option to uninstall fails:-

As I cannot uninstall all the database correctly I can't seem to install it either, even when I select NOT to preserve data.
Any help would be appreciated.

NeilGot it working. Can now use my DiNovo Keyboard without its dongle. Yeah. NO BSODS.
This is what I did. I put in the dongle for the keyboard, rebooted to an account with Admin privileges, used flashcards to go to BT not the F8 key the actual BT one that shows your comp name and ID#. I removed the dongle for the keyboard, turned on the keyboar adn clicked its connect button, clicked the flashcard and it brought up BT Settings. It did not BSOD. So I think Imo454 has it right about the dongle and using it for drivers. Although it did not show anything installing. Set up device, it saw keyboard, I configured settings, closed BT setting manager and now have Icon in tray and BT information manager works.
Reinstall your stack again and then try this. I also gave my users permission to the BT Manager and BT Info. I don't think that made a diff but it can't hurt. Not full permission but write and mod as well as the standard read.
The Toshiba stack from what I can tell is very persnickity. Everywhere I have read to fix this talks of this. I got my stack from the Toshiba Europe site. They have more current stacks than USA. Plus if you run on Toshiba HW you do not need a new key.

Ops Center Console V 11.1.0.1571 shows latest downloads as .1536
I installed a clean/fresh copy of Ops Center Enterprise Manager which showed me v11.1.0.1536 and the ran then downloaded and ran the console upate to bring the system to 11.1.0.1571. The issue I'm having is that when I'm in the console, click on "Ops Center Downloads" the downloads displayed are for 11.1.0.1536. If I check the "Show Older Updates" box I can see thre newer versions .1549, .1559, and .1571
The console is installed on Oracle Linux v 5.5
The original instal was performed using the .1536 package from e-delivery in a command shell
The .1571 update was installed using a download from e-delivery and applied in a command shell
It acts like the versioning database is out of sync.
When I attempt to deploy/push the proxy the ProxyProvPrecheck passes but the copy fails in ProxyProvProvision. Is that because the files aren't on the local system?
I have downloaded both the .1536 and .1571 versions using the console and the error continues. We tested (completely different system) with .1536 and the deployment worked.
Any ideas?
TIA!We decided to deploy the agent manually and discovered that the installer had several coding errors. For example, it stopped because it needed at least Solaris version 10u3 installed. The installed OS was 10u10....
I think that may have been the deployment issue.
The console issue has changed. Once I was able to installe the agent on the console the problem changed, noe the ops center downloads show.

Against the RFQ's vendor submit quotations and the Based on the RFQ's data we have to compare the different Vendors with the respective data like terms and prices
Fetch the data of all RFQ's from EKKO and EKPO tables
and take the EKKO-KNUMV field and pass to KONV table and fetch the different prices based on the Condition types for each RFQ and put it in a tabular format and compare.
