Performance Tools for Weblogic

Hello All!
I need help! I am trying to find out which of the tools is better
suited for me to be able to do performance testing of an application
under load.
I am looking for a tool that can provide me detailed application
performance metrics. Seems like both Insight and Perform Assure can do
this job for me.
If any of you have had experience with using performance tools such as
Prescise Insight or Sitraka's Perform Assure I would appreciate any
input you might have on your usage experience of these tools.
Also if you know of any other tools that might provide similar
information such as the above tools, that would be really helpful.

Thanks for your input! Sounds like you are probably using these
products.
I saw the PerformAssure demo. Their GUI is very slick!! PerformAssure
does some cool stuff like comparing EJB metrics with system metrics
and were able to show me the EJB method that was causing a problem
with a petstore application.
I heard about this new tool from a company called Performant
(http://www.performant.com). I am signed up for a demo with these
folks. Will let you all know what I find.
I looked at Wily site and didn't persue them as they seem to be
deployable in the production environment. Our application is not live
yet, but we want to be able to make sure it can handle good load ;)

Indepth/J2EE and Wily Introscope are both pretty popular with Weblogic, and
I think they both do a good job of what they do.

We are migrating from 11.0.3 to 11.5.10.2 but still have to support 11.0.3 instances till GoLive of 11.5.10.
Does anyone know about any performance measurement tool that I can use to measure the performance of old Forms 4.5.
I see that we can use FRD to record session data and also there is a feature in forms 6i to convert that FRD log into html or csv files for performance data, but couldnt find anything like that for Forms 4.5. I can generate a primitive FRD log for Forms 4.5, but dont think its useful from performance perspective.

We need to monitor DB and forms server's performance from client perspective, so we are installing Virtual machines on all client sites. Measuring DB performance is straight forward, we can create timed sessions and see the difference in query time responses.
But for Forms 4.5 it is a little tricky, so I was looking for some performance tool that I can use to measure forms server performance either from client or server side.

Deploy tool for weblogic 6.1

I have used j2ee refrence server and am really new to weblogic,
i am not adble to find the UI for the deploy tool like we have in t he the j2ee
server ,... do we have one in the WLS6.0 ??
if yes plz tell me the steps where i can find it ?

Unfortunately there isn't one for WLS 6.0. Are you using an IDE ? I would suggest
looking at both JBuilder and VisualCafe. They come with a deploy tool for WLS.
We have also addressed this issue in WLS 6.1. Please look at the DDE Editor -
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs61/programming/environment.html#ConsoleDDE. We have
defined various ANT tasks like DDInit which in conjunction with the DD Editor will
allow to to construct and deploy applications on WLS>

VSL Performance tool for EXS does not work in Logic 8?!

Is this true? http://community.vsl.co.at/forums/t/11356.aspx
If so, this is a deal breaker for me, as VSL is my bread and butter orchestral library! Supposedly Apple ensured the VSL team that their performance tools will work correctly in Logic 8, but some users are saying this is not the case!
Is there anyone successfully using the VSL performance tools in Logic 8? Particularly the Legato tool?

Code Review Tool for Weblogic 8.1

I am working with WLS 8.1. Can anyone suggest plugin or code review tool for reviewing from workshop?
I have used PMD open source plugin with eclipse for reviewing java files. I couldnt use it for .ejb files generated from workshop. Pls suggest some procedure for this.

Red Samurai is not avaiable for 11.1.2 at the moment as Oracle changes the way extensions plug into jdev :-(.
Have you tried out the jdev internal audit tools (under Build->'Audit projectname' and follow the dialogs)?

Performance Tool for Mass Tests

Hello everybody,
does anybody know, if there are any tools (best would be freeware), besides Mercury Loadrunner, which you can make mass tests over the ITS ?
We just need 1 license or one installation to measure the performance when alot of users work.
We make a performance project and we need to simulate mass tests in the ITS.(WEB)

Are there any performance benchmark tools for Flash?

I am looking to benchmark Flash on various computers that I use. I was surprised that the performance of Adobe Flash on my Intel i5 computer running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit OS and IE 10 was MUCH WORSE than running on a Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on an Intel i3 computer running the same browser.
I have tried running both 32-bit IE and 64-bit IE and get the same general bad performance on the 64-bit Windows OS. I would like to find a tool to benchmark these various computers so that I can establish baseline performance while I explore finding a fix Adobe Flash on a 64-bit OS.
Can someone suggest some tools for Flash performance benchmarking? Thank you.

The best advise we can really give you is that both companies offer free trials and you should download them both and see which works best for you. I own Parallels Desktop v6, and VMWare Fusion v3. For me, VMWare s better for some things, but Parallels is better for most. Depending on what you do and how you use your applications your milage may vary.
One other note to keep in mind. Since Apple is looking to release a new OS version in the very near future, you might want to hold-off a bit on our vitualization choice just yet. I would exect that both companies will be working on a new release for support/compatibilty of the new MacOS, so you might want to wait to see if there are any other changes that make you want to lean towards one or the other...

Tool generated files missing after upgrade to Oracle Workshop for Weblogic

Hi,
I'm trying to migrate a beehive/netui web-application from Bea Workspace Studio 1.1 to Oracle Workshop for WebLogic 10R3. The application builds successfully, but when I access the application, I get a "Missing Struts Module Configuration" error.
I checked the build folder, and discovered that several tool-generated files where missing. Entire _pageflow folder is missing and all of the controls related files are missing.
Anyone have an idea of what is going on here?

I tried to change the hostname from workstation IP(192.168.1.3) to workstation name(home-mittal). Also, I tried to specify localhost as HostName while configuration in Oracle BPM Server for Weblogic but still I am getting the same issue.
I have tried pinging what u specifed and response was there.
WLST Failed!!!
Please suggest and it is very urgent.

The Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE) is a brand new and separate product that is being developed in parallel on an Eclipse 3.4 core from the ground up, pulling in the key open source projects that Oracle already works on for Eclipse (WTP / Dali) plus a bunch of the key stuff such as AppXRay and WebLogic tooling from the WorkShop product line.
You'll see some more detailed announcements on this very shortly.

As others suggested, I would also recommend you to schedule statspack every15min or 30min, so that you can comapre the performance as well take the statspack report for analysis.

Tool for WLS 9.1 / Weblogic Realtime development?

I'm looking for a Dev environment to do EJB development for the WLS 9.1 / Realtime server. My understanding is that BEA Workshop is going to be the tool going forward, ultimately replacing the Weblogic Workshop that comes with WebLogic Platform 8.1.
I've downloaded the eval copy, but I don't see there how to create EAR or EJB projects. Is the correct tool to use? I will eventually want to create webapps with that EAR, but I need a tool now to use for WLS 9.1.
