PerformancePoint right click action opens in un-resizable window after migration.

Greets all,
We've recently upgraded a client's SharePoint 2010 farm to 2013 including a number of PerformancePoint dashboards. Most of these dashboards include Analytics charts with Right-click actions that open Reporting Services Reports.
Since the migration, these windows now open in a 600 * 600 window, with no toolbars and no ability to resize in IE. Firefox and Chrome work fine.
We've traced the problem to the PPSMA.NewWindow.openUrl() method that is supplied in the dashboardframework.js as part of PerformancePoint. This method calls window.open(URL,name, options) but doesn't specify the resizable=yes option. This is a completely
different method tot hat used by the SP2010 version of PPS as far as we can see.
My current workaround is to currently try and overide this function be redefining it on the page but with the option. I'd be greatful if anyone else has come across this and solved it another way? (Or if it's a bug in PPS that MS have fixed with an update,
but I can't find any info..)
Many thanks
Paul.
PS.. The client environment is using IE9, so I haven't been able to test this in 10 or 11.

Using firefox 14.0.1. Loading a link using right-click and "Open Link In New Window", results in new window opening but address bar does not show URL. However, if I right click on a link and select "Open Link In New Tab", the Tab shows URL in address bar. So it's working when it's a New Tab but not a New Window.

• Links on websites will not open unless I right click and open in new tab/ window

This just started yesterday. Whenever I go to a website I am unable to just click on a link on the page and be directed. When the mouse goes over the link the info appears in the bottom bar but when I click nothing happens. In order to navigate to the link I have to right click and open in a new tab or page.
Please help on fixing this issue.
Thanks!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See:
* Troubleshooting extensions and themes
* Troubleshooting plugins
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

• Context (Right Click) Actions Incredible Slow in Project Window

I have a 3 MB project, relatively small (I think). Lots of sequence versions, a fairly large pool of media, it's for five short (2.5 minute) film pieces. Whenever I go to duplicate a sequence, it can take upwards of 2minutes to make that happen. Whenever I right click on a sequence (or any media in the project window) the program beach balls, and then the context window comes after 10 - 15 seconds.
What's the deal with that? Is that a known bug in Premiere CC14? Is there something technical with my project I don't realize is happening. I have an 8 Core, Late 2013 Mac Pro (Trash Can) with 32 GB of RAM, so I can't fathom it being a memory problem.

That's wacky, man. I have a MacBook Pro on OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. I can right click and duplicate a sequence in less than a second. Something is definitely up with your system. I recently updated to OS X 10.10, but I did so carefully, so that is what I attribute my "problem free" system to.
I wiped my disk completely prior to installing OS X Yosemite 10.10
I ensured all my Adobe folders were set to R/W
Repaired disk permissions
Trash media cache regularly
You might try Software Only mode for the Mercury Playback Engine
Other than wiping your disk, you can try the other things to see if you get improved behavior. If you still have trouble, contact Adobe Customer Care: Contact Customer Care ask for the "video queue" to ensure you are routed correctly. They're open M-F 7AM to 7PM PST

• How to forbid the use of right click to open a pop up window  from a link ?

I would like to prevent the user from opening pop up windows using the right button of the mouse on a link.
Is it possible ?
Thank you in advance for any help and suggestion.
Paolo

Is this regarding OAF ? if this is a requirement in OAF, then its not possible(unless you put in some javascript function in the page).
If you want to do it in other jsps there are a lot of examples available in google on how to do this.
Thanks

• When right clicking to open link in new window (not tab) foxfire immediately switches windows rather than opening new window in background

Just updated to foxfire 15.0, and now each time I open a link in a new window foxfire will switch immediately to that newly opened window rather than opening the new window in the background as it did before I updated to 15.0. I am aware of the option to check or uncheck switching to new tabs immediately, but I am speaking of opening a link in a new window, not tab. Any help is greatly appreciated.

• I can't open links in firefox. I must drag them to the tool bar or right click and open in a new page

I am running Vista and installed a new version of firefox yesterday plus I messed around with trying to block some obnoxious advertising pop up windows. Now I can't open links and must drag them to the browser bar or right click and "open in a new window". How do I fix this? I tried to restart Firefox but it didn't help. thanks!

Start Firefox in <u>Safe Mode</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Opening a new link in a tab (contr+click or right click and open in new tab) causes ff to lose scroll position in first tab or main window, like google.
This does not happen when opening in a new window (shift+click).
It was never a problem in older versions. I now have ff 3.6.17. I' afraid to install ff4 because everytime i do so (install e new version) something i liked dissapears or good add ons dont work anymore!
I also don't like the fact that more and more of the adress barr is beïng used for crap i don't need. I'm a visual handicap and need all the space i can, just to read.
Thanks for helping me out.

• Problems using right click to open in new Tab or Window. Will not work. How do you solve this. Have v5.0 installed.

I have the latest version of Firefox installed. Version 5.0.
When searching on Google and use right-click to open in new tab or window. Keep getting blank tab.
Can somebody advise how to solve this.
Thank you.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See Troubleshooting extensions and themes and Troubleshooting plugins
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

• Everytime I open a new window to browse, in this new window I would right click to open link in new tab but the new tab always shows up in the other window.

I would click a link which opens a new window. Then in this new window, I would right click to open link in new tab. The new tab does not show up in this new window. It instead shows up in the original browser window. How can I make the new tab show up in the same window?

Firefox did have a behavior where some new windows -- those considered to be dialogs -- could not have new tabs, so new tabs were diverted to the window from which the dialog was opened.
According to the bug tracking system, a fix is in the works:
644729 – Popup window with all toolbars visible causes new tabs to open in another browser window referencing 485237 – Need to treat popups consistently.
That second ones says Target Milestone: Firefox 12, so the fix probably didn't make it into Firefox 11.
WORKAROUNDS
That first bug says there is an add-on to work around this -- it enables the middle mouse button to open links in a dialog window: Bug 586234 Unfixer :: Add-ons for Firefox. I haven't tried it myself.

Why does the Right-click -> "t" delete a bookmark on the bookmark toolbar, when Right-click -> "t" opens a new tab elsewhere in Firefox. The bookmark toolbar use Right-click -> "w" to open in a new tab. Please change this to "t" to... I keep deleting all my bookmark because you don't make the commands consistent!

If you have accidentally removed bookmarks then use "Organize > Undo" in the bookmarks manager (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks) to get them back.<br />
The Organize button is the first of the three buttons on the toolbar in the Library (Bookmarks Manager).<br />
That only works if you haven't closed Firefox.

• Is there an option to left click and open a bookmark in the same tab and right click to open bookmark in new tab?

I want to be able to open bookmarks in the same window without having to right click and then select open. I would like it to be like internet explorer where you have the option to open a bookmark in the same tab or new tab. I had downloaded an add on that solved the problem with a simple right click to open in new tab and left click to open in same tab. This makes things soooo much easier. Am I missing an add on or a configuration where I can solve this problem. Thanks for your time.

Very, very, very confusing!!!!! Exactly which is it that you want to do????? Left-click = same tab or left-click = new tab????
Your initial subject line:
Is there an option to <u>left click and open a bookmark in the same tab</u> and <u>right click to open bookmark in new tab</u>?
Your last post (3rd post):
Is there a way I can <u>left click and automatically open a bookmark in a new tab</u>...
...rather than having to left click and then select "open in new tab."
Right-click, <u>not left-click</u>, has the "Open in new tab option".
Easy answer is listed in my initial reply; left-click, same tab; middle-click, new tab!
What are your Extensions?
-List them.
-You obviously set up some extension with some kind of conflict.
To find out which Extension is causing the problem, <u>enable one-at-a-time</u>, restart Firefox for the change to take effect (File > Restart Firefox), test. When the problem re-appears, you know the extension causing the problem.

I have adobe acrobat 11 reader writer I want to use the pointer symbol on full screen instead of the hand, iwas able to do it on adobe 10 also when in full screen i can't open attachments unless i right click and open it then it boots me out of full screen is there any way i can click on the attacment without going out of full screen

I don't know why the change, but the pointer appears in the same way as it does on the main screen, not a pointer. There does not appear to be anyway to change it. You may want to submit a comment to the Features Requests: Acrobat Feature Requests. I also submitted this as a bug.
As a clarification, your "adobe acrobat 11 reader writer" is not informative. There is Acrobat 11 and Reader 11. Writer is not a product as such. So you have referred to Acrobat in a contradictory manner. In the future, please just indicate Acrobat 11 or Adobe Acrobat 11.
