Performed system restore, Photoshop won't reinstall

So I performed a system restore and now my photoshop is gone. I tried downloading the program again from the adobe website but the application manager still says Update and not Install. So I've tried locating the registration keys even under safe mode to no avail. I've also reinstalled the application manager and that didn't work. I've even ran CCleaner and that didn't work. I'm not sure what else I'm missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

"System restore" so am guessing you are on Windows. Are you able to uninstall Photoshop using the Control Panel? If on Mac OS X the uninstaller is located at Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
If there is nothing to uninstall then use the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove Photshop. Download from here http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
After uninstalling or running the Adobe Cleaner Tool you should be able to reinstall Photoshop from the Adobe Application Manager.

  • Issues with Creative Cloud/Flash Professional? (Performed system restore, Flash was removed...)

I had done a system restore to restore my computer the way it was 24 hours ago to fix some PC issues (couldn't uninstall some programs that I was going to reinstall to fix performance issues); I have three other Adobe programs of my computer that are still there, but where Flash was my most recent acquisition, it was removed when I performed the system restore. When I tried to re-download the program, CC still thinks Flash is still on my computer; I have uninstalled and reinstalled CC, gone through the program files for traces of Flash (didn't delete or alter anything, but also didn't find anything pertaining to Flash), deleted the Temp folder, attempted to download Flash Professional CC directly from the CC website, but none of these made any changes. Is there any way to manually download Flash, or "reset" CC to get it to notice Flash isn't on my computer anymore?

It still didn't help - it removed CC from my computer, and I reinstalled it, but I've already tried that. It still says Flash Professional CC is still there (I installed Flash CS6, too, as a substitute in the meantime, but I still need Flash CC). Flash Professional CC isn't on my computer anymore - it was deleted in a system restore, but CC says it's still there, so I can't reinstall it. Is there a direct download I can use?

  • After doing a system restore, Firefox won't load pages.

I restored my laptop a couple of days ago (from a previous date, not a full system restore), now firefox will open to the home page (google), but will not load any other page. It doesn't even bring up the "page won't load" page, it just continually says 'connecting' forever. I also noticed, even when I first open firefox, and it opens the google homepage, it doesn't have google.com in the address bar, it has 'about:home'. Internet explorer seems to be working fine, and my internet connection is fine, so I am not sure what the problem seems to be.

hello rlyslowff, one thing you could try is to remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall/security software and let it detect the program again...
please also [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ update your plugins] (some of them are out-dated & have security vulnerabilities that are actively exploited on the web).
in case this didn't solve the issue, go to the firefox ''menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information'', copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum, as this might give us further clues what is going on...

  • Restored database, can't perform 'System Restore'

We've just performed a system reset of a system by performing a database restore to a version from a few months back.  I now need to reapply the SC's that have been modified since the initial database snapshot.
However, when I try to perform a restore, the DI gives me a message indicating that the system already has the up-to-date version.  Checking the SystemInfo page, it's quite clearly shown that the SC is the old version; checking in the SLD also shows the old build version.  However, running the SDM tool shows the new version as being deployed...
Inspecting the file system, you can see all the originally deployed SCs in the folder /usr/sap/SID/JC00/SDM/root/origin, organized by domain and DC.  The SC I need to redeploy is indeed in these directories, and I think I can probably fix my problem by removing the file, but I'm not sure of the side effects of doing this.
It's almost as if SAP expects you to perform a full system restore, rather than a database restore when recovering a system, since data is contained in both the database, and the file system.
    Opinions?

Just used SDM to force/sync the system.

  • Scan error message and unable to perform system restore.

During a virus scan with Avira I get the following message and the scan cannot be completed; "The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x0042ff93. Click OK to terminate the program." This has only just happened with no problems in the past. I have not loaded anything since the last scan and there are no problems with the pc except that I also tried to restore the system back to a date before this occurred however it fails.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Avira?
Also run Memtest to ensure the RAM is not corrupting the files.
    1) Go to http://www.memtest.org/#downiso and download the "Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)"
    2) Open the ZIP file and extract the ISO file to a temporary folder.
    3) Burn the ISO to a blank CD using a Disc-To-Image project in your CD/DVD burning software (dont use a normal Data Project).
    4) Insert the Memtest CD into your laptop and turn it on, press F12 to launch the boot menu, and select "CD".

  • OS X Restore Discs won't Reinstall to HD?!?!

Okay, I'm trying to do a Archive and Install of Tiger on my MacBook.
When I boot to the DVD, walk through the steps, and when I get to the part where I choose which Volume to install to (the only one there, the internal HD), it has a red exclamation mark next to it.
Makes no sense, it has about 60GB available, it the drive Tiger is currently on, but it says it can't boot to this drive.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    Joshua

No, it's the original that came with it.
    One more thing...
Only thing 'weird' I can think of in this scenario is this HD is not the stock HD, it's a 120GB drive I upgraded to myself. I used SuperDuper to image the stock 60GB, then restored the 120GB from that image.
Shouldn't matter but I at least wanted to throw that out there.

  • How do I perform a system restore in Windows 10?

QuestionHow do I perform a system restore in Windows 10?
AnswerNote: This article is about Windows 10. Separate articles are available on performing system restore in Windows 8 and Windows 7.
System restore rolls your system files back to a restore point from a previous date. You can make restore points manually, but Windows will also make them automatically. This will undo system settings, changes from Windows Update, and changes from newly installed software (including removing software installed since that restore point).
Your data, documents, and most programs won't be changed. This makes system restore a great place to start when you're having a problem and don't know how to fix it.
System restore reverts drivers installed since the restore point was created. Programs and apps installed since the restore point was created will also need to be reinstalled.
To view other recovery options in Windows 10, read this article:
What recovery options are available in Windows 10?
To perform a system restore, follow these steps:
Open the Start Menu and select Settings.
Select Update & security and then Recovery.
Under Advanced startup, select Restart now.
After the computer restarts to a screen with various options, select Troubleshoot.
Select Advanced options and then System Restore.
When you reach an account selection screen, select an account.
Enter your password and select Continue.
Follow the prompts, choosing your desired restore point. (You'll most likely want to use the most recent restore point from before the problem started).
You can also watch this video to learn how to perform a system restore:

If you want to create an image of the entire disk, then `dd' is an option. But you can also use ufsdump to create an image of a filesystem running on that disk, but you need to do that for every filesystem on the disk and please keep a copy of you vtoc for the future if you need to restore everything.
On the other hand you make me thing about someone who wants to clone machines and then a Flash Archive can also be an option. Please keep in mind to ask the question in the future instead of conformation of your answer ;-)

  • Lost all my APPS following a "System Restore" on my Windows 8.1 machine

A couple of days ago I was experiencing problems logging on to ANY / ALL Wi-Fi networks so elected to do a "System Restore" for about 10 days ago. That worked fine and I got my Wi-Fi networks sorted but I lost ALL MY APPS and cannot find a way
to re-install. Tried contacting Microsoft and what a waste of time that was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone any idea as to how to retrieve the situation WITHOUT getting too complex or do I need to buy an Apple Computer? With the Old XP system a "System Restore"
NEVER created these sort of problems! PLEASE SOMEONE TRY TO ADVISE. Thanks Andrew

Sorry to ask, may I know how you perform system restore?
as far I know, system restore will restore condition included software or application installation
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc
If you think an app or driver that you recently installed caused problems with your PC, you can restore Windows back to an earlier point in time, called a restore point. System Restore doesn’t change your personal files, but it might remove recently
    installed apps and drivers.
To restore your PC to an earlier point in time
    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.)
2.Enter Control Panel in the search box, and tap or click Control Panel.
3.Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, and then tap or click Recovery.
4.Tap or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions
So, you need to reinstall your application if 10 days ago you haven't installed it
I don't know your expectation about this

  • ITunes dead after System Restore

I can no longer launch iTunes, and this has nothing to do with spyware.
    Sequence of Events:
    1) Last Thursday, I purchased a new track from itms (Iggy Pop - Candy - it's good, check it out).
    2) Upon trying to play the track, I was presented with the message that the computer was not authorized to play the track. Other songs I tried to play gave the same error. I had been perfectly content using iTunes 4.7. However, in order to play the tracks, I now needed to upgrade to the current version of iTunes. This was, imo, obnoxious, but I capitulated, and downloaded and installed v6.0.1.3. After installation, iTunes worked perfectly fine.
    3) Thursday evening I shut the computer down for the evening. I didn't use the system again until Sunday evening. When I powered the machine up, Windows booted to a black screen. Safe mode worked properly, but 'normal'-mode would not light the display (this is a laptop). Not knowing what was wrong yet, I tried using System Restore to return the system to a slightly earlier state. The most recent checkpoint was just before installing the iTunes update, so that's where I restored to.
    4) System Restore didn't fix the problem. That's when I discovered the switch on the laptop that senses whether or not the lid is closed was broken, and it was telling Windows the lid was closed, resulting in the darkened screen. (I've removed the switch while I wait for the replacement plastic piece I need, so that's no longer an issue.)
    5) System Restore did not have the option to undo the previous System Restore.
    6) I then re-installed iTunes 6.0.1.3. Each time I try to launch iTunes, I see the standard MS "Do you want to send the error info to Microsoft?" message box, and iTunes won't start.
To try and repair the problem, I've tried uninstalling iTunes and Quicktime repeatedly. I've tried System Restore, and then a reinstall, several times. I've been a Computer Tech since '94, and routinely remove spyware problems from people's computers in a professional capacity. I am certain my iTunes problem is not malware-related. However, just to cover all bases I went ahead and followed the Apple doc referenced repeatedly in these forums involving MSCONFIG to ensure my iTunes problem wasn't related to some startup issue. I've taken the iTunes folder, with the library.itl and .xml files, and moved it to the desktop prior to reinstalling iTunes. I've uninstalled, and then deleted the Program Files\iTunes and Program Files\iPod directories prior to reinstallation. I've disabled my antivirus during the install.
No matter what I've tried, iTunes will no longer start.
Anybody have any ideas what I can try next to revive iTunes on my PC. I very much don't want to lose my existing playlists, album art, and music files (especially the approx. $130 of purchased music), obviously.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    well done, NoahsMyBro!
hmmmm. some thoughts (speculation warning) on what might have gone wrong with the QT. a system restore "over top" of a fresh itunes install will strip out some installation registry entries from both QT and itunes. (under those circumstances, itunes won't launch, spitting out a "some of the required files ..." error message.)
under those circumstances, i usually recommend uninstall QT and itunes prior to the reinstall. (of course, you had other more pressing things to worry about at the time ...) i've been doing that because the QT component of the itunes installer bundle can be a little more delicate than the itunes component when it comes to installing "over top" of existing program files and folders. i think it's partly to do with the fact that it's the second install in the chained install (more can go wrong with it). so the QT may have been compromised on the reinstall, even though the itunes part of the install went through fine.
you don't tend to get the same QT install problems on a standalone QT install (again, speculation, but it seems plausible) because it's not the second install in a chain.
    love, b

  • Key board not working at startup. Have to use system restore.

The only way to get the keyboard working on start-up is by using system restore. Unplugging and reinstalling just brings up a cannot install message. I have tried uninstalling in the device manager and reinstalling in a different usb port but to no avail. The system restore is no big deal but every time I do it I have to download all my norton updates.
Model HP Pavilion HPE with Hp keyboard Windows 7

    Hello again errola,
Thank you for providing your computer's information!
Since you have already attempted to connect a second keyboard with drivers installed, I recommend installing the Intel USB Controller Driver Update. This software package should help update the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller, which your keyboard is attempting to connect to.
If the keyboard is still not able to function after installing the update, I suggest Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7). This should help re-install drivers for the hardware and original programs that came with the computer. After this process is complete, please follow up with the HP Support Assistant (Windows 7) to update these drivers.
Should the issue persist after re-installing the original drivers for your computer, I recommend performing a backup and recovery of your Operating System. To do this, please follow this document on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 7) as well as Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7).
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Quicktime issues after system restore

After system restore we had to reinstall games which required quicktime. after which I reinstalled itunes, but it wouldn't install without completely uninstalling everything for quicktime. reinstalled updated quicktime and itunes, but now games aren't working. Uninstalled games and reinstalled it, but still getting macromedia projector error message. Suggestion is to reinstall quicktime. I feel like I am going in circles. Appreciate any suggestions

still getting macromedia projector error message.

  • System Restore does not work (Windows 7)

I believe that my internal wireless network card has died although the laptop is only 8 months old, but that's another issue.
I'm running Windows 7, and I tried to have system restore backup to a few days ago.  There have been no changes to the computer in this time other than Windows update. After performing system restore and rebooting, I have a message that system restore was cancelled because there was a file in use.  It suggested I disable anti-virus protection.  After disabling that, I tried system restore once again.  The computer seemed to be doing it right, but after reboot, I got the same message that it could not be performed due to a file in use.
I've turned off everything I can think of, does anybody know why might be causing system restore to stop and how it could be corrected?
    Thanks

If you cannot do a System Restore from the Recovery Environment (as Archie suggested), then probably the restore points have become corrupt. That's not uncommon.
To repair that, turn System Restore off and then on again. Unfortunately, that removes all the previous restore points.
Turn System Restore on or off
If you post again, tell us which computer you have.

  • Can't reinstall photoshop after system restore

After I installed lightroom 5 and photoshop cc I had to do a system restore.   The CC application shows both are installed but photoshop CC is not anymore and I can't reinstall it because the app show it already is.   How do I reset the CC app so I can do a clean install of Photoshop CC?

  • CS3 won't start after system restore, fails to reinstall

I am running CS3 design premium on Windows 8. I've have the computer (Lenovo with Intel i5) for two months, though I used the design suite on my previous computer. I had to run System Restore to fix a problem with Firefox, and after I did none of my Adobe products worked. I have uninstalled/reinstalled several times while following the Adobe Help page "error message at installation" guide. Each time I get the message that Acrobat installed correctly, and everything else "Component install failed." I also wiped everything Adobe off the program list (there were a few CC programs I had trialed, plus Flash Player and some plugins) ran the CC cleaner and still got the same error message. I even tried downloading the program files from Adobe in case there was a problem with my disk and that wasn't it either. I tried enabling FLEXnet and installing under a new user, each to no avail. Examining the log file found no instances of "Return value 3" and "FATAL." The search for "ERROR" found several items that I had either already tried or made no sense.
I ran the system restore again to an earlier point, and now I can't even uninstall anything. The CC cleaner tells me some files could not be cleaned, and I should close my browser and try again, but there are no browsers open. Restarted computer and tried again, same thing. It seems I've tried all the options.
    Super frustrated.

  • How can I reinstall Photoshop CS6l after system restore

I downloaded and installed the trial version of CS6 a few days ago and everything was working wonderfully.  Yesterday, some adware found its way through my firewall and installed itself on my system.  The only restore point I had available predated the CS6 installation, and after the system recovered, PhotoShop was gone.  I attempted to install it again to continue the trial, but got an error that directed me to a site that is no longer maintained by Adobe.  How can I fix this?  I'm sure the time limit on the trial hasn't stopped counting down, but I'm unable to install and check out the software.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

you're probably out of luck and cannot resume your trial.
however, you can download a trial and test your luck,
