Performing an SCP lookup from a computer not in domain

Hi everybody,
I am using the code given by Microsoft (link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13082 & https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn467395(v=exchg.150).aspx#bk_CodeExample) for SCP Record Lookup. Both links have same implementation.
It works when the program is run from a computer in domain. But fails when the program is run from a computer not in domain. Kindly help me in solving this problem. Ask for clarifications if needed.

Using ADExplorer, I can login and search all containers in all three Active Directory.
More information:
Active directory is installed in the servers in colored boxes.
1) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child1.parent1.com for parent1.com domain, then everything is fine.
2) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child1.parent1.com for child2.parent1.com domain, then error is "There is no such object on the server."
3) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child1.parent1.com for parent2.com domain, then error is "A referral was returned from the server."
4) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child2.parent1.com for child2.parent1.com domain, then everything is fine.
5) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child2.parent1.com for parent1.com domain, then error is "A referral was returned from the server."
6) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child2.parent1.com for parent2.com domain, then error is "A referral was returned from the server."
7) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child.parent2.com for parent2.com domain, then everything is fine.
8) If I run the program for SCP Record Lookup, in child.parent2.com for parent1.com domain, then error is "A referral was returned from the server."

In OSX when you go to file and print you will usually get a window that pops up with print settings.
In 10.6 it may only show you the printer to use, and the preset to use, but you can click the square to the right of that with a triangle in it to view more options.
From here there is a drop down for paper type/quality, where you can select photo paper, and a higher quality, then go to print.

Don't know, how did you hook it up (what kind of cable)? You can send audio through an HDMI connection provided a MacBook Pro is (I believe) from 2009 or newer.
Converting to VGA or DVI will not send audio - if you're using that kind of connection, you'll need to add an audio cable from the headphones port.
Also check the Sound Out setting in the Sounds panel of System Preferences.

My iPhoto Library was deleted from my computer, not enough space for a time machine back up?

My entire iPhoto Library is gone, inaccessible, doesn't show up in finder. I tried to restore my last Time Machine back up but it says that I don't have enough space on my startup disk. In order to create space I deleted everything nonessential and moved all of my essential folders such as documents, photos, videos, everything, etc. to my external drive, then deleted them from my hard drive. I emptied the trash to make sure that everything was wiped. I tried to do the Time Machine back up of my iPhoto Library again and is still says I don't have enough space. I looked at my storage under About this Mac, and it says that 120.35 GB of my current computer storage are photos, however, I don't have ANY photos on my hard drive at all. I don't know what to do because I can't delete applications and there is literally nothing else I can delete from my computer, so I don't understand how 135 GBs of storage is being used up.
Any ideas? Could there be somewhere my photos are hiding? I just don't understand how this makes any sense, or why my library got deleted in the first place for that matter.

Initiating hotsync from my computer, not the handheld

Hi,
I have a z22 whose screen unfortunately smashed. It still works, it that the buttons on the bottom (calendar and contacts) still do, but the buttons on the screen don't - including the hotsync.
I have some very important info that I hadn't gotten a chance to backup. I tried to hotsync from my mac, but can't figure out how to initiate from the computer. My computer is an iMac Intel core duo running 10.4.11, the version of palm desktop is 4.2.2

First do a soft reset so we will be looking at the same thing. To do a soft reset just press the reset button in the back of the device with a pin or the tip of the stylus. After the soft reset wait about 45 seconds to 1 minute before proceeding to make sure the soft reset completed.
Here is the order your will need to press the buttons in:
Center button
Home button
Center Button
Down
Down
Right
Center Button
If that doesn't work I noticed there is a shortcut Hotsync button. It's the top right one above the Magnicfying glass. Try clicking that too.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't share music over different networks with homesharing. Put the content on an external drive or USB stick and import it to the other computer.

the easiest way is to create a playlist with the tunes you want on the iPad and sync that playlist to it.

Purchases made from another computer not appearing in iTunes on new MAC

I'm new to the Mac world and am still familiarizing myself. As a former PC user, I made several purchases from my PC (music only) that are not showing up on iTunes on my shiny new mini Mac. Is this normal? How do I download my previous purchases to the mini?

Copy them from the old machine to a flash drive, then from the flash drive to the new machine. Alternatively, you can use your iPod to transfer purchased files.

Can't get to my contacts on my server from a computer not using iCloud

My Outlook.pst is located on my home server (NAS) so all the computers on the network use the same .pst file. I just connected one of my computers to iCloud to sync calendars and contacts with my iPhones. Now the other computers on the network can no longer see the outlook.pst file on the network. Do I need to add iCloud to my other computers? And will this screw up more thing on my network?

It sounds like many of your contacts are in All Contacts and not under iCloud in the Contacts application on your MacBook. There are a couple of ways you can move the contacts to iCloud.
First, if there are just a few contacts you would like to move, you can drag them from All Contacts to the iCloud section on the left:
Add contacts to a group or folder
Select one or more contacts and drag them to a group or folder.
Organize contacts using groups or folders

Alternatively, you can turn Contacts off and then back on in System Preferences>iCloud. When you turn Contacts back on, you will be prompted to merge your contacts, and this should move items from All Contacts to iCloud:
Turn iCloud Contacts off and back on.
Quit Contacts (or Address Book on OS X Lion).
Open System Preferences, and choose iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Contacts. Click Keep Contacts.
Close System Preferences, and wait about a minute.
Open System Preferences, and choose iCloud.
Reselect the checkbox next to Contacts.
Close System Preferences.
Open Contacts (or Address Book) and test to see if the issue has been resolved.

MacMini only starts from another computer-not itself

I have a current Mac Mini (6,2) with 16gb RAM that I tried to wipe clean in preparation to sell. I am now aware that I could have done this through the recovery partition that is now part of the current OS, but didn't know that an hour ago. I booted in Target disk mode from my MBP, formatted the hd on the MacMini, and installed ML on the Mini from my MBP. When I restarted the MacMini after OS installation, I only see the white startup screen with a circle and line through it. I can restart without a problem from my MBP, but the MacMini won't start up on its own.

Long shot, but since nothing else is working.
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the grey Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal.

Now that I read that again, did I misinterpret your request? Did you mean how do you run the bridge program? For that information we would need to know what operating system you are using since windows and macs differ on how programs run.

CUPC - Unable to log in from Windows machine not on domain

Hi,
We are unable to login to CUPC (ver 8.5.3.192248) on a windows machine that is not on the domain, however connected to the network (e.g. we can ping CUPS IP and FQDN). We've tried pointing the client to the FQDN address as well as IP Address. We get "Login Failed" message (so no "Unable to connect to network" message). The user can log in just fine on a machine that is on the domain, so everything back end should be ok.

I am using version 8.5.5 and that works fine on a Windows 7 that is not in the domain.
The only thing I had to do was add the server name to the hosts file, I have both the server name and the FQDN as in
192.168.1.1 cups cups.mycompany.com
You can define the server by IP address but it seems to move internally to the server name and it needs to be able to map that to an IP address

first you have to know progammatically the name of the remote pc connected to your server: this is a problem!
I did not find a straigth way, LV 6.1 doesn't allow much progammatic control on the remote panel connection feature, but I'm confident that in the next LV version this will be improved!
The point is that the Remote Panel Connection Manager (from the Tools menu) has all the informations about the connection: client name, server vi and whatever.
This application is embedded in the \PROJECT\REMOTEPANEL.LLB and consists of a set of password protected vis.
So here's the trick: use VIServer to grab data from the rpcm Get Server Data.vi when the Remote Panel Connection Manager is in run mode. By this you get all the informations (not only client name)o
f the remote panel connection. See my example.
By the way use client machine name to build the file dialog function input path.
If anybody has an alternative method it would be more than appreciated to share it.
