Period is missing when setting fps in QT (2997 instead of 29.97)

Thanks for reading. I have this weird problem when exporting from QT. When I set the fps to 29.97, the period gets lost as soon as I hit ok. The result is a huge file size and the export process takes forever. This was the case before and after the latest QT update. It also affects other applications using QT for encoding.

Anyone else got this problem and how can I solve it?

No I hadn't repaired the permissions as it was the case before and after the update. But now it's suddenly back to normal. Strange.
Anyway, thanks for your help, I hope it doesn't happen again.

We're on version 10.1.2 but in the process of upgrading to 10.1.4.
In Ultra Search, when I try to set up a Portal Data Source, I can't see all the Page Groups in the portal. Is this somehow related to the ACL for the Page Group ... or individual pages? I can see most but not all, and specifically not the one I want.
Any suggestions would be great!

I blundered onto the answer to my issue by trial and error.
When setting up the root page for a page group, if you wish it to be accessible to Ultra Search to be part of a Portal Data Source, you must ensure that the "Display Page To Public Users" check box is checked. The "Enable Item Level Security" checkbox can also be checked, e.g, they are not mutually exclusive.

So, you are meaning that if you have a video running in one tab, then go to another, the video continues to run? yes, that is normal behavior.
Tabs are basically having like multiple windows inside one main window. It is just as if you opened a video in a window, started it playing, then opened a new window, the video would still play.
Or am I misunderstanding your question?

I believe I have found my solution!
I can currently boot with my bios in ide mode- but my raid1 mirror is showing as independent drives (c and d)
I do a simple windows search for winload.exe on the C: drive and get nothing
that same search on the D: turns up winload.exe all over
When I look at I my BCD 'device partation=C:'
shouldnt this be D:?
If so is this just a simple bcdedit, reboot into the bios, change my bios from IDE mode to RAID mode, save to cmos then, theoretically boot into windows with my raid correct (showing as a singe drive C: )

I have to double click the latest message to open it and then reply. I find this irritating and would like to skip this step and be able to reply from preview and include that message. Am I missing a setting to fix this?

I have found that if you have highlighted some text in the message and then hit reply, the highlighted section is the only bit included in the reply. You need to click on the message in the middle list rather than the preview pain on the righthand side and it should reply normally. To check it's doing this, select a message in the middle section of the screnn then use the down arrow to drop to the next message. Hit reply, and it should reply normally. I hope this helps.

Unless you have already loaded a bunch of data the easisest way would be to go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

I'm playing around with it to write a blog post and it is crazy. Only possible workaround (till now i'm not able to figure out a solution to it) is to copy the application and deploy it as a new one. Take copy of all objects (forms, tasklist etc). Delete the corrupted application and rename the new one to old.

Why are Java SASLFactories missing when called via PL/SQL but not from JRE?

This may be quite a technical point about SASL and JCE Providers etc OR it may just be a question about how Oracle PL/SQL interfaces with Java.
The background is that I am trying to get a Java opensource library to run in Oracle DB - this is for specialized communication from Database to other servers.
The library uses a SASL mechanism to authenticate with the server and this (appears) to rely on JCE Providers installed and provided by the JRE.
I have some Java code working which uses the library - this runs OK in NetBeans/Windows environment and also using Linux/Oracle JRE directly such as:

However it refuses to work (throws a NullPointerException) when called from PL/SQL.

I've tracked the issue down to there being no SaslClientFactories (via Sasl.getSaslClientFactories()) showing when called from PL/SQL whereas 3 are available when run from within Java directly. This via:
   Enumeration<SaslClientFactory> facts = Sasl.getSaslClientFactories();
   System.out.println("Found Sasl Factories [" & (facts != null) & "] size[" & Collections.list(facts).size() & "]");
So, is there some aspect of Java initialisation that I'm missing when calling from PL/SQL (which means SASL factories aren't getting loaded into JRE) or is there something different in SASL setup?
Any pointers appreciated.

Ok, after a bit of reading and general hacking about I have got this working.
What I hadn't initially understood/remembered is that for a Stored Procedure the JVM installed on file system with Oracle isn't actually used - java code is loaded into the database and hence a different set of base functions are available. So "out of the box" the Oracle Database appears to come loaded with only two of the Sun security providers i.e. no com.sum.security.SASL

1) Downloaded JDK Source and extracted "com.sun.security.sasl" java code to my project
2) Added following code to my Stored Procedure ()

Bug in FB 4.7 when setting verbose-stacktraces to True

Hello guys,
When setting the verbose-stacktraces to true without setting the debug parameter to true, it has no effect. When I get a stacktrace it doesn't include any line numbers as stated on the documentation. I'm currently using Flash Builder 4.7, Adobe Flex 4.6 and Air 4 SDK to develop my mobile application. Also, I'm using the compiler options: -locale en_US -swf-version=23 -verbose-stacktraces=true.
I need to be able to see the line numbers so I would really appreciate any help on this issue.

I also tried with replacing -verbose-stacktraces=true with -compiler.verbose-stacktraces=true as I've seen in some examples but nothing happens.

Missing layout set?

Hi you all!
I have a problem that migth be caused by a missing layout set. The problem is that I know more or less nothing about these.
I have a role with a set of pages as an entrypoint and under this there are som more sets of pages and among these sets is of course another entrypoint. This one holds four pages which are shown in the detailed navigation. Nothing strange up to here but now to my problem: when I click a certain one of these four "links" in the det.nav. nothing at all is shown. It just happens to this very page and not to the other three.
I have opened the role in question in our dev-portal where the page works and have made comparisons to the prod-portal but can't find any differenses. Can anyone tip me of about where to find the layout set which will affect the level in question in the structure described? The only place where I can find this attribute is at the settings of an iView on the page that errors and this iView isn't even shown. The name of it is "Site Files Master Iview" if it's a standard one and if it's of help to the solution.

it depends on the version if you can find the default.trc in the portal
I am not totally sure, when things changed. You can have a look at 'SystemAdministration -> Support -> Support Desk -> PortalRuntime'. Here you can mybe find a Logviewer. Or you could try to use your Portal-URL without the 'irj', then click on 'SAP Netweaver Administrtator'. Then choose 'analysis -> debug -> logs and traces'. In the DropDown-Box 'Select View' choose 'default Trace'
On the file-system you should be able to find the log here: \usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log.
Reproduce the error and make sure that you are looking in the newest defaultTrace

Artwork tab missing when selecting multiple tracks

i'm having trouble assigning MULTIPLE pieces of album art to MULTIPLE tracks SIMULTANEOUSLY.
i see that i can add multiple arts to a single track by:
.. selecting a single track by highlighting -> get info -> artwork tab
.. selecting and playing a single track (so that the speaker icon appears to the left of the track in the playlist; paused or not) -> dragging artwork into the artwork pane in itunes; artwork gets added only to the track with the speaker icon regardless of which track(s) are highlighted. if there is existing artwork, new art gets added (does not replace old art).
also, adding a single piece of art to multiple tracks can be done by:
.. selecting tracks by highlighting -> get info -> info tab -> artwork field (note: artwork FIELD within info TAB of 'get info' dialog, not artwork tab)
adding multiple arts to multiple tracks simultaneously COULD NOT be done by:
.. selecting (highlighting) multiple tracks -> get info; ARTWORK TAB IS MISSING WHEN MULTIPLE TRACKS ARE SELECTED! there is only the artwork field in the info tab. setting this field with art resets any previous art -- the only art for the selected tracks will be the single piece you set in this field.
.. selecting (highlighting) multiple tracks -> dragging artwork into the artwork pane in itunes; artwork gets added only to the (single) track with the speaker icon (playing/paused) regardless of which track(s) are highlighted.
i've seen it done in (unknown version) windows itunes by:
.. selecting (highlighting) multiple tracks -> get info -> artwork tab (NOT MISSING!?)

i just figured it out.
just above the artwork box in the lower left of the window, there is bar.
you can click on it to toggle between Now Playing and Selected Item.
this was my problem -- mine was on now playing. i didn't realize this was changeable.

I recently bought a WD My Book Live to backup using Time Machine, now that I've upgraded to and my old NAS won't support Mountain Lion. The WD drive appears in the Finder, it doesn't appear as an option when setting up the backup disc in Time Machine.

When i upgraded from LION to MOUNTAIN LION it made NO difference at all to my MyBook Live !!!
reading the original post again and again, do you in fact have two My Book Live units, an old one and a new one ?
