Period shift in Transfer of Requirements

Dear SAP experts,
I'm looking at the following challenge. I have a situation where there a number of Materials linked to the same Planning Material. I'm using Planning Strategy 60 (on both the Planning Material and the real Material).
The production process has for most Finished Goods only one main production step. For a numer of Finished Goods there are also one or two post processing steps required.
With only Main production step> When the customer orders for wk X the main production has to take place in wk X-1
With post processing               > When the customer orders for wk X the main production has to take place in wk X-2
I have created Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs) for the planning material (requirements type VSEV) representing the (sort of repetitive) production cycle of the planning material. So for example production in week X, X4, X8 etc.
The first challenge I had was the ATP check (not via ATP logic, but against planning). For materials that require post processing I should not do an ATP check on wk X-1 but on wk X-2.  With help of this forum I found the user exits where I could change the Material Availabilty Date for the Materials with post processing before the ATP check etc. etc. So the ATP challenge is solved.
However, when the ATP check is succesful the quantity gets confirmed, but the actual Material Availabilty Date is wk X-1. Based on this the transfer of requirements takes place. Now it could happen that the wrong PIR get's consumed or even worse I cannot save the order, because of availability issues.
I realize I can solve this problem by splitting the Planning Material in two. However this would seriously increase the number of Planning Materials which would make the solution not practical anymore.
Is there anyone out there who can give me a hint on how to proceed?
Kind regards,
Mark

Dear Kumar,
In my understanding Planning table is used for capacity check and capacity levelling and to modify the existing requirements.
Planning Table and Capacity Planning
You can also use the planning table with capacity planning. Here, planning is based on lead time scheduling. The basis for lead
time scheduling is the routing. You can access the capacity planning table directly from the REM planning table. The capacity
planning table provides you with support in dispatching and reallocating production quantities.

  • Transfer of Requirement & Availability Check

    Dear All,
In simple words can anybody tell me the concept of Transfer of Requirement & Availability Check..
I am not looking for Configuration details but want to know the basic things like......
What is Transfer of Requirement & Availability Check?
    Where we are using ?
    How it help us ?
    etc...........
    Points will definately awarded.
    Regards
    SAGAR

    Dear Sagar
    1)  Transfer of Requirements
Transfer of Requirements determine whether and how requirements should be transferred and if they should be checked against planned requirements. The transfer of requirements in sales can be switched on or off by transaction as required. For example, you can switch off the transfer of requirements for inquiries and quotations, whereas you can switch it on for sales orders and deliveries.
    2)  Availability Check
There are three types of availability check:
--> Check on the basis of the ATP quantities
       --> Check against product allocation
       --> Check against planning
In Customizing, you determine whether an availability check is to be carried out against the ATP quanitity or against planning. The check against product allocations is controlled in the material master and elsewhere in the system.
    a) Check on the Basis of the ATP Quantities
The ATP quantity (ATP = Available To Promise) is calculated from the warehouse stock, the planned inward movements of stock (production orders, purchase orders, planned orders) and the planned outward movements of stock (sales orders, deliveries, reservations). This type of check is performed dynamically for each transaction, taking into account the relevant stock and planned goods movements with or without replenishment lead time. Planned independent requirements are not taken into account here.
    b) Check against Product Allocation
Product allocation facilitates period-based distribution of products for certain customers or regions. As of Release 3.0F, you can carry out an availability check against product allocation. This ensures, for example, that when production is low, the first customer does not get the full amount, resulting in following sales orders not being confirmed or being confirmed far too late.
    c) Check against planning
The check against planning is performed against independent requirements which are usually created for an ‘anonymous’ market rather than being customer-specific (for example, in the strategy ‘Planning without assembly’, when production occurs only up to the stocking level). The planned independent requirements result from demand program planning and are used for planning expected sales quantities independent of orders

  • Transfer of Requirements for Return Orders

    Hi,
Please I need  help on TOR management with Return Orders in SD.
I've already red  all the threads realted to TOR and ATP but I couldn't find a solution. As we know TOR is dependent on the following data: reqts type, reqts class, checking group and schedule line category.
The reqts type and class are determined in the strategy group (material master - MRP3).
Now if I switch on Transfer of Requirements for Returns, at Schedule Line level and Reqts Class level, the result is that I can see requirements related to Returns in the availability check overview of Sales Orders (ATP count) but if I check in the requirements list (i.e. transaction MD04) these requirements related to Returns are not recorded. Why?
And also another point please: requirements generated from Return Orders, into ATP count are considered as normal Sales Orders (negative sign, reducing ATP quantity, when it should be the contrary because a goods receipt is expected).
Can you help me please on these 2 points (perhaps something related with Sales Document Category)?
    Thank you very much
    Kind Regards
    AP

I practically did a sample order / returns order to see your requirements and these are my observations
    a)
If you create a standard sales order, then the availability check registers a minus sign with stock required in Rec./reqd qty field.
Once you save the sales order, this is not seen again as the total quantity is reduced by sales order quantity.
It was indicating a minus sign when you created a returns order because you checked the Transfer of requirements and availability check indicators in schedule line category.
It was simulating a requirement as you checked the indicators in schedule line category.
If you create returns order with standard DN (i.e. Transfer of requirements and availability check indicators are not checked), then you would not see any requirement for stock i.e. you don't see any new entry in availability overview screen.
    b)
You are not seeing returned quantities in MD04 because of Movement types. This has nothing to do with Transfer of requirements.
Schedule line DN uses movement type 651.
Using movement type 651, you post returns from a customer with returns delivery to blocked stock returns.
The blocked stock returns are are neither valuated nor part of "unrestricted-use" stock.
Hence you are not seeing the returned stock in your available stock.
If you click the magnifying glass on total stock i.e. top line of your stock/requirements list (transaction MD04), you could see the returned quantity in 'Returns field'.
If you want to post returns from a customer with returns delivery directly to the valuated stock, you could use the following movement types in schedule line category.
653 Returns from customer to unrestricted-use stock
655 Returns from customer to stock in quality inspection
With these movement types, you could see returned quantities in stock/requirements list.

  • Transfer of requirements

    dear gurus,
can any body explain the transfer of requirements from salesorder to production..ie integration of sd and pp.
in sales orders what are all the pp parameters ?
                      -guna

    Hi Guna,
It is through the strategy group that is defined in the MRP 3 view that controls the integration b/w the two:
If for eg we take the strategy 20 that is classical make to order than  product is produced specifically for an individual sales order. This planning strategy is used when planning of the (parent) product is not required or not possible. Each product is specifically produced for an individual customer so that the finished product is rarely placed in stock.Similarly other strategy can be there for example strategy 82 when a sales order is created for the material, a production order is created automatically in the background. And as follows the other given by Mr.Bala.

  • Transfer of requirement

Pl explain me the transfer of requirement???

    Dear Shridhar Jannu,
    Transfer of Requirements
By means of the transfer of requirements, the MRP department is informed about the quantities and deadlines by which incoming orders should be delivered. The system checks the availability of the goods based on the requested delivery date of the customer and creates MRP records which contain all necessary information for passing on to materials planning. The transfer of requirements ensures that the goods are available in time for the delivery. Materials planning transfers the reported requirements and creates production orders or purchase requisitions from them, for example.
The following sections on the transfer of requirements describe how to control the transfer of requirements.
The transfer of requirements is basically dependent upon the following factors:
    requirements type
    requirement class
    check group
    schedule line category
    Note
The transfer of requirements is controlled globally using the requirements class which is derived from the requirements type for all sales document types. For the sales document types, fine tuning is also possible at schedule line level. This fine tuning is described in the section "Defining the procedure for each schedule line category".
Note that the requirements classes are also used in production so you should coordinate  any changes to the requirements classes with production. The requirements type and, eventually, requirements class are determined in the strategy group so all changes made there should also be coordinated with production.
Requirements transferred to planning are further processed in the module MM. You must, therefore, coordinate the transfer of requirements with the module MM.
    Requirements
For controlling transfer of requirements, you have to carry out the following steps:
    1. Each requirement type has to be allocated to one requirement class only.
    2. The transfer of requirements must be switched on at requirements class level, the sales documents at schedule line level.
    3. You must define a check group. It is possible to have this check group proposed for the initial creation of a material master record.
    4. Note that a plant must exist for transfer of requirements to be carried out at document item level.
    Note
Requirements transferred to planning are further processed in the module MM. You must, therefore, coordinate the transfer of requirements with the module MM.

  • What will happen if we did not maintain in transfer of requirement

    hi'
gurus in transfer of requirement if we did not maintained.  availability check like daily requirement or collective require what system will not do
    thanks in advance

    hi,
the availability check field  is used to specify whether indivual or collective requirments has to be created for the sales orders and shipping process .
it is one of the key factor for availability check for the sales orders ,if that is not maintained then availability check at the sales order level does not take place,
the schedule lines are not confirmed.
    hope  it helps

  • How to transfer the requirement from one plant  to many plants(STO)

    hai gurus,
    My scenario is as follows:
    1) Plant "A" is Receiving plant.
    2) Plant "B" ,Plant "C", Plant "D" is three production plant.
    3) All the above 4 plant under same company code 1000.
    4) Now plant "A" gets the requirements and pass on to all the three production plants, which
    is based on forecast.
    5) How the requirement to be passed on from plant "A" to all the three production plants namely B/C/D
    under sap
    6) After production of fert under 3 production plants the final products is transferred to the plant "A"
ware houses which is situated near by plants of B/C/D.
    7) Only one fert material( Fert 1) is common for all three plants produced based on the capacity at all three plants.
    8) Remaining fert material is plant specific, that is for Example Fert 2,3,4 produced only in plant" B"
Fert 5,6,7 produced in plant "C" and Fert 8,9,10 produced only in plant "D".
    How to map into sap
    waiting for the positive reply

    sekar chand

    Hi again,
For more details on stock transfer from alternative plant in MRP, see also the attached link:

Regarding FERT1, you can place sales order, but it will not trigger requirements in the manufacturing plant. Also, because all plants are in the same CC it is not a good idea.
If you are willing to do some manual/external work in determining how much of FERT1 will each manufacturing plant produce, then you can just manually create STOs accordingly. These STOs will generate MRP requirements in the manufacturing plants.

  • N95 8GB reboots periodically in data transfer mode

I have a new N95 8GB running firmware v20. Unfortunately, when I use the genuine USB cable and select "Data Transfer Mode" the phone reboots 60 seconds after I connect the cable (and thereafter each 60 seconds when I don't touch the phone).
I have tried with a non-genuine cable and the behaviour is the same.
Coincidentally the "Power Save Time-out" is set to 60 seconds. When I change this to another value, say 40 seconds, then the above rebooting happens every 40 seconds.
This appears to be a phone bug and makes it extremely difficult to use data transfer mode, unless you can transfer files within the power save time-out period, or unless you are prepared to press a button on the phone within this period.
    **Nokia please fix this**
    See related post: /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&thread.id=81967&view=by_date_ascending&page=1

Well, rotateme works perfectly for me and i have a n95 8gb too.So there are two things that might happening.
1.You are doing something wrong with the whole installation(does rotateme works when you install it?)
2.You downloaded your self a corrapted or somekind of a virus or a bug .sis file and installed it to your phone.
Why dont you try to download one other rotateme file for you?You can find plenty rotateme from a lot of users.I can send you mine,if you want send me an e-mail and i`ll send to you the .sis file that i used and as i said,it works fine for me.
    Peace

  • Transfer order requirement

    hi every one,
    my requirement is
If the transfer order is confirmed - i.e. VBUK-LVSTK (Overall WM status) is C,
HU determination should be done using FM - HU_GET_HUS by passing delivery number in IS_OBJECTS.
HU can be picked from table ET_HEADER. Material and quantity from ET_ITEMS
i.e if tranfer order is confirmed source storage unit are cuurently any moreAfter repacking in VL02N the displayed HUs are not currently anymore.
WM-TR is not yet confirmed, in this case the determination could stay unchanged

  • Gettings Fiscalyear period from Billing date code required

    Hi All,
my requirement is to get FISCAL YEAR PERIOD from Billing Date .Can any one send me the code to be written in transformation.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi ,
Please use the function module DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT.
Give your billing date under I_DATE and Fiscal variant under  I_PERIV (for eg 10).
This will gove you the posting period and fiscal year .Now concatenate year and posting period to get fiscal period.
    Below is the sample code
    call function 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'
        exporting
          i_date                      = Billing date
          i_periv                     = Fiscal varinat
        importing
          e_buper                     = lv_period
          e_gjahr                     = lv_year
        exceptions
          input_false                 = 1
          t009_notfound               = 2
          t009b_notfound              = 3.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
          ls_time-fiscper(4)      = lv_year.
        ls_time-fiscper+5(2)    = lv_period.
    endif.
    This will solve your problem.

  • Transfer of requirement from LTP to operative planning

    Hi,
I have run LTP for different 5 finished products by MS01 by creating one planning scenario.
After LTP run system has planned all the raw materials required for all five finished materials.
Now I want to transfer the planned orders for all raw materials to operative planning MD04. But I dont want to transfer the planned orders for the finised materials to MD04.
Through MD43 I can copy planned orders of raw materials to MD04 one by one (material wise).
Is there any way that I can transfer planned orders of all the raw materials to MD04 at once.
    Please guide........
    Nitin

    Dear Nitin,
I dont think a direct solution is possible ,either you can copy the values from one version to another using T
code MS64.The source version will be the inactive version and the target version will be 00.
One more T code MS66 for copying Simulative Dependent Requirements.

  • Half Period shifted Signal without copying code?

    Hi everyone!
Here is the code which generates accurate PWM for Half bridge Control with programmable dead-time, now here is the issue i want to shift the same signals on two DIO's with half the period of the signal. i ve tried following:
    1. I copied the same code in FPGA and delayed it with half period using a wait( but it is consumes double resources and some times the half period phase difference is also not accurate).
I need some other technique to shift the same signal by half-period( or copy paste the same signals onto 2 other outputs by not copying the same code and thus saving resources). Any help is appreciated.

  • Credit block orders transfer of requirements to SNP

    Hi Gurus,
I work on the Demand Planning stream, but i would like to know if APO SNP Heuristic would behave the same as R/3 regarding Credit Blocked orders.
in R/3 due to Requirement 101 in OVB8, the credit blocked sales orders do not get confirmed, yet they still send the requirements to MRP MD04.
what is the logic in SNP or PPDS for this, does a special requirement type gets generated in SNP, even though the Sales Order is not confirmed and not showing in APO DP?
    feedback appreciated
    regards
    JD Loera

    Jeevi,
I will never recommend what Siva has mentioned. What it means is that
    1. The "Item" - Component will no longer be copied when a Production/Process/Planned order is created.
    2. System does not create any reservation for that material.
    3. If you need to Issue that material to an order, it will be "unplanned" Issue.
Hope you understood the problems associated with this.....I would suggest to go with Planning strategy "11". If it is external Procurement look at different MRP type.
Reward your points is these were helpful to you,

I am trying to create a new Requirement Class in T code OVZG but in the details screen i am not able to change some fields like,Special Stock,w/o val start, strategy seq,costing.........etc, All in display mode how to make it in change mode.....
    Regards,
    Balarengan

    Hi Balarengan
There will be a loft of fields in REQUIREMENT CLASS which will be greyed out
That means the values for these fields are flowing from somewhere else
Say for example Special stock (this will be greyed out)
This flows from item category in VOV7
If you take the REQUIREMENT CLASS delivery requirement 011 then the special stock indicator will be blank in greyed out
If you take the REQUIREMENT CLASS make to order cons stock type 042 then the special stock indicator will be E in greyed out
Like that some controls cant be directly given flows from somewhere else
Check in PP forum for more inputs
It is certainly not related to authorizations
Special stock comes from SD side and like that from other modules as well said by Mr.Sadanandam
