Hi, I am due for an upgrade at the end of the month and am wondering if anyone could tell me if the Samsung Galaxy S6 is included in the perk discount? Sorry for the rant up there.. Thanks for your quick response. I couldn't get to an Apple store and can't order anything from the States that contains Lithium ION batteries -- no U.S. Postal Services will deliver these to us anymore. Target sold this to me as an unactivated Sprint phone. I never activated it through Sprint in the States and just took it to Germany with me. I updated to vs.6.0 via ITunes and without the Sprint SIM Card installed. The IPhone is now accessible (Apps, Settings, etc., to be able to check firmware, et al., settings. However, I can't tell if it's unlocked (since I upgraded the version without the Sprint SIM Card installed) until I go to the local cell phone shop and stuff in a BASE (provider) SIM card and test it out. Is there a way to tell whether or not the phone is unlocked without a SIM card in it? I don't think there is.... -
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2 Update
When will Verizon approve the Android 4.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus? The slowness of Verizon to approve updates is inexcusable! And to that I'll say, "I'm done!" I am so disgusted with Verizon and their inability to provide updates to what is supposed to be a "Nexus" device. It's not like they have to manipulate around manufacturer software. It's pure Google operating system. Load and test the drivers for CDMA and LTE and then launch the update. At the MOST that should take no more than 2 weeks! Since I have had my Nexus on Verizon, I have not recieved a single update prior to 2 months! Android 4.2 update from Android 4.1 is so miniscule and, might I add, required no additional new drivers, so what is the hold up Verizon? Where is the Android 4.2 update? And, yeah, I know some techy out there is going to say, " well why don't you just jailbreak and load it yourself?" Because I shouldn't HAVE to jailbreak my phone. It's not a matter of can I do it, it's why can't I do it without jailbreaking from Verizon? They sold this phone initially by claiming it to be a "pure Nexus" device and it's been nothing of the kind ever since! So I say, "I'm done!" That means that when my contract is up, I'm return to AT&T! They have upgraded the towers in the area that I live and my friends on AT&T say their signals are even better than Verizon's. AT&T's new LTE towers download at faster speeds than Verizon's too. I would have happily stayed with Verizon if they would have only taken the Pure Nexus experience seriously!
To those who have stated that I've said this for Jelly Bean 4.1, you are correct! The only reason I'm still here is because of the hefty penalty Verizon will charge me for terminating my contract early. My contract doesn't expire until December 2013 so it would be a rather hefty penalty to pay. But Android 4.2 has confirmed that Verizon refuses to change their position on slow updates, so when my contract is up (as I believe I stated on 4.1), you won't see REDNIBKRAM on Verizon anymore!
It appears as though the Verizon "love freaks" just can't seem to get the message. I'm not saying that the updates aren't difficult, I'm saying that if Verizon chooses to use CDMA technology over GSM and that requires them to jump through hoops to get updates completed, then they should have NEVER agreed to carry a "pure Nexus" device, or at the very least, should have NEVER advertised the device as such. My whole point is that Verizon LIED TO ME and told me that my phone was a "pure Nexus" device when I purchased it and switched from a GSM phone company (AT&T) when, in fact, they knew that I would NOT be getting updates directly from Google as the GSM versions of the SGN do. At the very least, if Verizon really wanted to make this right, they would offer to allow anyone with a SGN phone who was lied to when they purchased it to exit from their existing contract without penalty, so we can purchase a "TRUELY PURE NEXUS" phone direct from Google or provide us with a choice of another phone (Windows Phone, iPhone, etc.) without having to renew a 2 year contract.
All I'm saying is that if Verizon won't or can't update the phones they themselves advertised as a "pure Nexus" phone, then they should make it right to the people they lied to.I didn't go back to AT&T for JB in August because the of VERY HEFTY penalty I will have to pay for cancelling my contract early and I got the Android 4.1 JB update. Once I received the update and because the the penalty, I decided to give BIGRED another change at the next update. I thought, "maybe it was such a huge update that they really needed to make sure everything was done right." So, now here we are waiting for the 4.2.1 update and I'm still getting the same response from BIGRED as I got for JB 4.0 update. It's quite clear that VZ DOESN'T CARE about customer satisfaction. They use the excuse that they want their network to be the best and they want their phones to operate with little or no problems, yet when problems ARE discovered, it takes them months to send out the updates that Google has already released months prior. I have discussed updates with Verizon, Google and Samsung support personnel. I have even contacted Verizon Corporate and I fully understand the process by which updates are done, and believe me when I say that the update process at VZ is in serious need of restructuring. Especially when it comes to Android devices. But as far as this Android 4.2.1 update is concerned, I have spoken with Google and they have informed me that there was NO changes made to the operating system that would affect the CDMA or LTE drivers on the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus, so there should be no reason why Verizon would not want to release the update. The small changes (additions) to the operating system would in no way affect the communications on VZ. So why hasn't VZ released this update yet. Corporate says they need to test the software to ensure it doesn't affect communications on their network, yet Google hasn't changed anything in the operating system that would, so what are they testing? VZ may have the better network, but CARRIER EXPERIENCE ISN'T ALL ABOUT THE BEST CONNECTION. It's about customer SATISFACTION and not receiving updates on a pure NEXUS device in a timely manner is inexcusable and in NO WAY SATISFYING! So when my contract is up, I will be returning to AT&T or giving T-Mobile a try on a pure Nexus device with no contract!

Why does Flash player not work on samsung galaxy tablets?
Hello, I am wondering why they do not have flash player for samsung galaxy tab 3? I just recently got the 8.0 sized one and it has great features,but no flash player? To have an up to date electronic device,and older electronic devices carry it,but you won't put it on new devices? Is there a way to get it to work or download it? It has stopped me from viewing many different things on my tablet unfortunately and this may cause me to return it.
Android dropped all support for Flash last year (June 2012).
Going back to 2006, when Apple released the first iPhone and iOS 1, Steve Jobs was insistent that it be made incompatible with Flash Player because (in his words) playing Flash content is processor consumptive and kills batteries, and well as shortening battery life in mobile devices. Android came along a little while later, but their reason for droppiong Flash last year was the same.
Adobe continued developing "security updates" for the Flash Player that worked with older versions of Android, but even that ended in September of this year. Adobe will not continue development of a product for an incompatible format.
Android recommends either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" browser from the GooglePlay store (both are free). They use "server side" technology to play Flash content without taxing your tablet or phone's processor. -
Here's one for ya...went online to get myself a Galaxy Tablet when I was going through the process, they wanted my DL# and my SS# well to my amazement I wondered why? Well I got a hold of Verizon customer service and they connected me will tele sales...OK no problem...I asked them why they needed my info again since I have been a loyal customer for so many years..The guy was polite and set me up with some accessories and really hooked me up and I told him I had started the process of getting a tablet online and he said he would take care of it for me...So far so good...Well I waited for my tablet and when Fed - Ex came which was around 1130 on a Friday morning, I got two packages, it was two tablets..The one I started online and the one he set me up with and the two accessories. I had to find out which was which so I opened both of them, found the one I needed and boxed the other one up. Here's the problem I have with the tablet, couldn't get it hooked up to my Wi-Fi, first I thought it was my router but I have a laptop and a desktop and a wireless printer hooked up so it wasn't that, I spent a total of 7 hours trying to hook up the Wi-If to both tablets, and they were supposed to be " Certified Pre-Owned " or so I thought , I went through several tech support specialist even a Samsung rep and he wanted me to send the tablet to him, I'm thinking not so much, who knows when I would get it back so I called back to customer service with Verizon well, needless to say they I didn't get anywhere, so both of the tablets are pieces of junk..and they were going to send out another certified pre-owned tablet and I told the lady on the other line don't worry about it and I was done with it and she seemed shock and surprised when I said this. It goes to show you, you get what you pay for and I shipped both of them back the next day, and that's my story about the Samsung Galaxy Tablet, In my opinion I think they are pieces of junk....To everybody out there who reads this I wouldn't waste my money on them.......
I'm having trouble setting up my tablet with WiFi at home. Seems like I had it working at one point about a month ago, but now it will not connect to my home WiFi. It lets me connect with my neighbor's open WiFi, but I'd really rather not use theirs when we have WiFi here at home. The WiFi shows an icon with 4 bars in blue, a greet padlock to the left and a black badlock over the blue bars. When I try to enter my password it still doesn't work. I'm wondering if there is a way to unlock it that I'm not aware of. Anyone have any idea on how to get this working?

VPN connection to WRVS4400N using a Samsung Galaxy tablet
I have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and have bee trying to connect to my WRVS4400N router with VPN through the "on board" software as well as with the Any Connect software from Cisco. I have no issues at the moment using Quick VPN from my laptop.
When using the Any Connect software I receive the following messages:
Security warning: untrusted certificate
AnyConnect cannot verify the identity of <IP address>. Would you like to continue anyway?
- Certificate does not match the server name.
- Certificate is from an untrusted source.
- Certificate is not identified for this purpose
[Accept] [Details] [Cancel]
If I select accept, the following error is received:
"Error: Connection attempt has failed due to server communication errors. Please retry the connection".
I have tried setting up the on board VPN with the Samsug Galaxy but every attempt has resulted in a time-out of the connection.

The WRVS4400N only works with the QVPN software. The only small business router at this current time works with the Cisco any connect vpn is the SA500 series routers.

Cisco Jabber for Android on a Samsung Galaxy Xcover (GT-S5690)

Yesterday we installed the Cisco Jabber client for Android on the Samsung Galaxy Xcover (GT-S5690) phone.
First we had some issue's with one-way voice, but suddenly this problem was occured.
Another problem, which is still there, is when you wants to check your compagny Voicemail (Unity) with the Cisco Jabber client.
We can access the Voicemail system (Unity), the we must fill-in the pincode followed by hash.
As you can see in the attached file, this can't be done.

Hopefully can this small issue be fixed. Our customer ordered 150x Samsung Galaxy XCOVER (GT-S5690) for working with Cisco Callmanager.

I switched over from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S3 & I haven't been able to receive any text messages from iPhones. I have no problem sending the text messages but I'm not receivng any from iPhones at all. It has been about a week now that I'm having this problem. I've already tried fixing it myself and I also went into the sprint store, they tried everything as well. My last option was to contact Apple directly. Please help with turning my iMessage completely off so that I can receive my texts.
If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

So last night my boyfriend upgraded his old Samsung galaxy to the Samsung Galaxy s4. He was able to receive a few of my text messages, but then they randomly started saying "not delivered." I turned on and turned off my phone, and tried the turning off and on imessage and facetime but nothing has worked and I still can't text him. I am receiving his messages just fine, I just can't send any to him. I looked onlne at Apple Support for help but I noticed a majority of the problems were coming from people that switched from iphone to an android, but he has always had an android and I've been using the same iphone 4s the whole time. It is really bugging me, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I just traded in my iPhone 4S for Samsung Galaxy 4S, still have iPad. Some of my iPhone contacts are unable to send me a txt that I can receive. But NOT all of my iPhone contacts. I have had them change their settings for my ph number to NOT say iPhone. Txt msg is disabled on iPad. I have no idea what to do. I called the support line that I Pay $9.99 a month for. They told me to delete my iTunes account. Will I lose all my pics on my ipad? I have no music download. I'm getting ****** at this whole thing. And it allllllll started with apples update to the ios7.... I HATED IT. Help.
What your iPhone using friends label your phone number in their contacts is irrelevant. I don't know who you pay $9.99 a month to but it's not Apple. You can't disable text messaging on your iPad as it is not capable of SMS.
Do you still have the iPhone? If so, log out of iMessage on the iPhone.
Try this:
Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Log in if not already logged in.
Click on "Edit Products"
Click on the "X" to the right of the product.
Click "Unregister"
Also, try changing the password on your iTunes account. -

I just bought an new ipad mini with wifi and cellular. Is there any way to send text messages to people and contacts that do not have iphones such as friends with blackberrys or a samsung galaxy smartphone from this ipad. Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?
