Permanently disable this security feature

So I ask again in a very easy simple way: is there any possibility how I either can permanently disable this security feature which tell you "This Connection is Untrusted" through e.g. changing anything in about:config . Or, is there any way that this can be done easier, e.g. take IE or Chrome as an example. There you can pass this with max two mouse clicks.

Thank you for your answer.
Though I am (also) an IT Professional, so I do understand the problem why it appears. I can only speak for myself: we have a bunch of we based services we offer in our company. I do understand that the problem are not the websites, but it is me and my IT department that we did not implement our certificate in all web servers in a right. (yes, we will do this, it is in our pipeline...). However, I just see that it is easier with IE and Chrome to pass this security breach, what it isn't, as it is only our internal web services, some of them at least.
However, so for me when i am testing applications it would be easier that it would be more user friendly with Firefox, like with Chrome and IE.
So I guess the answer is NO then, that at the moment there is no other way to pass this security question.
So, my feedback to Mozilla: even if the problem is somewhere else, please make it more user friendly on your side => less mouse clicks, and messages what a normal user also understands, like in Chrome....
Thanks.

  • How to permanently disable this message: "Press Esc to exit full screen." (by Adobe Flash Player) in Mac's Safari Browser?

    Hello everyone,
I have been searching for sometime (without any success) for a solution to permanently remove this annoying message: "Press Esc to exit full screen."
Whenever I go to full screen mode, watching any video on YouTube, BBC, CNN (or many other websites which use Adobe Flash Player for streaming video) I have to bare seeing this message for several seconds until it fades away. Seeing this message once or twice would have been okay, but as we all watch many videos on a daily basis on internet, after weeks, months and now years seeing this message over and over again many times every day, it becomes very annoying, and I find myself rewinding many videos to their beginning after this message fades away to be able to watch it from the beginning without anything obstructing it!
Does anyone know how to "permanently" disable this message from appearing?
I am using the latest version of Safari 6.0 on the latest version of OS X (Mountain Lion 10.8.1), and have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (Plug-in version 11.4.402.265) installed on my new MacBook Pro 15" with Retina Display.
    Thanks,
    Ally

    Thanks Carolyn,
I am attaching a screenshot here for you to see that this setting was already set to what you suggested. I didn't need to change it as it was like this even before I post this message.
So the problem still presists and unfortunately your suggestion is not a solution to this probelm.
Last night I did more reseach and found a discussion in Adobe website, it seems a lot of other people have the same issue, and even started a discussion in Adobe website about it. But unfortunately Adobe refuses to address it and enable the end user at least to have an option to turn this message off from displaying permanently on his/her computer.
I am writing down the url links for the two posts regarding this issue on Adobe's website:
    Link #1: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/921270
    Link #2: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3058752
Hopefully more people will get involved and ultimately we will either get Adobe's attention, or someone will find a "hack" and post it here for all of us. I have found some suggested "hacks" for Windows environment (you can simply google it, I am sure you will find them too). But so far I haven't seen anything for Mac's Safari browser.
    Cheers,

  • When I'm on an email FF stops me from linking to other pages/sites. Requires that I press Allow. This started recently. How do I disable this annoying feature?

When I am reading an email that I received and want to follow a link in that email, FF prevents me from doing so. It shows a new pane informing me that FF has prevented me from following the link. If I click the "Allow" button in the upper left-hand corner, I am then linked through.
This does not happen when I am on a particular website. In that case I have no trouble navigating the indicated links.
FF Preferences does not give me a way to disable this annoying feature that slows me down.
This problem started recently - possibly the last two weeks. It recurs whenever I use FF.
How can I disable this annoying "feature"?

    You're welcome

  • Does the Blackberry Curve have this security feature?????

I have had a number of cellphones in my day, all with modest security features. Then I came across a Samsung phone...This phone allowed me to lock down everything, to the point that if someone turned the phone off and turned it back on it was still locked, but I digress.
I know have purchased the BBerry 8330. I have tinkered around within the security setting and I am not that happy.  I want to be able to restrict incoming and outgoing calls. At present, if the phone is "locked" a call will still show and it will still be able to be answered which in my estimation defeats the purpose of locking the phone.  Can anyone help me?

    hello,
when I turn my Curve off (red button) then turn it on, I can't use the phone unless I type the 4 digits code. Until I do so, there is no network coverage, meaning I can't answer a call because the call never reaches my device.
If you don't have that, please check the security options :
home screen >> options >> Advanced options >> SIM card
then open the menu and set the security.
The search box on top-right of this page is your true friend, and the public Knowledge Base too:

  • Is there a way I can permanently disable the security lock thing in System Preferences?

Aside from logging and using the root account on a daily basis, is there a way to permanently be rid of the security lock thing in System Preferences?
Yosemite has a bug (?) where if an Admin account has its password set to blank (empty), you can't remove the security lock...
You can click it, it'll ask for Username and Password (Why?), and when you click on 'Unlock', it unlocks for a brief moment and instantly locks itself again...
This is beyond infuriating. Do advise.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.  However I'm quite aware that the sleep/wake button disables the screen.  Unfortunately, mea maxima culpa, I sometimes accidentally hit shuttle before I've pressed the sleep/wake button, often when I am trying to do more than one thing at once.  Sometimes I accidentally hit shuffle at other times too,eg when waking up the phone.
This is especially exasperating when listening to classical pieces with multiple movements.  I will look for an alternative music player for the iphone, as I don't think the default music application and I are a good match.
    Thanks again,
    Tim Blackwell

  • Research panel randomly pops up - how to DISABLE this unwanted feature ?

EXCEL does this randomly - slows the computer to a crawl - I have to close EXCEL and restart computer to get 10 minutes of work done in EXCEL...  HOW DOES ONE DISABLE forever, in all applications, ESPECIALLY EXCEL, this unwanted "RESEARCH"
    feature ???
This is so annoying and I have found dozens of folks who have posted the same problem, but cure/fix has surfaced from MICROSOFT...
Microsoft, are you listening ?  How do I stop  RANDOM  pop-ups in EXCEL  ??

    Hi
I'm sorry to hear that the "research" feature annoyed you so much. Let me help you with the issue.
Go to File>Option>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings>Privacy Options>Cancel the selection "Allow the research pane to check for and install new service".
I have tried it in my computer, it worked well.
Some of our customers solve the problem by more methods below, we can also refer to it:
1.Add/Remove Programs ---> Microsoft Office ---> Add or Remove Features ---> expand Office Tools ---> disable Research Explorer Bar
2.Press Alt-F11 to open the VB Editor. Press Ctrl-G to open the Immediate Window.Type this line and press Enter:
    Application.CommandBars("Research").Enabled = False

  • Disable Java Security Warning: Allow access to the following application from this web site?

    Dear all,
When I open web intelligence with BI launchpad, this warning has been shown:
"The web site is requesting access and control of the Java application shown above. Allow access only if you trust the web site and know that the application is intended to run on this site.
Allow access to the following application from this web site?"
and it has just three button of "Yes", "No" and "Help".
I go to Java Control Panel and Security tab, then set security level on the "Medium" and add my site in the Exception Site List but this warning is shown each time I open web intelligence.
I have searched the internet very much but I haven't found any solutions for disabling of it. How can I disable this security warning?

  • How do I disable the "Security Warning" - encrpted script message when I log in to a website using https ? If I cannot get the website owner to change it's code

    ''dupe of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1027400 - locking''
Whenever I log onto a website via https, I get this message and am unable to have Firefox save my password for the website.
Another user asked this question and it was answered, however, the user was asking in the context of his own website where he was able to change the code.
I am unable to change the code for this website but would like to disable this message and have Firefox remember my password for the user id I type in.
Whenever I log onto a website via https (including my website), I get this message:
Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party. Are you sure you want to continue sending this information? This is followed below with two boxes, "continue" and "cancel".
In order to connect with the website, I must click on "continue" each time I log onto the website. HOW do I permanently DISABLE this message?
    Chosen solution
Firefox gives that error because the page is on HTTPS but your form action is HTTP:
    <form action="http://eclipse69forum.com/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=login&do=process" method="post" id="login">
Can you change that to HTTPS?

There is a disconnect here: if the form is being submitted securely, then you would not get that message. So although you may be looking at an HTTPS address in the address bar, Firefox is warning you that your username and password are going to an HTTP address and being transmitted in the clear rather than being protected.
That's definitely not the normal way to set up a login page. Do you want to give the URL of the problem login page to get specific comments? Without knowing more, it sounds as though it isn't designed for secure logins and you may be wasting your time accessing their login form using HTTPS.
Anyway, to answer your question, I don't think there is a way to disable that warning.

  • How can I permanently disable the pixel grid for all images forever?

I keep turning this off with View -> Show -> Pixel grid and it keeps coming back every time I zoom in on a new image.
Is there a registry setting I can change to permanently disable this feature? Or any other way?

Perhaps a Prefs Reset will fix this. Hold down ctrl-alt-shift and start Photoshop.

  • Permanently disable show results in printer settings

I have to send out 20+ pdf reports from Excel every day and its infuriating having to manually go into the print settings and unchecking 'view PDF results' every time. How do I permenently disable this stupid feature?

The features that you want to be permenant in the printer have to be changed at the printer, not in the application printer window. That is true for most printers. Applications load the printer settings from the system when they open. You are only changing those loaded settings, not the original. If the "stupid" option was eliminated, there would be just as many folks (or a lot more that are used to it) asking what happened to it. It is nice to have the option; sorry that you do not like the default.

  • I do NOT want firefox to load 200 MB EVERY time i start it JUST because it wants to load the last pages that were opened. How do I disable this?

I usually close firefox through the windows taskmanager with the "end process" command because it always becomes unresponsive sooner or later (i think due to website scripts that stop responding).
Anyway when i open it afterwards i have to wait like 1-2 min while it loads and loads and loads (150-250 MB ram) all the sites that were opened in the previous session. I do NOT want this i want to disable this horrible feature but currently that is not an option. Or is it ? How can I disable it?
I want my firefox to start up quickly without loading previous sessions no matter how it was closed.

im asking how to disable that not how to enable it ... in my "when firefox starts:" box ive chosen "show my home page" but it still loads stuff from last time because i've closed the program by ending the process in taskman. ... which i explained in the question but w/e thanks anyway

  • How can I permanently disable automatic page updates?

When I log into my Yahoo e-mail I get the following message:If you are using a screen reader and having problems using Mail, it might help to disable automatic page updates. Please note, this will also disable chat and text messaging within Yahoo! Mail. You can toggle automatic updates on and off using the link below. (Disable automatic page updates.) How can I permanently disable this in Firefox. I don't have these issues with IE8.

I have this same problem and it occurs with other websites (like ESPN.com) too. Only I don't get the option of disabling automatic page updates on other websites. I disabled and reinstalled Mozilla and it went away for a short while. About two weeks later the same problem popped back up.

  • Need to permanently disable outdated plugin notification

I have an iMac G5 (PowerPC) running OS 10.5.8 with Firefox 3.6.28. I am constantly getting a yellow bar across the top of my browser for almost every web page, stating that "Some plugins used by this page" with a prompt to update my plugins. However, the plugins in question are '''the''' most up-to-date versions available for this browser for this operating system for this computer. This is very annoying.
Other than the obvious fix (buy an Intel-based Mac), how can I permanently disable this notification?

Type '''about:config''' and filter for <b>plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin</b> and double-left-click or right-click and toggle this to '''true'''

  • PDF Version Warning - can I disable this?

    Hi,
We have to open a lot of individual PDF documents in my office.  Almost all of them open up with this warning: "WARNING: This PDF contains pages created with a version other than Acrobat 7.0..."
It would be great if we could disable this message from popping up when we open PDF files.  Does anyone know how to disable it?  The red warning up top says you can "Suppress PDF Version Warning" by right clicking and selecting that option, but the warning still comes up every time we open a new document.  Can we permanently disable this warning?  I have attached a screen shot below.  Please let me know, thanks for your help!

  • HOW to permanently disable Tap to Click? Keeps re-enabling !@$#@&# HP 2000 Notebook PC Windows 7

I sincerely hope whoever implemented this featurehas [edited comment by moderator].  I was so tempted to just throw this machine out, or donating it to a homeless person though the latter could possibly be considered an act of cruelty.
Anyway, no matter how many times I disable tap to click, before long my laptop is clicking everything against my will, again. Is there a way to permanently disable this without permanently destroying the whole of the physical machine (which is growing increasingly tempting)?
My drivers are all up to date. So far I could only find a vague suggestion to edit the registry without details as to how and where.

    Hi @hypgnosis ,
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publically post ( serial numbers and case details).
