Permanently printing the date on photos?

I take lots of pictures of my grandchildren, & will print 40 to 50 different shots at a time, using CS3 or Elements 6; is there a way to get the date to default on the pictures or do I have to put it on each individual photo?

Or are You intending to include the date not on the image but only on the print?

I want to print the date the image was taken (available as EXIF-data) as an automatic watermark (or otherwise as a caption ON the photo, and not as a header of a footer above or under the photo). I can't find how to do it. Any help? Thanks!

The only way you could batch this with out of the box PE is to put in via process multiple files in the editor, but you'd have to manually type it in and can only do one date per batch of files. So you could do all the photos taken on one day in one batch, but not a group taken on different days.

Printing the date in PSE8

I am trying to print the date on my photos in PSE8. I have checked the box in the "More options" sections of the print box, but the date is not printing. How can I get this to work?

Please attach the screenshot of the settings you are doing on main print dialog and More options dialog box. In case you are using scaled to fit media, then this will not work.
Also in case u can try printing other image and check if the issue is with this image or application

I am using window.print() to print the data of my webpage, it prints only first page and left the remaining while it works fine with IE and Google Chrome, ie print all the pages.

My Page has data more than one page, it has verticle scroll bar to view all data .
I used window.print() to print the data of webpage, but it prints only first page and left the remaining information.
This works fine with Internet Explorer 6+ and Google Chrome.

How do I *REALLY* change the date on photos?

I'm having trouble with this, and I'm sure there has to be a fix.
Let's say I took a group of photos last week. But oops, I forgot to set the date and time on my camera. So when I import the photos, iPhoto places them under April 2004 instead of June 2007.
No problem. I select all the photos, do a batch change on the date, and they now "appear" to be taken in June 2007.
But they weren't really changed. If you view the info for the photos, you'll see that they are still marked as April 2004 for the original date.
So basically iPhoto has set-up some type of filter to show the photos in 2007, even though the computer still believes they are from 2004.
This became a big problem when I imported my library to my new Mac. Perhaps I did something incorrectly, but I had quite a few imported photos that reverted back to their Original date, instead of the fake one I had set up in iPhoto. So my Library was a mess and I had to re-organize my collection.
This problem would be avoided if iPhoto really and truly changed the date timestamp on my pictures, as I asked.
I've downloaded several programs that offer photo meta editing. None of them did the job. They just changed the photo "Date Modified" to be June 2007. But if you look at their properties, they still show 2004 as the Original Date.
Mac OS X is a very smart system. Surely there is some way to truly force change the dates on photos. Afterall, they are just data in themselves. I can't imagine there isn't a way.
Can you help? Is there a work-around in iPhoto or OSX, or a separate program I can download?

Dragging the thumbnails to the desktop and exporting are essentially the same process, producing copies of the full sized image file. Exporting gives you other options, however. Once you get the photos out of iPhoto you can run PhotoInfo on them and then import as new files. iPhoto will see those new files with the correct date. If you try running PhotoInfo on files already in iPhoto, you can change the EXIF Capture Date in the file but iPhoto won't recognize the changes.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Is there any way to print the data inside the Notes field of MIR6 Report

We need to include the data inside the Notes field in the report MIR6 - INVOICE OVERVIEW - report.
Is there any way to print the data inside (comments) the Notes field as well in the Report ?
We found that the only way is to open the Notes and print it, but it takes time, any idea ?

There's nothing built-in that does that. If you only have text fields and they don't have any formatting or other property that would prevent it (e.g., Date, character limit), you can run a simple script to populate each field with the field name, and then print. A more complicated approach would be a script that adds text annotations near/over each field that shows the field name. This would just be for documentation purposes, but it's possible. Post again if you'd like help with the first. You'll probably have to pay someone for the second approach if you don't want to do it yourself.

If you have an internal table which fetches the data... Then you can have table in each window and in the data tab give from row and to row values to display how many records and from where to where you want to display.

Hi,
You can pass the image url as a href attribute=> file:///Users/me/Documents/my_pic.jpg directly within your xml. It just needs that you pass a local, static and valid url.
If you want to add image later once the xml is flowed and so target specific nodes and inject images, it's a bit more complex. If the node is not part of the layout, you may try to reach the XMLElement objet and such an attribute, then layout the element.

If already placed, then you have to get the associated pageItem, then place your file into it.

Trying to print the date arrays in reverse order....

I'm trying to print the dates in the arrays in reverse order using the for loop, but its not working and i think ive got something in the wrong order perhaps the constructor or method. Or do i need to define 'a', because i tried it and i couldn't unless, probably because i was putting the wrong code for it.

I don't see where this 'a' variable is declared anywhere, so what did you expect it to do? Also, you can't just call Date's printDate method from your Array class like that. You really need to start with the java tutorials or take a course. The forums aren't going to effectively teach you the very basics.
