Permanently turning off syncing for iPad and Outlook

I am needing to find out how to permanently turn of the synching between iPad and Outlook when I connect the iPad to the main computer. I tried what was written in the manual, but I could not find out how to do the first step mentioned.

To turn off Wireless Syncronization of Contacts and Calendar for any email account try this :
On your Homescreen Go to Setup > Email Account > Highlight Email Account > Press the Menu key > Select Edit > On that Screen Scroll down and under Syncronization Options UNcheck or UNmark Contacts and Calendars > Then Save it ( You may get prompt to validate it by entering your email password )
I hope it will resolve your issue.

I haven't tried it yet, but I believe this would disconnect Bluetooth for both the phone and music. I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata if this will help.

How do I unlock Find My iPad or iCloud lock with out a password on iPad 2, 3, 4. I tried once on one iPad starting from iCloud, type oooooooo, the click OK and cancel. Then I went back to delete the word, "iCloud" click DONE and OK. Find My iPad wasn't deleted this time. I think the idea is to make sure Find My iPad is off. Then I can delete the LOCK or account that came with the device. HELP!

I didn't put in detailed information.
Believe it or not, I was able to remove iCloud lock on an iPad by hitting 8 zeros as a password (since I didn't have one) and made sure the Find My iPad was off. That is called a bypass.
Needless to explain much, I am more looking for a solution to turn off Find My iPad on another iPad and I have not been successful.
I looked up many clips on YouTube. I wonder that Apple has updated terms and conditions with a more secured feature on iCloud.

Can i turn off sync for some files?

In dropbox and box you can decide which files to sync to the desktop. I have limited space on my computer to sync all the files that I want to keep in the cloud portion.

We recently enabled a part of this capability by enabling users to turn off syncing of selected shared folders from Creative Cloud and I've added some instructions on how to do this here:

We do not currently offer the ability to selectively sync your own files and folders unless they are shared folders but it's useful to hear that you would like this feature and we are working on how we might enable it.

I just found it out recently since he bought a new apple device ios 8, and all his bookmarks in safari kept on appearing on my ipad and the customer guide books that he purchased for his ios 8 appeared on my ibooks. Log onto ePrintCenter and select the print app that you wish to pause. Click on “setup,” then “Update settings,” then choose “Pause” for the desired amount of days. You can also select the print app from the printer panel and select “pause”.

Plug the iphone in and go to the music tab in the iphone,not your itunes library.There will be a button in the borrom right that says autofill. Click that and it should thransfer all your music. It worked for me,and i had the same problem.

Turning off sync for an audiobook

In the new version of iTunes, how do I tell software not to sync a particular audiobook to my iphone after I have finished listening to it? I think I see how to turn the sync on, but not how to turn it off.

Oh, I see. It's pretty much the same as before. I clicked on the audiobooks button while I was logged onto iTunes, which lets you see what's in your library, but can't turn off the sync. I forgot you have to click the iphone button first, then go to your audiobook library. It's easy if you do the rigth way.

Turning off compatibilty for itunes and windows

bassically i have upgraded and ever since my music is skipping, part playing or only on one speaker. i-tunes states to turn off the compatability with an older windows player, how and waht does this mean please someone help

Turning off notification for Mail and Sparrow?

i have moved the MAIL icon and the Sparrow icon to the bottom of the Notifications section of Preferences and i am still getting rounder off rectangle notifications on every email that comes into my MBP at the top right of my screen. this is making life difficult for me in terms of getting work done.
i checked in mail preferences for a settting and i do not have growl installed AFAIK so i am at a loss as to why these keep showing up.
anybody have any ideas on what i am missing?

Turning off sync... deletes everything????? Huh?

I don't really need to re-sync my iPhone apps over and over again.
(Since I haven't changed anything.)
But when I try to turn off syncing (unchecking the 'sync apps' box)... iTunes 7.7.1.11 warns me that I'm about to DELETE ALL my apps from my PHONE.
Huh? I don't want to delete anything, anywhere.
Why can't I simply 'don't sync anymore'... and just leave everything else
exactly as it is???
Wow. Can't I control what I delete/keep, instead of "we will destroy everything for you, whether you want to, or not"?

Well, when you uncheck "sync applications" on the app tab, it assumes that you don't want the apps on your device and deletes them. Note that if you keep it checked, it will only sync apps that CHANGED since the last update - meaning it will do nothing if no apps have changed. What's wrong with this default behavior? - it seems to make sense to me. What am I missing?
You can also choose to manually sync everything for the first tab's checkbox.

I've just bought an iPhone 5S in the UK, seems like a big mistake, but luckily by law we can return goods, which is exactly what is going to happen if I cant get this to work. This is my business phone, not having it functional can cost me money.

The phone currently has no contacts or calendar information installed.

I'm happy you figured it out and just try to keep in mind that not everyone you talk to at support will give the same advice or have the same knowledge. Just like those who contribute to these forums. Sometimes Google is your best friend.
I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)
