  • The file is damaged and it can not be repaired (PDF Printing in Z-program)

I am opening this thread on behalf of my colleague Merja regarding a problem while trying to print using the Integrated ITS 6.40.
The problem happens when using webgui directly. Support Package level is 21 and kernel 640 patch 196. Note 771683 regarding printer with access
method 'F' and device type 'PDF1' is already in place. 'Output immediately' opens the preview. Error still exists when using "print preview" button.
The issue occurs when trying to review the Employment Contract within the portal UI. The actual print is finished correctly but the "Print Review" function returns HTTP 500 error, "The file is damaged and it can not be repaired".
When we perform the same activity in system R/3 within the transaction SE38, with our Z-program everything works correctly and no problems occur.
Could you please help solving this issue?
    Thanks and regards,
    Merja

Not sure if the flollowing will be of use, but worth a try?…
Try changing the .ai to .eps or .pdf to see if anything happens to see if it makes a difference to importing or exporting as a pdf?
If you have Indesign, try importing the file into Indesign then saving that file as a pdf or/and export as a Indesign eps file.
Sorry I cannot be of any more assistance.
    Good luck!

  • Disk utility recomends backing up files after hard drive can not be repaired?

My Mac mini will not complete the boot process. I am able to get to the disk utility by using the Snow Lepard disk that I recently purchased and pressing the option key. Disk utility is telling be that my disk can not be repaired and I should back up as much data as I can and reload the software.
Is there another disk repair program that could possibly fix what disk utility can not? Is it worth a try?
    If not...
How do I back up data on the mounted disk since I can not access it? Do you recommend a perticular external hard drive and software to manage my backups?
    Thank you.

  • [nQSError: 13049] User 'BISYSTEMUSER' with 'empty' permission can not query

    Hi,
On my local OBIEE 11.1.1.5 Windows 64 bit, I get [nQSError: 13049] error all the time. I understand this must be my configuration is wrong somehow, but comparing with correct installations I can't find a clue, and can't find anything from google either.
Could you please suggest what can be wrong? How to add permissions?
    - log in to obiee as weblogic/welcome1
    - Administration -> Manage Privileges
    - get: State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 13049] User 'BISYSTEMUSER' with 'empty' permission can not query user population. Please have your System Administrator look at the log for more details on this error. (HY000)
    I have
    - console: myrealm->Users->weblogic and BISystemUser, both in Administrators, BIAdministrators groups
    - em: bifoundation_domain->Security->Credentials, system.user=BISystemUser
    Thanks,
    Wei

    Try doing the following things:
    1) Make sure the user ID you are using as BISystemUser in EM is linked to the BISystemuser role
    2) Add the weblogic user ID to Bi administrator role. ( Do the association in EM ).
    This should solve your problem.
    Thanks,
    -Amith.

  • Macintosh HD is damaged and can not be repaired

I have been having problems with my MacPro Book; it had the gray with apple and wouldn't do anything. I followed the direction and now I have Macintosh HD is damaged and can not be repaired.  Is there anything I can do at this point?

Reboot while holding down Command + R, see if you can use Disk Utility to erase the drive. If so, reinstall OS X.

  • When I run Verify Disk Permissions I get something that can not be repaired.

When I run Verify Disk Permissions I get something that can not be repaired. The message I get is
    Permissions differ on “Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Resources/Safari.help/Contents/Resources/inde x.html”; should be lrwxr-xr-x ; they are -rwxr-xr-x .
When I run a repair disk permissions it does not get rid of this.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

I would recommend that you don't waste your time with "Verify."  Go straight to "Repair Permissions."
The chances are excellent that you will get that one advisory, and at the end it will say "Repair Permissions Completed."
There are lots of those notations that will seem to us everyday users as an "error."  But it's just noted changes.
If after running "Repair" it says "Repair Permissions Could Not be Completed," that's the only time you ned to worry.
And, I totally agree with what Niel said.  Sorry, did not see his reply when I poster.

  • Do not buy TC! It can not be repaired other than by apple!

I was first off the mark with this, pre-ordered, got it, looked great. Then. Crash, crash and more crash. Can not get at it to even reformat it! It says the disk needs repair but there is no repair option! What the hey? So do they mean take it to apple? How is there no option for repair in Airport utility? Disk utility doesn't recognize it. Im stuffed! Have I missed something here? I have had nearly every apple from 1984 on, even own the Australian Mac web sight! No one is more committed to Apple but this is not a good product in its present form. Mine is going back today!
Time Machine rendered my WD 500 Gig a paper weight and now this!. I am now looking for 10000 3 1/4 floppies to back up as that seems to be the most reliable LOL

you can pull that drive and install it in a Mac or external enclosure to deal with your problem(Disk Utility will recognize it) if its not under warranty. its not a difficult procedure.

  • Everytime i open itunes it crashes labor day weekend, can not even repair file on pc

anyone know what is going on with iTunes?  every time I open it labor day weekend it crashes.  I can not if go in to the program repair to get it to work again.  I had to do that a couple weeks ago.  but this time it is not working at all.
    any ideas?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

  • Is this dangerous: 'PERMISSION WILL NOT BE REPAIRED'?

    Hello to all,
Last night I had put my Mac to sleep; today, when I woke it up I found a pop up stating that I had not ejected the disk properly, and that there will be an attempt to repair it. [It did not state which disc had not been ejected properly...I have several externals attached]. The pop up also instructed me that next time I eject a disk, I should select and eject it using the finder. My problem is this: I had only put the Mac to sleep and had not ejected any of the drives attached.
Anyway, thinking that it is better for me to do so, I opened up disk utility and started to repair/ repair permissions. All the external drives were given a clean chit, but while repairing disk permissions for the internal hard drive, I encountered this statement:
May I be informed by enlightened members as to what action I should recourse to in this matter? Is this a matter to be greatly concerned about?
    Thanks in advance.

There are many messages resulting from repairing permissions that can be ignored. See this Apple note for the list.

Did you try zeroing the Drve before installing?
      1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
       2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
       3. Click the Erase tab.
       4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
       5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
       6. Highlight the drive, select Partition Tab, then Format type... MacOS Extended Journalled, select the Security Options button, choose Zero Out Data, Erase... after completion hopefully you'll be able to install.
