Permission to save

hi
I create a interative form pdf in liveclyce and i can´t save this file in another computer only save a blank copy.
Where can I give permission for this purpose?
Can help?
Hugo Correia

Interactive PDF forms cannot be saved in Reader. There are three options:
1) Use Acrobat rather than Reader.
2) Use the server component LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES to enable save from Reader.
3) With limitations, use Acrobat Pro or Extended to enable users to save form data in Reader. See http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Standard/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7e0d. w.html

  • Lost document on my new MAC because I accidentally saved on another account that I had no permission to save to..now I don't know where the doc is but I just know its somewhere on the computer..maybe the temp files or something?!sos! please help me!!

I saved a document, while logged in as a Guest, to another user account [it was set up for some reason to save like that (I guess the person who used computer last did that) and I didn't check before "saving"] on accident. Of course I didn't have permission to save on the other user's account but I was in a rush and so I figured everything was fine but later I found that there was a message warning me saying it did not save because it couldn't save because I had no permission to save on that account and gave me the option to duplicate or cancel.. I wasn't paying attention so I can't remember which button I hit but clearly it wasn't "duplicate"
I took hours perfecting this document and now I can't find it.. anywhere!
Where do these types of things go when this happens.. I know it's somewhere on the computer but where?? SOS I need the doc and I'm hoping I can find it
I guess it's the same as someone who accidnetly hits "don't save"... question still stands.. please anyone help me!!!
I'm trying to use Disk Drill but I only found things from November and it seems like it only shows files that have been physically/manually deleted..and my TIME MACHINE WAS NOT SET UP..because we recently got this MAC computer and had no clue what it was
maybe its in some temp files somewhere..where do not saved documents go.. i know that it is probably writable but I know that is probably still exists
ANYONE WITH INFO PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!

    tis true
I know, I always do that but I was in a rush to get somewhere and I was relying on my thousand dollar Mac to do some kind of recovery or something. I know Microsoft always keeps temporary files (I think Mac does too, part of me asking here in this forum was for someone to tell me where I can find those files) and when you go to open Office Works then it gives you the option of opening the last recent documents, saved or not saved.
I usually copy paste into my emial just in case something goes wrong with the created document but I just didn't have the time to login and do all that My loss, you live and you learn, BUT still if ANYONE got any info on this, PLEASE DO CHIME IN *keeping the hope alive*

  • How to get permission to save the Bevels.ai file

I'm trying to create a 3d pyramid and I was following this link tutorial:  Create a Pyramid in Adobe Illustrator CS3 « Layers Magazine.  I was able to find the Bevels.ai file and create the 45-degree line symbol.  Then I got to the point where I had to save the document.  When I did File>Save, the following message came up: Can't save the illustration.  The file may be read-only, or the file is in use by another application, or you don't have the required permissions.  Please save the document with a different name, or in a different folder, or directory.  -54.  I checked the file to see if it was a read-only by right-clicking on the file, choosing Properties, General.  The read-only part wasn't checked and I know the file wasn't open in another application.  The only other option is that I don't have the permission to save the document.  Does anyone know how I can get the permission to save the document?  Thank you.

Fix your computer's user permissions, check your network connection, turn off virus scanners etc.. This has nothing to do with AI per se, some external process is making AI "lose" the connection to the original file and it gets locked.

since upgrading to Lion, i am unable to take screen shots.  i get the message that i don't have permission to save files to the place where SSs are saved.  how can i regain the ability to save screen shots?  thanks

First of all, are you using the OS native screen capture?
If not, make sure the application you're using has been update for Lion.  I was using Snapz Pro for years, but I need to update it for use with Lion. Meanwhile Grab and the keyboard shortcuts are working on my Lion load.
If you are using the native capture mode unsuccessfully, I would run the Disk Utility and repair permissions on the drive. For some reason, even in past OS Versions, routine maintenance of permissions makes life a lot easier.

I have up until recently been able to work on a image in photoshop cs5 and then save that  psd document in, say Card templates so that I can see go back later and reuse that psd file, but it will not let me save in  cs5 (x86) program files/card templates.  I have always been able to do that until 2 months ago, my photoshop would never up date and I got a new computer and it updated now I can't save in (x86) program files.

  • When I take a screenshot (command, shift, 4), I get an error: "you don't have permission to save files in the location where screenshots are stored". Help!

I used to be able to take screenshots just fine.
Now, when I try to take a screenshot (using command + shift + 4) I get an error stating that my screenshot cannot be saved, because I do not have permission to save where they are stored. HELP!

If not running Lion, please do this:
With the Finder active, press the following key combinations, in this order:
    Shift-Command-H
    Command-3
    Command-I
The Info window for your home folder will open. Click the lock icon to authenticate. In the Sharing & Permissions section, you should have read & write access. If not, make it so. Regardless of whether you made any changes, select "Apply to enclosed items" from the action (gear icon) menu.
    If running Lion, do this:
Boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities > Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A “Reset Password” window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled “Select the user account” if not already selected.
Under “Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs”, click the “Reset” button.
Select Apple menu > Restart from the menu bar.

  • My computer says that I don't have permission to save files were screen shots are stored. What do I do?

Well I am trying to take a screen shot, but whenever I do, it says what the question says... What should I do, for the screen shot to be able to be saved?

    Hallo Linc Davis,
My MacBook Pro (mid 2009) crashed completely night before last.  Was able to take it to the apple store today wherein the Genius diagnosed that the OS (10.8.5) had failed randomly so he uninstalled and reinstalled it.  Since I was up-to-date on my time machine back-up, I just finished backing up the OS with all my data.
However, when I was finishing that process and clicked on the button to open/launch/start up (?) my mac, I got the rainbow pinwheel of death which spun for about 20 sec.  This surprised me because I figured with a Genius diagnosis that my HD was fine and a fresh install of the OS, all should be well as far as basic operation went.
After I closed down all the microsoft office stuff that auto opens when I start, I opened Safari.  I was curious to try streaming a movie on Netflix as I'd had unresolved viewing issues with that before the crash.  I'd hoped that a fresh OS install might've somehow fixed that.  It didn't.  I got a different error message, though, from Netflix instructing me to uninstall, etc.  I wanted to get a screen capture of the message to save for later.  I was able to set up the grab, but instead of asking me where I wanted to save it, I got an error message from my mac telling me I don't have the necessary permission to save it where those images are saved.  Before today, I was always able to save those images.
So, I followed your Go>Go to Folder> ~Library... instructions and was told there was no folder by that name.  I then followed the Applications>Utilities>Disc Utilities>Repair Disc Permissions instructions and still can't save the screen grab.  The list of things needing repair, though, was massive!  They were 'unanticipated' errors, or something like that.  Lots to do with iTunes and languages, including in Dutch.  No idea why.  There may have been other languages, mentioned but the list was so huge I didn't scroll to the bottom.  In any case, I still can't save screen grabs.
       Any ideas?
       Thanks for your help!

  • "You don't have permission to save in this location." Cannot save any files anywhere. All permissions open, all other browsers save OK in same place. Why?

I cannot save any files anywhere. I always get the message "You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like to save in the {} folder instead?"
I have created a clean profile in Profile Manager, and used the Reset Firefox tool. The only way I can save files is to use another browser. IE and Chrome have no problems saving files to the exact same folders.
This seemed to have started with the last update on 10/5/2013.

Maybe something changed in the program shortcut you use to start Firefox. Can you check right-click > Properties > Compatbility tab and make sure nothing is selected there?
''I've never tried this myself, but the forum has a standard set of steps for a "clean reinstall" of Firefox to replace damaged program files. During this process, you are not removing personal settings, but you are removing some shared add-on folders, which would affect Windows Media Player and perhaps other plugins/extensions installed that way.''
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete (or if you're nervous, move or rename) the Firefox program folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox (32-bit)
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox (64-bit)
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
    Does that help?

  • "You don't have permission to save in this location"

I believe I have set myself as administrator.  Administrator appears beneath my name at sign on.  I skipped creating a password as I am the only user. When downloading a file for my canon scaner I got the message "C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon\Cannon Download\tb4135_en.exe.  You don't have permission to save in this location.  Contact the administrator to obtain permission.  Would you like to save in the ..........folder instead? "  I have tried selecting other directories but get the same result.  I successfully downloaded Another program from Canon only minutes before.  How can I instal this file/programe?  Without it my scanner is useless.
I realise that it is not good sense to run permanently as administrator.  Can I set up a separate administrator sign in once I have set up all the programs I lost when installing Win7

    Hi,
You may try the following suggestions one by one to check the issue.
Suggestion 1: Temporarily disable antivirus program.
Suggestion 2: Click Start, All Programs, right click Internet Explorer and click Run as administrator.
Suggestion 3: Click Start, type inetcpl.cpl into Search box and press Enter. Switch to Security tab, uncheck “Enable Protected Mode (requires restarting Internet Explorer)” and click OK.
Suggestion 4: Click the Start Button, type "User account control" and press Enter. When the User account control settings box appears, move the slider to Never notify and click OK.
    What’s the result?

  • Numbers tells me I don't have permission to save document

My wife and I share a macbook air. We are trying to share a Numbers spreadsheet to keep track of things. However Numbers won't let me save my edits to any file she creates and vice versa. The error message is "You don’t have permission to save the file". Autosave also does not work when I'm logged into my account while editing her file. The version of Numbers is 3.2.2 and the OS X is Mavericks 10.9.5.
I'm well-aware of OS X permission restrictions. The file was created in the Shared folder (with sharing privileges enabled) and I've enabled both her account and my account with read & write access to the file in the File Info window. I've also tried reapplying the folder permissions of the Shared folder (by default this is set for read & write access for system, wheel and everyone) to all enclosed items.
Has anyone else had this problem? I would like to be able to share a spreadsheet with my wife using the native Numbers application - not the clunky website iCloud version. It seems this was once the point of computers (and the Shared folder in particular) but maybe I'm mistaken...
    thanks,
    Rich

Unfortunately, the Shared folder is not what it appears to be.  The outer Shared folder has special permissions applied (called the sticky bit) that make sure that only the "owner" of a given file can edit it (others can only read).
I think the easy solution for you is to create a subfolder within the Shared folder.  Call it anything you want like "ReallyShared".  Then, move any existing files from Shared to your subfolder, and have your wife do the same.  It's important that you move these files now and not after the steps below.
Then, do "Get Info" on that folder.  Under Sharing & Permissions, click the "+" under the permissions area, and add both you and your wife's user names to the list.  Then set both of you to "Read & Write".  Then click the "cog" icon, and choose to "apply to enclosed items...".
That should solve your issue for any files that are already in the folder or new files you create in there.  If you ever "move" files into that folder you may need to go back and do the "apply to enclosed items" again.
    Hope this helps.

  • Quicktime Player: You don't have permission to save ...

I am using Quicktime Player to stitch together short .mp4 videos taken on an iPhone or head cam.   When I export the composition although it states it is saving the it, I end up with a message "You don't have permission to save the file "***.mp4v".
I have used Quicktime successfully to stitch together You Tube clips.
    Where am I going wrong?
    Thank you

I have the same issue - when I edited the clip in QuickTime Player.
I removed sections via Split, which seemed to cause the problem.
To solve this, just close the quicktime window. QT will ask if you want to save. Save.
Now re-open the file and do your export - should work fine.
    Well, it did for me.
It appears it's not too hot at exporting an unsaved clip that's been split?

  • Photoshop CS5(64Bit): "You don't have permission to save to this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission."  I am the administrator and I give myself permission. What can I do to save the file?

Photoshop CS5(64Bit): "You don't have permission to save to this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission."  I am the administrator and give myself permission. What can I do to save the file? This is the user's PC, licensed PS CS5 software and Win 7 OS.

Temporarily save to another folder, until you figure it out.
Just because you are the owner and are the sole administrator, does not always guarantee that you have permission. There are several folders that you can not access no matter how hard you try. As for folders in your document folder, it is more likely a basic permission setting that took on permissions of a copied file. Some folders and files are set to a child/parent default setting, meaning the child folder/file (the one you are accessing) has the identical settings of its parent and when the parent changes, so does the child.
You can alter the parent or the child folder/file.
Right click on the folder/file select properties.
    Click on the security tab.
Click on each of the group names and see what permissions are set.
You can then edit a group if necessary.
If it will not allow it, you may need to use the advanced button to create a new copy of the group which should happen when you alter its settings (In other words, you don't have to physically create the copy, it does it for you when you OK the changes)
The administrator should have full access to the folder in the documents folder, if you are listed as an associate of the administrator group your name should also be listed there with full access. The System should also have full access.
All other groups should have reading access only if they exist.

  • You don't have permission to save the file "***" in the folder "Users"

I changed name of Home folder according to this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1428?viewlocale=en_US
Everything was OK, but today I switch on Aperture 3, and when I'm trying to import some pictures, I have this message: 'You don't have permission to save the file "cichy" in the folder "Users".'... "cichy" is previous name of my Home folder. Any solution, how I can fix it?

Thanks for quick answerr. Unfortunately I have OS X 10.8.4 - in article are 10 steps for OS X 10.5 or later, and 43 steops for OS X 10.4.11 and earlier... I didn't do step 28 - should I do the instructions for KeyChain?

Under Windows 7 you cannot save files to system folders such as C:\Program Files. One way to get around the restriction is to temporarily turn off UAC. Click Start, then Help, then look for help on UAC.
