  • Why in the SAP SRM  books inforecord is not a  source of supply in classic

    Hi All
i have read many SAP Press books and materials but no where officially mentioned INFORECORD as source of supply but we could use INFORECORD as source of supply in the classic. Why SAP did not agree inforecord is a valid source of supply in any of the officical books. What could have stopped to write this point.Dfinetly some good meaning is there. Why SAP SRM definitions are missing.

    Hi Muthu,
It's a good question. Indeed, I also couldn't find any documentation in the SAPhelp about the inforecord.
We call the backend system in the plugin function B46B_SOURCEDETER_GETSOS_MULTI at the line:

In Solution Manager I have the same problem, what products shoul I select to create this system in SMSY?
This JAVA system is not in the same network so I don't know how to synchronize system data.
    Best regards,

  • SRM Sourcing vs SAP Sourcing vs EBP SUS

    Hi All
Can anyone help me in differentiating SRM Sourcing vs SAP Sourcing vs EBP SUS, which one is superior is it SAP Sourcing or EBP SUS
I would want to know the difference between SRM Sourcing vs SAP Sourcing vs EBP SUS
    Regards
    James

    Hi James,
I'm not sure what kind of differences you want to know about these 3, i.e. maybe from technical point of view.
    As far as I know:
Sourcing is an important part of SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) as a procurement system. SRM could be integrated with ERP system and plays a role of sourcing system.
It provides Strategic purchasing, including strategic sourcing and contract management, as well as operational sourcing.
SAP Sourcing: It was acquired from Frictionless, and was originally called E-Sourcing, then was renamed to SAP Sourcing in 2010, which contains mainly strategic sourcing and contract lifecycle management. It could be considered as a complement of SRM.
Both SRM and SAP Sourcing, and ERP could be integrated together.
I'm not quite sure of what you mean by "EBP SUS'. We do have a scenario called EBP-SUS, which means connecting SRM system with SUS (Supplier self service system). SRM PO could be sent to SUS system, in which supplier could perform the follow-on procurement process, i.e. PO response, ASN, GR, and invoice with SRM. I would not call it a sourcing process.
And I would not say which one is superior. Basically you need to choose according to the customer's business requirement.
    Best regards.

I have NW 7.3 based EP system. Can that be used for Java or Do I need to install another stand alone Java ?
    If it can be used:
    - Will it not create problems b'coz portal is on 7.3 and SRM is based on 7.02
    - are there any SRM Java specific components in this installation object or is it a plain NW 7.02 Java stack ?
    4) What is SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1 Components in terms of functionality given?

  • How to  Populate Values from ECC  to SAP SRM

    Hi Freinds,
we have  two custom fields in Purchase Requisation  ( ECC ), my requirement is to  same fields i want to create in SC Item Tab, i have included in tem Tab, but now i want to populate the values from ECC  to SRM, can any give me idea how to do this
    Thanks
    Kumar Srini

    Hi,
You need to create two custom fields in the shopping cart corresponding to the two fields in purchase requisition.
After that, you need to map the two fields in ECC to SAP SRM. In srm spro settings, you can find the mapping options.

  • Passing data from one screen to another(web-dynpro) in SRM sourcing cockpit

    HI Experts,
i am facing problem in passing data from one web-dynpro screen and assigning the data it to another web-dynpro screen.
my requirement is that when ever user selects a contract in PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY screen popup and press only assign only button, the data of the contract should be copied to the shopping cart.
i have already used the BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, but unfortunately it was not working.
so i tried to use the context, element and other web-dynpro fields to pass the data, i am able to pass the data from the popup to the second screen and able to assign it.
but when ever i deselect the shoppping cart which has been assigned with the data of the popup and select another shopping cart the data of the above shopping cart is cgetting changed.
i am unable to figure out the exact reason why this is happeing.i have written code in the ASSIGN ONLY button method to fetch the popup data and in the WDONMODIFYVIEW method of the second screen to assign the popup data to the shopping cart.
i have tried to bind the elements using the BIND_TABLE, BIND_STRUCTURE, BIND_ELEMENT, BIND_ELEMENTS methods, but nothing is working.
can anyone suggest me where i am making mistake and try to solve the issue.
    Thanks

  • PR to SRM Sourcing Cockpit Issue

In ECC, the ME_SOU* BADI is implemented to activate sending PR of type RV to go to SRM Sourcing Cockpit.
The necessary Workflow Event Linkages are activated in ECC to send the PR to SRM.
When the PR is released, it does not trigger the event to call the workflow. The event trace SWELS at the time of releasing the PR does not show any events triggered.
Any thoughts here to resolve this issue?
    Thanks

    Hi Kasee,
If you are going to transfer ECC PR to SRM via SOA, the following steps should be configured well in ECC side:
    1, LOG_MM_P2PSE_1 should be activated via trx SFW5 in ECC side;
    2, implement BADI ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST;
3, go to trx SWETYPV and check if the following objects are existing:
    BUS2015 RFXREQUESTED
    BUS2105   SOURCINGREQUESTED
    4,activate outbound message as below:
    (ERP) Transaction SPRO -> Other mySAP.com components->Supplier Relationship Management->
Message Control-->Activate outbound messages through qRFC
    BUS2015 RFXREQUESTED
    BUS2105   SOURCINGREQUESTED
5, configure RFC destination for workflow system
6,configure RFC destination for SAP XI
    7, create SU01 XI user
8, trx olme: Portal  >Set Up Landscape
9, trx smqr: MMPURS_BUS2105_* should be registered.
XML message should be triggered after this.

  • SRM 5.5 as an add-on on ECC 6.0 vs SAP SRM 5.5 server

    Hi
Are  there any limitations if we go with SAP SRM 5.5 Server as an add-on on ECC 6.0 compared to Implementation of SAP SRM 5.5 server on its own.
FYI-We just have one ERP Back-end system.
BTW, what is the difference between SAP SRM server 5.5 vs SAP SRM server 5.5 Plus.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anji

    Hi
    Summary:
You can use classic scenario in Add-on.
You can use self-service procurement and SUS in Add-on.
You cannot have Sourcing and other scenarios.
No migration from Add-on to Separate server available.
    Best regards

  • Advantage of using SAP SRM

    Hi,
Could any one please explain the advantages of using SAP SRM over MM module. As per me we can de most of the activities in MM except some vendor related activities (and that even if SUS is used).
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Lalit

    Hi Lalit,
All advantages of using SRM and MM module is in Plan-Driven Procurement documentation on service.sap.com/instguides -> SRM.
Generally planning in APO or MRP in an ERP system calculates the quantity and materials required. This requirement can be transffered to the EBP system. Requisitions from SAP Plant Maintanance or Project System are also possible requirements.
The requisitions are passed to EBP. If the data is complete and unique, purchase orders can be created automatically. If the data is missing, the proffesional purchaser has to complete the missing information in Sourcing or via Process Purchase Orders. An option for the professional buyer is to assign un-sourced PO to an RFQ and send it out for bids.
The proffesional purchaser completes the orders, assings source of supply, add or deletes item.
Once the order is complete it is issued automatically to R/3. XML is the upcoming medium, since the data can be automatically integrated in more and more supplier's systes, or You can send orders by e-mail, fax or print them.
Goods receipt is either done in EBP by supplier via an XML confirmation, by employee who requested the item by general goods recipient or in the backend system. Inventory is updated in backend.
The invoice is processed in EBP manually by the requestor or an accountant submitted by the supplier via an XML invoice, possibly from SUS or backend system.
You can also look in Self-Service Procurement documentation on:
