Persian language for Nokia 220

Hi. I updated my Nokia 220 dual sim but I lost my Persian language. What shall I do? Please help me ASAP

Because I am an end-user like you, I cannot look into the firmware files and judge whether this is a bug or intended. Hopefully, a Nokia employee sees this thread and double-check this Product Code. Anyway, your phone was designated for Lebanon. Your retailer might have flashed it over to the code 059V1Z1 which indicates a Nokia 220 designated for Iran. Therefore, I would ask my retailer if he did anything special.
By the way, did you consider to go for a Nokia 208 or Nokia 301? Those phones are not based on the operating system Nokia Series 30+ (MediaTek) but Nokia Series 40 – apps, more Bluetooth, more tools. For these, a firmware variant exists for Iran including Farsi, as well.

Search the app store for a Persian keyboard which may be useful for some purposes.  Try the Keyman app.

  • Additional language for Nokia N73

Hi, i am an italian actually in Saudi Arabia for work.
The company gave to me a new Nokia N73 bought locally.
The only languages available are arabic, french, english german and spanish.
The major problem is when i have to write sms in italian.
I have to write by single letters only because T9 is proposing english words and of course is not what i want to write.
I wonder if there is the possibility to add also italian.
    thanks for any suggestion

  • Languages for Nokia N95-3

How can I add the language(s) of my choice to my Nokia N95-3?

In a sense, you can't. Firmware versions are created for specific language combinations, and individual languages are not separately available.
Then, for device intended for specific regions, only languages for those regions may be available in any firmware. E.g., for the North American version N95-3, I suspect there's only firmware with English (US), French (Canadian) and Spanish, for example (I don't have an N95-3 so I can't check).
If Nokia is never going to sell it in, say, Bulgaria then a firmware with Bulgarian would never be made.

  • Chinese Language for Nokia 5800 Express Music

I have recently updated my nokia software version from V21.0.025 to V31.0.101 using the nokia software updater. However i notice that my Chinese, Malay & Indonesia languages have all dissapeared.
    Can anybody help me please.

Looks like you bought a phone that was meant for another region and the language pack containing Chinese was installed afterwards by the retailer. The retailer should have told you this. When you updated the firmware, the phone reverted back to its original language set. Worst of all, the warranty may not be valid in your country.
Anyway, language packs can only be installed by Nokia Care Points and you will lose it again the next time you update your firmware.

  • Request for adding Sindhi Language for Nokia Mobil...

I am Creative Graphic Designer and have pointed out many omitted features for Adobe’s products like InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, I have remained on top position in top ten participants of Features’ forum page in 2011 now am on second position by suggesting Adobe Abro Calligrapher which was missing.
It is highly commendable that your prestigious institute of Nokia is occupying a top level in the field of Mobile system. I have an advice, which if accepted, will certainly promote the dignity of your linkage world.
In our country Pakistan two languages viz Urdu and Sindhi are spoken which have its own alphabets. Sindhi is very old language of the world as its civilization. Sindhi language is very rich having great numbers of letters with the result anyone can pronounce any word of an other language of the world with right accent easily. Its letters are similar to Arabic language with slight difference of additional letters. If the letters / alphabet of Sindhi language are added / introduced in coming software of Nokia Mobiles, it will be great achievement of your institute on one hand and vast familiarity among mobile users, on the other.
I have also tried to get the same result for future software of Microsoft and Adobe to promote and facilitate the user’s interest.
I expect positive returns from your end.
    Thanks

    hi mate,
if you are referring to the Lumia line of Nokia phones, then you will need to leave feedback with Microsoft as it is up to them, not Nokia, to add language support: http://windowsphone.uservoice.com

  • Arabic Language for Nokia 808 PureView US version

    Hi guys,
I got my new Nokia 808 PureView (US version) from amazon.com. I want to add Arabic language to it. Is there any way to do it?
    Thanks,

Yes there is. You will need to visit your local Nokia Care point and they will add the Arabic language pack to your phone. Be advised that the language pack will be removed in the event that you update the phone or perform a full factory reset.
Only Nokia Care can add the language packs because there is special software needed which only they legally possess.

  • Greek Language for Nokia 3100

I have a Nokia 3100B and wanted to add Greek Language. Please drive me how to do so.
    Thanks a lot

it is not possible to do that. every region has specific language packs installed on the phone. there is no way to just add another language to the device.
You know what I love about you the most, the fact that you are not me ! In love with technology and all that it can offer. Join me in discovery....

  • Installing languages for 701.

    Solved!

Yes, to one of those that are already included with the firmware variant you have.
Nokia does not have any support for user-installable "language packs", nor do they - like Apple - include support for every language on every device.
Only way to get a new/different language is to have the phone updated with a firmware version for another country/region, which Nokia does not support for phone users to do themselves.
Note also, that not all language combinations are available, but a finite set of combinations that Nokia considers they need to sell the model in given countries/regions.

  • For Persian Language show wrong (generated by Oracle Report Server)

    Hi,
When Oracle Report Server (10.1.2) Generate PDF output show persian characters wrong.
    persian language(Use in Iran , Azarbayjan , Tajikestan ,... ) has 4 characters more than Arabic (cp1256) . this 4 characters is (پ  ,ژ,گ,ج) .
when come (this characters ) in duration word appear a space  between word.
for example word is پشتو But show in PDF پ شتو .
in HTML format we don't has this problem only accrue in PDF output .
    This Persian characters :
    U 067E PEH
    U 0686 TCHEH
    U 0698 JEH
    U 06A9 KEHEH
then now i dont know this problem related to Oracle report server or Acrobat Reader viewer ?
when we copy پ شتو of Arcobat reader and paste to windows notepad show correctly (پشتو ).
i think this is relare to /Encoding /WinAnsiEncoding insite pdf file becouse :

encoding. This is the standard Windows encoding for Latin text in
    western European languages.

  • Indian languages support for Nokia 701

How to read different Indian languages in Nokia 701, egg like Hindi or Malayalam etc. Especially in Social or other multimedia's. Now it comes as boxes. Do we need to download any software application from nokia or third party.

Feature phones like Nokia 2700, C3 00 etc can show all Indian languages including Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, etc even though with no support for typing all languages.
Nokia 701 being a smartphone, when it was released was not supporting even Hindi language, later after software update phone supported Hindi.
It would be better to support all India languages like as feature phones does. It is cool to read news websites in our native language.
Please provide this feature in fp2.

  • Firmware upgrade for Nokia 6280

I would like to know do we have firmware upgrade for Nokia 6280 as my present one is 3.65 and would like to upgrade it to 5.92 and I am in India
Could you please help me out.

updating to new firmware depends on product code which represents your region of purchasing, language pack and if it's branded or not .... so NOKIA releases firmwares and release it for every product code depending on mentioned points
you can check for updates @ :
    http://mea.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update
To find what the latest available device software is, you’ll need your device’s product code. The code is printed on the white label beneath the battery (e.g. CODE: 0520001).
if your phone is branded with an operator, that means that you should go to the operator care center and ask them, not NOKIA
some updates delay in some countries variant product code, as it requires more effort to add language pack to it like "example. China Japan Korea" or it needs the country to approve it due to its policy

  • Nokia 220 (Nokia OS)

    Hi guys ,
I finally got my hands on a Nokia 220 (which makes a good add-on to the rest of my Nokia collection). Although I do like the phone, I came accross some strange features, first of all, I noticed that I can add more then just one phonenumber to a contact stored in the phones main memory (I mean, my old Nokia 1280 can handle even more then that), secondly, what is up with this Y! Messenger (no offence to those who use it), I though Nokia is now from Microsoft, how come this Y! Messenger is installed on to it, why not, Facebook Chat, Line or Whatsapp and speaking of the last, there is also no Store app on the phone. OK, it is a cheap feature phone, I get that, but even downloading anything for it is impossible. Please Nokia team, explain this to me? Why come with a phone on the market which is awesome like any Nokia has been (hardware wise) but has nothing to offer, software wise? The "old" Nokia Asha 206 is equal, yet has more to offer. One more thing, I manage to finally get my hands on a Nokia X, now.. I have some Lumias and all, but the Nokia X is awesome, it's so darn fast and the battery really is awesome. Now, that is what i call a real Nokia (and yes, more then enough apps for the X). But please. I moved from The Netherlands to Singapore, OMG, what a mess is it here with mobile phones, iPhone and Smasung Galaxy's rule the nation. Nokia, if you want to make some more ground here, come out with the phones SOONNNEEERRRRR, the better :-D
    With warm regards,

The Nokia 220 runs on Nokia OS (Series 30) which is obviously designated to be part of the "next-billion" project. This is a feature phone that is packed with functions enough for those who are having their first internet capable phone. For those who already own a high-end smartphone, this can serve as their secondary phone. Nothing fancy, but still functional.
If you want more of apps, Nokia made the X's and Lumia's for that.
