  • Wiki for Persian language

    Hi there
one year ago I request to open a section for Persian language (RTL) on wiki but you told me to go over archlinux.ir. there was a discussion  about it in archlinux.ir but had no result.
After that I start to write about beginners guide and now it's a very complete reference in Persian for users and wanna import it in to arch wiki
Could anybody help me to open this section (I mean a Persian section with RTL support in archlinux.org wiki)?
This is my Arch Book under GFDL
    http://wiki.linuxreview.ir/ArchBook
    Thanks a lot.

    Thanks for reply
So I want to translate this article
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Deltup
    2 way
    1- I have to create a page name https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Deltup(Persian)
2- some one that have access could add the Persian on the top of the article to be accessible by other Persian users who do not know the address (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Deltup(Persian))
    Which way is better?

  • For Persian Language show wrong (generated by Oracle Report Server)

    Hi,
When Oracle Report Server (10.1.2) Generate PDF output show persian characters wrong.
    persian language(Use in Iran , Azarbayjan , Tajikestan ,... ) has 4 characters more than Arabic (cp1256) . this 4 characters is (پ  ,ژ,گ,ج) .
when come (this characters ) in duration word appear a space  between word.
for example word is پشتو But show in PDF پ شتو .
in HTML format we don't has this problem only accrue in PDF output .
    This Persian characters :
    U 067E PEH
    U 0686 TCHEH
    U 0698 JEH
    U 06A9 KEHEH
then now i dont know this problem related to Oracle report server or Acrobat Reader viewer ?
when we copy پ شتو of Arcobat reader and paste to windows notepad show correctly (پشتو ).
i think this is relare to /Encoding /WinAnsiEncoding insite pdf file becouse :
Windows code page 1252(Arabic encoding) but Persian is 1256 , often called the “Windows ANSI”
encoding. This is the standard Windows encoding for Latin text in
    western European languages.
Please help me how i can solve this problem ASAP.
    Regards

    Hello,
You should not try to mix JSP and JSF EL prior to JSF 1.2 and JSP 2.1, the result is inconsistent most of the time.
To fix your current issue though, I suggest you use the rendered attribute instead of a <c:if>, so would be:
    <h:outputText styleClass="texto_red"
    value="#{bean.genericErrorMessages}"
    id="applicationErrorMessages" escape="false" rendered="#{!empty bean.genericErrorMessages}"/>Regards,

  • Acrobat 6.0.6: Foreign language not supported?

I am running on Window Vista (but the same problem applies to Win 2K+SP4 and XP+SP2).
I try to insert text in a Text Box Tool. I select the desired language (a Middle Eastern language) through the OS. But when I type, I see primarily small vertical rectangles and other garbage.
The Acrobat's help document explicitly says that those languages are supported.
Also, I have no problem applying those languages when using other editing applications such as Word, etc.
So are they or aren't those languages supported by Acrobat? And if it is supported, how exactly can it be accomplished?
    Thanks in advance,
    David

you may have to make sure you choose a font for the box which includes
    those characters.

I've seen this issue be raised in the past for another language. The advice then was to try copying the fonts in "C:\Program Files\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\fonts" to "<JAVA_HOME>/jre/lib/fonts"
(Thanks to Kevin W -- I copied this advice from him! :) )

  • Persian language for Nokia 220

Hi. I updated my Nokia 220 dual sim but I lost my Persian language. What shall I do? Please help me ASAP

Because I am an end-user like you, I cannot look into the firmware files and judge whether this is a bug or intended. Hopefully, a Nokia employee sees this thread and double-check this Product Code. Anyway, your phone was designated for Lebanon. Your retailer might have flashed it over to the code 059V1Z1 which indicates a Nokia 220 designated for Iran. Therefore, I would ask my retailer if he did anything special.
By the way, did you consider to go for a Nokia 208 or Nokia 301? Those phones are not based on the operating system Nokia Series 30+ (MediaTek) but Nokia Series 40 – apps, more Bluetooth, more tools. For these, a firmware variant exists for Iran including Farsi, as well.

  • I just bought a pager program this morning but it does not properly write in persian language

I can write proper texts in persian language on this page but not on the "pages program" that I bought today

Pages and other iWork apps have bugs that make them unsuitable for Persian for most purposes.  The best app to use is Mellel, but TextEdit, Nisus Writer, and OpenOffice should also work OK.

But I'm good at translate English to Persian

The web master of the Persian Arch Linux website http://archlinux.ir/ recently contacted us with a similar request. Are you working together?
    As I said to him:
    pointone wrote:
Note that we are moving away from a single international wiki.archlinux.org. See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=95360 for details. Please
consider hosting a fully-internationalized wiki at http://wiki.archlinux.ir/ instead. This will allow you to keep the user interface, system messages, templates, etc. in Farsi, and generally simplifies maintenance in the long run.
If this is not a viable option, please read Help:i18n and Help:Editing and begin translating articles. We will add an appropriate i18n language link once pages exist.
See the Hebrew pages (e.g. Main Page (עברית)) for right-to-left examples. You must use:
    <div style="direction: rtl;">
    within the wikitext.

  • Multi Language pack Support

    Hi All,
I have an application that displays some information in various languages (according to the language selected), i.e english, french, german etc. Say I select english, the application will display "Hello World" in English language and so on for other languages
To achieve this functionality,I have integrated my application with SIM 7.0. please guide me how SIM will help in displaying the page as per the language selected.
i have copied the jar files of french, german to lib folder of idm. Also i have created the links for these languages at login page of SIM.
Please tell how to do it for my application page through SIM workflow.
    Thanks alot

You can not not install ISE CUE software on UC500, but only UC500 specific CUE software.
And, (I don't know if that is the case), if the language you need is supported on CUE for ISR but not on UC500 CUE, there is no solution, and you can only complain to Cisco for not having delivered the languages they had publicily promised to the public.
Furthemore to that, it apperas there is a bug in 8.6.3 that makes so mailbox caller guide is played with default system language instead of user setting langiage.

In addition, they would also like confirmation that we can provide local support in Polish for these application families.
