Persistent "failed to sync" error on CC

In both the PCs I've installed CC, I am getting almost always the "failed to sync" error, with a "due to server error" detail.
This is going on for weeks. Probably since I started using the creative cloud files folder. It happens with any kind of files, even with regular jpegs, and there are no problems like illegal characters or very large sizes.
Both PCs are Win 7 x64. Other cloud services are working just fine (Dropbox, GDrive).

I've been having the same problem for large files.  'Chat'd' with someone from Adobe today and all they could do is show me articles on line that I had already read.  Extremely frustrating.

  • Ipod sync error - error -48

connected my ipod to a powerbook G4 (usb 1.1) and tried to synch my ipod
it displayed the error message "failed to sync error -48"
Is it a USB issue or a sync issue (i.e. application issue??)

Early last week, I did spend a whole day to fix up my 3rd Gen iPod. I had tried every different way, and occasionally, it came up with the same error -48 message.
It seems that it was not a software nor hardware problems, but just an iPod itself.
The way I did was - to format the iPod with a PC, once it has been completed reconnect it back with your Mac
    For Window computer
    Go to folder “My Computer”
Hope you can see your iPod there and right click on the iPod
Choose “Format”. Ensure the settings are at “Default” and that “Quick Format” is not checked
    Now select “Format”
Eject your iPod and do a Reset
Open the iTunes 7 and click “Restore”

Hi I had to recover my SCCM media server from SQL and now having trouble to install Windows Update. When I deploy Windows Update, I can see status is "UKNOWEN".
I feel like something to do with WSUS/SQL/SCCM media server syncing issue.. But I can't point out that trouble setting to fix it. I have checked and make sure, there is no proxy setting in IE and SUP.
In the wsyscmgr.log is saying it is having syncing issue.

    1. Unselect all Classisfications in SUP
    2. Run wsusutil reset
    3. Run another sync
    4. Add Classifications

  • ITunes failing to sync, and error message 1621

A few days ago, my iTunes, upon noticing my iPod touch plugged in, reported that it had failed to sync do to a "dataclass error". The message said something along the lines of "iTunes was unable to load from dataclass services. try reconnecting." I did just that, unplugging the iPod and plugging it back in. This time, iTunes again failed to sync, saying that it was entirely incapable of interacting with the iPod, suggesting that I restore the thing. Though frustrated, I did that. 2 hours later, the iPod was fully synced from back up, and the problem was seemingly solved.
But now it just happened again, only worse. After telling me to try restoring, and after 5 minutes of iTunes trying to restore the iPod, it finally reported that it was unable to, reporting an "error message 1621, unkown error occured, unable to restore iPod." So, now I can't sync my iPod. Not only is iTunes currently unable to interact with it, it can no longer restore it either.
What's going on? Also, if it helps, this didn't start occuring until after I installed the 2.0 update. I have iTunes v7.7.1.11, and my iPod touch is updated to version 2.02.

i am having the same problem as well. anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?
    thanks, ff

I'm having this problem since few releases ago, whenever I start FF, it always fails to sync, showing this line on the bottom "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Incorrect account name or password. Sync will automatically retry this action". First thought that the prob was incorrect credentials, but I can freely log-in https://account.services.mozilla.com I tried unlinking and linking my device again, it still happens.

I am having this problem with FF 19.0.2 on Win 7 Pro. The sequence of events is:
    1. Start Firefox. Get the error bar about incorrect account name or password EVERY time. I close the bar. If I wait a while and then ask FF to try again the error bar reappears.
    2. Click on preferences from the bar, and get a dialog "Your password was rejected by the server, please update your password." I click "update" and then am prompted for the master password for the security device. I enter that and am presented with an "update password" dialog.
    3. Enter my old password and click "update password." Receive error message "Password incorrect, please try again." I click update again and get the message "Your password has been changed."
    4. However now Sync no longer seems to be set up. I go through the setup ritual again, and find I am back where I started.
I have cleared cookies, tried everything in safe mode, and unlinked and relinked the computer. I have verified I have the right password entered at [https://account.services.mozilla.com/ https://account.services.mozilla.com/] None of this helped. The problem is still there, even in safe mode.

This raises two questions. First, the UI does not shows exactly what happened. This kind of issues with upgrades on the sync platform should be expected.
Second, this shows that a regular user shouldn't be using sync with different Firefox versions. This is quite usual, I think (a more stable version on work and newer version on home) and should be expected.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Even I had similar issue however it got resolved by itself, so it could be something to do with external to CM12 as Umair mentioned. • Error syncing Outlook calendars : "sync server failed to sync the phone"; bad Outlook entries?

I just started having problems syncing my calendars from Outlook 2007/WinXP to my iPhone via iTunes, getting the "cannot sync" error. I tried following all the advice elsewhere on these boards -- deleting my backups and resetting sync history, using a different cable/USB port, etc., but nothing helped. I'm strongly averse to doing a backup/recovery unless I absolutely positively know it will fix it, and right now, I doubt that it will.
I looked in the sync log files, and found this:
    [2828 @ Wed Jul 06 15:08:27 2011] [_ISDVLog AppleMobileSync.exe] While filtering - Some ids (<CFArray 0254F1B8 [00BC5078]>{type = immutable, count = 15, values = (
        0 : E8034F72-29A8-7448-8CDE-343B4F9B8420
        1 : 91D1F339-ADF7-064D-9BF4-1634B516832B
        14 : 37C931FA-1102-F44D-B670-4E118229A8B9
)}) to filter were not found in the truth! There must be a reference to a non-existent record
So I suspect the problem lies here, and that it's complaining that some calendar records are somehow corrupt or otherwise problematic for the sync engine. However, I'm at a loss to figure out which items these are, or how to even narrow it down to a specific calendar -- it doesn't matter if I uncheck all of the calendars but one, I still get it no matter what, making me think it could be in a calendar I am explicitly NOT trying to sync.
Or...given that the problem happens if I unselect all my individual calendars (the "Sync Calendars with..." remains checked), could the problem be corrupt records on the phone? I haven't tried removing the calendars entirely on the phone and replacing them, although that may be my next step, but if the sync continues to fail, I'll have NO calendar data (instead of just out-of-date data), which is far worse.
Am I on the right track here?

Well, the answer is that I was on the right track with the second suggestion. The problem seems to have been corrupt records on the phone itself. I checked the option to replace all calendar information on the next sync, then synced a second time, and everything restored fine. (Minus the calendar colors that I had arranged just so, but that's fixable with lots of re-syncing and patience.)

  • Failed to sync update. Error The Microsoft Software License Terms have not been completely downloaded and cannot be accepted.

SCCM 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012.  The SUP is unable to sync updates and the wsyncmgr.log shows "Failed to sync update <guid>.  Error: The Microsoft Software License Terms have not been completely downloaded and cannot be accepted.
Source: Microsoft.UpdateServices.Internal.BaseApi.SoapExceptionProcessor.DeserializeAndThrow."  I've seen several posts about this all over the web, but every one of those references a proxy server issue.  We do not have a proxy server,
so those solutions don't apply.  Has anyone seen or resolved this issue when a proxy server is not involved?

The event log showed that WSUS was trying to store updates in an old location.  I apparently had not configured WSUS properly after I moved the directory.  Running "wsusutil movecontent" and restarting the SQL Server instance for the remote DB
    fixed the problem.

  • Error - Sync Calncelled. Failed to sync the follow...

Hi All, I am using Ovi Suite 2.0.1.35 & cant seem to get it to sync my calendar or notes from MS outlook 2007.
Contacts are fine....I have checked all the settings within ovi & everything seems okay...
    Any hints or guidance.

    Hi,
I have the same problem with my phone (E72-2), it syncs everything but the calendar.
Also I saw repeated calendar events, specifically birthday events (up to 3 times) 2 of the events would show the birthday icon on the phone  and the other repeated event I can see it on the right pane, but when I access the day view I can only see the 2 events with the little candle icon, so I can’t erase the one with out the candle icon.
I decided to erase the events on my outlook , and when I tried to sync my phone it showed this message:
“failed to sync the following content types: calendar”
I tried to sync several times through Bluetooth and cable but neither of them worked.

  • Issue with sync error: Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action.

Hi, i have just recently started having an issue with Sync on my desktop. My associated Android and Mac Laptop do not experience any issues when attempting to sync, but the desktop constantly gives the same error. I have tried unpairing the desktop, clearing all files, restarting and then adding the desktop to sync once again, but the error persists.
All of the bookmarks on the desktop have vanished, but are still in my sync data and have no problems being viewed on the other paired devices. This also tells me that the issue isn't the sync server and is something unique to the desktop machine.
I am hoping that this won't require a reinstall, but if all else fails, it is an option. I will try to attach a log file once i have submitted the question.

I agree. Too many issues lately with sync errors and flash crashes. I'm going back to Google Chrome for a few months. Don't have time to be bothered with the nonsense and slow fixes.
