Persistent shadow on Illustrator Interface will not go away.
I am on Win 7, 64-bit, 20 gb RAM. Using CS 6 (Cloud).
I have this strange shadow that looks like a pop-out menu once occupied that space, on my interface background.
It will not go away permanently.
Everyday when I first start Illustrator, I have to go to Preferences==>User Interface and change the background color.
That makes it go away temporarily. But when I restart, it comes right back.
This is SUPER annoying. Anyone have any ideas?
No, that was not the case, the photo was cropped, here is the full photo. Additionally, it shows over the artwork, as shown .

Adobe Illustrator CS6 will not open.
I have a problem: the illustrator app will not open. I get the pop-up: To open "Adobe Illustrator CS6" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime. Click "More Info..." to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website.
Both clicking "More Info..." and "OK" only make the pop-up disappear, but lead absolutely nowhere.
From Oracle.com I have already downloaded and installed 'jre-8u25-macosx-x64.dmg'. After install and restart i keep getting the same pop-up as before and i still can't open Ai. Any advice?

I updated from mavericks to Yosemite today which was a very bad idea. I had issues with my internal sound adapter and the system start is now very slow. I might going back to mavericks..
However, I wish the above link you gave here would work. After clicking the blue download button nothing happens. Any other idea how I could go back from my actual java 8-31 back to java 6?

Adobe Illustrator Draw will not export to desktop Illustrator with the photo layer turned on. This severely strains my workflow and makes it incredibly hard to add the image after it is exported to the desktop Illustrator. Is this being fixed??
This is a new bug in our latest release, and we apologize for not catching it before it went out. We are putting together a patch to address the issue. The only workaround at this point is to delete the photo and then send to Illustrator again.

I recently purchased a new pc and it comes with Windows7 Operating System.
I have Adobe Illustrator 10.03 and it worked perfectly with Windows XP my earlier operating system.
I also recently purchased Adobe Acrobat 9 PRO and I'm hping this is not causing my Illustrator to not work.
Now that I have an updated operating system, Windows 7, my Illustrator 10.3 does not open whn I clic on it.
Instead the Illustrator screen appears or a few seconds and then disappears. I've tried to repair and modify but still no luck.
Anyone know why my Illustrator application will not work?

It could very well be a preference corruption.
You may try to Move the folder with Illustrator closed (click Move the folder when you have followed the link).
This is a reversible way of resetting the preferences to the defaults; they are not reset when you uninstall and reinstall. -

Unless it has worked since the upgrading, I believe you should uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

Midi usb interface will not work after installing os x mavericks
Installed os x mavericks and now my tascam us-144 mkll midi interface will not work and driver will not install . I plug the interface in to another computer and it works fine so i know its not the interface or cable . It worked fine before i upgraded to os x mavericks , any ideas ?
Ya , went on tascam website and found out none of there us drivers are compatible with mavericks . They say there working on a fix .... thanks for a respnse though

If you are on MAC 10.7 or 10.8. Try the following steps:
Step 1. Download Apple Java 2013-002 for OS X 10.7 and 10.8 from location: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/39490/apple-java
Step 2. Install this JAVA version using the DMG file.

I have replied to you three times now without reply. I DID NOT authorise a payment of £9.99 for NowTV. What is the solution to getting my money refunded. I think you assume I will go away after being Ignored. No I will not go away. I find now that you have DISABLED MY APPLE ID. Is this a punishment you use to anyone who takes up a stand against charges being made unauthorised on their account?. Please tell me why you have disabled my account. When will my account be restored? If not when will you refund ALL my purchases made to APPLE/ITUNES? I can then move on to another brand and hopefully better customer service. I have a dialogue box that will not go away and it seems to have started when I upgraded to Mt. Lion. the box says, "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java 6 SE runtime. Would you like to check for and install one? (smaller print) Note: Usw of this software is subject to the Software License Agreement applicable to the software you are downloading. Finally there are two boxes to click. One says not now. If I click on that the box goes away for 2 to 3 seconds and then pops back up and WILL NOT go away. If I click on the second box, Install, it says The software is currently unavailable. To install a Java SE 6 runtime later, open Java Application again.
My confusion here is that I have no idea what the java application is, When I click "okay" on that box, the original box pops us again and WILL NOT go away. CGoing to the apple lega web site was no help. My solution so far has been to drag the dialogue box as far to the lower right and out of the way as far as I can. Help.Does this happen immediately after you log in? If so, one of your login items is probably causing it.

I recently changed my Apple ID but it did not transfer over to my iCloud account. How do I change my iCloud ID? The password for the new Apple ID does not work since the iCloud default user name is imbedded in the login box. The login popup for iCloud will not go away so I cannot get into my iPad since it pops up as soon as I turn the device on and re-occurs every few seconds.
You have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPad on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Mail Account directory Will NOT go away!
A long time ago I set up an account for my friend to use on my web server and on my local computer (osx mail app). It's long since been deleted from Mail>preferences and on the server side.
But, in the directory, users:(user-x):Library:Mail:V2:
The old account keeps generating a directory that looks like this [email protected] (the mail server IP).
This will populate with the default mailboxes like in-box, junk, trash, etc.
you can trash it and it comes back as soon as the mail app checks for mail.
How can this be if it is a deleted account on the local computer and the user has been deleted from the server side?

Turn your phone off...then call your mobile phone number from another phone and leave a message. Turn the phone on and then go to your voicemail and listen to the message. Listen and then delete it; then press the appropriate key to disconnect from voicemail, don't just hang up. That should clear the "voicemail" icon, if not, turn the phone off and then back on. -

You can force quit by holding the power button down for extended period.
During boot up hold down the Option key and choose your Macintosh HD OSX.
In >System Preferences> Startup Disk>choose your internal OSX System as Default.
