Person assignment to org unit

Dear friends,
I am running CAT4 report for approving time for a specific organization e.g.326760.
when I select this org and run the report, runtime error 'Message type X' occurs. Message is Internal error occurred, Message no: LR030.
This org contains around 55 persons and I found that only for one person, this error is coming. if I run the CAT4 excluding this person, report is working fine and time is getting approved.
If i select this person only and run the report, i am getting this error. so this person has some problem. I also checked PA20 but not found any abnormal.
Is there any way by which we can remove this inconsistency. I am facing 2/3 problems where for a single person in the organization, errors are coming.
Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

try to copy some data of the other employees then if this works it means the problem is the data inside pa30 you just need to set standard data's to test. 1- if the problem is with the content or if the problem is with the number range.

But, i do not want to delete and then assign.
I just want to mimic the Drag & Drop option available in PPOMA_BBP.
In the background system is using a FM "OM_CREATE_NEW_RELATIONS". I am trying to use this FM in similar way . But, it is not moving the CP and Position.

Assignment of org units from feeder system to Legal units

Hi All,
in GTS system , IMG, assignment of legal units having two options are available.
1,Assign plant at feeder system level/ feeder system group level
2, Assign combination of plant and storage location at feeder system level/ feeder system group level
as assigning the org units we need to assign the option 1 and option 2 or do we need to assign the any one from the above two options.
can you please give some inputs which is the best assignment.

Hi Sriman,
In SAP GTS, a Feeder system plant or a plant and Storage location combination can either be assigned to a GTS Legal Unit.
In this case, you can either assign a single plant ( or Plants) to a Legal Unit to complete the Organisational Mapping or you can also assign a combination of plant and Storage location ( of a group of plant and respective storage locations) to a GTS Legal Unit if storage location is of further significance while interacting with the SAP GTS System,

Inheritance of a role assigned to Org Unit

Dear Experts,
Im facing the following issue: via TA PFCG i assign roles to orgunits which works fine. But once i create a new orgunit with a position and a person underneath the existing orgunit, i doesnt inherit the assigned role of the orgunit above. The same problem occurs while assigning a new person to an existing position (for example 3 instead of 2 consultants).
I have updated the assignment evry time i changed something, and all the prerequisites are fullfilled.
Is there a way to solve this problem? Do i have do change the evaluation path?
I would be very grateful if someone postet.

Hi,
Please run report RHPROFL0 after you made new assignments in OM. There you need to select right evaluation path to assign roles from positions and org.units.

How to assign & changed org. unit to employee Id

Hi
We want to move some employees from one organizational unit to newly created one in transaction code PPOM_OLD.
In PPOM_OLD i created new Org. unit ,assign position then assigned existing employee pernr.
But when i see in PA30 the organizational unit remains same.
Even when i observed in PA0001 table i can see two entries for one employee number the old entry is with organizational unit where as new one doesn't have organizational unit at all
Please guide me how can i do changes.

Go to pa30- given the Perner-select infotype action 0000-period- all-click on overview
Now you can view all records related to infotype action-select the new created records-choose icon delete.
Now create the new organization unit, Position & their relationships through t-code pp01.
now transfer of employee from old position to new position through action tcode –pa40- select appropriate personal action (promotion, reorganization, transfer etc.)
Put the perner and effective date –execute –in next steps change details as per requirement i.e. in second part- organ. Assignment –
New position details –xxxxxxxx /Personnel area-xx/Employee group-x/Employee sub group-xx
Save.
System goes to next info type 0001-
In the same way give the require details & save.

Positions assigned to Org Units

Dear Consultants,
There are some designations / Positions (like Clerk / Assistant etc) common in more than one departments. How can we assign it in System?? When we assign any designation to the second department, the first assignment is delimited automatically.
can we specify that a person is working in a specific org unit? I think it is determined upon the Position.

Hi Bindumadhav,
Expecting that you are still looking out for replies, let me clarify one thing.
The Positions that you have mentioned here (like Clerk / Assistant etc) are not Positions, but Jobs. Jobs generally tell you what kind of activity is involved, whereas positions are specific individual employee assignments. You can create a Job and use that to Describe various positions. But each of these positions can Belong to one Org Unit (Department) only.

Business Partner number not assigned to ORG unit

hello colleagues,
I cretaed an Org Unit at the highest level, i have assigned Basic data, address data and i have assigned function and attribute, but when i save the Org unit,I am not getting the BP number,
can anyone tell me what could be reaosn for this, but normally whenever a new org unit is created
a BP has to be assigned to it right
please help me with this problem

To create a bp number & relationship for org unit follow the below process
==> SPRO
==> Customer Relationship Management
==> Master data
==> Business Partner
==> Integration Business Partner-Organization Management
==> Create Business Partner Initially
Click on Organisational Unit(s) and provide the input as 'ID' of the ORG and Execute
Click on the line and right click and select 'Start Repair'
If Bp is already existing, u wnat to build only relation ship follow the below process.
==> Use Tcode SE37
==> Use functional module as 'HR_OBJECTBUPA_INSERT' and Execute
==> Click on the value button and enter OT as 'O', OBJID as ID of the org BUPAGUID as
Businesspartner GUID and Execute

Employee resposnsibles Org unit Determination (Employee is assigned to Org Unit)

Hi ,
We want to determine Org unit based on employee responsible but not on basis of USER.
Employee responsible will be assigned to a particular position in Organization .
We want to determine Organization unit where Employee is assigned .
When in transaction Partner Function employee responsible is selected then Organization unit to which employee is assigned should get determined.
When employee resposnsible is changed Org unit (Service ) should change .
Please suggest solution.

first u need to do the filter settings in object BUPA_MAIN to stop the employee replication to R3.
When u create the no. ranges in r3 u can remove the filter so that the process will continue.

Urgent: Business Partner assignment to Org Unit

Hi,
I have created a Organisational Unit and assigned positions to each unit.
However when I try to assign any busniess partner its giving error as below
<b>The required data changes consist of two parts:
1. Scheduling existing relationships
2. Creating a new relatonship
The existing releationship(s) was/were successfully scheduled, but the system could not create the new relationship.</b>
Is there any specific config required for the Org assignments, if so pls tell me.
Help me its very urgent.

In change mode of org.& staffing, system is not allowing to create org.stru. in current plan. it's throwing error "No Valid interval found". Probably this is related to internal no. assignment.

Go to OONR and check what settings are already there.
Under entry $$$$ in Interval maintenance, there will be two intervals, one EX and other IN. EX interval range would be used for external assignment, IN would be used for internal assignment.
Check the ranges of the intervals. One reason could be that the range has been used up.

    1) can we assign contact person to org unit? i know we can assign emplyee to position...but what about contcat person...
    2)if we assign a target group to Marketing plan does that come to campaign element under it?

You can not assign contact person to org unit.
See the basic concept is org struct represents the company. And contact person is third party which is not the part of company. So it is not possible to assign contact person to org unit. Only BPs created in role Employee can be assigned to org units through positions.

Wrong Org unit determination when a user is assign to multiple Org unit

Hi Experts,
I have a user who is assigned 3 org units. All the three fall under the same parent of Org unit.
Now when the user logs in & executes the tcode CIC0, she gets a pop up asking to selet a Org unit out of the 3 available option.
No matter what the user selects, system always pick the first Org unit ignoring the selection made by user.
We are using SAP CRM 4.0 win client version.
I went through the below link but this did not have any solution

When the user log in he gets a pop up asking to choose a Org unit, please refer the screenshot in my previous post.
No matter what he selects, it the first Org structure gets assigned.

The business activity screen shows the 1st Org unit. Hence user thinks he has selected the the 2nd org unit creates a Business activity but that gets assign to the wrong org unit unless it is changed manually.

How to check logs of ORG UNIT like assignment of roles, removal of roles and validity changes to ORG UNIT ???

We have prod system in which role assignment is indirect.. Like roles are assigned to ORG UNIT and POSITION
We dont assign roles user based..
Structure is like this..
ORG UNIT ---> Positions -
> Users
Under ORG unit , there would be several POSITIONS and under POSITION there would be several users..
Some one has removed roles from ORG UNIT and all users under this ORG UNIT lost access....
We need to find out who did it ....
