Personal Actions (PA40)

There is always a strong possibility to create new future Personal Actions with PA40 transaction. The system may allow you to do this but unfortunately, when this actions are done and one personal action is intersperse between the future one and the last one created, the last Personal Action created in time (the future one) is inconsistent.
Is there any way to avoid this to happen ?

I dont see any reason there for this to be inconsistent- Please note that, Only those actions that change the Employment Status of the Employee need to be stored in the Actions Infotype- for all other actions, please use the Additional Actions Infotype.
Now, Actions IT has a time constraint of 1- which means, there can be only one record at all times- so, when you execute a future dated action, it would accept it and when you execute another action before the date of the future dated action, the future dated action gets superceded with the new action- which makes perfect sense.
Or, if you have any specific scenario that you are facing, please share that here.

    Hi Pradipta,
    You can use the change pointers for this.  Just check for what fields you want to trigger an IDOC.  But this can not be triggered immediately.  You have to run RBDMIDOC frequently.  It will take the input as messaeg type and generate the IDOCs.
    Before that please check if the change pointers are activated for this message type or not.

    ok,
    hope your hiring action is working.
    the user gruop and reference user group differ in the way that when there are no entries in the user group then the reference user gruop will be used.
    it is like alternate user group.
    the 2 Us
    first one stans for 0000 infotype. that means the action you have created/performed will be stored 0000
    the second one will stand for 0302. as such ifa additional action is done on the employee on the same day it will be stored in 0302 hence you have to specify this early itself.
    this is a standard one.

    you have to give this because there is a standard screen defined for PA40 with menu.
    what you have created shoud be added in that already existing menu.
    if you dont add it here then it will not be shown here.as you can see it says action menu.
    to that already standard menu you are adding yours.

  • Error in Personnel Actions (PA40)

    I'm new to the forum and just started learning SAP HCM
    Need your help in running Personnel Actions.
    I have setup the Personnel Actions using the following nodes from SPRO:
    1. User Group Dependency on Menus and Info Groups- Menu type G
    2. Info group modifier - IGMOD feature
    3. Define Infogroups
    4. Set up Personnel Actions
    5. Create Reasons for Personnel Actions
    6. User Group Dependency on Menus and Info Groups- Menu type M
    7. Change Action Menu
    Also, I have setup Internal Number Ranges and maintained NUMKR feature.
    ERROR:
    When I run the Personnel Actions (PA40) the system is not assigning the personnel number in IT0000. After saving this infotype, it moves to 'Create Actions' screen. Here the status bar displays the error as u201CNo infotype found. Maintain infogroup modifier/ user groupu201D
    Please guide.

    for your information
    menu type M should be 1(Actions) or any thing that you have defined.
    here you will give
    UGR seq.no action type action text
    xx     21     M1     Hiring
    xx     22     M2     xxxx
    xx     23     M3     xxxxx
    xx     24     M4     xxxx
    menu type G is Info group
    menu type M is Personnel action menu
    menu type G you will group the infotypes and make the infogroup. and this infogroup is inserted into menu type M(personnel actions menu)
    what ever the user group you have used in menu type M it should be at parameters in T.code : SU3
    and the MOLGA is country grouping. you have to input the MOLGA for which country you are doing this actions.
    because country country the infotype screen are different.

    I am using SAP IDES 4.6c version. During hiring an employee
    through personal action screen, i get CUIL/CUIT field. This
    field is mandatory to be filled. i can not hire any employee
    till i get values for this field.I am not able to get what it
    is. Can you please tell me how to disable this field.

    Dear Krishna!
    In this step, you make the system settings necessary for setting up a personnel action.
    A personnel action is a collection of several logically connected infotypes in the system which, in an exact sequence, are used for processing and are used for a particular system activity (see "Create Organizational Unit", for example).
    Personnel actions are identified by a key.
    You assign the following to each step of a personnel action:
    a plan version
    an object type
    an infotype or subtype
    a status
    default values for screen entry
    You also control, which Function codes are used by an infotype (within a personnel action).
    In a transaction controlled by a personnel action (PQ*) , you must determine the object types for which the action is to be executed. For each transaction related to an object type and controlled by a personnel action, specify which default personnel action(PQ*M) is to be processed by the corresponding transaction.
    For each default personnel action within a transaction controlled by personnel actions, you can access a Process description.
    <u><b>Example</b></u>
    Personnel action "Create organizational unit":
    Personnel action Plan ver. ObjType Infotype Subtype FCode VarField
    O ** O 1000   INSE
    O ** O 1002 0001 INSE
    O ** O 1003   INSE
    O ** O 1001 A011 INSE K
    The personnel action "Create organizational unit" includes the following steps:
    Creating the "Object" infotype (1000)
    Creating the "Description" infotype (1002) with the "General Description" subtype (0001)
    Creating the "Department/Staff" infotype (1003)
    Creating the "Relationship" infotype (1001) with the "Cost Center Assignment" subtype (A011) for object type "K" (Cost Center).
    <u><b>Activities</b></u>
    1. Create the required personnel actions.
    2. For each personnel action, determine the following:
    Corresponding object type
    Required infotypes and subtypes
    Function code (INSERT, COPY)
    The plan versions for which the personnel action is to be valid
    The planning status in which the objects are to be created.
    Entering default values is optional.
    3. Enter the object type that is to be processed as well as the key of the personnel action for the transaction to be controlled by a personnel action.
    Further notes
    Ensure that you arrange infotypes in a logical order when defining a personnel action. The "Object" infotype must always be processed first and must have line number "001".
    A personnel action may only be defined for one object type.
    You can create three-digit personnel actions between "001" and "999".

    Any guide or pointers to customize "Personal Action" in SSHR-Employee Self Service Responsibility?
    Our Requirement is, Need to add "Personal Action Menu" with our Customized Responsibility?
    We have list of action to be displayed in the page which already linked to a custom Menu( Say CUSTOM_MENU) and set the profile value "HR: Personal Actions Menu" as "CUSTOM_MENU".
    But through the customized menu, I'm not getting any action in the page.
    Please advice.

    if you want to remove completely, then you have to customize the taskflow 'oracle/webcenter/webcenterapp/view/taskflows/navigation/SpacesNavigationTopPanel'.

    Hi Albert,
    I can only agree with Samuel. The only correct way to "create" a new employee is to use batch input.
    You can modify the infogroup by using your own user group. Thus you can reduce the number of infotypes (table T588D) to meet exactly your batch input demands.
    Please note, that in batch input no dynamic actions will be processed.

    Diagnosis
    The combination you have chosen for the action is not permitted. The infotype 0302 (Additional actions) is active and all completed actions saved in infotype 0000 (actions) must also be logged in infotype 0302.

    For this you need to check the T529A.in that  the column U0302 is checked for all personla actions or not. check the table T77S0 where the switch is activated for ADMIN EVSUP ( 1 ) .
    check this report RPUEVSUP.

    Hi,
    My requirement is to create BP's in WFM once employees are created in HCM through converstion process. Hence no personnel actions will be triggered.
    I found the solution.
    1. When employees are created in HCM through any process, a relationship CP with emloyee will be created in HRP1001.
    2. Then execute RE_HR_SYNC_PERSON, and select all employees from step 1.
    3. Then Syncronize the employees, and by doing this will create BP's in SAP - WFM.
    4. Once the BP's are created and will be visible under New Employees tab in WFM.

    User is facing the follwing below error:
    "User cannot able transfer our Finance Mgnr position to Bulgaria .
    The transfer is necessary to show that our Finance mgnr has been relocated to Bulgaria...all other details remain the same for the position........
    When I try to perform his transfer action, it given me error on main screen of hiring IT 0000-Actions that: "Orgnasational reassignement not permitted"

    As per my analyses:
    "The SAP help provided with the error indicates that program RPUPAV00 should be executed for the personnel number and country grouping. This program populates the country grouping in table PA0003, field VEIKN. Once this field is populated the error no longer occurs."
    I dont know the relevence of field VEIKN in resolving this issue?
    what is the purpose of this field & how it is linked to IT0003??
    OR We need to falg the check box? as mentioned earlier in T529A??

    You may create two user dependent infogroups and assign them to two different user groups.And based on user parameter settings, it will be allowed to user.

    Moderator Message: Why dont you put some effort from your end in finding out the right EXIT/BADI. SAP has some standard procedures for these enhancements. Employ them and help yourself.

    Did you mean that click
    Devices and Printers in Control Panel, click a printer and select “Print server properties” option, and then didn’t find the new created form in Forms tab in Print server properties panel?
    Please open Print Management, navigate to the Print Server and click Forms tab. In the right panel, did you
    find the new form which you created?

  • Query on Personnel Actions

    I have a few personnel actions like "Trainee Extension", "Probation Extension", where I should allow the user to change the training period or probation period. In which infotype should I store this data, so that I can include it in the corresponding personnel action?
    Also, I have a personnel action called "Separation", where I should allow the user to choose an employee group like resigned, retired etc and also allow him to enter the date of separation. I know that the employee group can be changed in infortype 0001, but what about date of separation? Is it the "To" date in Action infotype screen?

    Hi,
    In create reason for personal action under Hiring Action/ the action under which you want to see this reason there give  Trainee Extension", "Probation Extension" and save.
    Run pa40 with personal number and give the date on which the action is taking place and gohead.
    And for seperation you have to run action in pa40 and has to give the date of seperation and save dont go to pa
    30 and click on edit and change the date in IT 0001
    Makesure any action shld be run through pa40
